Lil Uzi Vert’s Insurance Tried To ‘Cut Him Off’ Over His Pink Diamond Forehead Piercing

Lil Uzi Vert caused quite the stir last year when he debuted his new forehead piercing. Containing a pink diamond that allegedly ran him $24 million, the implant prompted concerns about its safety, as well as hilarious memes comparing him to Avengers android Vision. After the jeweler allayed those fears, folks settled down and chalked the new accessory up to one of the avant-garde rapper’s many eccentricities. However, one instution wasn’t too excited about the addition: his insurance company.

“My insurance tried to cut me off,” he admitted on the Scuffed podcast. “They were like, ‘This kid’s trying to kill himself.’ They really were. Because we knew it was a piercing, my insurance looked at it like, ‘Okay, this kid just implanted this diamond in his head. He’s gonna die.’”

In order to keep his insurance, he said, he had to get the jeweler to explain how the accessory actually worked. “I really had to call the piercing person and show them low-key everything, like, it’s literally a piercing.” He further explained that he’d actually taken the gem out because “it was pretty heavy. It was like ripping my forehead, so I had to let it re-heal.”

Meanwhile, he nearly had to cash in any policies he had on the diamond itself recently, after nearly losing it during a stage diving incident.

The Student Lil Uzi Vert Helped With Tuition Invited The Rapper To His Graduation

Lil Uzi Vert has been on a streak of endearing viral stories lately, popping up at a friend’s wedding, renting out an amusement park for his girlfriend’s birthday, and popping out at his friend Playboi Carti’s recent performance at Rolling Loud. His streak continued today as he was invited to a fan’s college graduation. However, it wasn’t just a random invite — it was prompted by Uzi’s own act of generosity a couple of years ago when he offered to pay that fan’s tuition while shopping in a department store.

The student, Raheel Ahmad, approached Uzi in the store, asking if the rapper could help him out with his student loan debt. When Uzi inquired about how much it was, the jaw-dropping amount, $90,000, turned out to be well within the rapper’s means. However, he had one question for Ahmad before agreeing to the deal: “If I pay for your college, are you gonna finish college?”

It turns out Ahmad followed through on his end, announcing on Instagram that he’s not only graduating from Temple University this year but he’s doing so with a 3.5 GPA. “I’m sure you all remember this video of me asking Lil Uzi Vert at the mall if he could help pay for my college tuition,” he said in the video. He gave a quick explanation of his situation — his father recently died, leaving his mom to support him and five other kids — and gave some pointed commentary on the current state of America’s education system.

“College can’t be this expensive when it’s meant to be for a better and more stable future,” Raheel says, stating his intention to apply his political science degree toward education reform. He invites Lil Uzi Vert to his graduation party, but this time, he says, “Dinner is on me.” Check out Raheel’s video below.

Lil Uzi Vert Rented An Entire Theme Park For JT’s 29th Birthday

Who would have thought Lil Uzi Vert was such a romantic? The “XO Tour Llif3” rapper has been dating City Girls rapper JT for some time, and TMZ reports that for JT’s birthday, Uzi rented out Nickelodeon Studios Park at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. The couple and around 20 of their friends reportedly spent the day enjoying rides — the theme park includes a roller coaster and more. — with Uzi also giving his girlfriend a brand new McLaren. While the car was the more expensive gift, at around $300,000, the theme park trip wasn’t cheap — according to TMZ, it’s $50,000 to rent it out after hours.

Uzi is no stranger to making big splurges, though. Earlier this year, the Philadelphia rapper caused a stir (and became the subject of a thousand Avengers memes) when he purchased a huge pink diamond (allegedly worth $24 million) and got it embedded in the middle of his forehead. Unfortunately, the piercing wasn’t the most secure one in the world; it was apparently pulled out by fans at Rolling Loud Miami when Uzi jumped into the crowd. He said he still had possession of the diamond, so it wasn’t a total loss.

Lil Uzi fans have been impatiently awaiting his new project, The Pink Tape, the follow-up to 2020’s Eternal Atake, but it looks like they’ll have to hang on for a little longer as he delayed the tape past its original release date to make sure “it won’t suck.”
