Tyler The Creator shocked the world by teasing his new album CHROMAKOPIA yesterday (Wednesday, October 16), and in true Tyler fashion, he didn’t take long to deliver on the hype. He just announced that the album will drop on Monday, October 28, an exciting and curious decision due to this being a Monday release. Also, the Hawthorne creative unveiled what is presumably the cover art for the new LP: a picture of the unnamed, mysterious character featured in the visual tease. Whatever’s on the way, fans everywhere can’t wait to hear what world he transports them to next.

Of course, there are a lot of fan theories floating around as to Tyler, The Creator and his possible next vision and era. Some online users are already comparing the aesthetics of CHROMAKOPIA to other T releases such as IGOR and even CHERRY BOMB when it comes to the teased “ST. CHROMA” snippet from yesterday’s visual. The “VIRGINIA BOY” remixer is known for his quasi-conceptual or full-on narrative work, and with a new color palette, persona, and sonic style, it looks like we’re getting another record in that vein.

Earlier this month, Charleston White was reportedly arrested in Texas for alleged aggravated assault, and “killing, poisoning or causing serious bodily injury to an animal without the owner’s consent.” He was in custody at Lon Evans Corrections Center, but now, he’s been released. In a clip shared today by DJ Akademiks on X, White is seen celebrating his newfound freedom with some fans.

It appears as though the internet personality hasn’t wasted any time getting back to business as usual either. In another clip, he goes off about YSL Woody and disses his disabled daughter. He and Woody have been going back and forth for several weeks now. Reportedly, White’s latest rant was in response to Woody celebrating his arrest.

The rant itself was unhinged, and in it, he essentially argued that his child was better than Woody’s. The clip arrives roughly a month after Woody called White out for trash-talking him in interviews. During a conversation with Adam22 in September, he revealed that he lost respect for White after seeing him switch up. “I had [love] for you,” he explained. “I thought that you had that same thing for me. But you wanna get on these platforms and say I’m a killer.”

Since then, White has put Woody on blast for his role in Young Thug’s case and more. Woody even suggested that White might have left a tracking device in his car earlier this month. Rod Wave Threatens Chris Sails After Spreading Rumors About Wave’s Alleged New Flame

Off the release of Rod Wave’s new album Last Lap, a lot of fans have questions about his song topics and their relation to his real life… Just don’t make too many assumptions about it. That’s what popular YouTuber Chris Sails learned when he took to social media to claim that Wave and his child’s mother are going through a rough patch right now. Then, Sails questioned why the rapper and singer keeps making sad songs, presumably about this topic, when he allegedly has a new girlfriend. The YouTuber did not offer any confirmation of this, though, so these are still just social media rumors on the gossip train at the end of the day.

Regardless, Rod Wave eventually caught wind of this, and he was understandably not pleased. “Aye Chris sail when we catch u we gone beat tf out u boyyyyy for da f**k of it,” he tweeted. “lol jk,” the “25” artist followed up. Soon after, Chris Sails returned to TikTok to react to these tweets and apologize to Wave for his presumptions and gossiping. He even started to sing one of his songs to show that he was a big fan, and that he meant no harm with his speculation.

Rod Wave & Chris Sails Clash

Elsewhere, Rod Wave also handled another social media narrative that seemed to propagate at his expense. GloRilla called him out for dropping an album the same day she was. “WHY DF WOULD YOU DROP ON MY DAY IM FINNA TWEAK OUT,” she wrote in Wave’s Instagram comments section upon the announcement of the aforementioned Last Lap. While this seems to be a joke, a theory bolstered by Glo engaging with his own social media page, some folks interpreted it as legitimate frustration.

Nevertheless, whether or not this is a contentious matter or just a light-hearted one, Rod Wave outsold GloRilla, so maybe she was right to be a little disillusioned. However, numbers don’t determine greatness in art. Fans enjoyed both new albums for wildly different reasons, and their crossover audience can get a kick out of both. We’ll see if Chris Sails continues to be a fan after this.

Earlier this week, Mena exposed Safaree for trying to lower his monthly child support payments despite allegedly only seeing his kids 16 times this year. He went on to share security footage which appears to show Mena allegedly assaulting him physically in front of their children. “I have to put myself first,” Safaree explained upon unveiling the security footage. “Because I’m either gonna end up in jail or worse because Im dealing with someone who’s anger management is nonexistent.”

In response, Mena went on a lengthy Instagram rant, in which she accused Safaree of having allegedly “violated her body” shortly before the footage was captured. “I wanted answers on why he would put my health in jeopardy but he’s not admitting that part,” she wrote in part. Now, it looks as if another one of Safaree’s exes might be throwing shade.

In a clip, Nicki Minaj delivers a cryptic message, urging viewers to “be careful what you ask for.” Some social media users are speculating that this was directed at Mena. This is unconfirmed, but it wouldn’t come as a huge surprise considering the shade Mena has thrown in the past. For those who don’t recall, Safaree called his breakup with Nicki the “biggest struggle” he’s had to overcome earlier this year.

Big Meech’s Prison Release Prompts Celebratory Reactions All Over Social Media

This week, reports emerged that Big Meech was finally out of prison, and from Sexyy Red to Slim Thug, many in the hip-hop world reacted happily to this news. For those unaware, Meech (real name Demetrius Flenory) and his brother Southwest T (real name Terry Lee Flenory) ran the “Black Mafia Family,” a massive drug trafficking organization, from the ’80s to the mid-2000s. Before the indictment against them in 2005, they also operated as a rap label that formed strong ties to the culture. Both brothers received a 30-year prison sentence, for which T saw an early release from federal prison in 2020.

Furthermore, you may also know the story of Big Meech from the 50 Cent-helmed BMF TV series starring Meech’s son as his father. But back to the big news at hand. Meech reportedly no longer appears in Federal Bureau of Prisons’ database for incarcerated individuals, a matter that TMZ confirmed with the Bureau this week. Instead, Demetrius Flenory will serve the rest of his prison sentence at a halfway house in Miami. As for when this sentence will end, the reported official release date is currently indicated as January 27, 2026. “Guess who’s back! Welcome home my brother Big Meech! Of course, if you’ve been following the story of Big Meech in recent years, then this news probably did not surprise you. After all, even Lil Meech spoke on the possibility that his father would see his freedom sooner rather than later, as this process developed over months and months of legal procedures. Now, that possibility fully manifested, or at least, in the sense that the former drug lord is no longer in federal prison. Overall, their association with Drake has certainly helped them, although they have managed to stand on their own two feet over the last decade. The group has been extremely consistent when it comes to new releases, and fans are always eager to hear what they have in store, whether that be an EP, and album, or just a new single to tease whatever they’ve got going on. Today, the group offered up a new song, simply called “Life 2.”

This song contains the immaculate vibes you would come to expect from a Majid Jordan track. The synths sound incredible and the drums are uplifting. Meanwhile, the singing is buttery smooth and sounds perfect over the 80s-inspired production. This is one of those tracks that immediately puts you into a good mood, especially with the Fall weather officially here in full swing. Hopefully, the existence of this single means that a project of some sort is on the horizon. That would really hit the spot right about now.

Rap superstar Megan Thee Stallion tells the story for the first time about what her life was like following the 2020 shooting incident involving Tory Lanez and the pressure she was under at the time, which caused her to have a mental breakdown.

Megan recently dropped the trailer for In Her Words documentary, which explains how “the global superstar recovers from a 2020 shooting incident and grapples with the perils of fame (among other things).”

In a clip from the trialer, she says, “I think I really forgot who I was, and when life started really getting crazy, I didn’t have [my mother]. That’s when I started getting the backlash. The shooting. The betrayal. I was definitely getting a little too engulfed in social media…I had really had, like, a real breakdown.”

She added, “I want people to understand how this affected me. I want people to see how I feel. I been through so much I can’t give up.”

The trailer was first announced by RocNation and TIME Studios back in 2022, however, the doc is slated to premiere on October 31 via Amazon Prime Video.

“We are thrilled to be able to work with Roc Nation to share Megan’s story with the world,” TIME Studios’ co-head of documentary Loren Hammonds said in a statement. “Millions of people are familiar with her as an entertainer, but this series will give her a chance to share her truth as never before.”

According to Cardi, however, there was far more to that interaction than what’s shown in the clip.

The “Enough” performer took to Twitter/X yesterday to reply to it, revealing that the call ended up getting pretty wild. “Yooooo I was so drunk I flashed my titties at her,” she wrote. “Dat was da highlight of my night,” GloRilla responded.
