Chris Brown Must Pay Dancer $15K For Eye Injuries From Fake Blood On Music Video Set

Chris Brown is known to go big with his music videos, but evidently, that doesn’t come without a cost. Back in 2019, backup dancer Danielle Griffin filed a lawsuit against the R&B icon, claiming to have sustained injuries on the set of his “High End” video. Instead of addressing the lawsuit, he ignored it, and he’s now been ordered to pay up.

In her lawsuit, Griffin claims that while shooting the video in 2017, someone from the wardrobe department approached her with fake blood. She was hesitant to allow the substance to be poured over her without wearing eye protection. The dancer was quickly assured, however, that it wouldn’t do her any harm. Unfortunately, that didn’t end up being the case.

Dancer Claims Fake Blood Left Her In Need Of Medical Treatment

Griffin says that shortly after the shoot, she began to experience issues, and had to seek medical treatment. Around the time of her original filing, photos of Griffin’s eyes swollen and leaking pus began to circulate online. As a result of the incident, she was forced to stay inside to recover for months, costing her job opportunities and even forcing her to drop out of her master’s degree program. She also claims she wasn’t given any assistance amid her recovery. Now, Brown must pay her a nearly $15K default judgment for her medical expenses and other damages.

What do you think of Chris Brown being ordered to pay a backup dancer $15K for fake blood on the set of his music video? What about her sustaining eye injuries from the substance? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Playboi Carti Gets Nicked By Machete During Music Video Shoot For “KETAMINE”: Watch

It seems that DJ Akademiks was onto something the other day when he told Playboi Carti fans to “stay tuned.” While people did not want to believe it, the social media pundit wound up being right in a way. We did not get Music, but we did receive another new single. If you have not heard, Playboi Carti delivered “KETAMINE,” presumably the sixth taster from the long-awaited aforementioned record. Like a couple of the tracks already, this one was released on the opium_00pium Instagram account. The visuals are quite unique as well as the sonics, and during the video shoot for “KETAMINE,” Playboi Carti suffered an injury.

You can actually see it play out in the full music video. Or, if you want to skip to it, check out the shortened clip below provided by Kurrco, found by HipHopDX. In the rundown and dilapidated room is a random mattress. Carti jumps off of it and and leaps toward the half-naked guitarist that is performing alongside him.

However, hanging from the ceiling by an exposed lightbulb is a sharp machete. Carti wound up jumping right into it and you can see that he appears to be shaken up. It is unclear whether or not he meant to do that, but hopefully it is not too serious of an injury. If you have not already, you can check out “KETAMINE” and see for yourself if it is deserving of the hype it is getting.

What are your thoughts on Playboi Carti getting hurt during the filming for the “KETAMINE” music video? Are you enjoying the song so far? Where would you rank the single compared to the previous ones and why? When do you see him releasing the album? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Playboi Carti. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the world of music.

Trae Young To Miss At Least 4 Weeks Following Finger Surgery

Trae Young will miss at least the next four weeks while recovering from a torn ligament in his left pinkie finger. The Hawks announced that the All-Star point guard will undergo surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York on Tuesday. After the four weeks, he will be re-evaluated. He suffered the injury during Friday’s loss to Toronto.

“You feel awful for Trae more than anything,” Hawks coach Quin Snyder said as noted by ESPN. “It is going to be a challenge for him not to be out there.” The absence comes as several key players for the Hawks have gotten hurt. “You have to adapt,” Snyder added. “That happened when we lost Jalen [Johnson]. We have to have minutes from Kobe [Bufkin] and Patty [Mills] and we obviously know what (Dejounte Murray) can do. I don’t want to wallow in anything.”

Atlanta is currently competing for a spot in the play-in games in the Eastern Conference as the regular season enters its second half. Young begins his recovery period while leading the team with 26.4 points and 10.8 assists per game. Snyder says the lineup will be “fluid” in his absence. “This will be fluid. If Boji starts, we lose his punch off the bench,” the coach said. “Do you want him stabilizing the second unit? There’s a lot of things that go into it. We will approach it that way.”

Anthony Anderson Hospitalized After On-Set Action Injury

Anthony Anderson has a bone to pick with a chair now following his recent hospitalization for an on-set injury while filming the action movie G20. Moreover, he got many scans and X-rays for the accident that occurred during a particularly hectic fight scene on the Cape Town, South Africa set. “I spent the night in the emergency room,” the entertainment figure and stand-up comic captioned an Instagram post of him on a gurney on Thursday (February 1). “Movie set fight gone wrong. Me against two goons and a chair! Guess who didn’t win! Who needs a stuntman? Me that’s who! I’m not as young as I used to be!”

Fortunately, it seems like Anthony Anderson recovered quickly, as he returned to the social media platform to swear revenge on his new enemy: a chair. “This is the chair that whooped my a** last night!” the storyteller wrote alongside a picture of the furniture. “Something about it is menacing! It sucker punched me in the kidneys and back with no mercy! When I got on set today it was grinning at me! Little does he know I got something for that a**! He gone learn today!”

Anthony Anderson’s Most Recent Instagram Post Addressing Injury

“CT scan and X-rays showed nothing fractured or broken in my back just a deep contusion,” Anthony Anderson had assured in his previous gurney-bound IG post. “That chair will never be the same though! Bloodied and bowed but never broken!” As such, it’s at least heartening to hear that things went smoothly for him, as we’re sure that those injuries on an action set can be difficult to deal with. We’re sure that, slowly but surely, the Black-ish star will go back to relaying hilarious stories about co-stars and fellow celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross as if nothing happened.

Meanwhile, that perseverance to entertain and stay happy amid all that is a true testament. It also reminded us that he has some great things on the way which we should all be excited for. We wonder if previous takes on Ye as president would still hold up today in a post-recovery stand-up set. To find out, log back into HNHH for more news on Anthony Anderson.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Hospitalized After Shattering Hip At Concert

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar recently stepped out for a concert in LA, but unfortunately, he ended up taking a pretty serious spill. The former NBA star reportedly shattered his hip after falling on the floor and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. It remains unclear what concert the 76-year-old was attending, but rep Deborah Morales has confirmed that the incident took place last night (December 15).

Once he arrived at the hospital, it was determined that he had a broken hip, but no further details of his condition are known at the time of writing. “We are all deeply appreciative of all the support for Kareem,” Morales says. “Especially from the Los Angeles Fire Department who assisted Kareem on site and the amazing medical team and doctors at UCLA Hospital who are taking great care of Kareem now.” While she didn’t give fans an update on his current condition, Morales’ statements lead them to believe he’s going to be okay.

He reflected on learning he had leukemia in 2008 after experiencing hot flashes during a 2018 interview with PEOPLE. He described feeling “very lucky” to be a survivor, detailing his treatment at the time.

“I feel fine, and I’m very fortunate to benefit from the medical research that enable the targeted drugs to deal with the types of leukemia that I possess,” he shared. “I’m very happy to be here and very happy to be participating.” He added that while there’s no real remission with leukemia, he does his best to make the most of his time. “I try to enjoy my life,” he explained. “I’m just trying to hang on here, and every day is blessing.” What do you think of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s recent incident? UConn Star Azzi Fudd Out For The Season

UConn has announced that junior Azzi Fudd will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. According to the school, Fudd suffered a non-contact injury during practice last week. She watched the #6 Huskies beat Maryland and Minnesota from the bench before the extent of her injury was announced. Fudd, the #1 recruit of the 2021 class, has been plagued with injuries across her first three years of college ball.

“We’re all just so upset for Azzi. She worked hard to be healthy for this season, and it’s unfortunate when you put in a lot of hard work and have a setback like this. Azzi loves the game and works tirelessly. I’m confident she’ll rehab with the same work ethic and come back better than ever. We’ll obviously miss her presence on the court, but Azzi will continue to be a great teammate and important part of this team this season. Our program will support Azzi through her recovery however we can,” head coach Geno Auriemma said in a statement.

UConn To Persevere Without Fudd

Despite the injury, it’s business as usual in Storrs. “We’ve always handled [injuries] really, really, really well. We’ve always been pretty resilient. For us to win 31 games last year, given what we went through, they respond, they don’t pout. They really don’t. So when I said, ‘Hey, we’re just going to have to figure this one out,’ it changes your rotation obviously, it changes maybe the way you want to play. It certainly changes your offense,” Auriemma told reporters last week.

The Huskies are 3-1, having suffered a shocking loss to then-unranked NC State in their second game of the season. However, things don’t get any easier for UConn going forward. The Huskies are in the Cayman Islands for a Feast Week tournament. There, they will have to face #2 UCLA and defending WNIT champions Kansas. UConn will be the first major test for the Bruins, who are 4-0 behind wins against Purdue, UC Riverside, Bellarmine, and Princeton.

Drew Brees Reveals That His Right Arm “Doesn’t Work” Anymore

Drew Brees shut down any speculation that he might be coaxed out of retirement by revealing a heart-breaking facet of his post-playing physique. “Look, I’ll let you in on a little fact. I don’t throw with my right arm anymore. My right arm does not work. So, when I throw in the backyard right now, I throw left-handed,” Brees told ESPN radio. Brees made the comments while appearing at a pickleball promotional event alongside John McEnroe. “I can play pickleball because it’s below the waist but anything above my shoulder I have a hard time with,” Brees explained.

Furthermore, Brees revealed that the root of his injury is a dislocation he suffered with the Chargers back in 2005. “[The injury] put me on the fast-track to a degenerative shoulder and all kind of arthritic changes. “If I could [throw right-handed], I would absolutely still be playing,” he explained. Brees needed a then-record 12 anchors to repair a 360-degree of his right labrum. He would join the Saints in 2006, spending the rest of his career in New Orleans.

Joe Flacco: “I Can Still Play”

While Brees may be permanently sidelined, there is one veteran QB who believes he’s still raring to go. Joe Flacco spoke on his return to the league during an introductory press conference with the Browns. “I definitely believe I can still play. I’m a veteran guy that’s been around a lot at this point in the season with a team that’s doing well. So, I think there’s a lot of different things I that I can bring to the table. Whatever my role ends up being and wherever this takes me, then I’ll do my best at that,” Flacco said.

The Browns brought in Flacco to add depth at quarterback after Deshaun Watson was ruled out for the rest of the season. However, Flacco will begin his Browns tenure as the backup to rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Thompson-Robinson earned the starting job after an impressive performance against the Steelers last weekend in what was his second career start. The Browns face the Broncos this weekend, a team that Flacco spent time with after leaving the Ravens.

Joe Burrow Suffers Season-Ending Injury

Joe Burrow has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a torn ligament in his right wrist. Burrow would exit Thursday night’s loss to the Ravens in the second quarter and was officially ruled out by halftime. It’s not Burrow’s first injury of the season, as he spent the first weeks of the season battling a nagging calf injury. Furthermore, the Bengals faced heavy criticism for trying to play Burrow through his injury despite his evident discomfort.

With Burrow out, the Bengals will likely turn to Jake Browning as the full-time starter. Browning threw for 68 yards on 8-for-14 passing against the Ravens. The former Washington Husky went undrafted in 2019 and spent two years on the Vikings’ practice squad before joining the Bengals in 2021. It’s unclear if the Bengals will look to sign another quarterback, given that Browning is now the only healthy signal-caller on the team. The Bengals are currently 5-5 during what is very much a down season for them.

NFL Investigating Burrow Injury Situation

The NFL has reportedly opened an investigation into why Joe Burrow was not listed on the Bengals’ injury report despite being visibly injured prior to the game. Burrow was seen exiting the team bus with a soft cast on his throwing hand. Furthermore, According to head coach Zac Taylor, the injury has been confirmed as a sprained wrist. However, he denied any knowledge of the injury prior to the game. “That was the first I saw anything about it,” Taylor said of the mid-game evaluation.

Injury report compliance is something taken very seriously by the NFL. Teams are required to report any injuries, even if the player takes the field. In 2019, the Steelers were fined $75,000 and coach Mike Tomlin was fined a further $25,000 for injury report discrepancies surrounding the status of Ben Roethlisberger in Week 2. Severe enough discrepancies could result in punishments such as the loss of draft picks. However, this is a developing story and we’ll have any updates as and when they emerge.

Deshaun Watson Speaks On Season-Ending Injury

Deshaun Watson has expressed his shock and sadness that his 2023 season is over after learning he needs surgery to repair a fracture in his throwing shoulder. “It’s very tough. Hurt about it. I’m still in disbelief. I’m still trying to process all the information. I felt like we were turning a corner to really make a run and still believe we still will with the guys in this locker room. I just wanted to physically be a part of it. … It’s tough to try to wrap everything around my head right now,” Watson told reporters at the Browns facility earlier today.

Watson reportedly sustained the injury in the first half of the Browns game against the Ravens last weekend. However, the 28-year-old remained in the game, which was also arguably his best performance since signing with Cleveland. However, injuries have marred Watson’s entire 2023 campaign. He missed four games earlier in the season due to a rotator cuff strain. In the six games he did play, he threw for 1115 yards and 7 touchdowns. His numbers are almost equivalent to his output across the six games he played last season. Overall, it puts an end to what was meant to be Watson’s redemption season after starting his Browns career on an 11-game suspension after being accused of sexual harassment and assault by over 20 women.

Browns Turn Rookie Thompson-Robinson

Elsewhere, the Browns confirmed that rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson would be the team’s starting quarterback against the Steelers this weekend. After a promising preseason, the UCLA rookie was thrust into his first career start in week four after Watson suffered an injury in pre-game warmups. He threw for 121 yards on 19-for-36 passing and threw three interceptions as the Ravens steamrolled the Browns. However, the team believes in Thompson Robinson. “I want to give him a week where he knows he’s the starter and gets a full week of preparation,” head coach Kevin Stefanski explained.

Thompson-Robinson starts over PJ Walker, the Browns’ primary backup who has started two of Watson’s missed games this season. Walker, who joined the Browns from Carolina in the offseason, has 618 yards, 1 touchdown, and 5 interceptions on the season so far. However, the decision means that now more than ever, the high-performance defense will be called upon to come through. Cleveland’s D has been one of the league’s best this year and is top-ten in terms of both passing and rushing yards allowed. Myles Garrett is well on his way to a career year, with many pundits already crowning him Defensive Player of the Year.

Deshaun Watson To Receive Season-Ending Surgery

The Cleveland Browns have announced that quarterback Deshaun Watson will be sidelined for the rest of the season. According to a statement from the team, Watson will undergo surgery to repair a fracture in his throwing shoulder. Watson reportedly sustained the injury in the first half of the Browns game against the Ravens last weekend. However, the 28-year-old remained in the game, which was also arguably his performance since signing with Cleveland.

Injuries have marred Watson’s entire 2023 campaign. He missed four games earlier in the season due to a rotator cuff strain. In the six games he did play, he threw for 1115 yards and 7 touchdowns. Watson-less Browns Turn To Walker

In Watson’s absence, the Browns have elevated backup PJ Walker to full-time starter. Walker, who joined the Browns from Carolina in the offseason, has 618 yards, 1 touchdown, and 5 interceptions on the season so far. That means the Browns’ high-performance defense will likely be called on even more over the second half of the season. Cleveland’s D has been one of the league’s best this year and is top-ten in terms of both passing and rushing yards allowed. Myles Garrett is well on his way to a career year, with many pundits already crowning him Defensive Player of the Year.

However, the Browns are 6-3 in one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL this season. They are half a game back of the Ravens and tied for second with the Steelers. Furthermore, the Bengals have completely turned their season around and are only a game back of Pittsburgh and Cleveland. As for the rest of the season, the Browns have a very mixed schedule. They face the aforementioned Steelers and Bengals as well as a surging Texans team. However, they also face ailing opponents in the Bears, Rams, and Jets.
