Jonathan Majors Will Do First Post-Trial Interview With ABC

Jonathan Majors assault trial was one of the biggest news stories of 2023. The actor was ultimately found guilty of assault and harassment in the high-profile trial just a few weeks ago. Immediately following the news Marvel Studios severed ties with Majors who had been playing a character within their cinematic universe. In the weeks since he’s been pretty quiet making no public statements and only being snapped by paparazzi a few times. But now he’s prepared to break his silence on the case.

According to TMZ, Jonathan Majors sat down with ABC for an interview. One of the network’s news anchors Linsey Davis conducted the interview. The network also revealed that the interview will air on Monday and will also be made available on streaming the same day. It’s the first piece of publicity that majors has done since the guilty verdict was handed down. Some online are surprised that ABC in particular will be conducting the interview, given that they are owned by Disney. Disney also owns Marvel who very recently dropped Majors from their super-hero themed film series.

Jonathan Majors Will Break His Silence

Jonathan Majors is still yet to be sentenced for the guilty verdict. A hearing is scheduled for February 6th to hand down a sentence for his convictions. The charges could carry a sentence of up to one year, though many suspect that Majors won’t spend any actual time behind bars. Even before the guilty verdict was handed down in the trial Majors was already facing repercussions. All the way back in October Disney removed a show due to star Majors from their future plans. The show was called “Magazine Dreams,” though now it seems difficult to believe it will ever see the light of day.

Throughout the course of the trial, Majors seemed to grow closer with his new girlfriend Meagan Good. She often showed up alongside him in court and reports said they had grown incredibly close by the weeks leading up to the verdict. What do you think of Jonathan Majors choosing ABC for his first interview since being found guilty of assault? What do you think he will say about the trial during the new interview? ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Is Following The NFL’s Footsteps By Luring In Taylor Swift Fans To Juice Ratings

Do you hear the faint jingling of several thousand sequins? That’s the Taylor Swift night on Dancing With The Stars coming soon to a screen near you.

It’s maybe a slight coincidence but let’s break down some facts: the Kansas City Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles on ABC next Monday, the day before DWTS. We know that Swift has been showing up to some recent games, and the NFL has been using Swiftian Concepts for their own personal benefit, so is it really far-fetched to believe DWTS is using Swift’s God-like status as a way to boost viewership after a lackluster season? You decide!

The long-running dancing competition will feature Swift’s Eras Tour choreographer Mandy Moore (not that one) as a special guest judge for its “Celebration Of Taylor Swift” night on Tuesday, November 21st. The six remaining couples will shake it off to various Swift cuts. If you ever wanted to see the likes of Alyson Hannigan and Jason Mraz battle it out on the Swift-inspired dance floor, now is your chance. Also, you must be from the year 2008, welcome.

While there is no confirmation that Swift will appear at the Chiefs game or even acknowledge the Dancing With The Stars night, she will be in Argentina this weekend, so maybe we can give her a day off from running through everyone’s brains.

Aaliyah Will Be The Subject Of ABC News Special “Superstar”

It’s been over 20 years since R&B icon Aaliyah tragically passed away at the age of 22. Her short life and the tragic plane crash that ended it have been subject to public fascination for years and now there’s an hour-long celebration celebrating her life coming to ABC. The special which is titled Superstar: Aaliyah seeks to assess the impact she had on the worlds of R&B and fashion with her distinct style.

Another thing the documentary is expected to cover is Aaliyah’s notorious marriage to R. Kelly. The pair’s alleged marriage has been the subject of rumors for decades. They both initially denied that Aaliyah had forged paperwork and listed herself as 18 instead of 15 so the process would be legal. Years later during the Surviving R. Kelly documentary, it came to light that a former tour manager had helped the pair falsify documents after Aaliyah revealed she was pregnant. The episode will feature her former boyfriend Damon Dash as well as will.i.am Justine Skye, Karl Kani, and more. It will air on ABC Wednesday, June 14th, and be available to stream on Hulu the next day. You can watch the trailer for it here.

Aaliyah’s Superstar Moment

Previous episodes of the Superstar series have documented the legacies of other deceased stars. Richard Pryor, Kobe Bryant, and Whitney Houston are all among those who have had their own editions of the special. Aaliyah’s debut album Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number just had its 29th anniversary. Fans continue to stream her music and new artists continue to cite her as a major influence to this day. Earlier this year fans petitioned the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame to honor Aaliyah as an inductee, though she wasn’t nominated.

Fans also celebrated what would have been Aaliyah’s 44th birthday earlier this year. Many friends of Aaliyah and those influenced by her work also shared messages for the late singer. Friend and collaborator Missy Elliot sent out a heartfelt tweet commemorating the day back in January. Are you excited about the upcoming ABC News special highlighting Aaliyah’s legacy? Amy Robach & T.J. Holmes Spotted Packing On PDA In L.A. After ABC Exit

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were both seen in Los Angeles on Friday getting intimate just hours after ABC announced it had parted ways with the GMA3 co-anchors. The two former co-workers sparked an international media frenzy in late 2022 with their surprise romance.

In one photo caught by PageSix, Robach jumps into Holmes’ arms and kisses him. Robach rocked a gray sweater and high-waisted jeans while Holmes wore a black hoodie and jeans.

As for the state of their relationship, a source for PEOPLE recently confirmed that they are going ahead with their respective divorces.

“They’re very, very much together in every way. They’re proceeding with their divorces as they were going to anyway, and they’re in mediation with ABC about what the future holds,” the insider said. “But nobody feels like they could possibly be put back on air after the way this has been handled.”

At the time the scandal broke, Robach was reportedly near finalizing her divorce while Holmes filed for divorce in December.

ABC took both anchors off of the air following news of their affair. ABC News President Kimberly Godwin referred to the drama as a “distraction” for the company.

“I know that this has been a distraction for so many of us, but let’s not forget all the great work that continues to make ABC News the #1 news network in America, and that’s because of you,” she said in a memo at the time. “I want to thank you again for your patience and professionalism during this time.”

ABC Accidentally Shows Picture Of Quavo In Takeoff Tribute

At the end of every year, ABC does an “In Memorium” segment to honor the celebrities who have passed away throughout the months prior.

Airing on Monday (December 26), this year’s segment honored late figures like Olivia Newton-John, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, Coolio, Stephen “tWitch” Boss and more.

However, the network made a critical mistake. When the tribute for Takeoff appeared on the screen, it was unfortunately a photo of his uncle, Quavo, instead.

Evidently, fans were quick to notice and subsequently took to social media to air out their thoughts.

“ABC, count your f*cking days. These mother f*ckers really put a picture of Guavo and said RIP Takeoff! Like whyyyyyyy. Smh. Whoever put that slide show together needs to be fired,” says one user.

“Yo @ABC whoever you have reviewing the yearly tribute to all the famous people who died this year needs to get fired, had a pic of Quavo in place of Takeoff,” writes another.

“So I’m watching #TheYear on @abc and was caught off guard by the disrespect and ignorance of the programming. All black people don’t look the same and y’all got this one wrong, the person [in] the picture is clearly, clearly Quavo[.] Do better,” says another Twitter user.

The Apology

The network has since apologized for the mistake. Additionally, they have also updated the photo to be one of Takeoff. In a tweet posted on Tuesday (December 27), they made sure to correct it. “We apologize for the unfortunate error in a previous version of ‘The Year: 2022.’ It has been corrected,” the tweet reads.

It’s been nearly two months since the late Migos rapper‘s tragic murder in November following a fatal shooting at a private event in Houston. The “Last Memory” rapper was only 28 years old.

The alleged shooter, Patrick Clark, has since been arrested and charged with murder. Earlier today, a judge denied yet another request for a bond reduction by Clark’s legal team. His bond remains set at $1 million.
