T-Pain Is Making Another “On Top Of The Covers” Album

T-Pain has announced that a sequel to his On Top of the Covers album is on the way. He confirmed the project while performing at the Stagecoach Festival as a surprise guest during Jelly Roll‘s set on Friday. On stage, he performed “All I Do Is Win” and “Buy U A Drank,” as well as a cover of “Should’ve Been a Cowboy” by the late Toby Keith.

After Jelly Roll praised the original album and revealed it’s what inspired him to invite T-Pain on stage, the rapper revealed that part 2 would be coming “real soon” and advised fans to “get ready for that.” He dropped the first album back in March of last year. It featured covers of Black Sabbath, Journey, Sam Cooke, and more.

T-Pain Performs With Jelly Roll

He previously revealed that he began working on the covers album years beforehand after winning The Masked Singer in 2019. “This covers album has been years in the making. I started recording this right after I won The Masked Singer,” he told Rolling Stone in 2023. “It got put on hold for a bit but now that I’m independent, I’m able to do whatever I want to do through Nappy Boy Entertainment and this is something I’ve felt strongly about for a long time. These songs are not what you’d expect when you hear that T-Pain is doing a covers album and that is what I think is cool about it.”

Questlove shared an edited version of Drake’s diss track, “Push Ups,” that presents the song as if it came from Motown. While he was loving the comedic version of the song, the legendary Roots drummer made sure not to take sides in the beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.

Rema Accuses Labels Of Trying To “Clone” Him, Says There’s A “Big 4”

Rema went on a viral rant on Twitter, Sunday, remarking that there’s now a “big 4” and that labels have been trying to “clone” him for years. Additionally, he agreed that every artist has been using him as a template since breaking onto the scene in 2019.

“No more Big 3 there’s now a Big 4,” he began. From there, he wrote in multiple tweets: “Tell your stylists to stop sending mails to brands with my name to get clothes imma pull up to your show and strip u on stage cuz that’s my sh*t HOE! fake celebrities, fake industry,” as well as “Labels get creative, stop trying to clone me.” Later in the day, he added: “Rema made Afrobeat EP’s a Big statement. Every new Artist since 2019 ate from the same template. Uh oh.”

He says the legendary singer is “shifting music” with her genre experimentation and venture into country. “Beyonce I just want to say appreciate the country album, she literally shifting music,” he wrote. “All the labels looking for country records because of the shift she’s started just by this album. And even inspiring me, people who look like me, to step outside the box as an urban artist.” He ended the post with a heart emoji.

Not all of the response to Cowboy Carter has been so positive. Courtney Love recently admitted that, while she likes Beyonce, she didn’t like the album. “I like the idea of Beyonce doing a country record because it’s about Black women going into spaces where previously only white women have been allowed, not that I like it much. As a concept, I love it. I just don’t like her music,” the Hole singer explained to Standard. Before that, Azaelia Banks made headlines for criticizing Beyonce’s project. “Sis, I live for Whiteyonce Donatella Bianca Bardot DOWN, but I’m kind of ashamed at how [you] switch from Baobab trees and Black Parade to this literal pick me stuff,” she wrote on Instagram back in March.

Some of her fans believe she only faked drinking the beverage, a sign that she’s expecting baby number two with ASAP Rocky.

“She’s so pregnant again and she won’t stop until she has a daughter,” one fan wrote in response to the clip on Twitter. Another joked: “The fake sipping? When I catch Asap Rocky.” One more replied: “This lets me know Asap Rocky just wasting time and resources with his antics lately LOL.”

Rihanna recently admitted that she’s willing to have more children with Rocky during a conversation with Mel Ottenberg for Interview magazine. “As many as God wants me to have,” she revealed when asked if she’s willing to have more children. “I don’t know what God wants, but I would go for more than two. I would try for my girl. But of course, if it’s another boy, it’s another boy.” She also explained of their relationship: “I let god lead and just let go. Fetty Wap shared a new picture of himself in prison on Instagram, on Saturday. In the caption, he paid tribute to one of his friends he met in prison while sharing a photo of them posing together. “You never no where life a take you but you find some good ppl along the way,” he wrote. “I got a few homies I met during my time down that’s real stand up n***s .. my brudda Tay Banga da Prez & Da Mobsta.”

Fans called for Fetty’s freedom in the comments section. Police arrested him for drug trafficking conspiracy in 2021. He is currently serving six years in prison after pleading guilty to charges a year later.

Rihanna’s transition into motherhood has been a sight supporters have loved to witness. The “Umbrella” singer and her partner, fellow musician Asap Rocky’s family, could be expanding soon. Well, that’s what fans continue to speculate online.

However, the conversation grew from whispers to screams following a now viral clip of Rihanna at a Fenty Beauty event. Yesterday (April 26), while celebrating the latest of the company’s latest product, soft’lit naturally luminous longwear foundation, Rihanna seemed to fan the flames even more. Instead of downing the glass of champagne offered to her, Rihanna aired on the side of caution.

On the gold carpet, Rihanna pretended to take a sip. Now, users believe that she is secretly pregnant with her and Asap Rocky’s third child. Although neither party have confirmed yet along hinted at the expansion of their family, that hasn’t stopped users online from running with the assumption. View a few of their responses below.

Snoop Dogg Apparently Co-Signs Drake’s Kendrick Lamar Diss With His A.I. Voice

When Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” dissed Kendrick Lamar from the “perspectives” of Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg by replicating their voices with A.I. technology, the latter West Coast legend didn’t really seem to mind that much. He simply uploaded a video on Instagram of him laughing in disbelief, questioning what happened, pointing to his Death Row clothing, and saying that he’s going back to bed. However, Tha Doggfather’s recent Instagram Story repost has fans thinking that he actually picked a side here. Moreover, he reposted a clip of him, ‘Pac, and other Cali icons over the years with the audio of “Taylor Made Freestyle” in the background.

Furthermore, this is a very curious repost given that Drake himself took down “Taylor Made Freestyle” from his social media after a legal threat from Tupac’s estate. Some Kendrick Lamar die-hards are scrambling for answers right now, either criticizing Snoop Dogg for this repost or making excuses: he didn’t hear the audio, he doesn’t run his account, he got hacked… the whole shebang. But to be honest, this isn’t really a surprising co-sign if it is actually a co-sign. After all, he appeared on the Toronto rapper’s For All The Dogs album last year, and maybe he does want K.Dot to uphold unwritten rap beef law and come through with a response already.

Snoop Dogg Reposts Drake’s Kendrick Lamar A.I. Diss, Leading To Speculation

Either way, it definitely wasn’t what Kendrick Lamar fans wanted to see, and it would be really curious to hear Snoop Dogg explicitly speak on this issue. Maybe that’s something that we’ll see once (or if) the Compton creative responds, but we know that Drake will likely keep basking in his current, still up-for-grabs victory and taunting him to clap back. His most recent social media troll was wearing chains that either are or at least resemble Tupac’s, plus a sweatshirt of Compton Community College. This is allegedly where Mr. Morale’s wife graduated from.

Meanwhile, the Long Beach MC is busy dealing with his current Death Row tenure. For example, he recently brought back Danny Boy as an artist for the label after years of separation. DDG Spills About Blueface Friendship & Halle Bailey Marriage Plans: Watch

The 26-year-old Michigan native welcomed his first child with girlfriend Halle Bailey late last year following months of relentless pregnancy rumors. Aside from adjusting to parenthood, the high-profile pair continues to work hard at their respective crafts. He opened up about how it’s all going during a recent episode of The Shade Room’s “Keep It 100!”

During the interview, the “Sh**t Up Your Block” performer spilled about his relationship with Bailey, sharing that what drew him to her the most was her sense of humor. He says that as an introvert, he doesn’t mind playing a supporting role at events with the Little Mermaid star, and actually prefers it. As for whether or not they plan to tie the knot anytime soon, DDG says that fans will just have to wait and see.

DDG Plans To Propose To Halle Bailey “Eventually”

“Yeah, eventually,” he said of marriage. DDG notes that baby Halo wasn’t planned, and plans to take a similar approach to a proposal. “I feel like, you know, it’s something that’s gon’ happen. You know, the whole baby stuff is not planned, you know, so it’s just like, I kind of don’t want to plan that either — I mean, I gotta plan that. But you know, life just happened,” he explained. “But I feel like we just have to move at our own pace at this point.”

Elsewhere in the interview, DDG described his friendship with Blueface, claiming that the controversial rapper is “definitely” a great friend. “Blueface — like this might sound, like, people might think I’m just talking — but he’s a great dude. Like, beyond the internet stuff, he’s a really great dude… I know he might look cr*zy online that the dude right there,” he revealed. Diddy’s Lawyers Have Reportedly Filed A Motion To Have Several Claims In ‘Revenge Porn’ Lawsuit Dismissed

Diddy’s legal team is attempting to chip away at the mounting claims stacked against him. Following the bombshell lawsuit filed by his former Bad Boy Records signee Cassie, Diddy was named in several similar sexual assault cases. While, the mogul quickly settled with his ex-girlfriend, Diddy seems to be preparing to fight the outstanding allegations in a court of law.

However, according to AP News, Diddy’s lawyers are looking to reduce the amount of allegations made against him.

The outlet reports that on April 26, Diddy’s legal filed a motion to have the claims made by Joi Dickerson-Deal, including revenge porn and human trafficking, to be dismissed with prejudice. On November 23, Dickerson-Deal issued a lawsuit against Diddy (obtained by Rolling Stone), in which she alleged that Diddy drugged and sexual assaulted. She also claims that the encounter was filmed and shared by Diddy amongst his close associates.

In the motion, Diddy’s lawyers reportedly argued that he “cannot be sued because certain laws didn’t exist when Joi Dickerson-Deal made the allegations against him in 1991,” referring to revenge porn which wasn’t signed in to New York state law (the place of filing) until 2019.

“Without addressing the Complaint’s numerous false, offensive, and salacious accusations, which the Combs Defendants vehemently deny, substantially all of the claims purportedly alleged by Joi Dickerson-Neal (“Plaintiff” or “Dickerson”) cannot survive this Motion to Dismiss because they were brought under statutes that did not exist at the time the alleged misconduct occurred and against corporate entities that were not formed or in existence,” read the motion.

Dickerson-Deal’s attorney has not issued a public statement regarding the motion.
