Though there was no shortage of conflicting reports at first, Jamie Foxx seems to be making a steady recovery from the mysterious medical emergency he suffered during filming earlier this year. He’s been pouring his energy into healing his mind and body since then, and over the past few weeks, we’ve even seen him out and about enjoying some of his favourite activities. Foxx has yet to share specifics on his condition with fans, but according to RadarOnline, the latest regarding the Project Power actor’s love life is that he’s looking to spin the block.

Foxx’s ex, Katie Holmes, has reportedly caught his eye again. They first got together in 2013 after she ended her marriage to Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise. For the next six years, the pair was on-again-off-again, until 2019, when they ultimately called it quits. In the past, Holmes has said that the “Gold Digger” hitmaker’s partying lifestyle is what ended their union. “It has been many years of him stepping out with other women. He’s disrespectful and their lives were different. His partying ways don’t fit with hers as she’s focused on raising her daughter and working,” a source told UsWeekly at the time.

It seems that Foxx’s health scare has him re-evaluating the relationships in his life, among other things. “Jamie has dated scores of beautiful women in his life, but none came close to matching what he had with Katie,” one insider dished. “Their chemistry was off the charts. It was a romance born of passion but became so much more. In hindsight, Jamie can’t believe he let her slip through his fingers.”

Jamie Foxx Seen Indulging His Love Of Pickleball

Jamie Foxx continues to slowly recover from the life-threatening medical episode he underwent earlier this year. While his family has not made the details of what exactly caused his hospitalization, Foxx and others have since hinted that it was a life-or-death situation. While Foxx has been taking it slow, one of the activities he has seemingly enjoyed is pickleball. The tennis variant is in the midst of a national craze with thousands taking up the sport. While city councils pump money into the construction of new courts, many celebrities have begun to invest in their own teams. There is even the MPL (Major Pickleball League), which includes 24 teams made up of some of the best pickleball players in the world.

Foxx was spotted playing with a few friends back in July amid the first public sightings of the actor during his recovery. In fact, Foxx loves pickleball so much that he invested in his own paddle company, The Best Paddle. As his recovery continues, and he comes off a minor antisemitism scandal, Foxx was once again seen down at the pickleball courts with a few friends.

Foxx Displays Some Impressive Pickleball Skills

This time, Foxx was seen getting into some doubles action. Also taking part in the workout were NFL agent Ryan Sherry, director Taylor Chien, and Olympic beach volleyball player Casey Patterson. It appeared to be quite a lively match, with Patterson posting a video of a particularly nasty shot from Foxx. A beautiful spinning drop-shot, Foxx’s effort was basically impossible to return. “That Jamie Foxx spin will get ya,” Patterson captioned the video.

Foxx himself also got in on the trash talk. “I got dead balls out here! Dead balls!” Foxx teased. However, there were some who didn’t believe that it was Foxx who hit such an impressive shot. In fact, Patterson went as far as to post another angle of the shot to prove it was in fact Foxx who hit it. “For all the haters in the comments who say @iamjamiefoxx didn’t hit the ball,” Casey captioned the follow-up video.

Jamie Foxx Still Not “100%” Despite Recent Appearances

It’s been a tough few months for Jamie Foxx fans. The actor was suddenly hospitalized in April while on the set of his upcoming Netflix film, Back In Action. It was the latest in a long series of issues that had hampered production. Furthermore, the coverage of Foxx’s hospitalization was a mess, with Foxx seemingly both on the verge of death and recovering well. After many conflicting reports about his status, his daughter revealed in mid-May that he had been out of the hospital for several weeks. However, for the time being, Foxx continues to recover in private.

However, Foxx has begun to make public appearances in recent weeks. He has been seen at TopGolf as well as playing pickleball. Furthermore, John Boyega gave a positive update from the premiere of They Cloned Tyrone. “He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro,” Boyega said. “He’s doing well. And then, you know, we just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return.” He continued: “I gave him the well wishes directly. I gave him all the well wishes. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here. So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro.”

However, Foxx’s public appearances should not be an indication that the actor is at 100% health. “Jamie is doing so much better and he’s starting to feel like himself again. He’s not 100 percent and is still taking things easy, but he’s definitely on the road to recovery,” a source told Us Weekly. Furthermore, additional sources clarified the situation with Page Six. “[He has a] huge support system around him and his friends and family are making sure that he doesn’t take on too much,” the source explained.

Jamie Foxx has been through a whole lot over the past few months. Recently, he experienced a health scare that led to him being hospitalized. This subsequently led to a lot of speculation surrounding what happened to him. However, his family was able to keep the specifics under wraps. To this day, we still don’t know exactly what happened. Of course, this has led to a bunch of conspiracy theories from people who want to spread a narrative. Either way, Foxx will tell us what happened when he is good and ready.

Despite conflicting reports about his recovery, it seems as though he is doing very well. Over the course of the last week, we have seen Foxx out and about on numerous occasions. Wiz Khalifa hopped on social media to let fans know that he’s looking forward to his upcoming tour alongside Snoop Dogg. The artist recently suffered a “small rip in the cartilage” of his pelvis, which he says he’s now recovered from. The tour is set to begin next week, and it appears as thought Wiz Khalifa can’t wait.

“After a solid week of recovery I’m ready to get back to work,” he wrote on Twitter. “Practice for tour finna be fun as hell wit snoop tomorrow,” Wiz Khalifa added. “I’m really just gonna practice gettin stoned.” The “High School Reunion” tour begins on July 7, and will also feature special guests Too $hort, Warren G, DJ Drama, and Berner. The summer tour kicks off in Vancouver before making over 30 stops across the U.S. It’s set to wrap up at the end of August in Irvine, CA. It will also feature notable dates in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Phoenix, and more.

Last month, Snoop shared on Instagram that his upcoming collaborative album with Dr. Dre, Missionary, is “coming soon.” It will act as a follow-up to Doggystyle, in celebration of the 30-year-anniversary of the 1993 album. In May, producer Smitty shared some more details about the upcoming project. “‘I ain’t seen Dre this excited since The Chronic,” he recalled Snoop Dogg telling him, “‘He’s really excited about what we’re doing.’”

Recently, Wiz Khalifa detailed his pelvic tear for his Twitter followers. It’s currently unknown exactly what caused the injury, however, some suspect it could have been a result of his martial arts training. “Told the lady I ain’t need no help then proceeded to f*ck my back up,” he wrote. The artist wasn’t set back for too long, the next day writing, “The pain isn’t from the actual tear so soon as the spasms stop i should be Gu Wop.” Now, it appears that he’s healed, and geared up for the upcoming tour.

On Saturday (July 1), he shared a message via Instagram informing friends and fans that he’s working hard at getting back on his feet, though it certainly hasn’t been easy.

“Got stabbed in my chest and my arm,” Niko wrote in the caption of his brief photo dump. “My lung was punctured and collapsed. My diaphragm was also ruptured. They had to cut my stomach open and put a tube in my chest so I could breathe,” he explained. “By the grace of God today I’m back on my feet and I am breathing on my own,” he concluded. In the accompanying images, Khale is seen laying in a hospital bed with various tubes monitoring his vitals.
