Not only are Busta Rhymes, Jeremih, and members of G-Unit on the bill, but he’s done a great job of bringing out special guests for these shows. Moreover, he invited the D’s own Peezy to perform onstage, which riled up the crowd amid an already magnanimous concert. With these shoutouts and surprise performances, it’s no wonder that Fif’s tour is the talk of the town these days.
Furthermore, Peezy specifically performed at least a couple of his songs from what footage of 50 Cent’s show indicates. What’s more is that the “Fashion Week” MC got a lot of love back from fans, as recordings show that there were a lot of people rapping along to every word in his verses. Overall, it’s great to see that the entertainment giant is also catering to each city he performs at in a special way. Not only that, but Detroit got pretty much the most fitting guest performance possible on top of P’s appearance.

First, they went through their Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ cut “Patiently Waiting,” and then moved on to the Relapse track “Crack A Bottle.” Their bond and the fact that they stood in Slim Shady’s home city meant they couldn’t ignore this chance.

“They say I’m from Toronto, Canada, but we might have to check the hospital records,” Drake remarked to the thousands of cheering fans. “‘Cause y’all show me too much love in the H-Town, I love y’all for real. I got my album coming out for y’all October 6. I know I pushed it back, but it’s for good reason. ‘Cause I’m trying to represent for the H-Town like I always do. Another classic on the way.”
Of course, even with no new information being revealed here, this is still enough to hype fans up even more for For All The Dogs. What’s more is that this was the 36-year-old’s second show in Houston, the first of which welcomed special guest Johnny Manziel. The Texas-born quarterback had the whole crowd going wild, and it’s one of many examples of Drake acknowledging his strong bond with the city. If not that, then he’s paying Bun B a visit to his Trill Burgers restaurant in H-Town, always giving one of his mentors his flowers.

Eminem performed as a surprise guest during 50 Cent’s Detroit stop on the Final Lap Tour, over the weekend. In doing so, he labeled 50 one of his “best friends” while also calling attention to the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.
After performing their Get Rich or Die Tryin’ collaboration, “Patiently Waiting,” the two jumped ahead to their Relapse hit, “Crack a Bottle,” from 2009. “Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends that I’ve ever known, 50 Cent!” Eminem said afterward. “And also, make some noise for Hip Hop’s 50th birthday, y’all … Detroit, I love y’all, man.”

50 Cent and Eminem have worked together countless times over the years, including during the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2022. As he prepares to focus more on TV and film following the Final Lap Tour, 50 Cent recently confirmed that he has an 8 Mile series about Eminem in the works. “This shit is expected to be just as big as the feature film, just huge. It’ll be huge,” he told Men’s Health, earlier this year. “The interest in it is because the time period that 8 Mile was capturing further back, so as we move it into modern times you’ll see things about how we function now, how technology changed the way people enter the music business.”
Busta Rhymes has left fans on social media uncomfortable with his NSFW dance moves. In a video circulating on social media, the legendary rapper dangles a microphone in front of his groin while performing on 50 Cent’s Final Lap Tour.
When the clip made its way to social media, fans were not impressed by the moves. “N****s wait till they 70 to do freak shit at concerts. Should of did that 45 years ago buddy,” one fan comments on Instagram. Another joked: “Busta rhymes is tryna busta nut and I must say, I’m mortified.” One more user commented: “Who got one of them little mind deleters from Men in Black. I need these visuals deleted from my mind ASAP.”

When 50 Cent announced the Final Lap Tour, earlier this year, he described Busta as his “special guest and longtime friend.” Jeremih has also been performing on the North American dates of the tour. Busta’s appearance comes amid a big year for his career. Back in June, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2023 BET Awards. While speaking on stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, he reflected on his career and life as a whole, getting emotional in the process. “It’s just me trying to do my duty to continue to advance the culture and continue to contribute in a significant way. I see so many people in here that I have known and grown with for a long time, you’re watching me grow and I love y’all and I know y’all love me,” he said at the time.
Busta will continue performing alongside 50 Cent on the Final Lap Tour over the next several months. They’ll begin performing overseason, later this month, with a show in Amsterdam on September 28.
Lil Baby’s Memphis concert resulted in a shocking and dangerous night as shots rang out while he performed with Rylo Rodriguez. Moreover, police are still investigating the incident that resulted in one man sustaining injuries, though fortunately no one else was struck. Similarly fortunate news is that the victim in question is seemingly all healed up now, as he posted a video of him getting ready for the day listening to music. Furthermore, with bandages on his body and a positive attitude, it seems like he fully recovered from what could’ve been a tragic occurrence.
If you’re curious as to who the victim is, who the perpetrator is, and why this all happened, Memphis PD are still looking into it. However, reports indicate that the man who got shot at the Lil Baby concert is Young Dolph’s cousin, CEO Jizzle. Authorities are still searching for the shooter, and investigating how they entered a firearm into the FedEx Forum arena. As such, it’s still a murky case. With time and effort, though, hopefully they can crack down on this for future concerts, both on the tour and at this venue.
Here’s what some of the artists billed to perform had to say about this incident. “Memphis is ghetto as f**k,” GloRillawrote on social media shortly after the shooting. “We been on this tour this whole f***ing time and today they want to f***ing shoot. It ain’t been a shootout at not a one of these shows… Man, this some ghetto s**t. It ain’t even funny, for real.” Meanwhile, Lil Baby didn’t directly address the shooting, but did issue a statement. Also, he cited “unforeseen circumstances” and announced that he canceled his following show in Kentucky as well.
“Unfortunately I couldn’t perform last night in Memphis,” the 4PF leader wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Ima make sure everybody gets a refund tho.” As unfortunate, scary, and potentially tragic as this situation is, at least the injured person is back on his feet. The rising rapper took the stage on Sept. 9 at The Armory Track in New York City as part of a fashion week event, and had the crowd going crazy for her performance. An unexpected twist happened where Lola Brooke fell off the stage during her performance, however she got right back up. The moment showcased Lola’s resilience and professionalism, as she continued to perform and even made light of the moment with the audience.
Caught on camera, Lola can be seen confidently walking towards the crowd. It was then that she misstepped and teetered of the side of the stage. Megan Thee Stallion has reportedly dropped out of headlining the 2023 Global Citizen Festival, just eleven days before the event. According to a statement from the festival, as reported by Billboard, she is no longer able to make it “due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict.” She was originally slated to be one of the festival’s headliners, alongside Ms. Lauryn Hill and Red Hot Chili Peppers. It is currently uncertain if a replacement act will be secured. The festival is scheduled to be held at the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park on Saturday, September 23rd.

The Global Citizen Festival is set to take place in New York City’s Central Park. The festival’s primary goal is to take immediate action to combat extreme poverty. They are advocating for world leaders to address not only this issue but also the climate crisis and gender equity for women and girls. The timing of the concert and its initiatives aligns with a September gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Gunna went out of his way to show love to Young Thug during his first show since being released from jail last year. Performing at the Barclay Center in New York, Gunna opened the show with a large “Free Jeffery” sign lit up. Young Thug’s legal name is Jeffrey Williams Jr. While Gunna released his first post-jail album, A Gift & a Curse, earlier this year, he hadn’t yet performed live. While many fans were over the moon to see Gunna return to the stage, not everyone was happy. Gunna is still carrying a lot of stigma over the plea deal he took in the YSL RICO case. Gunna’s December 2022 jail release came after he took a plea deal and acknowledged that YSL was a criminal gang. Furthermore, Gunna’s sentence would be completely terminated after completing community service. This has led many to label Gunna a rat and a coward. These people believe that he sold out Thug and the other members of YSL.
While Gunna is free and performing, his YSL peers are looking at a much bleaker future. After YSL Polo was convicted of shooting a man on camera, prosecutors in Georgia successfully lobbied for the resumption of the larger YSL trial. Thug and seven other defendants are facing a litany of charges relating to the group’s operations in Atlanta. However, it has been a long and tortured process. Despite the trial starting in January, jury selection is currently ongoing. It is unclear when the trial proper will actually begin. Meanwhile, things were complicated further when Fulton County also indicted Donald Trump and over a dozen associates on charges relating to his interference in the 2020 election.
Despite renewed pleas for Thug to receive bond, the YSL leader and many of his peers remain behind bars in Georgia. The trial is set to resume as soon as October. However, many legal experts expect that it could last another six to eight months. Despite this, that could be further delayed based on what happens with the Trump case, which is also ongoing but not yet at the trial stage. Burning Man is a festival that die-hard fans look forward to annually due to its unique nature and unconventional theme. Held in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert, the festival is not for the faint of heart. However, this year’s event took on a new sense of chaos due to severe weather. Between torrential rain, flooding, and overall unbearable conditions, the usual Burning Man adventure became a huge misadventure. As the desert debacle unfolded, one person reportedly died, and thousands were stranded. While the situation has improved, many are still trying to make their way home. Here’s everything we know about what has happened at Burning Man so far.
Burning Man Beginnings

According to the Burning Man website, the event started as a bonfire attended by a few friends in the early 1980s and became an official event in 1986. Ultimately, it became a week-long camping excursion in the Black Rock Desert, with a makeshift city erected every year named Black Rock City to honor the festival. Organizers emphasized inclusion, self-reliance, and building community. Festivalgoers often camp in tents or RVs and are encouraged to bring all needed supplies with them. Throughout the festival, attendees participate in forms of self-expression and enjoy art and music. The festival ends with the burning of a huge wooden effigy known as The Man.
This year’s Burning Man started on August 27 and ended on Labor Day, September 4, with around 72,000 people in attendance. Performances by DJ Diplo, various other DJs and musicians, and artwork by numerous artists entertained festivalgoers. While social media showed thousands of people getting lit throughout the festival, things soon took a turn for the worse.
Bad Weather At Burning Man
Unfortunately, Burning Man 2023 was hit hard and fast by unexpectedly bad weather. CNN reported that the area received almost one inch of rain between Friday and Saturday morning, equal to two or three months of rain. As a result, massive flooding took place, which turned the desert into a muddy, mucky mess. Consequently, roads weren’t passable for vehicles to get in and out of the city. On top of that, howling winds reached up to 40 mph, further making the situation dire.
Due to the weather, Burning Man organizers closed all roads in the area on Friday night. By Saturday, organizers issued shelter-in-place orders to keep festivalgoers safe. Because of this, attendees had to conserve food, water, fuel, and other supplies. The bad weather continued into Sunday, making the roads even worse.

If bad weather and sheltering in place with thousands of strangers weren’t bad enough, things got even worse. Since nobody could come in and out of the camps, the mobile restrooms couldn’t be emptied or cleaned. In a since-deleted Instagram story that’s gone around social media, Chris Rock, who was in attendance, spoke on the situation. “From what I understand, because of the flooding, the port-o-potties reportedly can’t be emptied.” Maybe that’s why Burning Man organizers encourage people to bring their own “poop buckets.”
In addition to the ongoing chaos, reports surfaced of a death at the festival. According to SFGATE, 32-year-old Leon Reece passed away on Friday night. The sheriff’s office received a report that Reece was unresponsive, and medics performed CPR. However, it was too late, and he was pronounced dead. While authorities are saying it doesn’t appear that Reece’s death was weather-related, a cause is pending until the autopsy results come in.
Since the roads were impassable, everybody in attendance was stuck at the campground. Organizers warned attendees not to attempt to leave because it could be dangerous with foot-deep mud. Only emergency vehicles were permitted in and out for a while, but even they had a tough time in the muddy conditions. Campers and RVs that attempted to drive out were stuck with no way to free them. Further, not only could vehicles not maneuver, but concertgoers were advised not to try to walk. However, everybody didn’t listen to the advice, including a couple of famous folks.

Apparently, Chris Rock and Diplo had enough of Burning Man and decided to dip. The two went against advice and walked about five miles through the deep, alkaline mud. Diplo wrote on social media, “I legit walked the side of the road for hours with my thumb out.” A fan picked the two up, and they rode in the back of a pickup truck. Moreover, Chris and Diplo weren’t the only ones who wanted out. There were numerous reports of people taking their chances walking and hitchhiking. Sometimes, you just have to depend on the kindness of strangers.

Conditions improved by Monday, September 4, and people could finally get out. Organizers posted on the Burning Man website, “As of 2:00pm, Exodus operations have officially begun in Black Rock City. The driving ban has been lifted.” However, according to the Burning Man X account, there were wait times of more than seven hours to exit.
Due to the weather and chaos, the traditional burning of the effigy took place Monday night instead of Sunday and was still viewed by thousands. The mass exodus began on Tuesday, with most festivalgoers leaving the Black Rock Desert behind. Right now, there are miles and miles of vehicles with reported wait times of around two hours. At this point, everybody is probably just thankful to get out of the desert in one piece.
Beyonce surprised fans in Los Angeles on Monday night by bringing out Kendrick Lamar for her Renaissance World Tour concert. In doing so, the two performed their latest collaboration, a remix of “America Has a Problem,” for the first time live. The show was the last of three concerts at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Unfortunately for fans in attendance, the moment didn’t come without its technical difficulties. According to fans on social media, Lamar’s mic was cutting out during the performance. The Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers rapper wasn’t the only guest to appear during the show. Diana Ross also serenaded Beyonce in celebration of her birthday earlier in the night.

Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar have collaborated numerous times over the years. They worked with one another on “Freedom” off of Beyonce’s Lemonade album in 2016, as well as “NILE” from The Lion King soundtrack in 2019. Speaking with Rolling Stone in 2017, Lamar reflected on collaborating with the legendary singer. “How particular to be about your music,” he said. “She’s a perfectionist. Think about the BET performance. She was very particular — the lighting, the camera blocking, the transition from the music to the dancing. It was confirmation of something I already knew.”
Beyonce’s Renaissance World Tour recently became the highest-grossing tour by a female musician ever, earning over $450 million. The previous record-holder was Madonna with her Sticky & Sweet Tour in 2008. Beyonce will be performing in Vancouver, Seattle, Arlington, Houston, New Orleans, and more over the next month before wrapping up the tour in Kansas City on October 1.
