Jay-Z Didn’t Think Kanye West Was Worth Signing, Dame Dash Claims

As an estranged founder of Roc-A-Fella who was instrumental to its rise, Dame Dash has a lot to reflect on and spill beans about when it comes to that era. Not everything he says is accepted as true by his other colleagues, but it’s unlikely that debate will ever die down. Moreover, the executive recently recalled how Jay-Z didn’t want to sign Kanye West to the Roc, and how he had to fight for his place in their roster of MCs. Overall, this isn’t particularly new information, although he doubled down on how hard he had to fight to combat their reluctance.

“I almost couldn’t sign Kanye, I had to get a vote,” Dame Dash expressed recently during an Instagram Live session. “I had to fight to put Kanye out, I had to fight Lyor [Cohen] and Jay-Z. They didn’t want that man to come out. So the point was, I was like, ‘Yo, I’m not gonna be in a place where I gotta fight to put that man out.’ The same way I had to fight to put Jay out, fight to put Rachel Roy out, fight to put Cam out. Everything that I’ve ever had to put out has been against nerds telling me not to put it out.”

Dame Dash Claims Responsibility For Making Jay-Z Sign Kanye West: Watch

Meanwhile, this is what Jay-Z had to say about this debate in a 2009 interview with XXL. “Let’s first clear this thing about Dame and Kanye and all of us,” he began his version of the story. “We all had a conversation about Kanye and whether to sign him. No one knew what would become of Kanye. Not Dame, not me not Biggs.

“So we all sat down and said, ‘Let’s at least sign so we can keep the tracks in-house,’” Hov continued. “‘It’s only good business.’ And Dame said, ‘We can put Beans and Cam, surround him and make this type of album.’ I wasn’t saying don’t sign Kanye. I was saying, at least keep the beats in-house, if anything.” For more news and the latest updates on Dame Dash, Jay-Z, and Kanye West, check back in with HNHH.

Boosie Badazz Refuses To Comment On Yung Bleu’s Wife Drama Amid Their Beef

For those unaware, Boosie Badazz and Yung Bleu are currently beefing over contract issues and unfulfilled payments from the latter. In addition, Bleu apparently kicked an artist off his tour after he expressed support for the Baton Rouge MC, which rubbed him the wrong way. Despite that, though, it seems like Boosie refuses to cross certain lines, as his feud is between him and Bleu alone. Recently, he hopped on social media to explain that he doesn’t want to comment on his rival’s cheating scandal with his wife. That story’s picked up a lot of traction and interest, but Badazz still won’t sink to that level.

“Everybody askin’ me to go hard on this Bleu situation and his wife,” Boosie remarked in a new clip. “I ain’t doin’ that, dog. I ain’t finna jose on no n***a and his wife. You know, I ain’t finna do all that. If I’ma go at him, I’ma go at him. You know, I still feel it’s f***ed up how he playin’ it, bro.

Boosie Won’t Speak On Yung Bleu Situation, But Hints That It’s All Karma

“I feel like he keep piecin’ and getting my money,” Boosie continued. “I’m still f***ed up about that, but I ain’t been talkin’ about it because this s**t make me too mad, bro. But I ain’t finna go at him and his wife on no situation. That’s how God work, man. Right now, you don’t wanna give me nothing, but God gon’ give all of that to your wife. And that’s basically it, I ain’t finna jose out dude and his wife. That’s family, you know, then that s**t go to me talkin’ about his children and all that. I ain’t finna do that, dog.”

Meanwhile, the most recent update on that was the woman that Bleu flew out responding to the situation. On the other hand, Badazz said that he was a “con artist” and accused him of stealing money and trying to get away with it. In either narrative, we’re sure that more developments and revelations will fuel discussion in the near future. With that in mind, keep checking in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Boosie Badazz and Yung Bleu.

Post Malone Reportedly Blows Off Deposition In $350K Case With Ex-Girlfriend

Post Malone is reportedly dismissing a deposition for a $350K court case involving his split from ex-girlfriend Ashlen Diaz. Both individuals face a lawsuit from Martorell Law, who Diaz hired to arrange palimony from Post (support for non-married split couples) after their 2018 breakup. Moreover, Martorell accused both of reaching a private agreement and cutting the firm from previously promised settlement percentages. Now, the law firm alleged that Malone did not respond to the deposition served in his home of Utah.

According to a Radar Online report on Friday (March 3), Martorell filed a motion for a default judgement against Post of $787,027.60 for failing to answer the court order. Also, they claim that his legal team “refused to accommodate the request and instead threatened to bring malicious prosecution charges … six times despite Martorell noting repeatedly that he heard the threat and respectfully requesting he not repeat it.” Then, his lawyers addressed the situation by maintaining that he did not receive the notice upon delivery and only recently became aware of it.

“Because of the nature of my work as a touring musician, I spend most of my time on the road traveling for work or performing on tour,” Post stated in his team’s filing. “Indeed, in 2022, I only spent an estimated combined total of 2 months in the State of Utah. I had no idea I had been sued, and I had no idea I was a party to this action. I did not learn about the existence of this lawsuit until on or around December 19, 2022, upon which my attorneys were swiftly notified.”

Meanwhile, this adds to the “rockstar” singer’s legal problems, such as a suit involving Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs. Among several other famous codefendants, he faced accusations of misleading promotion and dishonestly valuing digital products. Moreover, the suit is specifically against Yuga Labs Inc., the company behind the virtual pieces. Regardless of his legal woes, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest on Post Malone.
