Kendrick Lamar’s Microphone Gives Out During “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM” Performance With Beyonce

Kendrick Lamar and Beyonce are both seasoned pros when it comes to the art of performing. They reminded us of just that during the latter’s birthday concert in Los Angeles on Monday (September 4) night. Throughout the weekend, Queen B took over the stage at SoFi Stadium with a seriously impressive roster of guest openers. Among them were Doechii, Lil Wayne, and 2 Chainz. For her final show in California, the mother of three brought Compton native Kendrick Lamar out to body their “AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM (Remix),” though they were unfortunately met with some technical difficulties.

As XXL Mag reports, when it was the DAMN. hitmaker’s turn to rap his verse, his microphone appeared to cut out. Issues like this have been happening frequently for artists. Most recently we’ve been reporting on 50 Cent’s ongoing mic-throwing lawsuit. The synchronicity is likely due to the ongoing Mercury Retrograde, which is known to cause issues with communication. It’s unclear if Lamar wasn’t aware that his sound wasn’t coming through, or if he continued performing anyway to avoid ruining the moment. Still, the video below shows him hitting every word while Bey dances beside him.

Beyonce Entertains Her Audience Amid Kendrick Lamar’s Technical Difficulties

If the birthday girl took note of Lamar’s audio issues (which were resolved by the latter half of his verse), then she certainly did her part to keep us entertained. In her iconic bee costume, the “Halo” singer dropped it low and even slipped in some Vogueing moves. Overall it appears as though she had a memorable time celebrating her special day with friends and fans. The Grammy Award winner will be taking a few days to rest before she heads up north to Canada to take over BC Place on September 11.

Chrisean Rock Brings Her Pregnant Energy To The Stage On “Crazy In Love”

Through the reality TV show “Crazy In Love,” audiences have seen Blueface and Chrisean Rock’s relationship evolve in both nasty and heartening ways. Given how volatile, outspoken, and blunt both personalities are, that duality took over the narrative in their history. However, a lot of people grew tired of the same old tropes and movements, pointing to the constant negativity as a reason to tune out. Drama filled up every corner of their interactions, whether between each other or expanding it to other figures in their lives. On the latest episode, though, fans at least got some more vibrant content to latch onto.

Moreover, Chrisean Rock hit the stage to perform her song “vibe” in Miami for a fight night in the new episode. In fact, the episode shows how she spoke to Blueface nervously before it was time to walk out and impress the crowd. Think what you will of the show and track themselves, but you can’t deny that the “Baddies” star brought a lot of energy with her vocals and attitude. Now, we know that the baby bump is no longer there, as Chrisean Rock welcomed her child with Blueface into the world on Sunday (September 3). That’s been another weird part of “Crazy In Love”: seeing Blue and Rock in one timeline while another develops in the current day. Regardless, we know that it hasn’t been an easy postpartum process for the Baltimore native, and it’s only been a little over 24 hours. Via Twitter, she shared that she doubled down on not inviting the California rapper to the hospital to be there for her birth.

“I simply ain’t invite him I went to my city to have my child,” she wrote. “None of you weird a** ppl ain’t finna be around my son. I’m all he got I’ma do everything I can to protect him from hate and jealousy or anything. Drake Shares That He’s “Single & Ready To Mingle” During Show

In fact, he even took time to dance with a young fan backstage recently, which was one of the more wholesome moments from this trek. Switching topics, though, it seems like Drizzy also had relationships on his mind for one of his latest shows. Rather, he’s thinking about the lack of one. In one of his breaks between songs, the Toronto superstar remarked how good he feels to be un-cuffed right now.

“I’m so glad I’m single on this tour,” Drake explained to the thousands of fans in attendance. “Because I just don’t have to feel guilty at all. Imagine if I was, like, married or some s**t and girls just hitting me in the face with just t*tty assaults every night and s**t. How would I go and explain that to anybody. So glad I’m single and ready to mingle, by the way. Ready to mingle, by the way!” However, what might be funniest about the clip is that somebody threw a piece of clothing at him mid-speech, giving further proof to his statement.

Of course, this won’t faze a lot of fans that weren’t there to witness it, mostly because they have more pressing OVO matters on their hands. For All The Dogs became one of the most anticipated albums of 2023 in the very moment that Drake announced it. We already know the cover art, the “old me” direction, and some features, namely Nicki Minaj and Bad Bunny. As for the Houston MC, he performed “FE!N” and “I KNOW ?,” presumably among others, for the audience. People were quite surprised and excited when he joined the party, and there are plenty of clips of it floating around social media.

It’s a tough conversation to have, especially when the “HYEANA” artist is silent on these issues and continues to operate as usual. Drake’s Vancouver Concert Postponement Upsets Canadian Fans

Though Drake originally hails from Canada, and he takes plenty of pride in being the 6ix God, his performances in his home country don’t always go as planned. Unfortunately for those in Vancouver hoping to attend his It’s All a Blur show on Monday (August 28), they were met with news of a last-minute postponement to Wednesday evening. Many were obviously upset by the news, especially after spending their afternoon getting ready and pre-gaming, but thankfully it’s not all bad news.

While 21 Savage has been joining Champagne Papi on stages across North America this summer, rumour has it that Travis Scott will be making an appearance. The father of two’s private jet reportedly landed on the west coast yesterday, meaning that if we don’t see him perform “MELTDOWN” or “SICKO MODE,” we’ll likely at least see him raging along to Drake’s set in the audience.

“Vancouver it’s T-TIME [tomorrow], don’t you worry,” the Certified Lover Boy artist promised his followers via Instagram. Of course, due to the last-minute rescheduling of the show, some of those who had tickets for Monday won’t be able to make it to Wednesday’s performance. This left them understandably upset, though some of them chose to channel their anger in a less-than-flattering fashion.

In the video below, those waiting outside the latest It’s All a Blur tour stop venue lash out at an employee delivering the sad news to them. “It’s out of our control,” the Rogers Arena staff member reminded the disgruntled group. As HipHopDX reports, the only reason disclosed for the rescheduled event is ongoing issues with the “newly installed scoreboard.”

Miguel Reveals The Aftermath Of His Wild “Viscera Experience”

It has nearly been six years since the release of Miguel’s last album War & Leisure. So many great cuts are on this project and it left fans on a huge cliffhanger for countless months. But, Miguel is finally returning to album form. With the release of two singles this year “Give It To Me” and “Number 9” featuring Lil Yachty, a new full-length is on the horizon. We even have a title for it! Viscera is the name and we cannot wait for it to release.

Both songs possess extremely lush and colorful production, and of course, terrific singing from Miguel. In fact, the R&B sensation recently performed “Number 9” at his “Viscera Experience” as well as three other tracks. The unreleased cut “Rope” was the song he fittingly chose to perform as he was suspended in midair. A hook-like contraption, eerily similar to something you would see in a Saw movie, was attached to his back. Miguel hung up there for around four minutes, showing his commitment to the fans to put on a one-of-a-kind performance.

Of course, after pulling off a stunt like that, Miguel was obligated to share the damage after the show. He posted a picture to his Instagram with his torn-up back. The caption reads, “VISCERA What is your relationship to pain ? What is your relationship to change ?” Ironically, fans in the comments do not seem to be keen on Miguel’s changes, saying things like “You and Doja about to piss me off.” Or, “Please, don’t start w your weird s***. U been doing fineee sir keep it that way…smh.” It is unfortunate to see people reacting like this. However, Miguel’s new album should be what he described his experience as, “boundary-pushing.”

After all, the Canadian superstar has propelled many careers to stardom before, although we’re certain that Yeat doesn’t need the help.

Furthermore, Drake still decided to dedicate as much stage time as he reasonably could to this moment. During his performance of his Honestly, Nevermind cut “Sticky,” he replaced one of the names in his verse with the Oregon MC’s. “Yeat got me on the wave,” the OVO mogul proclaimed to the crowd, and they cheered in response. With all this hype in mind, it’s no wonder that it’s reignited past rumors that they will one day release some material together.

What’s more is that we should be getting something big from both artists soon, or at least that’s what fans hope. On one hand, you have Drake’s upcoming project For All The Dogs, which will surely rank among the most commercially successful and widely discussed albums of the year. On the other, Yeat recently dropped a new single, “bigger then everything,” which sees him reflecting on his meteoric rise in more somber fashion. He already dropped a full-length this year, but there’s no question that there’s always hype for him to keep delivering.

Kendrick Lamar Performs For Enthusiastic Crowd In Japan

It seems like every time this rapper steps out to perform, the results are absolutely electric for fans. Moreover, Kendrick Lamar recently hit up a stage in Japan, and though he was on the other side of the world from his home of Compton, he still captivated the audience. A clip recently went viral of the Mr. Morale MC performing his hit “N95,” and the whole crowd sang along perfectly to the sung intro before he even started rapping. What was once a slew of singing voices turned into a mix of people spitting his bars back at him and people cheering as he started to rap.

Furthermore, when the beat dropped, the stage lit up behind the pgLang creative, and viewers went wild for it. What’s more is that many of them didn’t stop reciting all the lines back to Kendrick Lamar as he went through the track. Sure, that’s something you see at a lot of rap shows, so the excitement on display is nothing new. Still, few artists can get a stadium or festival crowd screaming and rapping as loudly and passionately as the West Coast legend.

Lil Uzi Vert & Bobbi Althoff Link Up At Bktherula Concert: Video

Lil Uzi Vert has been everywhere lately – including with podcaster Bobbi Althoff. As they continue to prepare for their Barter 16 project’s debut, the Philadelphia native has been spending time with friends, both new and old, as well as teasing what they’ve been cooking up in the studio. On Thursday (August 17), LUV teamed up with Mike WiLL Made-It for a new banger called “Blood Moon,” and days before that, the rapper linked up with Young Thug’s sister to turn up to some songs from Barter 16.

Today (August 18), a video of Lil Uzi out at a recent Bktherula concert surfaced online. It’s definitely not surprising to see the “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker supporting his contemporaries, but what did leave some people shocked is Althoff’s presence at the show. “Ily @bktherula but why @liluzivert n @bobbialthoff here [right now]?” the original poster asked in the clip below, which zooms in to show people who resemble the two entertainers.

It’s likely that the Uzi and Bobbi are working on something for her web series, though internet trolls did speculate that the 28-year-old won’t beat the cheating allegations this time. They were referencing the incident at the BET Awards, at which time JT threw her phone at her partner, allegedly because of something he said to, or about Ice Spice. They’ve obviously since kissed and made up, but if trolls start taunting the City Girl about Althoff, she likely won’t be happy.

Jay Rock Joins Red Hot Chili Peppers Onstage At Playground Reopening

Jay Rock recently performed in the neighborhood he grew up in, celebrating the grand opening of a renovated playground. The Watts, California playground was cleaned up and given some brand new equipment, courtesy of the HACLA. It’s located at the Nickerson Garden housing project where Jay Rock lived as a kid. He was also joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, making for quite the show. Though it may appear to be an unlikely pairing, their set sounded great and attendees seem to have loved it. “My 1st Rock concert in my hood with @chilipeppers, how Krazy is that,” Anthony Tiffith wrote alongside footage of the show.

“We got a new playground for the kids and a dope performance from some true legends,” Top Dawg continued. “@jayrock shared the stage with @chilipeppers that was a moment. S/o @flea333 for showing the kids love and supporting the hood since Covid hit.” Both acts put on their own individual performances, also joining forces to perform together. The band accompanied Jay Rock’s performance of “WIN” from 2018’s Redemption. The rapper then went on to sign autographs and take photos with some kids from the area. RHCP frontman Anthony Kiedis also brought several of the children onstage to dance along with the music.
