Saweetie Fires Back At Fan’s Distasteful Colorism Joke

Saweetie clapped back at a fan on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday after they made a joke about her enjoying the impacts of colorism in society. They had written: “I bet Saweetie wakes up every morning, brushes her teeth, looks in the mirror, and thanks God for colorism.” Saweetie didn’t find any humor in the remark and eventually vented about the situation in response. The user has since made their account private.

“Yikes, tasteless humor,” Saweetie wrote back. “Nothing witty or clever about this whatsoever. Matter of fact, joking about a serious psychological battle is never funny. If you don’t agree with my art that’s fine, but don’t identify me with a behavior that condones discrimination. Because I don’t. thanks.” She also reposted a statement from another fan who wrote: “Joking about serious issues like colorism isn’t funny at all. It’s harmful and perpetuates stereotypes.”

BIGBABYGUCCI Is As Confident As Ever On New Single, “You A Joke”: Stream

BIGBABYGUCCI’s come a long way since the Iridesense mixtape back in 2022, and two years later, he’s working hard at reaching that next level in his career. Moreover, he just dropped the new single “You A Joke” following other hot tracks this year like “Balenciaga Store Closed,” and this latest cut continues his woozy production style and entrancing flows and delivery. It’s a very warbled and dizzying cut thanks to heavy tremolo synth effects, frantic percussive patterns, and muddy, fuzzy bass hits.

However, arguably the greatest draw of “You A Joke” is BIGBABYGUCCI himself, maintaining steady mid-tempo flows while switching between nasal vocal inflections and deeper, more cavernous refrains. While he’s no A-tier vocalist, he comes through with a lot of personality on this track, especially towards the end of his verse where he allows his flows to be a bit more malleable and bouncy. In addition, some other melodic synth additions here and there flesh out the sonic pallet a little more.

2024 might just be the year that BIGBABYGUCCI finds his massive stride, and we’ll see whether there’s something long-form to come or if this will be piece-by-piece. If you haven’t heard “You A Joke” yet, check it out on your preferred streaming service or find it on YouTube below. Also down there, you can peep some notable lyrics from the record plus the comments section for you to drop in your thoughts on this new single. Jerrod Carmichael Addresses Controversial “Slave Play” Joke

Jerrod Carmichael’s new HBO series has mostly been a hit among fans since premiering last month. One joke about the comedian and his white boyfriend, however, recently sparked outrage among viewers. “My boyfriend, he makes me smarter, he makes me read. I have so many books. Realistically I’m not gonna read all those books. He knows that. But the fact that I bought them says I love you. They’re little monuments around my apartment just like ‘look at this book from Amazon that I’m never gonna read,’” he said on an episode of the show. “I sometimes joke to him that our relationship is like that of a slave and a master’s son  — who, like, teaches me how to read by candlelight.”

The controversial concept of race-based sexual slave play didn’t sit right with many, prompting Carmichael to receive a great deal of backlash. According to him, however, people are taking things completely out of context. He addressed the public’s reaction to the joke during his recent appearance on The Breakfast Club, clarifying that the joke wasn’t actually about sex at all.

Jerrod Carmichael Says His Joke Was Taken Out Of Context

“It made it seem like I was talking like I’m into some type of race, sexual slavery roleplay with my boyfriend, which is untrue. It’s so false,” he said of the backlash. “It has nothing to do with my boyfriend, it has nothing to do with the sex that we have. It has nothing to do with sex. It’s something people have been reporting on. It’s about my boyfriend reading so much, he makes me feel insecure about my level of reading.”

What do you think of Jerrod Carmichael’s joke about his boyfriend? Do you think he deserves all the backlash he’s receiving online for it, or are viewers overreacting? What about him claiming that the joke was taken out of context? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Jacob Elordi Accused Of Assaulting Radio Producer For Bad Joke

Jacob Elordi recently received assault accusations from a radio producer in Australia, which led to a full-on investigation from New South Wales’ police department. Moreover, according to Variety, this claim comes from producer Joshua Fox, who works on The Kyle & Jackie O Show on KIIS FM. His account, shared on the program’s most recent broadcast, is that he ran into the actor at a Sydney hotel and jokingly asked him for his bathwater to give to colleague Jackie O, a reference to his recent appearance in the film Saltburn that received multiple Golden Globes nominations this year. However, an important element of this story is that Fox filmed him during this, and he requested that he stop and get rid of relevant clips.

“‘I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now, and this is the only evidence,’” Fox seemingly recalled telling Jacob Elordi. “And then Jacob kind of just flips, and he kind of pushes me against the wall, and his hands are on my throat.” This is all speculative and based on accusations at press time, and the police investigation will likely yield more solid results. For now, though, the Euphoria star is in pretty hot water, and we’re waiting on more solid accounts to confirm or deny this.

Furthermore, New South Wales Police issued a statement on the matter of Jacob Elordi. “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” they expressed regarding Olivia Jade Giannulli’s ex. “Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident is continuing.”

Meanwhile, this contrasts heavily with the Brisbane native’s usual demeanor and poise in public appearances. A recent example is his stint on The Kelly Clarkson Show, on which he praised Eminem for teaching him an American accent. Hopefully this situation finds a conclusion in a way that doesn’t push the drama further. For more news on Jacob Elordi and the entertainment world, check back in with HNHH.

Mike Epps Clowns Katt Williams, “Jealously” Jokes About His “Fake” Fendi Jacket

Katt Williams’ recent interview with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay show is still nabbing reactions from all over pop culture. Moreover, one of the most recent figures to react is fellow comedian Mike Epps, who addressed the interview during a recent stand-up set. Specifically, he said that Williams should have worn something different, because he accused his Fendi jacket of being a fake piece. Overall, it seems like it was a pretty funny breakdown, but people really interpreted these jokes as a serious jab. As such, Epps took to social media to speak on the discussion around this reference, and also speak briefly on both of their career trajectories.

“It’s f***ed up, man,” Mike Epps said of Katt Williams’ recent sit-down. “He just should’ve worn something different. That lil’ hat, he had the hat on. And that fake Fendi jacket. That’s my n***a, though, that’s my n***a, that’s my n***a!” “I put all these mfs on and still putting comics on today,” he captioned a picture with Williams shortly after. “None of yall brave enough or care enough to work with him or come around him. Stop making this s**t so bad.

Mike Epps Reacts To Katt Williams Jacket Discussion

“We comedians,” Mike Epps continued concerning Katt Williams. “I put him in a movie when no one wanted to work with him. Some of that s**t he said was true and some of it was not. At the end of the day, we all black men in a business that is not OURS. I cracked on his jacket because that’s what comics do. All this s**t is marketing dummies all the s**t he said and y’all mad at me [crying-laughing emojis] get the f**k outta here we having fun y’all stressing.”

Mike Admits To Making Fun Of Jacket For Engagement

Meanwhile, he admitted that the jacket joke was just out of jealousy for his press. “I did get a little jealous, man,” Epps stated with a smile, cracking up occasionally. “Katt broke the Internet and didn’t say my name, good or bad. I need the press, too, n***a, s**t. Say something about me in there, man! Say something bad about me, I don’t care. I got a special coming out, I need the press!” For more news and the latest updates on Katt Williams and Mike Epps, stay up to date on HNHH.

Sexyy Red Joins The Illuminati, She Jokes That They Have Too Much Money

Sexyy Red already draws up a lot of controversy, so why wouldn’t she get ridiculous Illuminati rumors attached to her, too? But she’s well-aware of how overblown and funny these can be, which explains her recent hilarious Instagram Live session. Moreover, the St. Louis rapper and her friends were leaving a Hollywood party when she chose to go live and say that she sold her soul to everyone’s favorite conspiracy theory. Even her friends chime into the conversation, and it made for a strangely wholesome interaction compared to how bizarre the subject matter is.

“Y’all, they said, ‘Did I sell my soul?‘” Sexyy Red’s remarks on her livestream began. “Should I just tell them the truth?” she laughed. “She sold it for a double cheeseburger with Mac sauce,” one of the 25-year-old’s friends replied, keeping the hysterics going. “With extra onions on it, baby, don’t play,” Sexyy continued. “It’s time for me to just keep it 100 with y’all. Like, yes, they got me in this s**t. I don’t know, I can’t get out of it. I’m getting too much money, I don’t want to get out of it.

“That’s what y’all wanted to hear?” Sexyy Red continued. “Now I’m saying it. They talking about, ‘Stop playing.’ We just left this Hollywood party, baby, this Balenciaga party. I f**k with Balenciaga, I f**k with Lindsey. Lindsey cool, he cool. Nah, what he say? ‘Well, you get your Texas.’ Bring me Balenciaga! Bring me Balenciaga himself,” “Bring me Louis himself,” a friend quipped. “Bring out the Buffalo,” the “SkeeYee” MC continued. “The Buffalo Wild Wings, yep. Yes, I’m with the Illuminati, y’all.”

Meanwhile, with her profile seemingly increasing every week, these accusations and jokes won’t get any easier to dodge. For example, Big Sexyy recently linked up with Kim Kardashian at the very same Balenciaga event that she references in this clip. With that in mind, it’s going to be very exciting to see how much farther she will go in 2024. Given how successful and high-profile this year was, we can only imagine that it’ll be even wilder. 50 Cent References Drake’s Bra-Throwing Fanbase Again

In a new clip, 50 Cent is seen posing for photos with fans at a recent meet and greet. As one fan approaches for their photo op, 50 Cent made a joke about his outfit. The fan was wearing a bulletproof vest in honor of the NYC native. “You see that? Drake get a bra, I get this,” Fif said.

It’s become a trend for fans to throw bras at Drake onstage amid his current “It’s All A Blur” tour, after one audience member went viral for doing so. Since then, attendees have taken it upon themselves to throw the biggest bras they can find at the performer. This wasn’t the first time 50 Cent made a reference to Drake’s bra-throwing fanbase. Last week, the artist went on a bit of a rant about how he no longer gets the same attention from female fans as he used to.

Drake Gets Bras, While 50 Cent Gets Bulletproof Vests

“Somebody help me with my feet please,” he says in the clip. “They don’t treat muthaf**kin’ Drake like this,” Fif continued, “Drake, they throw him bras. What do I get? Aye, could you please go get me some Drake fans? Sh*t just don’t feel right. I need to feel special around here. I need them to treat me like I’m Drake. Drake get bras every night! I used to get bras in the beginning of my career.” The funny video managed to get Drake’s attention, and he may even be able to offer the 48-year-old some words of encouragement.

“FIF LEMME PULL UP FOR A PEP TALK @50cent,” Drake wrote. Though he may not be getting women’s undergarments like he used to, 50 Cent did get another pretty cool gift last week. The Astros gifted the rapper an official world championship ring, which he admits made him “bug out.” “What’s cooler then that H town love?” he wondered. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on 50 Cent and Drake.

50 Cent Reacts To Chris Tucker Joke About Michael Jackson Loving “In Da Club”

Michael Jackson was apparently a big 50 Cent fan, as he even tried to call The Game so they could squash their beef. Moreover, the G-Unit mogul recently found a clip of Chris Tucker joking about the King of Pop’s love for his massive hit, “In Da Club.” Overall, Fif found it quite amusing, especially considering fans who might not have known about the connection between these two. On Sunday (August 20), he took to Instagram to share the clip in question, captioning it with “yo chris is cr*zy, who didn’t like that one LOL.” If you didn’t think that MJ was tapped in with other music during his era, then think again.

“He liked rap,” Chris Tucker said of the musical and cultural icon. “He liked that 50 Cent song ‘In Da Club,’ he liked the beat. So he’d be jamming to the beat. We’d be riding in the car and Michael would just be jamming to the beat. It’s cool until you start saying the words. That’s when it sound cr*zy.” Then, the actor and comedian imitated Michael Jackson singing along to the 2003 banger.

50 Cent Shares Chris Tucker Anecdote About Michael Jackson Blasting “In Da Club”

“[I said] ‘Michael, Michael, no! Don’t sing the words. Please,’” Chris Tucker continued of his 50 Cent fandom. “[He replied] ‘I love that song, Chris! I love that beat. I love it, Chris. That is a cold-blooded beat. Of course I wouldn’t go in the club with a bottle full of ‘bub, Chris. I wouldn’t do that! But I love that song!’ ‘It doesn’t sound right, Mike.’ ‘I know but I love it!’” If anything, this anecdote might make you wonder what other rap hits Michael Jackson was a big fan of. For what it’s worth, they don’t get bigger than “In Da Club.”

Meanwhile, much like the Thriller superstar himself, the New York MC has maintained his status as a legend within music. In fact, during his recent tour stop, he expressed shock and awe at the sight of a nine-year-old fan in the stands. Just goes to show that tracks like “In Da Club” still hold a lot of weight, and a Michael Jackson cosign can’t hurt. Regardless, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on 50 Cent.

Mike Malone Trolls LeBron James With Retirement Joke

Mike Malone became the first coach to lead the Denver Nuggets to an NBA title. Prior to Malone, the Nuggets had only gone as far as the Western Conference Conference Finals. The Nuggets won their first championship on the back of a dominant 4-1 victory over the Miami Heat. Subsequently, the team celebrated with a parade in Denver on June 15. Malone took over as head coach in 2015, immediately turning around an ailing team that hadn’t had a winning season since 2013. He got them above .500 in his second year and back to the playoffs in his fourth. Furthermore, he helped develop Nikola Jokić into a back-to-back MVP.

Malone has been incredibly vocal throughout the playoffs. He lamented the media fixation on the Lakers despite his side sweeping them. Furthermore, he refused to let the Nuggets get complacent despite their NBA Finals dominance. Before the series-clinching Game 5, he told the team to play like they were desperately in need of a win. The treatment paid off, as the Nuggets put on a historic Finals performance to bring the Larry O’Brien to Denver.

Malone Trolls LeBron

However, now his job is done, Malone is ready to be a little more light-hearted. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Malone couldn’t help but troll LeBron James. The moment came after a question about the Lakers’ adjustments in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. “Well, a really good question, and speaking of the Lakers: I just want you guys to know, this is breaking news, I’m thinking about retiring, so don’t tell anybody.” Malone quickly confirmed he was joking and that team owners did not need to start looking for a replacement.

The quip, of course, was a dig at Lakers veteran LeBron James. LeBron publicly floated the idea that he might retire his offseason after the Lakers were swept by the Nuggets. The news sent shockwaves around the NBA for about a week, earning both support and condemnation. However, it appears that LeBron will be returning for at least another season. Despite this, it’s a well-deserved joke for the man who helped take down the Lakers and now sits as an NBA title-winning coach.

Adam Silver Cracks Joke About Ja Morant Gun Incident

On June 8, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made an appearance on The Dan Patrick Show. Unsurprisingly, Ja Morant was a central point of conversation during the interview. It came just days after representatives claimed that the gun Morant was seen with on May 13 was fake. However, Silver was quick to shut down any debate about the authenticity of the gun.

“It’s interesting,” Silver said. “The very issue for Ja, certainly in the first incident, was treating a gun as a toy. That’s what we’re talking about and that’s what I think the danger is to society. Taking a gun, live streaming it without getting into gun issues in terms of the propriety of owning guns and the use of guns. I think everyone agrees that gun safety is critically important and that guns aren’t toys. “It’s something that I’m thinking a lot about because, again, I’m not going to get into specifics about the investigation. But in fact, if you’re live streaming something to the world that looks exactly like a gun and in a frankly reckless manner, should it matter whether or not it’s a real gun?.” However, that’s not all Silver had to say about Morant.

Silver Makes Joke About Morant

Toward the end of the interview, Silver made a not-so-subtle dig at Morant. After Patrick said he was going to get Adam Sandler to do an anti-carrying PSA for the league, Silver commented that it could carry a “double meaning”. If the dig wasn’t clear enough, Patrick tore down the veil completely as he agreed with Silver. “Yeah absolutely, the Ja Morant Anti-Carrying Policy,” Patrick said.

It was something of a surprising comment from the usually reserved NBA Commissioner. However, reactions to his comments were fairly muted on social media. Instead, people were more annoyed that he chose not to reveal Morant’s punishment only to go on a media tour essentially hyping up the punishment. However, with another interview out of the way, it’s just another day closer to actually learning what the NBA has in store for Morant. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.
