Devin Haney’s Promoter Is Pushing For Blockbuster Rematch With Ryan Garcia

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia finally faced off this past weekend. The much-anticipated fight was entertaining, but Haney was outclassed. Ryan Garcia beat the WBC title holder by a majority decision. Garcia knocked Haney down three times in the later rounds, showing his dominance and trademark speed. The fight was hyped by Garcia’s outlandish promo that almost overshadowed the fight itself. Garcia was unable to take home Haney’s WBC title because he was officially overweight for the fight.

Fans are excited about the prospect of a rematch between the two fighters. Now, we are hearing rumblings from Haney’s camp that they want a rematch as well. A rematch where the title could actually be up for grabs would draw a lot of attention. Due to how entertaining the fight was, it will be bigger than the first match. Haney’s promoter is letting it be known that they are working on a rematch for their prizefighter. They aren’t taking the defeat lightly and will look to make a statement about whether they get their desired rematch.

Devin Haney’s Promoter Issues Rematch Challenge

Eddie Hearn, Haney’s promoter, hopes the two young talents can square off once again. When asked about a potential rematch, he said, “I hope so.” Hearn is one of boxing’s best promoters and, of course, sees a tremendous opportunity for a hyped rematch. Hearn is not unaware that the ball is in Ryan Garcia’s court. Winning the fight means the pressure is on Garcai to also want a rematch, something he doesn’t have to do. Hearn said, “I think that Ryan’s in a great position. He’s a huge star. He’s going to pick the fights that he likes and he wants.”

Hearn continued saying, “But, [Ryan] did come in overweight. You know, we would like a chance to put it right on an even playing field.” Devin Haney’s title remained with him because of Rayans weight. He concluded, “Ryan was a huge star before. And that win, he’s going to look at the right fights for him for the most money. So, hopefully, it will involve a Devin Haney rematch. But Devin’s still a world champion. And, we’ll see what happens.” Garcia has yet to win a major title in his professional career. If he wants a title, he might have to go up against Devin Haney to get it.

Floyd Mayweather Fires Back At Gervonta Davis

Floyd Mayweather has responded to Gervonta “Tank” Davis after the young boxer’s fiery rant. Davis was responding to a Mayweather Instagram post that threw shots at “young boxers.” Gervonta took these veiled shots as shade towards himself, so he responded as such with his own Instagram response. Davis accused Mayweather of holding money from various boxers to whom he owes money. Additionally, Tank says that he is hiding out in Dubai, so his debtors can’t collect. Now Mayweather has responded to Tank, and this back-and-forth will probably go on for a while.

The rift between Tank and Mayweather began to widen when Tank won the world title in 2017. Their relationship further deteriorated in 2022 when Tank left Mayweather’s fight promotion to go solo. Last year, Tank accused Mayweather of ejecting him from his gym during his preparation for a fight with Ryan Garcia, claiming that Mayweather was trying to hinder his training. Tank’s resentment towards Mayweather is palpable, and he has now stoked the flames of their feud.

Floyd Mayweather Responds To Gervonta Davis With Vicious Comeback

Floyd Mayweather responded by posting a video of Gervonta Davis dancing with a caption overlaid on the video. Mayweather wrote,  “We always knew he had sugar in his tank.” The play on words is a derogatory attack on Tank’s personality. This beef goes back a while and will likely continue for the foreseeable future. It has been over one year since Tank defeated Ryan Garcia in his last fight. Davis is set to take on June 15th in a non-title fight. Gervonta is looking to stay on track, but Floyd is actively trying to shake the fighter up.

Mayweather is also beefing with the father of Devin Haney. After Haney’s defeat at the hands of Ryan Garcia, Floyd Mayweather called Garcia to congratulate him. Haney’s father did not appreciate him calling Garcia and called the boxing legend out for disloyalty. Hopefully, there will be a rematch between Haney and Garcia soon because it seems like it has caused a lot of boxing drama. Overall, Davis and Myweathers beef will probably have more updates soon.

Gervonta Davis Calls Out Floyd Mayweather In Fiery Rant

Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Floyd Mayweather seem to have some new beef between them. In the past, Davis was a sort of protege to Mayweather, with the two having a mentor-mentee relationship. Their relationship started to fracture after Tank started winning titles back in 2017. In 2022, Davis left Mayweather’s fight promotion company, striking out on his own. During Tank’s training for his fight against Ryan Garcia, he alleged that Mayweather kicked him out of his gym. he asserted that Mayweather attempted to keep him from training for the fight effectively. Now Tank has responded to a recent Mayweather video, officially calling the boxing legend out.

This morning, Tank responded to Mayweather with some pointed words. Floyd Mayweather is no stranger to beef. This week, he had a heated argument with Devin Haney’s father. Mayweather came under fire from Haney’s camp after he called and congratulated Ryan Garcia on his win over Devin Haney. Haney’s dad called him out for a lack of loyalty. Gervonta Davis has now called out Floyd and has alleged similar instances of disloyalty that he has shown over the years.

Gervonta Davis Says Floyd Mayweather is a ‘Hater’

In the clip, Gervonta Davis responded to Floyd made a rant about young fighters. Mayweather said, “A lot of times what these fighters are looking at – they’re looking Floyd with the cars, they’re looking at Floyd being flashy.” he continued, “Man, listen, I made so many sacrifices. Y’all are looking at the end results, and [when I was] champion having hundreds of millions in the bank, I still was on my grind in that gym.” Floyd’s comments are pointed directly at some young fighters, and Davis believes the shots were specifically about him.

Gervonta Davis responded by bringing up a rumor that has been circling around about Mayweather. he said in his response, “N***a says all this bulls***, but [he’s] in Dubai and can’t leave because he’s been taking n***as’ money and not doing what they paid him to do. N***a a f***ing hater.” Tank is certain Mayweather is ducking fighters that he owes money to, which is why he has been in Dubai. Overall, the drama in the boxing game is heating up.

Devin Haney lost by majority decision to Ryan Garcia on Saturday night. Haney was knocked down by Garcia three times in the latter rounds. Floyd Mayweather And Bil Haney Exchange Heated Words

The Beef seems to have started after Mayweather called and congratulated Ryan Garcia after his big win against Devin Haney. Bill Haney did not appreciate that, implying that it showed disloyalty to his son. Floyd called Bil Haney to see where all the negative feelings came from. Haney responded to Mayweather, saying, “I been knowing you for hella long but I feel like you a bullshit ass n—a. That’s how I feel like it, me, myself, personally…I feel like you a bullshit ass n—a based on your actions about everybody’s that’s been in the town that’s been down with you. They doing dirtball bad. Ain’t nobody doing real good fuckin’ with you.”

The argument went on for a while after Haney’s response. “You was talking about that sparring shit,” Haney said. “I seen you beat n—as up in sparring…and when my son got down on you…”. To which Floyd responded “Bill, if your son is undefeated in the gym, congratulations!” he then dropped the mic saying,  Congratulations that you got an undefeated fighter in the gym. I’m the under the lights type fighter.” The beef adds another interesting wrinkle in the Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia fight. The rematch will definitely add even more interest as a new feud develops between Mayweather and Bill Haney.

Rick Ross Dares To Clown Mike Tyson Over Old Picture

Rick Ross was among the most recent guests on the Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson podcast, and he took a risk in trying to make a joke about the host’s past appearance. Moreover, when he saw a photo of a young 20-year-old Tyson, he couldn’t help but make a joke about his hairline. “It’s a beautiful picture…How old were you?” The Biggest Boss asked the boxing legend. “That n***a that cut your hair ain’t give you no blend.” This resulted in laughs from the people around them, and Mike cracked a smile and said, “I hear you.” However, Ross cleared the air and said that he loves it, so it’s either some backtracking or some tough love that acknowledges some missteps.

Furthermore, this was a particularly special episode of Hotboxin‘ because it was what many fans probably hoped it wouldn’t be: its last. Furthermore, it seems like Mike Tyson’s convo with Rick Ross puts things at least at a pause as he prepares for his upcoming fight with Jake Paul. A lot of folks are very excited to see how this match-up pans out, whether or not they think that Tyson will be able to beat the YouTube provocateur. We’ll all have to wait until July 20 to find out.

Mike Tyson & Rick Ross Chop It Up On Hotboxin‘: Watch

The haircut joke appears at around the 44:15-minute mark of the video above.

Elsewhere, Rick Ross is very much occupied with a showdown of his own, although this is more about trading bars than blows. He and Drake had a big falling out as a result of all the drama and disses that have emerged from Future and Metro Boomin’s WE [STILL] DON’T TRUST YOU albums. While things probably won’t reemerge on wax for a while, they are two social media trolls who will likely continue to send potshots at each other. Things are a bit more quiet right now, but we’re sure that they won’t stay this way forever.

Meanwhile, Tyson is training hard for his Jake Paul fight, which will be a big moment for pop culture at large. Maybe if Paul launches a jab at his old haircut this time around, he won’t be as forgiving as he was to Rozay. Who do you have coming out on top in either head-to-head? Let us know in the comments and stay posted on HNHH for more on Mike Tyson and Rick Ross.

Ryan Garcia Disses 21 Savage For Walking Out Devin Haney

Ryan Garcia called out 21 Savage on Twitter following his win over Devin Haney in their fight for the WBC Super Lightweight Title. The Atlanta rapper had walked out with Haney for the bout. “This proves 21 ain’t no savage,” Garcia wrote. Despite the win, he was ineligible to take Haney’s title after weighing in at 143.2 pounds Friday for the 140-pound contest.

Regardless of the ineligibility, Garcia was elated after the win. “I don’t give a f— what people say about me. I walked through the fire and still held it down and still beat f—ing Devin Haney and still drink every day,” he said, as noted by ESPN. “Not necessarily am I proud of that, but I’m just saying it was a statement to show you, you guys can’t really f— with me.”

He also complained about the refereeing during the match. “It was a horrible ref,” he added. “[Haney] was holding me for dear life, and I felt an opportunity to keep swinging while my hands were free and I cracked him. And then he took a point away when I cracked him, but [Haney] held me and then I should have knocked him out in that seventh round. They stole that from me. … And Devin was holding and holding and holding. … That was ridiculous. That was crazy. I never seen some s— like that.” Check out his message for 21 Savage below.

Devin Haney Addresses Ryan Garcia Loss

Ryan Garcia seems to have been successful in hyping up his Devin Haney fight last night (Saturday, April 20), because it resulted in a big upset. Garcia beat the WBC junior lightweight title holder by majority decision after 12 rounds at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, knocking him down to the ground thrice throughout. The first was with a left hook to the head in the seventh round, and two more in the tenth and eleventh rounds, respectively. However, Haney still has his title, since his opponent did not make weight before the match-up. Still, it was a pretty exciting match that its losing competitor reflected on via Twitter in the wee hours of Sunday (April 21).

“Alhamdulillah Allah is the perfect planner he makes no mistakes..” Devin Haney expressed on the social media platform. “Fought like a true champion. Got up off the canvas & kept fighting. I am 100% ok & would love to do it again while we both make weight. I have no broken anything btw way like i said im Ok. Same way you dish be able to take it.. I will be back InshaAllah.”

Devin Haney Speaks Out After Losing To Ryan Garcia But Keeping His Title

Of course, this battle followed a lot of antics and social media firestorms mostly caused by Ryan Garcia’s unabashed and often bizarre claims and takes. For example, he recently claimed that Drake slept with Bobbi Althoff, thus causing her divorce and resulting in the odd falling-out that they seemed to have online following their interview, and none of this has been confirmed. As for Devin Haney, he mostly stayed out of these things although he’s no stranger to public scrutiny. Still, when compared to Garcia’s antics and his relentless addresses of any other topic besides boxing, it seems like his composure wasn’t enough to cinch the victory.

Meanwhile, with no lost title here, perhaps the San Francisco native will feel even more pressured to defend it next time, as this loss could have a big impact. Or maybe he will instead have to look elsewhere for inspiration, as we don’t really know how he interprets this loss. Is the technicality comforting or does it add insult to injury? Either way, we’ll see what goes down between these two contentious titans in the near future. For more news on Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney, stick around on HNHH.

Ryan Garcia To Rock Iced-Out Crown For Devin Haney Fight

Ryan Garcia faces off against Devin Haney for the WBC junior welterweight title. Garcia and Haney’s rivalry goes back to when the two fighters were amateurs. So, this title fight has been going on for a long time, especially for Garcia. This will be his first opportunity at an official title in his career, so it’s safe to say this is an important fight. Devin Haney is undefeated in his career. Haney won the belt in his first fight after moving up in weight class, defeating Regis Prograis for the title. The fight going down in the Barclays Center this weekend has all the makings for a good show.

Ryan Garcia has been trying hard to sell this fight. His behavior has been erratic, and many fans are asking if the fighter is even mentally fit to be fighting. Garcia’s antics have definitely brought eyes to the fight, and even through controversy or outlandish statements, the attention is probably what matters most. He has fired shots at Kanye West for refusing to walk him after Garcia’s “No Diddy” tweets. Garcia also made some bold claims about Bobbi Althoff and Drake, which caused even more drama. Now, the social media circus is finally going to hit the ring, and Garcia will be iced out when entering the arena.

The crown will feature 15k VVS-clarity diamonds and 27 sky-blue topaz stones that will match Garcia’s fighting gear. Clearly, Garcia might be winning the ring walk out against Haney. We will have to see what haney has up his sleeve. It’s probably Garcia’s most important fight of his career, and he is putting it all out there.

All in all, Garcia isn’t a stranger to taking risks. He is taking this fight against an undefeated Haney after last year taking on Gervonta “Tank” Davis.
