Kanye West Likens His Battles Against Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian, Kid Cudi, And More To Marvel’s ‘Civil War’

On Saturday, Kanye West shared some news about Kid Cudi in regards to Donda 2. “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who,” he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. “We all speak Billie language now.” Kanye didn’t specify who he was referring to as “you know who,” but all signs pointed to none other than Pete Davidson. If that wasn’t enough, Kanye used a strange meme to essentially declare war on Davidson, Cudi, and others.

The now-deleted Instagram post saw Kanye putting his own spin on the movie poster for Marvel’s 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. Kanye, who assumes the role of Captain America, places the following heads on the opposing superheroes: Pete Davidson, Kim Kardashian, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish, and Taylor Swift. Each person is someone Kanye has issues with, whether it dates back to last week or a decade ago.

As for his own team, Kanye has recruited Julia Fox, Future, Drake, and Travis Scott to help him fight back. Kanye also captioned the picture, “THE INTERNET HAS STILL NOT FOUND A DECENT PICTURE OF SKETE,” which is yet another example of Kanye speaking about Davidson without using his name. The caption also confirms that he did not create the meme.

Drake Is Betting Over $1 Million On The LA Rams And Odell Beckham Jr. In Super Bowl LVI

Drake’s gambling history is sort of infamous at this point, as he’s willing to lay out huge sums on the outcomes of everything from basketball games to roulette spins, getting lucky and losing in more-or-less equal measure. Naturally, with Super Bowl LVI kicking off this Sunday, he’s got a lot of money on the line, posting screenshots of his online wagers to Instagram. In total, he’s got $1.26 million (in Bitcoin, no less) riding on the outcome, split across three bets.

He’s got $472,364 on the Los Angels Rams to win outright over the Cincinnati Bengals, while two prop bets posit his friend, Rams wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., to receive for more than 62.5 receiving yards ($393,636) and score at least one touchdown ($393,636). They’re all relatively safe bets, with payouts of $713,244, $712,457, and $846,288, respectively — the Rams have the hometown advantage, after all, and ODB has been relatively solid all season despite tearing his left ACL during the 2020 season (something Drake can relate to).

However, should he hit on all three, he’s looking at just about doubling his money ($2,271,989), so they aren’t bad bets either. His post explained the rationale behind them with the caption, “All bets are in on the family.” The rapper, like much of the country, will be tuned in with crossed fingers this Sunday.

Kanye West’s Latest ‘Jeen-Yuhs’ Demand Is Apparently For Drake To Narrate It

The Jeen-Yuhs documentary series on Ye (aka Kanye West) is set to premiere on Netflix on February 16. That’s pretty soon, but Ye, who has plenty of experience of working up until and often beyond deadlines, wants to make a last-minute change.

In a now-deleted Instagram post (archived by The Shade Room), Ye shared a screenshot of a text conversation with somebody represented by a “C” icon… perhaps Clarence Simmons Jr. or Chike Ozah, aka Jeen-Yuhs directors Coodie & Chike? In response to a message that reads, “Would love for you to see all 3 movies,” Ye responded, “I need Drake to do the narration.” Ye also captioned the post, “DRAKE WANNA NARRATE THE DOCUMENTARY.” Furthermore, Drake actually liked the post, suggesting that he’d be interested in taking Ye up on that proposal, or at least that he was amused by the post.

It doesn’t seem like this request will be fulfilled. Ye previously requested final edit approval, but Coodie & Chike shot that down considering the documentary was already complete. Coodie also noted, “Me and Chike have a company called Creative Control, because you don’t want to lose your creative control.” Coodie also said of running into Ye, “I asked him, ‘Did he watch the film?’ And he said, ‘I have a process.’ I said, ‘That’s great that you got your process.’ And we just talked as brothers from that point.”

Fred VanVleet Was Congratulated By Drake Courtside After Being Named An All-Star

The NBA announced its reserves for the 2022 All-Star Game on Thursday evening and, while there is always talk of “snubs” and what went wrong with the selections, it is also a time for celebration. For Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet, that was very much the case, as the 27-year-old earned his first selection, earning the nod after a stellar first half of the 2021-22 season. The Raptors were set to take the floor for a home game just as the All-Star picks came down, meaning he had to focus on the task at hand, but that didn’t stop Drake from congratulating VanVleet before tipoff.

Even with fans limited, or even non-existent, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Drake has been present in support of the Raptors, and that continues here. The timing also worked quite well, as the game tipped off just moments after the official announcement, and VanVleet (due to alphabetical order) was the last player named by TNT.

In addition to the franchise’s most prominent fan showing love, the Raptors have unleashed a full-fledged campaign for VanVleet, all the way down to a “Freddie All-Star” moniker on the team’s local broadcast. VanVleet has clearly earned the All-Star nod with his play, though, averaging 21.5 points and 7.0 assists per game with impressive defense and three-point shooting (39.1 percent). It is always fun to see a first-time selection rewarded, and VanVleet received quite the congratulatory welcome here.

Drake Unfollowed Rihanna And ASAP Rocky On Instagram, Which Rick Ross Saw As An Opportunity For A Plug

Rihanna and ASAP Rocky are at the start of a life-changing journey, as it was recently revealed that Rihanna is pregnant with their child. Drake, with whom Rihanna famously has some romantic history, appears to not be too pleased by this development. Some suspect his latest meme-worthy moment is a result of his discontent, and after the news broke, many noticed he unfollowed both Rihanna and Rocky on Instagram.

RapTV posted about the news on Instagram, and Rick Ross hilariously took to the comments to write simply, “@wingstop.” Ross owns over two dozen Wingstop locations and it appears he couldn’t resist inserting the restaurant into a viral moment to draw attention to it and promote the brand. As HipHopDX notes, this comes not long after Ross made a similar comment on a post about Ari Lennox’s label troubles in late January.

It’s not likely that Rihanna is going to lose sleep over having one fewer Instagram follower: As of January 16, her account is No. 27 on the list of most followed accounts on the platform and No. 12 among musicians, currently with 120 million followers. For reference, Drake is right in the same neighborhood on that front, as he’s No. 33 and No. 14 on those lists, respectively.

Drake’s Sourpuss Expression At A Raptors Game Generates His Latest Meme

For better or worse, Drake is a walking, talking meme — and he knows it, which means he often leans in, enjoying the chaos that results from his every facial expression or finicky habit. And because he’s such a huge hoops head, many of his finest moments are generated during NBA games while he’s supporting his precious Toronto Raptors or giving their rivals a friendly haranguing during games.

His latest is no exception. During last night’s game against the Miami Heat, Drake was caught by the TV broadcast’s cameras scrolling through his phone with a sourpuss expression on his face — which, of course, offered the perfect opportunity for speculation on what he was staring at that made him so grumpy. The timing — just a day after Rihanna announced her pregnancy with ASAP Rocky — was especially delicious for Twitter’s jokesters.

Drake notoriously had a huge crush on Rihanna and even dated her for a bit, but unfortunately for him, it seemed the burgeoning mogul preferred a “Rude Boy” after all. After dating Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel for three years, Rihanna appears to have settled into a life of domestic bliss with “Fashion Killa” collaborator ASAP Rocky. The couple announced their baby blessing earlier this week with photos revealing Rihanna’s expanding bump, prompting many fans to tweet, “Someone check on Drake.”

In doing so, fans have found that the results are just about as funny as could be imagined — although plenty of the Drake jokes revolved around other potentially disappointing scenarios, as well. You can check out more Drake memes below.

All The 2022 Super Bowl Music Events That Aren’t The Halftime Show

On February 13, a pretty large football game is happening, and in the middle of it, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige will perform the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show. While those artists are the select few chosen to take the field at SoFi Stadium on the big day, the gravity of the Super Bowl means that there will be plenty of other music events taking place in the Los Angeles area during the weekend. We’ve rounded up the most major examples — which include performances by stars like Jack Harlow, Drake, Miley Cyrus, and many others, so check out the list below.

John Mayer Small Stage Series

Apple Music

This one comes a few days before Super Bowl weekend, but if you happen to live in LA or plan to be in town a few days early on February 8, there’s an opportunity to swing by the Hollywood Palladium and see John Mayer perform some of his Sob Rock songs in front of a live audience for the first time. On top of that, the show is hosted by longtime Mayer pal Andy Cohen and will be preceded by an interview between the two. Even if you can’t check this one out in person, the show will be broadcast on various SiriusXM channels.

Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest

This annual event is perhaps the biggest non-halftime musical attraction of the weekend, or perhaps more so if duration is taken into consideration, as the festival runs for three days from February 10 to 12 at Crypto.com Arena. Halsey and Machine Gun will perform on the first day, and they’ll be followed by Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Mickey Guyton on the second night, then Miley Cyrus and Green Day will headline the third and final night. All in all, those artists make up a diverse roster that will have something to please just about anybody.

Shaq’s Fun House

Shaq’s Fun House has become a Super Bowl weekend tradition in recent years, as Shaquille O’Neal takes the show around the country to wherever the big game ends up being played. This year, it’s going down at LA’s Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall on February 11. The festival/carnival is set to feature performances from Shaq himself (as DJ Diesel), Lil Wayne, Zedd, and Diplo. On top of that, there’s going to be a full carnival, nightlife VIP experience, and a bunch of food vendors. The NBA great has one of the most infectious personalities in pop culture, so his Fun House is sure to be a terrific time.

MaximBet Music At The Market and DirecTC Presents Maxim Electric Nights

DirecTV and Maxim are working together on a pair of events for the big weekend, both at City Market in Downtown Los Angeles. The first is MaximBet Music At The Market on February 11, which will feature Lil Baby, Gunna, and The Chainsmokers. The next day, they’re offering DirecTV Presents Maxim Electric Nights, a 50 Cent-hosted event that will feature Tiësto, Loud Luxury, and DJ Vice. All of this is going down in “a custom-built 45,000 square foot open-air pavilion representative of a 1980’s retro-futuristic setting.”

While Drake isn’t part of the hip-hop-heavy halftime show (as far as we know, anyway), he will be making an appearance at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood on February 12. If you can get into this event, it’s bound to be a good one. That said, good luck with that, as it’s an invite-only affair.

Sports Illustrated The Party x Palm Tree Crew

If you’re looking for a party featuring premiere hip-hop talent that you can actually attend, Sports Illustrated and Palm Tree Crew are bringing a nice lineup to Century Park on February 12. Performing at their event will be a good mix of talent that includes Kygo, Jack Harlow, Frank Walker, David Solomon (yes, the Goldman Sachs CEO/DJ), and DJ Irie.
