Vybz Kartel Brings Intimidating Music Video For “Hostile”

Kingston, Jamaica is the home of dancehall artist extraordinaire, Vybz Kartel. The long-time musician has been in the business since the late 2000s. However, he is not a free man as of 2011. The 47-year-old was charged with the murder of a fellow Jamaican businessman, Barrington Burton. However, he was released on bail a little bit later on. Incredibly, though, he was charged with the murder of someone else in the same year. All of this is according to Sportskeeda.

Kartel was found guilty of the death of one other man, Clive Williams, on March 13, 2014. It was not a quick decision, though. The final verdict came after a lengthy 65-day trial. He is still currently serving time at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Center. On top of this, Vybz was/is suffering from Graves disease. It is an autoimmune disorder caused by an overactive thyroid. His face and neck were swelling up so much that it was posed as life-threatening. However, even with all of this going on his team is still releasing music here and there.

Jaidyn Alexis’ “Barbie” Single & Music Video Might Be Her Best Work Yet: Watch

Say what you want about Jaidyn Alexis, the girl has seriously impressed us in terms of her hustle over the past few months. The “Stewie” rapper’s baby daddy, Blueface, revealed recently that the only reason he didn’t marry his high school sweetheart is due to her lack of support for his rap career. Years later, the pair have put their differences to the side as the Cr*zy In Love star invests his time and money into making Alexis a rap star in her own right.

After her aforementioned debut single, the mother of two returned with “Workout,” and more recently, “Post Opp.” The lyrics of those songs largely focused on the hateful comments trolls have made about Alexis’ BBL. Her latest release, “Barbie,” is similar in nature, and it may be some of the 25-year-old’s most confident work yet. She shared the single and video to commemorate her birthday on Monday (October 2), and so far, listeners seem to be loving what they hear.

“She keeps getting better. She’s got the whole [image] and she can actually articulate her words. No robotics in her flow,” one YouTube user wrote in the video’s comment section. “Okay this one is a banger! Jaidyn can flow, she came through on this one,” another person praised the birthday girl.

Chrisean Rock’s Pregnancy Journey Shown In New “Prayer For Chrisean Jr.” Music Video Feat. Mookie

The public has been admittedly hard on Chrisean Rock since she first announced her pregnancy in January. To be fair, it’s not like her often-emotionally immature behaviour didn’t warn the concern. Thankfully, she’s made noticeable efforts to grow and do better since stepping into motherhood. The Baltimore native may not be perfect, but as the music video she dropped today (October 2) shows, she’s got a huge heart, and it’s full of love for her firstborn son.

Nearly one month after Chrisean Jr. took his first breath, his famous parents have already shown him off in two visuals. The first, “Baby Momma Drama” saw Blueface reflecting on the chaos in his life thanks to Rock and Jaidyn Alexis. For her part, the Baddies cast member opted to focus on more positive topics, like the dreams she has for her son’s future. In her “Prayer For Chrisean Jr.” song, the young boy’s mother sings about learning to have conversations with God with some help from her brother, Mookie.

“My mama taught me how to pray / I got that baby on my hip like every day,” Rock’s sibling sings halfway through the track. “This s**t get cr*zy ’round my way like every day / Money calling, I ain’t stalling on the way,” he continues. Speaking of money, we see just how hard Rock worked all throughout her pregnancy in the accompanying video too. From doing photoshoots with her baby bump to making appearances at rowdy clubs, she didn’t quit.

Oliver Tree Gets Vulnerable On New Album “Alone In A Crowd”

Oliver Tree has returned with another LP, Alone In A Crowd. The new project follows his 2022 album, Cowboy Tears. Back in June, the 30-year-old performer gave listeners a taste of what was to come with “Bounce.” The romantic track is accompanied by an expectedly bizarre music video, directed by the Santa Cruz native himself.

He dropped off three more singles ahead of the release, “One & Only,” “Essence” feat. Super Computer, and “Fairweather Friends.” Each one is joined by a similarly surreal visual, and they’ve all already managed to rack up millions of views on YouTube alone.

Oliver Tree – “Fairweather Friends”

Listeners hear Oliver Tree embracing a variety of different flavors on his latest project, opening up on laid back tracks like “Highlight Of My Life,” while tapping elements of hip hop on songs such as “Fairweather Friends.” He explores themes of love, heartbreak, and feeling like an outcast on Alone In A Crowd, recruiting the help of Super Computer and Robin Schulz.

At the end of September, Oliver Tree spoke to NPR about the new release, revealing that the project was built around a fictional character he created, “Cornelius Cummings.” He explained that he drew inspiration from his whirlwind success, pulling themes of alienation from his own lived experiences. “I became incredibly lonely,” he said of his hasty rise to fame. “I felt isolated, Rapunzel-ed (ph). It wasn’t actually a really healthy experience. Whether it’s tons of praise or tons of negativity, there’s nothing healthy about that for the psyche.” What do you think of Alone In A Crowd? What songs will you be adding to your playlist? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Oliver Tree.

Alone In A Crowd Tracklist:

1. Bounce
2. One & Only

OutKast Celebrates 25th Anniversary Of “Aquemini” With Visuals For “SpottieOttieDopaliscious: Watch

OutKast’s incredible reputation proceeds them at this point. Their massively successful catalog is undoubtedly one of the very best in hip-hop history. Of course, that goes to Big Boi and Andre 3000’s songwriting skills. They were able to create lush and colorful soundscapes in so many different ways, that there are not many who can replicate their artistry. Even with all of the vast talent in the Atlanta rap scene, you would be hard-pressed to find someone better than these two. The duo has been celebrating a lot this year. Namely, the anniversaries of their classic albums.

Two of their most well-known albums, ATLiens, and Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, both hit incredible milestones. The first of the two just turned 27 a few days ago and the latter is 20 years old. Now, they paying homage to another one of their records, Aquemini. Their third project, released back in 1998 hit the 25th anniversary mark not too long ago. How did OutKast decide to celebrate this momentous occasion? They just put out some stunning, colorful, and trippy visuals for one of the tracks.

OutKast Puts Out Music Video For “SpottieOttieDopaliscious”

The one they chose to show love to is “SpottieOttieDopaliscious.” One of the longer tracks off of the project, it is a rich-sounding vibe filled with horns and a whole lot of soul. Unfortunately, there is no reunion of sorts in these visuals, just some eclectic color schemes and mind-bending sequences. Without being greedy, they do fit the song perfectly, showing that OutKast still has the creative juice. The video above was posted originally by HipHopDX.

What are your initial thoughts on these visuals from OutKast for “SpottieOttieDopaliscious” from Aquemini? Were you disappointed that they did not film a music video together for it? Kanye West & Nicki Minaj’s Scrapped “New Body” Music Video Surfaces Online

The music video for “New Body”, an unreleased track by Kanye featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign, has surfaced online. The nearly four-minute video is a trippy collection of neon visuals. The video is meant to accompany the song’s original message about body shaming and cosmetic surgery stigma. “New Body” was originally meant to appear on the unreleased Yandhi. However, it was reworked into a Christian track for Jesus Is King. However, creative differences between Kanye and Minaj meant that the song was left off the album. Ty Dolla Sign implied on his track “Status” in 2020 that Kanye refused to release the song because it was “generic shit”.

The song has circulated online since 2019 but this is the first time that the music video has been publicly available. This may speak to Minaj’s intentions to try and get the song included on her upcoming album, Pink Friday 2. Minaj has spoken about trying to get “New Body” released since at least 2020, with the intention becoming to include it on Pink Friday 2 when she first began to hint at the album in 2022. It remains to be seen if the song will ever get the official release that Minaj so clear wants for it.

Pink Friday 2: What We Know About Minaj’s New Album

Debates about “New Body” aside, there is a decent amount we do know about Pink Friday 2. Minaj has released two singles that are confirmed for the album. “Super Freaky Girl”, which also went viral on TikTok, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. In doing so, it made Nicki the first solo female rapper to debut at #1 since 1998. Meanwhile, “Last Time I Saw You” peaked at #23 on the mainstream charts. However, Minaj also performed the song at the 2023 VMAs. Furthermore, Nicki also released the promotional single, “Ruby Red Da Sleaze”, which peaked at #13. Later, Minaj would indicate its inclusion on the album.

Furthermore, the cover art shows a chicly-dressed Minaj vibing in a pink subway car flying above the New York skyline. However, a tracklist and any potential featured artists are yet to be announced. Despite this, fans will have to wait another month or so. Pink Friday 2 is set to be released on November 17.

Nas Uses “Fever” Music Video To Commemorate His 50th Birthday Party

When Nas raises a glass of champagne these days, there are so many things he could be celebrating. For one, he just finalized his collaborative double trilogy series with Hit-Boy with the release of Magic 3, bringing their legendary run to a triumphant close. Also, there’s the Queens MC’s 50th birthday, which fittingly and almost perfectly coincides with the 50th anniversary of the birth of hip-hop. For his latest music video, he combined all of these elements together to make an extravagant and joyous tribute. The track “Fever” was a perfect fit for this, both as Magic 3‘s opening cut and one of its most effective homages to the game and to the Queens legend’s life.

Specifically, the visual covers his 50th birthday party in New York, which held so many stars within and outside of the genre. Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Raekwon, Slick Rick, DJ Premier, Hit-Boy, Fat Joe, Black Thought, and even Robert DeNiro pop up as cameos in the video, along with many others. They all attended Nas’ huge party, and other names like Kendrick Lamar also stopped by to pay their respects and congratulations. For one of the greatest MCs to ever live, we can expect nothing less luxurious, victorious, and special.

Nas & Hit-Boy’s “Fever” Music Video: Watch

In addition, if you didn’t already think “Fever” was a lavish and evocative song, its music video will certainly convince you. For example, the sampled strings in the instrumental pair perfectly with images of fancy dishes, tuxedos, and expensive bottles of liquor and spirits. When you hear the “Represent” callback to one of Nas’ classic hits and see Preemo on the screen, you can’t help but feel goosebumps. All in all, it made for something that almost feels like a send-off, but we know that the Mass Appeal head honcho will always have gas in the tank.

Meanwhile, Magic 3 finished off what might become one of the best runs and collabs in the 2020s decade. It’s something that producer Hit-Boy dreamt of ten years before they linked up, and the fruits of their labor were golden. Here’s hoping they continue to chase those dreams, which age can never fade away. For more updates and the latest news on Nas, come back to HNHH.

Blueface Taps Chrisean Rock For “Baby Momma Drama” Music Video

Turns out that Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s teased music video landed just as fast as we expected. Moreover, he recently released the visuals for his new track “Baby Momma Drama,” in which he talks about… well, read the title. Specifically, the rapper spits bars about singing both of his kids’ mothers to MILF Music, and the Baddies star inks her contract in the vid. Other than that, it’s the usual sights: hanging out at a gas station, recording in the studio, posted up in the bathroom, and dancing with Chrisean. It’s more of a news item that it is a new release, but with such a wild backstory to their relationship, that will always be the case.

Regardless, the song itself isn’t too bad, albeit not as exciting as Blueface’s previous work that put him on the map. He replaced his offbeat flows and expressive vocal delivery with a more monotone delivery and a common West Coast flair. Furthermore, the beat also exemplifies this with ghostly choral vocal samples and a hard-hitting Cali bounce. “Baby Momma Drama” isn’t on streaming services as of writing this article, so it’s tough to think about the song out of context.

“Baby Momma Drama” Soundtracks The Reunion Of Blueface & Chirsean Rock

For those unaware, this is the latest chapter in the long, volatile, and always shifting romantic life of the 26-year-old. His other baby momma, Jaidyn Alexis, was furious that Blueface and Chrisean Rock linked back up, as the couple dissed each other online. In addition, just a few weeks ago, Blue and Chrisean were at each other’s throats over the proper care of their newborn son, Chrisean Jr. As such, the main thing that this video proves is that the California MC knows how to make a quick buck off of his life’s gossip.

Meanwhile, we’re sure that this state won’t last long, and that the three will continue to fight and make up over time. After all, we have no reason to believe any different. At the very least, if you want a quick and painless representation of this whole circus, “Baby Momma Drama” is a pretty concise summary. Who would’ve thought? For more news and the latest updates on Blueface and Chrisean Rock, come back to HNHH.

Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion Twerk Up A Storm In “Bongos” Music Video

Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are two artists who have proven to have amazing chemistry together. Overall, they have done some amazing performances together. Moreover, they completely set the world on fire with their collaborative track, “WAP.” As we have mentioned previously, this song was a cultural phenomenon thanks to both the lyrics and the music video. It was an extremely polarizing song, however, its staying power is still being flexed, to this day.

Recently, Cardi announced that she would be dropping a second song with Megan. This time, the track would be called “Bongos” and wouldn’t be nearly as sexually explicit. On Friday, the song was officially released, and it is clear that Cardi was telling the truth. However, that does not mean the song isn’t any good. This is a banger through and through, with both artists delivering great energy. As for the music video, it has everything you would want and more from a collab between these two.
