Lancey Foux Continues His Trend Of Softer Cuts On Cash Cobain Backed Single “Gotta Get U”

Stratford, London rapper and singer Lancey Foux has been riding an R&B wave as of late on his last few singles. It has been a little bit of a deviation from his September 2023 album BACK2DATRAP which saw him bring more aggressive trap raps to the table. But 2024 has been about exploring melodies and crooning and that has not been a bad thing so far. “Gotta Get U” is the latest offering from Lancey Foux in this format and he is working with a special talent.

New York-bred producer and rapper Cash Cobain has been all over the place in the last few months. He has worked with talents of all levels, including names like Bktherula, Ice Spice, Jay Critch, just to name a few. He was also quoted, saying he had future collaborations with Don Toliver, Travis Scott, and even Frank Ocean of all people. There is no doubt that his woozy and intoxicating sound is making waves across the industry and across the pond.

The sped-up drums, along with the spacey instrumental, complement Lancey’s lyrics about wanting to take a girl back to his place for an intimate time. Check out “Gotta Get U” with the link above.

Quotable Lyrics:

Let’s get back to the spot, lеt’s get back to the pent (To thе pent)
I’ve got one uptown girl and I’ve got one in the ends
I know how to keep her aroused, I keep her close to the edge
I’m in New York, what’s up, I’m sorry that it’s been a minute
I’ve got her too turned up, I make her feel sexy
Can’t tell her to get undressed, she already came undressed

Drake Makes Serious Accusations On Latest Diss “Family Matters”

Drake was waiting. It’s obvious from the opening seconds of “Family Matters” that he had the beat and the song concept locked. The instrumental that played during the outro of his previous diss, “Push Ups,” kicks back in, and he skates on it like he never left. He addresses the fact that Kendrick Lamar made reference to his son, Adonis, and tells the rapper that now he has to “deal with his dad.” Drake had to deal with multiple targets on “Push Ups,” but he doesn’t waste time here. He goes right after Lamar’s credibility as a “set banger” and an activist.

“Always rapping like you ’bout to get the slaves freed,” Drake asserts. “You just acting like a activist, it’s make believe. Don’t even go back to your hood and plant no money trees. You say you hate the girls I f*ck, but what you really mean?” The density of these bars tells you pretty much everything you need to know about “Family Matters.” It’s a great diss, and one that had a lot of thought put into it. Drake not only references Kendrick Lamar’s 2012 hit “Money Trees,” but pokes holes in the concept of Lamar as a good role model for Compton kids. It gets more aggressive from there.

Drake Calls Kendrick Lamar A Domestic Abuser

It’s the final verse that really ups the ante, though. Drake addresses Kendrick Lamar’s relationship with his wife, Whitney Alford. Lamar has admitted to cheating on his wife on his album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers, but Drake claims their domestic situation is even worse. “You know I mean,” he raps. “They hired a crisis management team to clean up the fact that you beat on your queen.” An absolutely withering blow to end on.

What are your thoughts on this new diss, “Family Matters” by Drake? Does you think Drake went too far with his bars? Do you think he managed to top Kendrick Lamar’s previous diss? What does the song do to Lamar’s reputation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Drake. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

Kevin Abstract & Lil Nas X Break Out Their Previously Teased Collaboration “Tennessee”

Did you ever expect to hear Lil Nas X and Kevin Abstract of BROCKHAMPTON fame on one track? Well, we certainly did not have that on our bingo card going into 2024, but here we are. Two of the more prominent figures in the LGBTQ+ hip-hop community are teaming up for what appears to be the beginning of another album rollout for Kevin. Late last year, he made his solo return after four years with his indie record Blanket.

Now, according to Genius, the Texas singer and rapper will be coming through with a project with the rumored title being glue. It does not have a release date, other than it is expected sometime this year. This alleged lead single “Tennessee” sees Kevin Abstract and Lil Nas X fully embracing their homosexuality and how their partners love all that comes with them. The raunchy track was produced by Kevin and Quadeca as well.

According to Yahoo Entertainment, this song was previewed during the second weekend of Coachella just a couple of weeks ago. Both went onstage to perform, and even though we did not pick up on this, they have been close for a long time. Another fun fact is that they actually attended the same Georgia high school but were not aware of each other until they both became the respective stars that they are. You can check out the accompanying music video for “Tennessee” above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Tennessee” by Kevin Abstract and Lil Nas X? Are your surprised that these two collaborated together, why or why not? Anuel AA Compares Bad Bunny & Kendall Jenner To Diddy & Cassie On New Track “Toki”

Back in December of last year, it was reported that Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner decided to go their separate ways after almost a year of dating. Throughout their relationship, they kept a pretty low profile, though they did end up starring in a Gucci campaign together a few months before their split. While they didn’t share many details of the breakup, sources claimed that neither of them were ready for anything too long-term when they got together.

“They have cr*zy busy schedules and know they’re still young and have a lot more to experience individually before settling down,” a source told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “They still want the best for one another. Kendall’s family still thinks highly of him. They just want her to be with whoever makes her happy, treats her with love and respect, and someone that understands and can handle the attention that comes along with dating her with poise and grace.”

Anuel AA Takes Aim At Bad Bunny

One of Bad Bunny’s longtime foes, Anuel AA, seems to disagree. Earlier this week, he dropped off his new song “Toki” alongside Casper Magico, Luar La L, and Izaak. On it, he takes aim at his fellow Puerto Rican performer, claiming that Kendall broke up with him for the same reason Cassie split from Diddy. For those who don’t recall, Cassie sued Diddy for alleged sexual assault, physical abuse, and more in November of last year. They settled shortly after she filed, though Diddy and his team insist this was not an admission of guilt.

What do you think of Anuel AA dissing Bad Bunny on his new track “Toki” with Casper Magico, Luar La L, and Izaak? What about him alleging that Kendall left him for the same reason Cassie left Diddy? Did he go too far? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Conway The Machine Enters Key Glock’s Playing Field On “Ten/Rya Interlude” With Rya Maxwell

Conway the Machine is gearing for up for yet another project in just one week called SFK (Slant Faced Killer). It will be his fourth studio album, so you know he is going all out for it. The proof is in the massive list of features he revealed to the world just yesterday via Instagram. From all-time great producers to rappers of all sorts of stature, it will definitely be an event. One feature that sticks out to us is Key Glock.

Because of the aggressive Memphis trap sound Glock brings, and the dusty boom-bap beats that Conway coasts over, the mixture will be interesting. Well, now we know what that sounds like, as the Buffalo MC has dropped their first-ever collab, “Ten/Rya Interlude.” Conway sounds great over the hard-hitting trap percussion and Glock delivers his familiar gruesome and braggadocious lyricism. As you can tell from the title, this is a two-part track, and on the second half Rya Maxwell completely takes over.

Listen To “Ten/Rya Interlude” By Conway The Machine, Key Glock, & Rya Maxwell

His portion is not bad, but his delivery is a little off-putting at times, and not nearly as effective as the “Ten” side of the single. The fade in to second half is done pretty well, though. The first leg slowly disappears, with almost complete silence following right after. Then, a slight portion of the new trap instrumental slowly begins to reveal itself. This is now the third single, with “Give & Give” with Cool & Dre, and “Vertino” with Joey Bada$$ dropping about two months prior.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “Ten/Rya Interlude” by Conway the Machine, Key Glock and Rya Maxwell? Does Conway have an album of the year contender incoming, why or why not? Who had the stronger performance on the track? Do you like the Key and Conway duo? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. 4batz Officially Releases “Act III: On God?” Remix With Kanye West

4batz has quickly become one of the more controversial artists we have in R&B and hip-hop. Fans have been all sorts of confused as to how this Dallas, Texas singer became so popular. His single “act ii date @ 8” was the song that had the internet in a chokehold for better or worse depending on who you ask. It got so much buzz, that Drake even recognized that he had something cooking. Eventually, it led to them making a remix that some were also not to fond of. Another 4batz track that some felt did not need a remix of was “act iii: on god? (she like).”

A few weeks ago, a snippet of the “act iii” remix made the rounds on X, and it had revealed that Kanye West and 4batz had been working in the studio. Then, not too long after, another clip surfaced that saw the rookie and the vet relistening to their collaboration. Instead of being released as a fifth single to 4batz’s debut tape u made me a st4r, it became strictly an album cut. Even though people were highly critical of Ye’s verse, the lyrical content definitely matches the vibe of what 4batz likes to do.

However, we can see why there were so many skeptics for this reason. The vocal delivery from Kanye comes across a little awkwardly, especially compared to what his enemy Drake did on his respective remix. All in all, it makes a for a decent, but not great first team-up. Still, give the remix of “act iii” a listen above.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new song “act iii: on god? (she like) (Remix)” by 4batz and Kanye West? Do you think this remix was necessary, why or why not? How are you feeling about u made me a st4r so far? Do you still view him as an industry plant? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Kendrick Lamar Continues To Whale On Drake With Stunning Diss “6:16 In LA”

Kendrick Lamar lived up to a “promise” he made to himself on “euphoria” just a couple of days ago. “Back To Back,” I like that record / I’ma get back to that, for the record.” It turns out he really did have something else cooking, as Kendrick Lamar has just dropped “6:16 in LA.” The song was released on his Instagram just about an hour ago, and like “euphoria,” it is sending the internet into a frenzy.

“6:16 in LA” sees K-Dot ride a more laid-back instrumental with some pretty synths, minimal drums and guitar, as well as a soulful vocal loop. As for the disses, Lamar takes aim at the Drake stans like DJ Akademiks, “Yeah, somebody’s lyin’, I could see the vibes on Ak’ / Even he lookin’ compromised, let’s peel the layers back.” He also suggests that people over at OVO are working for him and praying on Drake’s downfall in this beef. “Have you ever thought that OVO was workin’ for me?Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it / Can’t “Toosie Slide” up out of this one, it’s just gon’ resurface.”

Kendrick also calls out how The Boy has been using memes to poke and prod him to respond. “You’re playin’ dirty with Zack Bia and Twitter bots / But your reality can’t hide behind Wi-Fi / Your lil’ memes is losing steam, they figured you out.” As for the title of the track, Genius feels this is another reference to something that Drake is known for. What we mean is “euphoria” was calling back to the Netflix show Euphoria, something that he had a hand in. “6:16 in LA” plays on the timestamp series that Drake has. There is a lot more to breakdown with this surprise release, so be sure to stick around.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new single “6:16 in LA” by Kendrick Lamar? Are you surprised that he dissed Drake again so quickly, why or why not? Does this stand up to “euphoria,” or is this just something to tide fans over? What bars stood out to you the most? But I pick the carcass apart
Yeah, somebody’s lyin’, I could see the vibes on Ak’

DaBaby And Skilla Baby Join Forces For Colorful “Judy” Music Video

DaBaby has one of the steepest falloffs of all time. The rapper was everywhere, then nowhere thanks to some polarizing comments and a general refusal to apologize. He’s attempting a comeback with the EP Ghetto Superstar: The Intro, and the lead single, “Judy,” has already generated a lot of buzz. The single spawned the #JudyChallenge on Instagram and TikTok, and now DaBaby has dropped the official video alongside Skilla Baby. The video delivers on the virality of the song itself, with lots of dancing and goofy expressions from the emcees.

“Judy” is a transparent swing for the fences with regards to landing a summer anthem. The thing is, the music video kind of sells it. The instrumental and the old school sample are infectious, and the visuals match up perfectly. You already know there’s going to be lots of twerking in a song about girls named Judy with big booties. If you didn’t, the chorus gives it away: “If that a*s soft, it ain’t gotta be big (x3).” The music video throws it back to the 90s, with bright clothes and a Miami bass sound that still sounds fresh. DaBaby is the official director on the video, and it’s obvious he was going for a specific, retro feel. It works.

DaBaby And Skilla Baby Go Full Miami Bass

DaBaby brings plenty of charisma in front of the camera, spitting his rapid fire verse amidst a sea of dancers. The rapper’s lighthearted interactions make it easier to overlook the fact that he’s rapping about taking out his ops. “I can’t even imagine a n**ga runnin’ down on me,” he raps with an upbeat delivery. “I get to openin’ up fire, n**ga better not get hit, b*tch.” The guest verse from Skill Baby is a much better match for the instrumental, but “Judy” didn’t go viral because of the bars. It wen viral because it’s a catchy and colorful.

What are your thoughts on this brand-new music video for “Judy” by DaBaby and Skilla Baby? Is the DaBaby comeback in full effect? Do you want to hear a full-length project from DaBaby again? Which rapper had the better verse? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Gunna Aims For The Neck On New Single “Whatsapp (Wassam)”

Gunna caught the stray of all strays on Kendrick Lamar’s “Euphoria” diss. The Compton rapper used Gunna as an example of a snitch, which is a label Gunna has been trying to separate himself from since the YSL trial got underway. The best way to make listeners forget about past indiscretions, though, is to put out good music. That’s exactly what Gunna does with his new single “Whatsapp (Wassam).” The song is a teaser for the rapper’s upcoming album, and it makes good on the hype.

Gunna previewed “Whatsapp (Wassam) on April 21, 2024. There wasn’t an official title, so fans took to calling the snippet “Push Back.” It makes sense, given the repeated use of the phrase in the chorus. “Sh*t changed but it still get pushed back (Push back),” Gunna raps. “I drop, make these little n**gas push back (Push).” The bars are standard Gunna fare, with talk of belittling other rappers and flossing how much more he makes than his competition. He makes it clear that he doesn’t like wasting time on “chit chat” if the topic isn’t money. “But f*ck that, look at my accomplishments,” he urges the listener. “Let’s check out my style, astonishin.”

Gunna Sounds Quietly Menacing On His Album Teaser

Turbo laces “Whatsapp (Wassam)” with a tight, hard-knocking instrumental. It’s not groundbreaking by any means, and the underlying melody sounds a bit like Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy,” but it still knocks. Turbo and Gunna go way back, as the former served as an executive producer on Gunna’s breakout project, Drip or Drown 2. He’s also produced some of the rapper’s best songs, including “Drip Too Hard” and “Wunna.” The two artists keep their winning streak intact here.

What are your thoughts on this new single, “Whatsapp (Wassam)” by Gunna? Does this track get you excited for his upcoming album, One of Wun? Do you think Gunna will be able to shake off the “snitch” allegations? Will a good album be enough to restore his reputation? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Gunna.
