Cardi B 2018 Assault Case: Alleged Victim Says Femcee’s “Celebrity Status” Cost Her A Job

Cardi B is a proud mother of two beautiful children, Kulture and Wave, who she’ll do anything to protect. Her maternal instinct kicked in before her oldest was born, as you may recall from a messy incident that stems back to 2018. At the time, the rising rap diva was leaving a doctor’s appointment when a security guard named Emani Ellis spotted Cardi and allegedly began recording her. Only a few months pregnant at the time, the East Coast icon was feeling particularly vulnerable. Ellis claims that she “struck her head, face, and body,” using her “long fingernails” to cause “facial injuries” that required cosmetic surgery.

“[Cardi] was the aggressor and attacked [Ellis] while she was employed as a security guard. Defendant was not injured in this incident,” a newly filed motion obtained by Radar Online says. “Defendant’s intention was to cause injuries to Plaintiff so she could not return to work. Defendant even used her celebrity status to get Plaintiff fired from her post as a security guard.”

“Defendant by threats, coercion, intimidation, physical force including assault & battery, prevented Plaintiff from returning to work as a security guard, which was something she had a right to do under the law,” the new documents continue. At the time (February 2018), Cardi hadn’t told her millions of followers about her pregnancy. As a result, she was clearly on high alert about protecting her family’s privacy. She and Ellis will be heading to court for trial on May 31, according to the outlet.

Rather than brushing off the bad vibes, the “WAP” artist is speaking out online ahead of her court date. “She was a security recording me while I was going to my OBGYN while I was four months pregnant,” Cardi B wrote on @thejasminebrand’s post about the situation. “Got her own self fired, and yet in America the celeb gets sued,” she vented. Darius Jackson Seemingly Accuses Keke Palmer Of Playing “Victim” In New Tweet

Last year, Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson went their separate ways, and the Chicago-born artist went on to accuse the father of her child of abuse. She filed a lawsuit against Jackson at the end of November, also requesting full custody of their son, Leodis. As the mother of one did her best to readjust back to normal amid the debacle, Jackson turned the tables on her, making some allegations of his own. He accused Palmer of physical and emotional abuse, even requesting a restraining order against her ahead of the new year.

These days, Palmer appears to be living her best life despite the messy situation, recently revealing that she’s “never been so happy.” As for Jackson, he continues to make what appear to be vague references to their drama online. Most recently, he shared a Tweet calling out those who “play victim,” seemingly alluding to his ex.

Darius Jackson Shares More Telling Tweets

“You can’t progress w/ someone who always play victim or think they have an unfair advantage. They won’t be able to see the progress & blessings that are right in front of them,” he wrote today (January 5). “They hate what they can’t control,” he says in a subsequent Tweet, “And what they can’t control is you.” In another, he says “It’s hard to keep up w/ a lie. Especially when truth is knocking on your door.”

This is far from the first time Jackson seemingly shaded Palmer online, however. Last week, he liked a concerning Tweet about men “tolerating nonsense” from their “wh*re girlfriends.” Palmer appeared to respond to the like on her own page, sending a warning to fans. “Beware those who blame other [people] for why they aren’t who they should be,” she wrote. “You’ll become the next scapegoat!” What do you think of Darius Jackson’s recent Tweets? Do you think he’s shading his ex, Keke Palmer? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

YNW Melly: Alleged Victim’s Father Blasts Witness Tampering, Home Raid Notes Revealed

The YNW Melly case is the cause of much discussion and speculation online, especially now ahead of its retrial. Moreover, the father of one of his alleged victims (YNW Juvy), Christopher Thomas Sr., recently joined Law & Crime‘s Sidebar podcast. Specifically, he blasted the Florida rapper’s new witness tampering charges, as he stands accused of persuading his ex-girlfriend Mariah Hamilton and her mom Felicia Holmes to conceal information about the alleged double murder. Not only that, but some alleged footage came out of what police discovered during a raid on codefendant YNW Bortlen’s house. All in all, things are getting complicated very fast.

“They going through extreme measures to try to cover up or convince people not to testify like Mariah and Mariah’s mom,” Thomas alleged regarding the YNW Melly case. “They was using code words like Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s baby mom. To me, when I looked at the text messages, I mean Instagram messages, with Bortlen and she said like, ‘You will never- good will never come to somebody because you snake somebody that never did anything to you,’ my mind instantly went to Chris. Like she talking about Juvy ‘cause he didn’t in that situation. I ain’t saying he was an angel, but he didn’t snake Melly. Melly took Chris out.

“And for them to even go through this process, I’m thinking they don’t care nothing about my son,” the father’s accusations about these YNW Melly charges went on. “They don’t care nothing about Chris. I’m like dang, man. Felicia Holmes and Mariah Hamilton, to sit there and be on your own channel and talking about Juvy and Sak were like brothers to her and then do that to them, that’s an insult. It’s just cr*zy.

“There’s a lot of evidence that’s not going to be allowed in,” he concluded. “But everybody in the world know who it points to. But the people that’s lying and covering up, they need to do something about them people too. In my book, they just as guilty.” For more news and the latest updates on the YNW Melly double murder case, come back to HNHH.

Blueface’s Shooting Victim Takes Courtroom Selfie

Blueface just got a pretty heavy life update, as the court sentenced him to 24 months of suspended sentence for his involvement in an October 2022 Vegas strip club shooting. Not only that, but authorities will fully arrest him and he will have to serve time if they see him around firearms. Even though this seems like quite the handful for the rapper, it could have been way worse, and the judge’s mercy is not lost on anyone. After all, there have been so many reasons over the past few months for fans to ask for legal action against him. There’s the 26-year-old’s dispute with Chrisean Rock and his content around their baby, plus issues with his other baby mama Jaidyn Alexis.

Moreover, Kentavious Taylor, the man who Blueface shot at back in 2022, took a hilariously awkward selfie with him in court. He doesn’t look too fazed, although it was Taylor’s caption that actually hinted towards some real contention here- apart from getting shot, of course, “P***y a** n***a,” Taylor wrote on Twitter, adding a clown emoji for good measure. Will there ever be a week where the California native doesn’t deal with or cause a big splash of drama and antics?

Man Who Blueface Shot Takes Selfie In The Courtroom

Probably not for the foreseeable future, but the judge in Blueface’s case made it very clear that he’s got to clean up his act. “No, you cannot have guns,” she remarked to the courtroom. “There’s no confusion on that point. If you choose to roll with guns, that’s your choice, but I will tell you if you come back here with any probation violations– especially one with weapons– I will not hesitate to put you in prison for a significant period of time. You are playing with your liberty.”

Meanwhile, this is an odd day for all this to go down, considering that it’s Jaidyn Alexis’ birthday. While his baby mama drama took up a lot of headline space over the past few months, his legal troubles are still at center stage. Let’s hope that future stories relate more to the “Thotiana” MC’s career moves. For more news and the latest updates on Blueface, keep checking in with HNHH.

Victim Of Lil Baby Concert Shooting Reveals His Health Following The Incident

Lil Baby’s Memphis concert resulted in a shocking and dangerous night as shots rang out while he performed with Rylo Rodriguez. Moreover, police are still investigating the incident that resulted in one man sustaining injuries, though fortunately no one else was struck. Similarly fortunate news is that the victim in question is seemingly all healed up now, as he posted a video of him getting ready for the day listening to music. Furthermore, with bandages on his body and a positive attitude, it seems like he fully recovered from what could’ve been a tragic occurrence.

If you’re curious as to who the victim is, who the perpetrator is, and why this all happened, Memphis PD are still looking into it. However, reports indicate that the man who got shot at the Lil Baby concert is Young Dolph’s cousin, CEO Jizzle. Authorities are still searching for the shooter, and investigating how they entered a firearm into the FedEx Forum arena. As such, it’s still a murky case. With time and effort, though, hopefully they can crack down on this for future concerts, both on the tour and at this venue.

Here’s what some of the artists billed to perform had to say about this incident. “Memphis is ghetto as f**k,” GloRilla wrote on social media shortly after the shooting. “We been on this tour this whole f***ing time and today they want to f***ing shoot. It ain’t been a shootout at not a one of these shows… Man, this some ghetto s**t. It ain’t even funny, for real.” Meanwhile, Lil Baby didn’t directly address the shooting, but did issue a statement. Also, he cited “unforeseen circumstances” and announced that he canceled his following show in Kentucky as well.

“Unfortunately I couldn’t perform last night in Memphis,” the 4PF leader wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Ima make sure everybody gets a refund tho.” As unfortunate, scary, and potentially tragic as this situation is, at least the injured person is back on his feet. Hopefully this doesn’t befall other Baby shows- or any other concerts, for that matter, in the future. With that in mind, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Lil Baby.

YNW Melly Update: Alleged Victim’s Mom Asks Judge To Deny Rapper’s Bond

Even after spending four long years of his life behind bars, YNW Melly remains persistent in his quest for freedom. The Florida-born rapper was granted a mistrial while facing accusations of double murder earlier this summer. He’s currently remaining behind bars while awaiting his impending retrial. This week, Melly returned to the courthouse to make his case for bond. Understandably, the embattled entertainer wants to be in the company of friends and family until he’s potentially found guilty. Of course, not everyone wants to see the “Murder on My Mind” artist walk free – particularly not the loved ones of his alleged victims.

As AllHipHop reports, Melly had a hearing on Friday (September 15) during which Judge John Murphy overheard his legal team’s request for bail. Seeing as the 24-year-old has been accused of killing his two affiliates, YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchhaser, in 2018, it’s reasonable that there’s a reluctance to put a bond in place. Still, Melly has spent all of his 20s so far behind bars, and it’s unclear exactly when he’ll find out his fate. After the alleged murderer and his lawyers made their case, Murphy also heard from one of the victim’s mothers.

YNW Melly’s Court Proceedings Continue After Mistrial

“I don’t think he should be granted a bond at all,” Leondra Phillips, Juvy’s mom, shared in court earlier today. If he doesn’t receive bail, Melly will likely spend the remainder of 2023 in jail. Jury selection is scheduled to begin on October 9. Following that, prosecutors are hoping to have all 12 members seated by November 2.

It’s been a quiet few weeks on YNW Melly’s front. However, earlier this month one of the members of his original jury shared some interesting insight with the media. According to them, the accusations against the rapper aren’t as gruesome as they seem, they’re simply “a really bad situation of being framed.” Read everything they had to say at the link below and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

C-Murder’s Alleged Murder Victim’s Brother Slams Kim Kardashian

The brother of C-Murder’s alleged murder victim, George Thomas, says that Kim Kardashian working to free the incarcerated rapper is a “slap in the face” to his family. Thomas spoke about Kardashian’s efforts during an appearance on BOSS TALK 101.

“It was a slap in the face to the family,” he said during the interview. “It’s a high-profile case, so you jumped on a case without reading all of the facts.” He added: “Had you done the research, you would say: ‘Hey, I’m not getting in this case.’ And then my family can’t properly mourn because every year — whether it’s BET, whether it’s something on YouTube, where there’s something else coming forward — it’s like it’s always he’s innocent, he was railroaded.”

Kardashian has been actively working with Master P and others to spread awareness about C-Murder’s case. In August she shared an update on the situation in a lengthy statement on social media. “There is no remaining evidence that even suggests that Corey Miller is any more culpable than the hundreds of patrons who were at the Platinum Club on January 12, 2002, when Steve Thomas was tragically shot,” Kardashian wrote at the time. “Rather than search for the real perpetrator of the crime, the local sheriff’s office zeroed in on proving a case against Mr. Miller. The lead detective harassed multiple witnesses and mishandled the case to such a degree that the trial court had no choice but to grant Mr. Miller a new trial after he was convicted in 2003.”

C-Murder was arrested in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas back in 2002. He was eventually found guilty and sentenced to life in prison on August 14, 2009.

YNW Juvy’s Father Says Money Dispute Could Have Been A Motive For YNW Melly

The father of one of YNW Melly’s alleged victims, YNW Juvy, has shared what he believes to be the motive for Melly’s alleged double-murder. Melly, along with YNW Bortlen, are accused of murdering Christopher “Juvy” Thomas Jr., and Anthony “Sakchaser” Williams in 2018. Christopher Thomas Sr. told Law & Crime that he believes the motive could have been a money dispute involving the YNW brand. According to him, the men were planning to sell YNW for “marketing and licensing.” “Melly was gonna get $200,000, [Sakchaser] was gonna get $200,000, [Juvy] was gonna get $100,000,” he claims. The father believes that Melly wanted a bigger cut of the money than what was agreed upon.

“From day one, I believed that Melly was responsible for my son’s death on October 26,” he also said. He later claims that Melly’s “demeanor” and “body language” has him convinced of his guilt. “When I finally talked to [Melly] and Cortlen on FaceTime, their response and how they reacted — they showed no remorse. They didn’t act like they was grievin,’ like they lost a best friend or nothin’,” he also revealed, “in my opinion, they were in the best spirits. They never came to town, never came to my son’s funeral.”

The alleged victim’s father also noted that, “[Melly’s] defense attorney got him wearin’ turtle necks to hide his neck, ’cause he got ‘Jamell’ tatted on his neck — that’s Sak mom’s name. And he got Chris name and Sak name.” “These are best friends … he couldn’t even stop and pay his condolences to his best friend’s mom,” he explained, “I have no words for that guy.”

Juvy’s father has also previously spoken out against those showing public support to Melly amid the trial. “Y’all are b*tches, man,” he said. He even called out rapper Boosie Badazz for publicly supporting Melly. “Boosie down there supporting Melly — he flaw as f*ck for that,” he said, “He don’t even know that n***a Melly. He talking ’bout, ‘I want Melly free ’cause that n***a bought me snacks and a magazine at the airport.’ What?”

Coolio’s Estate Receives $173K Demand From Alleged Assault Victim

Coolio’s alleged victim of assault recently demanded that the late rapper‘s estate pay her $173K stemming from an unresolved lawsuit. Back in 2011, Randa Davis sued him for allegedly jumping on her back and riding her like a bull after a September 2009 concert in Detroit, which not only injured but humiliated her. According to that suit, the Compton-raised MC was very drunk and invited Davis and a friend to a VIP area after the show for some clubbing when the incident occurred. A few years passed, and he allegedly ignored the filing until she sought default judgement. However, when an attorney appeared on his behalf after he caught wind, the judge still aware Davis the money in question back in 2013.

Ten years later, that default payment is the center of her demand to Coolio’s estate. From what Radar Online reports indicate, Davis put forth a creditor’s claim for $173,069.28 and claimed that she is still owed this money from the verdict. In her initial lawsuit, she alleged to have experienced “pain, disability, mental anguish, medical expenses, wage loss, loss of future earning potential and other damages” as a result of the incident. Given that she originally wanted $1 million in damages, it’s unclear whether this new demand is full or partial payment.

However, this situation faces further complications when it comes to the beneficiaries of the “Fantastic Voyage” artist’s estate. Moreover, back in April, a judge sided with his manager’s motion to access these assets since Coolio passed away without a will in September of 2022. However, earlier reports indicated that the estate would likely split between his seven children. As such, perhaps there will be multiple sides trying to decide how to handle these demands, and the rest of what the hip-hop legend left behind.

Unfortunately, the rapper’s loss halted his plans to close out 2022 with big events. For one, he apparently came close to finalizing a deal for a 10-show residency in Las Vegas, specifically at the Westgate Resort & Casino. While these never came to fruition, he will live on through his family, projects in his honor, and the legacy and impact of his music. Perhaps his estate will also allow wrongs in his name to be rectified and finally laid to rest. For more updates and the latest news on Coolio, log back into HNHH.
