Kid Cudi’s Dog Died And He Wrote A Heartbreaking Post About It: ‘I Am A Complete Mess’

We love our pets, which is what makes it hurt so much when we lose them. Kid Cudi is unfortunately dealing with that right now, as he revealed in a heartbreaking post last night that his dog Freshie has died.

He shared some photos and videos of the dog on social media and reflected on their journey together. Cudi got the dog while acting on How To Make It In America, so he could better relate to his dog-owning character. Over the next 11 years, Cudi formed a strong bond with Freshie, who helped the rapper through some tough times.

Cudi concluded his post, “My best f*ckin friend. Ill miss u everyday for as long as live. Ur w my dad now. And I better see u on the other side man. U better run up and give me so much love. Im lookin forward to it. I love you forever Mr Freshly. Til we meet on the other side my beautiful special boy. Goodbye.”

Find Cudi’s full post below.

“I got some sad news yall. Freshie is gone. He left us a few days ago peacefully at home surrounded by people that love him. His family. I held his hand and whispered in his ear to let him know I was there while he slipped away.I told him he was a special boy, my best friend, that he was perfect and that I loved him and Ill miss him so so much. I felt his heart stop beating and felt his last breath. Fresh has been in my life since 2010. I got him when the producers of How To Make It In America told me my character for 2nd season would sell weed and walk dogs. I had no previous interactions w dogs prior, other than giving one a pet if my friends had one at their place. I was truly nervous around dogs and I wanted to be comfortable onset w them so it felt legit. Like i was Domingo Dean, the dog walker/weed dealer.

After I got Freshie, I was wayyy more comfortable w the dogs onset. It worked. But at the time I had no idea I would have such a best friend in my life. He’s been here for 11 years, and my life has been one hell of a rollercoaster this whole time. Freshie was with me through it all everyday. He loved me. He really did. He came up and licked me if i was crying, he loved to lay in bed w me, he was always by my side or close by. He was my [guardian] angel. Nights Id want to cut myself, Id see Freshie and I couldnt do it. He would stare at me when I would have a knife to my stomach, eyes glaring at me tellin me to put the knife down. My life will be a lil more empty with him gone. To anyone that has lost a pet, I feel your pain.

I am a complete mess. I cry at random moments of the day. I think of him when I wake up. Thinkin i have to take him out to pee. When I go to bed I almost say ‘Cmon boy’ to let him know he can get in the bed with me. He would always wait to see if it was cool. He’d walk up, wait for me to say come on, then hop up. My best f*ckin friend. Ill miss u everyday for as long as live. Ur w my dad now. And I better see u on the other side man. U better run up and give me so much love. Im lookin forward to it. I love you forever Mr Freshly. Til we meet on the other side my beautiful special boy. Goodbye.”

Kid Cudi Is The Latest Rapper In Need Of A Professional Blunt Roller

Kid Cudi is looking to make his experience with marijuana a bit less laborious. The rapper sent out a tweet earlier this week calling for a specific kind of help. “I need a professional blunt roller in LA,” he wrote. “Hit @Shift_leader06 w resume. Serious inquires only!!”

The rapper’s appreciation for marijuana goes as far back as 2010, with his sophomore album, Man On The Moon II: The Legend Of Mr. Rager. It was filled with songs that referenced weed, including a pair of tracks titled “Marijuana” and “Ashin’ Kusher.” The role of the professional blunt roller is one that could amount to a big payoff for a lucky individual. While it might not be the $5,000 per day, the amount Quavo pays his assistant, it probably wouldn’t be shabby either.

Cudi is not the first rapper to seek a professional blunt roller. Two years ago, Snoop Dogg revealed that he hired one to work for him at the time. “That motherf*cker is like Lurch from the Addams Family: ‘You rang?’” Snoop said about the blunt roller. “That’s his J-O-B — his occupation,” he added. “On his resume, it says, ‘what do you do? I’m a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller.” That same year, Waka Flocka Flame shared that he was offering $50,000 for a professional blunt roller of his own.

Kid Cudi Said Even He Hadn’t Heard The Final Mix Of His ‘Donda’ Collab Until Last Night

Kid Cudi and Kanye have been friends and collaborators for years now — even recently releasing a whole joint album together as Kids See Ghosts — so it’s no surprise that Cudi would show up on Kanye’s new project, Donda. And though plenty of artists trust Kanye with creative freedom, it seems the last-minute preparations for the album are so down to the wire that Cudi hadn’t heard the final version of the pair’s collaboration on the record. “Havent heard the final this is new to me too!!” he wrote on Twitter as fans were excitedly posting clips from the live streaming event.

He later clarified that he knew he was on the album, just hadn’t heard final mixes of the track. “I knew!” he reassured a fan. “Just didnt hear final mixes.”

The song is reportedly called “Moon” and also includes vocals from Don Tolliver, although it seems like even those details might be subject to change before the album is actually finally released. Check out some clips and snippets of the song below and keep an eye out for the ever-shifting Donda release date. Hey, there’s always the Round Jacket pre-order aka the red jacket Yeezy wore at the first listening to hold the super fans over if needed.

Skepta Announced A New EP, ‘All In,’ Featuring Kid Cudi And J Balvin

Acclaimed British rapper and Grime legend Skepta just announced a new EP, and it includes some pretty big names on the tracklist. All In is the rapper’s first release since his 2019 full-length project Ignorance Is Bliss, and he shared the news on Instagram along with the album artwork. He also tagged the other artists that will be featured on the EP, which includes some big names like Kid Cudi — who just pulled off a comeback of his own with Man On The Moon III: The Chosen last year — and reggaeton star/noted McDonalds collaborator J Balvin.

Aside from the big names that American audiences are likely to recognize, Skepta also tapped Nigerian rapper Teezee, who is also the founder of the Lagos-based African culture magazine, Native Mag. Teezee appears on the track “Peace Of Mind” along with Kid Cudi, while Balvin holds down his own feature on a song called “Nirvana.” Check out the full tracklist below, the project drops this Friday on July 30th. Nothing else big happening that day like Billie Eilish dropping her hotly-anticipated new album Happier Than Ever or anything. Then again, their fanbases probably don’t overlap too much.

All In EP tracklist:
1. “Bellator”
2. “Peace Of Mind” (Featuring Kid Cudi and Teezee)
3. “Nirvana” (Featuring J Balvin)
4. “Lit Like This”
5. “Eyes On Me”
