Travis Kelce Confirms Taylor Swift Relationship Origin Story

Travis Kelce has corroborated the origin story of his relationship with Taylor Swift that Swift told TIME late last year. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Kelce confirmed that they had been seeing each other for around a month before Swift’s appearance at a Chiefs game in September. However, Kelce also revealed that he had “put the ball in her court” a few days before the game. While he was aware she had already plans to attend, he made things official by explicitly asking her if she would like to attend. “It’s been a crazy, crazy ride I could have never anticipated, man, but I’m having fun with it,” Kelce told the ESPN host.

However, as mentioned, Kelce did not say anything fans didn’t already know. Swift was the first to break the silence on how their relationship began. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell. We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew. Which, I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date,” Swift told TIME.

Is Travis Kelce Attending The Grammys?

Meanwhile, Kelce also used his appearance on McAfee’s show to address speculation as to whether he would be Swift’s date to the Grammys this weekend. “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for. Unfortunately, I’ve got to get ready for this big ol’ Super Bowl we got in a week,” Kelce told McAfee. Swift is up for six awards. This includes “Album of the Year”, an award that Swift could become the first four-time winner of.

However, as Kelce alluded to, he will be unable to attend as the Chiefs prepare to face the 49ers in the Super Bowl on February 11. Conversely, Swift will be unlikely to attend the Super Bowl in Vegas. She is scheduled to perform in Tokyo from February 7 – 10. However, following the game, the couple is expected to reunite. Furthermore, Kelce is expected to join Swift across the Asian and European legs of her Eras Tour.

Jimmy Kimmel was happy to address Aaron Rodgers in a scathing rant on the latest episode of his late-night show, but rather than clapping back, the NFL star’s response makes it sound as though he’s ready to put their feud to rest. In his opening monologue on Monday (January 8), the TV personality gave the audience an ear-full about his nemesis, who he believes is obviously guilty of defamation. Kimmel insinuated that Rodgers was planning on popping bottles if his name came out along with the controversial Jeffrey Epstein documents. The former says he’s never met the embattled financier and dares “Karen Rodgers” to share any incriminating evidence in court.

Though Kimmel also asked for an apology, the quarterback doesn’t seem ready to give it. However, he did have a few words for the host that better clarified his stance on the 56-year-old’s alleged connection to Epstein. “I was referring to the fact that if there’s a list,” Rodgers said on a new episode of The Pat McAfee Show, “and there are names on it, that it’d be the second time a soft-brained, junior college wacko… Whatever other things have been said by him and other people in the media – would be right twice.”

According to the New York Post, Aaron Rodgers is making at least seven figures a year for his weekly segment on Pat McAfee’s ESPN show. Rodgers has made a weekly Monday appearance on McAfee’s show every since he moved to ESPN last month. “Aaron has made over $1,000,000 with us, for sure,” McAfee told the Post via direct message.

Many of Rodgers’ major offseason revelations were made on McAfee’s show, both before and after it moved to ESPN. Trade rumors, the darkness retreat, his aggressive rehab plan. All of those happened on McAfee’s show. Of course, there’s no rule against Rodgers getting paid for media appearances. However, it takes some of the veneer off McAfee’s brand. The former punter had built a reputation as a foul-mouthed frat bro who naturally attracted like-minded individuals to him. While he might still do that for his audiences, it appears his guests need a fat check to hang out with him.

Furthermore, the single-day peak of McAfee’s first month was a live broadcast from Boulder on September 15. That show alone brought in 1.9 million viewers.

“To be rather transparent, I’m not sure any of us had any certainty of how this particular report was gonna be when this all started a month ago. We had hopes that a massive new audience provided by ESPN would give our show a chance and ESPN had hopes of us helping with the transition into the new multi platform generation of daily sports entertainment. One of McAfee’s most regular guests during his first month at ESPN has been sidelined Jets QB Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers gave a fairly shocking interview this week. In it, he reiterated his belief that he could be ready to return to the Jets this season. “There’s nothing normal about how I’m attacking this rehab. The common practice is about six weeks in a boot, and I was in a shoe in 13 days. This is just my mindset. I believe in the power of intention, I believe in prayer. I believe in your mental status and the power of will, I believe in making room for the miraculous to happen,” Rodgers said. Achilles tears, such as the one Rodgers suffers, typically take six to nine months to heal. However, Rodgers believes he can do it in four.

Meanwhile, Rodgers also spoke of meeting Travis Kelce at the recent Chiefs-Jets game. He dubbed Kelce “Mr. Pfizer” due to Kelce’s recent appearance in a series of commercials encouraging people to get the new COVID-19 vaccine. Rodgers is perhaps the face of the anti-vax movement in the NFL. Additionally, he was reprimanded by the league after faking his vaccination status. Pat McAfee Welcomed to ESPN With “First Take” Appearance

Pat McAfee is set to make his ESPN debut on September 7 when The Pat McAfee Show officially moves to the media giant. McAfee’s exit from FanDuel was one of several major talent moves that ESPN orchestrated this summer. A round of talent layoffs followed by a $2 billion betting partnership allowed ESPN to land both McAfee as well as Shannon Sharpe from Fox. Ahead of his debut, McAfee joined Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim on First Take to promote his new show.

The Pat McAfee Show will serve as the new follow-on from First Take during the weekday broadcasts. McAfee said he was “honored” to be following First Take in the schedule. “We’re here to celebrate sports for two hours here on ESPN. And three hours on YouTube and ESPN+,” McAfee explained when asked what fans could expect of the show. Furthermore, McAfee has some history with First Take. Molly Qerim used to co-host a 2am call-time show with McAfee while he was still active in the NFL.

ESPN announced that they had signed McAfee to a multi-year deal back in May. Mike Malone Trolls LeBron James With Retirement Joke

Mike Malone became the first coach to lead the Denver Nuggets to an NBA title. Prior to Malone, the Nuggets had only gone as far as the Western Conference Conference Finals. The Nuggets won their first championship on the back of a dominant 4-1 victory over the Miami Heat. Subsequently, the team celebrated with a parade in Denver on June 15. Malone took over as head coach in 2015, immediately turning around an ailing team that hadn’t had a winning season since 2013. He got them above .500 in his second year and back to the playoffs in his fourth. Furthermore, he helped develop Nikola Jokić into a back-to-back MVP.

Malone has been incredibly vocal throughout the playoffs. He lamented the media fixation on the Lakers despite his side sweeping them. Furthermore, he refused to let the Nuggets get complacent despite their NBA Finals dominance. Before the series-clinching Game 5, he told the team to play like they were desperately in need of a win. The treatment paid off, as the Nuggets put on a historic Finals performance to bring the Larry O’Brien to Denver.

Malone Trolls LeBron

However, now his job is done, Malone is ready to be a little more light-hearted. Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Malone couldn’t help but troll LeBron James. The moment came after a question about the Lakers’ adjustments in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. “Well, a really good question, and speaking of the Lakers: I just want you guys to know, this is breaking news, I’m thinking about retiring, so don’t tell anybody.” Malone quickly confirmed he was joking and that team owners did not need to start looking for a replacement.

The quip, of course, was a dig at Lakers veteran LeBron James. LeBron publicly floated the idea that he might retire his offseason after the Lakers were swept by the Nuggets. The news sent shockwaves around the NBA for about a week, earning both support and condemnation. However, it appears that LeBron will be returning for at least another season. Despite this, it’s a well-deserved joke for the man who helped take down the Lakers and now sits as an NBA title-winning coach.

Pat McAfee is one of the most popular sports pundits currently on the air. Known for his viral reactions and outspoken personality, the former NFL punter has found both success and a major audience. He has worked with a lot of outlets over the years, from Barstool to Fox to ESPN. However, it seemed as though he had found a home on FanDuel. In fact, FanDuel was more than happy to ink a $120 million contract with McAfee to be the exclusive home of The Pat McAfee Show.

However, reports in March appeared to indicate that McAfee was looking to move on from FanDuel before the end of his contract. No reason was given for why he could be moving on from FanDuel. Despite this, multiple outlets reported that McAfee was looking for a new home.

Pat McAfee Reveals Brett Favre Dropped His Lawsuit

Pat McAfee has one of the biggest shows in the entire sports world right now. The former NFL punter has grown his brand a lot over these past few years now, and he remains beloved by fans.
