Drake Gets Surprising Response From Wiley After He Posts Skepta Diss

Drake is quite the fan of the U.K hip-hop scene, whether it’s grime, drill, and a whole host of other subgenres and artists. However, his admiration for them might’ve gotten him in the middle of a beef within the Boy Better Know (BBK) collective. For those unaware, Skepta and Wiley are two excellent exponents of grime within this group, but they had a falling out and the latter soon distanced himself from the crew. Moreover, the 6ix God recently posted an old Skep freestyle on his Instagram Story which contains some very pointed shots towards Wiley. His response, though, is probably the most interesting part of this whole exchange.

“How can you be a king when you roll through anywhere?” Skepta spits in the clip that Drake reposted on social media recently. “Wiley, you don’t roll through anywhere, I go anywhere, fam, I’m never scared. You said you rep E3 but you never there, so lemme murk this guy. It’s all in your name, fam, I don’t need to try, I take away the W, I take away the Y. Fix up the other letters, all you do is just lie.”

Drake Reposts Skepta Freestyle: Watch

Meanwhile, Wiley actually had some praise to say for Drake amid folks expecting him to pop off against him. “I’m not gonna lie I actually think Drake is a cold rapper.” Not only that, but the British MC defended ghostwriting claims levied at the Toronto superstar– according to HipHopDX– and posted a video on social media of himself rocking out to Drizzy’s new Scary Hours 3 cut, “Red Button.” Not only that, but when a fan pointed out that he couldn’t have picked this video by accident, Wiley still shrugged it off. “Oh ok well either way we haffi big up the man like Drizzy Marley everytime Yanam Zayin,” he wrote.

Wiley’s Responses

Of course, the OVO mogul is no stranger to beef within rap, but he usually keeps it within his own artistic and stateside lane. It’s entirely possible that he thought this was just a cold freestyle regardless of context, and it’s been a while since he tapped back into that scene. Meek Mill left fans at a loss with the latest video on his Instagram Story, earlier this week. In the shaky clip, Meek recites lyrics while awkwardly climbing into the back seat of a car at night. He provided no further context as to why he posted the video. When Hollywood Unlocked shared it on Instagram, fans had plenty of jokes.

“Boy got in the car like he just got picked up from Soccer Practice and excited to play Roblox in the back seat,” one user wrote. Another posted: “He prayed for times like that to record videos like this…,” while a third commented: “Better question is why he crawl in the car like a tiger.”

The latest post comes after the release of Meek Mill and Rick Ross’ collaborative album, Too Good To Be True. After dropping the effort, Meek reacted to its low sales expectations in multiple posts on Twitter. He wrote at the time: “It’s says me and Ross on pace to sell 35k first week I would post if it said 350k… I’m too nice and rich to be rapping in a control music environment that’s why we dropping music on Fridays it’s doesn’t make sense… Now we all own our music we getting the tech built to put people on our own musical subscriptions and we gone let direct to consumer see if rap if doing well.” In another post, he added: “I never wanted to be on billboards. A lot of them guys they marketed in front of us can’t make 100k today … if people believe that tho, I want that market too. I’m Hungry lol.”

We’re approaching the end of 2023, which is kind of an up-and-down time for music fans. On one hand, new music releases slow down significantly, meaning there’s a lot less new stuff to enjoy for a few weeks. On the other hand, it’s around this time of year that Spotify unveils Spotify Wrapped, its annual, personalized rundown of its users’ listening habits.

Spotify hasn’t explicitly announced when this year’s Wrapped will become available, but here’s what we do know.

When Will Spotify Wrapped Be Released For 2023?

In a November 16 tweet, Spotify noted, “Wrapped is around the corner.” Indeed, precedent suggests that it truly is coming up. More specifically, it looks like Spotify users should be ready towards the end of November and start of December: Last year’s Wrapped was revealed on November 30, while the 2021 and 2020 editions arrived on December 1.

When Will Spotify Wrapped Stop Tracking For 2023?

Spotify previously noted that when it comes to the data used to generate Wrapped, only listening activity from January 1 to October 31 is taken into consideration. Now, though, it appears that is no longer the case: In response to a now-deleted tweet presumably about the Wrapped cut-off date, Spotify responded, “Hmm, that doesn’t sound right to us. Don’t worry, Wrapped is still counting past Oct. 31 [eyes emoji].” It has not been made clear exactly when the new cut-off is, but with Wrapped seemingly coming soon, it was likely at least weeks ago.

How Will I Be Able To See Spotify Wrapped?

When Wrapped is made available, Spotify usually makes it pretty obvious via its app on both mobile devices or computers, so finding it shouldn’t be an issue. If it is, though, try visiting spotify.com/wrapped.

Good question! Wrapped isn’t a permanently accessible feature, and while the end date isn’t information that’s officially available, some users have noted that it tends to disappear in early January, so about a month after it debuts.

The state of Georgia is buzzing with anticipation now that the YSL RICO trial‘s opening statements are finally unfolding today (November 27). Young Thug has been in court all morning, and while he might not be there in person to support his frequent collaborator, we do know that Gunna is at least in Atlanta this week. Over the weekend, the “fukumean” artist previewed what appears to be unreleased music on his Instagram Story, generating even more excitement for his follow-up to this year’s career-elevating a Gift & a Curse LP.

That project helped Gunna gain back several followers who previously jumped ship over allegations that he snitched on Young Thug, though not everyone has been eager to forgive him. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old continues to focus on his future – which might include hiring a new driver after nearly getting into a car accident. In the same Story where he plays his track for followers, Wunna films out of the window of a vehicle’s backseat as the person behind the wheel makes an illegal left turn.

Gunna Previews His Latest Work During ATL Cruise

When Akademiks shared the snippet on his IG page, viewers were concerned with Gunna’s health and safety above all else. “His driver need to focus on the road,” one user pointed out. “Turning left with two oncoming cars and no green arrow is crazy,” another wrote. Clearly, the traffic coming at the rapper’s vehicle at the time agreed, as they let out a beep of their horn to express their frustration.

Now that he doesn’t have to sit in court with Young Thug as a co-defendant in the YSL RICO trial, Gunna likely feels a massive weight taken off his shoulders. The Southern lyricist has been spending plenty of time outside this fall, impressing social media with his football arm at the Rams game earlier this month. Not everything he says is accepted as true by his other colleagues, but it’s unlikely that debate will ever die down. Moreover, the executive recently recalled how Jay-Z didn’t want to sign Kanye West to the Roc, and how he had to fight for his place in their roster of MCs. Overall, this isn’t particularly new information, although he doubled down on how hard he had to fight to combat their reluctance.

“I almost couldn’t sign Kanye, I had to get a vote,” Dame Dash expressed recently during an Instagram Live session. “I had to fight to put Kanye out, I had to fight Lyor [Cohen] and Jay-Z. They didn’t want that man to come out. So the point was, I was like, ‘Yo, I’m not gonna be in a place where I gotta fight to put that man out.’ The same way I had to fight to put Jay out, fight to put Rachel Roy out, fight to put Cam out. Everything that I’ve ever had to put out has been against nerds telling me not to put it out.”

T.I. Still Performs After Nasty King Harris Fight At The Atlanta Falcons Game

T.I. had a bit of a rough Thanksgiving weekend. He and his family attended the Atlanta Falcons game in Georgia against their NFC South rival, the New Orleans Saints. It was a nail-bitter with both middling teams fighting to the end to claim first place in the division. The Falcons went on to win, but it came with a price. The trap legend’s son, King Harris, painted himself in a negative light.

It all went down when the 19-year-old son went on Instagram Live. Harris mentioned how he used to go to his grandmother’s due to some fighting. Right after he said that his mother, Tiny, snatched the phone and gave the real reason as to why Harris went there often. Things began to escalate from there. T.I.’s son called out someone, saying, “What’s wrong with y’all? Why ya’ll doing that to me? Y’all know me, you know I stand on business. Why would you let someone play with me like that?” T.I. finally had enough and said that he was embarrassing the family.

King Harris teased a new song on his Instagram page, Sunday, after getting into an argument with his parents at the Atlanta Falcons’ game against the New Orleans Saints. After Harris hopped on Instagram Live and spoke about “getting into fights,” Tiny corrected her son while T.I. accused him of “embarrassing” himself and the family.

“As long as you stay by my side,” he captioned the song preview. Many fans took King’s parent’s side in their recent argument in response to the post. One fan commented: “Your mom and dad from the hood and became successful. Please stay in the gated community you were raised in.” Another wrote: “You talking all this shit until your allowance stops.”
