Drake’s “Red Button” Lyrics Give Taylor Swift Her Flowers: “The Only Ni**a I Ever Rated”

Drake’s Scary Hours 3 makes it clear that he’s got no shortage of rap beefs, but still, this weekend’s new release isn’t all negative. Currently, the internet is discussing the Canadian’s bars aimed at the likes of Joe Budden, Kanye West, and Pusha T. Drizzy and the podcaster have been trading shots since the latter had a negative reaction to October’s For All The Dogs, while the Yeezy founder’s inconsistent energy seems to be a source of contention for his “Forever” collaborator. As for Pusha, that feud goes way back to the birth of Drake’s son, Adonis, which was exposed by Push through a scorching diss track.

On a more positive note, Taylor Swift is one recording artist who got plenty of love from the 37-year-old. “Taylor Swift the only ni**a that I ever rated,” Drake raps on “Red Button.” He continues, “Only one could make me drop the album just a little later / Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it.” As Variety notes, this seems to reference the previously delayed debut of Her Loss, which came after the sweeping success of the country-turned-pop star’s Midnights LP.

Drake Makes His Presence Felt on Scary Hours 3

Champagne Papi and 21 Sav’s collaborative effort was initially due out on October 28, though they held off until November 4. Unfortunately for them, “Anti-Hero” by Swift help onto the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 that week, though they ultimately claimed the top billing on the album chart.

If you didn’t manage to catch Drake when he was on the road with 21 Sav this past summer, you’ll be happy to know that he and J. Cole are heading out on the road in early 2024 to bring Scary Hours 3 and their other recent arrivals to the stage. After seeing how excited fans are for the upcoming shows, the “First Person Shooter” collaborators have decided to add 10 new dates to their lineup. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Taylor Swift Made It Onto Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition’ Via A Lyric That’s The Ultimate Compliment

Here in 2023, Taylor Swift has been truly inescapable, whether it was via her two new Taylor’s Version albums (Speak Now and 1989), her smash-hit The Eras Tour and accompanying theatrical concert film, or her getting to know Travis Kelce a whole lot better. Now, she’s popping up on albums she’s not even on.

Drake, who himself has also had a massive year, just dropped For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition today and he gives Swift a shout-out on Red Button. During the song’s opening verse, he raps, “Taylor Swift the only n**** that I ever rated / Only one could make me drop the album just a little later / Rest of y’all, I treat you like you never made it.”

The lyric is all praise for Swift, with Drake showing his respect for her impact and success by suggesting he’d push back an album release if she had a project coming out the same week, in order to avoid competition with her and give himself a better chance at chart success.

Meanwhile, just a few lines later, he also shares some less glowing thoughts about Kanye West: “Every time you need me for a boost, I never hesitated / Every time that Yeezy called a truce, he had my head inflated / Thinkin’ we gon’ finally peace it up and get to levitatin’ / Realize that everything premeditated.”

For All The Dogs Scary Hours Edition is out now via OVO/Republic.

Who Has The Most Nominations At The 2024 Grammys?

On Friday morning, November 10, The Recording Academy announced the full nomination field for the 2024 Grammys, which will occur on February 4, 2024 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS. The eligibility window was set for October 1, 2022 to September 15, 2023. So, while Dua Lipa’s freshly released single “Houdini” will have to wait, Lipa is still nominated for Song Of The Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media for “Dance The Night” from the Barbie movie. But two nominations is far from the most earned by a single artist. SZA has the most nominations for the 2024 Grammys with nine.

SZA shook the world when she dropped SOS on December 9, 2022. Her sophomore album spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, but she shared that debuting on Billboard‘s Hot 100 Songwriters chart meant “so f*cking much to me.” SOS singles “Kill Bill” and “Snooze” peaked at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, on the Billboard Hot 100.

At the 2024 Grammys, SZA is nominated for Record Of The Year (“Kill Bill”), Album Of The Year (SOS), Song Of The Year (“Kill Bill”), Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (“Ghost In The Machine” Feat. Phoebe Bridgers), Best R&B Performance (“Kill Bill”), Best Traditional R&B Performance (“Love Language”), Best Progressive R&B Album (SOS), Best R&B Song (“Snooze”), and Best Melodic Rap Performance (“Low”).

Behind SZA are Phoebe Bridgers, Victoria Monét, and Serban Ghenea with seven nominations apiece. (Bridgers’ seven include six nominations for Boygenius.) The artists with six nominations each are Boygenius, Billie Eilish, Brandy Clark, Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor Swift. Also, shout out to Lana Del Rey for her five nominations.

At the 2022 Grammys, SZA won her first and only Grammy as the featured artist on Doja Cat’s “Kiss Me More” in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. So, simple math: winning any of her nine nominations at the 2024 Grammys would mark her first Grammy as a solo artist.

‘Dancing With The Stars’ Is Following The NFL’s Footsteps By Luring In Taylor Swift Fans To Juice Ratings

Do you hear the faint jingling of several thousand sequins? That’s the Taylor Swift night on Dancing With The Stars coming soon to a screen near you.

It’s maybe a slight coincidence but let’s break down some facts: the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles on ABC next Monday, the day before DWTS. We know that Swift has been showing up to some recent games, and the NFL has been using Swiftian Concepts for their own personal benefit, so is it really far-fetched to believe DWTS is using Swift’s God-like status as a way to boost viewership after a lackluster season? You decide!

The long-running dancing competition will feature Swift’s Eras Tour choreographer Mandy Moore (not that one) as a special guest judge for its “Celebration Of Taylor Swift” night on Tuesday, November 21st. The six remaining couples will shake it off to various Swift cuts. If you ever wanted to see the likes of Alyson Hannigan and Jason Mraz battle it out on the Swift-inspired dance floor, now is your chance. Also, you must be from the year 2008, welcome.

While there is no confirmation that Swift will appear at the Chiefs game or even acknowledge the Dancing With The Stars night, she will be in Argentina this weekend, so maybe we can give her a day off from running through everyone’s brains.

Taylor Swift Invited Chiefs Wives And Girlfriends Over To Watch Their Game In Germany

Even though the Taylor Swift sightings at Kansas City Chiefs games have seemed to dwindle, she is still doing what she can to support. This past Sunday marked an important day in the NFL’s history, as they continue to expand the game to other countries. We have seen some great matchups take place in London, now we can expect more in Frankfurt, Germany.

The first one to take place happened to be the Chiefs and the “visiting” Miami Dolphins. It was a bit of a snoozer at the end of the first half. Travis Kelce and his team led 21-0. Then, Miami finally began to wake up and cut to seven heading into the fourth quarter. The Dolphins had a shot to tie with around a minute remaining but squandered the opportunity. Kelce was not his normal dominant self, hauling in just three catches for 14 yards. However, it was still good enough for him to be the leading receiver in franchise history, surpassing their former tight end, Tony Gonzalez.

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – OCTOBER 22: Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes react during a game between the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on October 22, 2023 in Kansas City, Missouri. (Photo by David Eulitt/Getty Images)

As we said, Taylor did not make the long flight over to Europe to watch her man play, but she did host a watch party. According to TMZ Sports, the superstar pop singer was at her pad in New York for it. Brittany Mahomes was also in attendance. The whole group even went to a place called Casa Cipriani to celebrate the thrilling win. Love can be sent from afar too ya know.

What are your initial thoughts on Taylor Swift inviting some of the Chiefs players’ significant others over to watch the game in Germany? Is this a serious step in her and Travis Kelce’s relationship? Do you actually buy that the tight end plays better when she is in attendance? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Taylor Swift, as well as everything else going on in the pop culture world.

Taylor Swift Is Once Again No. 1 On The ‘Billboard’ Hot 100 And ‘1989 (Taylor’s Version)’ Hasn’t Even Hit The Charts Yet

Every Monday, Billboard unveils the top 10 songs on the latest Hot 100 chart. The most recent rankings, for the chart dated November 4, are out now, so let’s run down who had this week’s biggest hits.

10. Gunna — “F*kumean”

This week’s top-10 songs are mostly the same as last week but shuffled around some, except for “F*kumean,” the only top-10 song that wasn’t in the region last week. The song, which previously peaked at No. 4, wasn’t far off, though, as it was No. 11 in last week’s ranks.

9. Bad Bunny — “Monaco”

Bad Bunny’s Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana single was the biggest chart debut last week, entering the chart at No. 5. This week, though, it’s nearly out of the top 10.

8. Drake — “IDGAF” Feat. Yeat

“IDGAF” had a big opening week at No. 2 a couple weeks ago, but it’s been gradually working its way down the Hot 100 after falling to No. 4 this week and now No. 8 this frame.

7. Morgan Wallen — “Thinkin’ Bout Me”

This Wallen song and the next one on this list at No. 6 continue their massive climbs over the past couple weeks: “Thinkin’ Bout Me” rose from No. 25 to No. 10 and now to No. 7, a return sparked by Drake’s For All The Dogs songs leaving the top 10.

6. Morgan Wallen — “Last Night”

Similarly, “Last Night,” a former No. 1, rose from No. 19 to No. 9 and now it’s flirting with re-entering the top 5 at No. 6.

5. Luke Combs — “Fast Car”

2023 has been good to Tracy Chapman: She owns both the writer’s and publisher’s share of her song “Fast Car,” so Combs’ successful cover has been lining her pockets for the past few months.

4. Zach Bryan — “I Remember Everything” Feat. Kacey Musgraves

“I Remember Everything” continues to be a multi-genre hit, as it’s No. 1 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs charts for an ninth week and the Hot Country Songs chart for a fifth time.

3. SZA — “Snooze”

“Snooze” hasn’t quite hit No. 1, but it’s been dominating the Hot R&B Songs chart, where it’s No. 1 for the 13th week.

2. Doja Cat — “Paint The Town Red”

“Paint The Town Red” is perhaps Doja Cat’s biggest hit of her career, as it’s her only song to spend more than one week at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Even this week, it’s still thriving at No. 2.

1. Taylor Swift — “Cruel Summer”

1989 (Taylor’s Version) is only a few days old so it hasn’t hit the charts yet, but Swift didn’t need it to claim No. 1 this week thanks to “Cruel Summer.” It looks like we’ll be seeing a lot of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) on the Hot 100 next week, though: On release day, the album’s songs occupied the top 21 spots of the daily Spotify songs chart for the US, and subsequent daily charts have been pretty much the same story.

Here Are Some Last-Minute, Music-Themed Halloween Costume Ideas For Your Spooky Season

The blinged-out crown of Christmas undoubtedly belongs to Mariah Carey. However, when it comes to Halloween, no one does it quite like Heidi Klum. If you don’t believe us, take a look at her over-the-top worm get-up last year. Due to the holiday’s placement in the week, many folks, including some of your favorite entertainers, will roll out their festive wardrobes over the weekend. Yesterday (October 26), Uproxx cover star Chlöe took to social media to share her Game Of Thrones-inspired look with her followers.

But if you don’t have time to sit in a special effects chair for hours on end or shop for extravagant pieces, here are some last-minute, music-themed costume ideas for your spooky season celebrations.

Bad Bunny

From his debut appearance on Saturday Night Live to his latest album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana, Bad Bunny has been on the lips of everyone, including his rumored boo Kendall Jenner. Pulling off a Bad Bunny costume is simple enough and can work in several instances. If you have tinted sunglasses, light-washed jeans (or overalls), and a plain white tee, you’re ready to do.

Beyoncé

You won’t break your soul, but you might break the bank if you plan to dress up as Beyoncé for Halloween. The “Cozy” singer also works as a solo concept, couple creation, or as a family function. We’ve outlined some tips for mirroring Beyoncé’s style here, but as a few additional tips, upcycling is key.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CvaoJQdySMw/?img_index=1 – body suit

Billie Eilish

Just as Armani White rapped on his viral song, Billie Eilish’s style is quite simple. In other words, the baggier, the better. The key to Eilish’s style is to look and feel effortlessly casual and comfortable. Everything oversized is the goal. So, large jeans and graphics tees are your friend for Halloween.

Drake

Drake’s peers may struggle with obtaining his level of commercial success within rap, but his fashion sensibilities are entirely different. We have created a guide for you to view here to get a visual sense of the “Slime You Out” rapper. But to provide you with options, similar to Billie Eilish, Drake is an avid lover of athleisure wear. Any workout gear you have to spare could work just fine.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has broken countless records this year thanks to her The Eras Tour. The “Cruel Summer” will surely be one of the most popular music-theme costumes this year, and who can blame anyone? Our guide here outlines some key pointers, but instead of focusing on the beautiful gowns she wears on stage, think more about her street style, which features tons of leather skirts, jeans, graphic tees, flannels, and more.

Some artists covered here are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
