Peezy Cosigns Trump Sneakers, Disses Joe Biden In The Process

Peezy is the latest rapper to endorse Donald Trump after seeing his new, gold, U.S flag-donning, $400 sneakers. Moreover, he took to social media to share his desire to cop a pair and his support of No. 45, while dissing current president Joe Biden and his VP Kamala Harris. “I’m tying to find my n***a Donald Trump’s gym shoes, man,” the Detroit rapper shared in a new clip. “The Trump 1s, man. If anybody got them b***hes in 13, call me. F**k Joe Biden, I’m rocking with Trump. F**k Kamala Harris, I rock with Trump. Free Trump! Free Big Slime! If you got the motherf***ing gold 1s, call me! I want them right now!”

Furthermore, this is what Fox News’ Raymond Arroyo said about the shoes and about how he thinks folks will react. “This is connecting with Black America because they love sneakers. This is a big deal, certainly in the inner city. So when you have Trump roll out his sneaker line, they’re like, ‘Wait a minute, this is cool.’ He’s reaching them on a level that defies and is above politics.” Needless to say, Peezy is the exception and not the rule, because Arroyo got absolutely cooked for this take.

Peezy Endorses Trump & Slams Biden

In fact, you may recall another curious rap crossover that happened concerning these new Trump sneakers. Kanye West apparently shared a clip of the shoes’ reveal on Instagram with the caption along the lines of “This made me smile.” That’s because the clip in question made it seem like the indicted former president played Ye’s song “CARNIVAL” over the reveal. It’s unclear whether he edited this himself or he fell for someone else’s trolling, but it definitely wasn’t the song that the 77-year-old played.

Meanwhile, another recent endorsement of the Republican candidate came from none other than Snoop Dogg, who had dissed him before. Actually, this comment almost prevented Snoop’s Death Row affiliate Harry-O from receiving his presidential pardon. We’ll see what other rappers decide to give in and wear their ugliest red hat for this surely chaotic upcoming election. On that note, stick around on HNHH for more news on Trump and the latest updates on Peezy.

Who Is Peezy? Meet The ‘2 Million Up’ Rapper

The Michigan area has been producing a profusion of fan-favorite street rappers over the past few years, earning a reputation as a hotbed of underground talent. The Midwestern scene has so far been self-sustaining; rather than worry about external validation or chart hits, rappers like Babyface Ray, Icewear Vezzo, Skilla Baby, and Veeze, among others, have been creating solely for the approval of their immediate peers and the streets adjacent to their Great Lake.

However, despite their idiosyncratic, aloof approach, they’ve been garnering more attention than ever, courtesy of an enthusiastic online support base. One such artist these social media-centric fans have latched onto is Peezy, a Detroit rapper whose laconic delivery is belied by a gift for slick wordplay and smirk-inducing, streetwise observations.

His breakout track, “2 Million Up,” is built over a sample of Dennis Edwards’ “Don’t Look Any Further” — the same song employed as the bassline from Eric B. & Rakim’s seminal 1987 hip-hop classic “Paid In Full” — which infuses a propulsive, motivational vibe to the song, anchored by Peezy’s blurred, almost disinterested flow. Content-wise, the track describes Michigan’s signature subjects — drug deals, shootouts, and styling on haters — with Peezy’s trademark gift for subtly hilarious boasts and threats. “Know them youngins mean business when they in that rental truck,” he cracks, “They gon’ spin ’til they dizzy or the police pick ’em up.”

At 47 million YouTube views and counting, “2 Million Up” is just one of Peezy’s standout singles, which include “No Amiris” with Key Glock, “Fashion Week” with Larry June and Money Man, “Psilocybin” with fellow Detroiter BabyTron, and most recently, “In The Hills.” Each of the above-mentioned tracks hails from Peezy’s newly released album Ghetto, which dropped on October 10 via EMPIRE.

Peezy Enlists Ty Dolla $ign, Larry June, BabyTron, And More For New Album “GHETTO”

Peezy’s strong year continues with the release of his brand new album, GHETTO. It is the Detroit MC’s 22nd (!) project to date, showing how quick and hard-working he is to get material out to his fans. This fast turnaround is nothing new for Peezy, considering he dropped five tapes in 2017. For 2023, the rapper already has two other LPs out now.

The first of them was a collaborative effort with Baltimore rapper Yg Teck on February 17. That was a 15-track album. The second was a shorter effort, standing at just eight cuts. Interestingly though, it is also called GHETTO, which was put out on April 21. This newer GHETTO is more of a full-fleshed-out set of songs. None of them from the one back in April appear in this October edition.

50 Cent Invites Peezy As Detroit’s Special Guest At Concert

50 Cent is far from the only big star that fans get the chance to see on his ongoing tour, The Final Lap. Not only are Busta Rhymes, Jeremih, and members of G-Unit on the bill, but he’s done a great job of bringing out special guests for these shows. Considering his strong bond with Detroit, it’s no surprise that the Queens native went all-out to show the city a good time. Moreover, he invited the D’s own Peezy to perform onstage, which riled up the crowd amid an already magnanimous concert. With these shoutouts and surprise performances, it’s no wonder that Fif’s tour is the talk of the town these days.

Furthermore, Peezy specifically performed at least a couple of his songs from what footage of 50 Cent’s show indicates. What’s more is that the “Fashion Week” MC got a lot of love back from fans, as recordings show that there were a lot of people rapping along to every word in his verses. Overall, it’s great to see that the entertainment giant is also catering to each city he performs at in a special way. Not only that, but Detroit got pretty much the most fitting guest performance possible on top of P’s appearance.

None other than Eminem graced the stage alongside the 48-year-old at the Sunday show (September 17). The two go way back, as Marshall Mathers is one of the many reasons that 50 Cent is a rap icon. First, they went through their Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ cut “Patiently Waiting,” and then moved on to the Relapse track “Crack A Bottle.” Their bond and the fact that they stood in Slim Shady’s home city meant they couldn’t ignore this chance.

“Detroit, make some noise for one of the best friends that I’ve ever known, 50 Cent!” Em told the crowd. “And also, make some noise for hip-hop’s 50th birthday, y’all. Detroit, I love y’all, man.” “Bro when I do anything with EM people just go cr*zy they know he really my boy,” his close collaborator wrote on Instagram with a clip of their performance. “I love him till death!” With that in mind, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on 50 Cent and Peezy.

Peezy Heads To “Fashion Week” With Money Man And Larry June

With Fashion Week season in full swing right now across the globe, what better way to commemorate it than with a lavish rap single. Well, that is exactly what Peezy has done with his latest track with Money Man and Larry June. All three artists are specialists when it comes to rapping about money and expensive clothing. “Fashion Week” is also the first time these three have been on the mic together.

However, these artists are not strangers to each other, though. Larry June and Money Man have a collaboration on the song “Intercepted.” Peezy and Money Man have a bit more familiarity with one another. They have quite a few tracks together such as, “Latest Gen,” and “Ali Baba.”

“Fashion Week” runs about almost four minutes long and features production from Zara Aldemir and Yvksel3580. The beat samples some soulful vocals with trap inspiration. What is also cool about this song is the cover art for it. It looks to be painted with all three rappers sitting front row at one of the fashion shows.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new track, “Fashion Week,” from Peezy, Money Man, and Larry June? Is this trio one you want to hear from again? Who had the best performance on the song? Peezy And Key Glock Come Through With “No Amiris”

Key Glock and Peezy are an unfamiliar combination but they complement each other perfectly on this new track. Detroit and Memphis collide for straight heat on “No Amiris,” a song about having the money and being the man of the city, which fits right into these artists’ wheelhouses. CHASETHEMONEY is responsible for the hard-hitting production here. He has worked with the likes of IDK, Yeat, Ski Mask the Slump God, and more.

The beat is sinister with twinkling but creepy piano keys and rattling hi-hats. Both provide aggressive and entertaining lyrics to couple with the beat’s tone. Overall, Peezy and Key Glock have solid chemistry on the track and fans seem to be loving what they are hearing so far. They also put out a music video for “No Amiris.”

Peezy Drops The Music Video

The visuals pair with the themes and the lyrics from Glock and Peezy. The video features both rappers flexing their expensive diamond-covered jewelry and their Rolls-Royce car. In addition, the black-and-white color scheme adds a dark element to the cavernous vibe of the song. Fans are showing tons of praise for the collaboration. One says, “The collab i never knew i wanted they both killed it.” Another goes, “This song hard . already a classic .. hope they made a album together or ep.” Well, what do you think, should Peezy And Key Glock make a joint project?

Jim Jones Is “2 Million Up” On His New Freestyle

Jim Jones is back in action with a brand new freestyle.

The Dipset rapper slid through on Jan. 10th with his latest offering, “2 Million Up.” The short offering marks his first release of the year and he’s evidently aiming to kick things off on a high note. This time, he takes on Peezy’s “2 Million Up” single and puts his own spin on it. Jim Jones’s storytelling abilities takes center stage as his undeniably smooth flow glides the instrumental. He details his come-up in Harlem and the chaotic lifestyle he led up while reflecting on the value of loyalty.

Jim Jones has his foot on the gas after another eventful year in 2022. He kicked the year off with the release of We Set The Trends and later, dished out his new holiday-themed project, Jim Jones Presents: 12 Days Of Christmas. His latest project indicates that he has even more music in the stash that he’s preparing to unleash in 2023.

The rapper dropped off “GUNSHOTS” ft. BEAM in October. The song marked the first single from his joint project with Hitmaka, Status Update, which is due out later this year. So far, he hasn’t unveiled a release date but hopefully, it comes soon.

Allblack And Mozzy Trade ‘War Stories’ In Their Grizzled New Video

In Allblack‘s new video for “War Stories,” he and Mozzy keep DMX’s legacy of hyperviolent but secretly super sad lyricism alive, detailing both the bloody shootouts that peppered their lives with tragedy and the deep mental scars such trauma can bring in its aftermath. “Sometimes I wish I wasn’t loved so much, I’d die today,” Allblack mulls. “Next birthday, I’ma put a bomb inside my cake.” The sentiment is similar to X’s verse on Mase’s “24 Hours To Live,” in which X seemingly decides that 24 hours is just too long and he’s going out with a bang.

Meanwhile, Mozzy’s verse is less depressed but no less grim. “The homies popped the homie, I tried to tell him he wrong,” he remembers. “He don’t care though, all black Forces you know we wear those.” Detroit rapper Peezy brings up the anchor verse, coming a bit more boastfully but with an anxious undercurrent amid the triumphant tone. “Used to sell raw, cook crack up in the kitchen sink,” he muses. “Now I gotta wake up early for a business meetin’.” At least the story has a happy ending.

“War Stories” is the latest single from Allblack’s recently released album TY4FWM, which finds the Bay Area fixture rapping with fellow NorCal rhymers E-40, G-Eazy, Guapdad 4000, and Rexx Life Raj, as well as more Detroiters such as Sada Baby and even Long Beach’s Vince Staples. You can listen to that here.
