Lil Woody Flaunts Social Media Success Amid Young Thug Trial Antics

Lil Woody has been making plenty of headlines lately for his role in the ongoing YSL RICO trial. Of course, this means that there are a lot more eyes on him than usual. Fortunately for him, it looks like his social media accounts have seen a huge boost as a result. Recently, he took to his Instagram Story to show off his stats, revealing that he’s been reaching a huge audience since last month.

According to his post, he’s reached over 4 million accounts since August 4, to be exact. While this number is certainly impressive, most commenters in Akademiks’ comments section aren’t happy with how Woody gained his following. Either way, he’s getting more attention than ever these days, and it doesn’t look like that’ll be stopping anytime soon.

Lil Woody Shows Off His Stats

Last month, for example, he shocked social media users with a scathing rant against the state. During the rant, he admitted that he lied about Young Thug’s crimes simply to keep himself out of trouble. “I don’t recall nothing that happened years ago,” he said at the time. “I just know that every time the police were after me and trying to get me, they kept bringing his name up. Whatever y’all want me to say, I’ma say it. That’s why they kept coming after me because they felt like they could make a case after him. And y’all wrong because y’all know that I’m full of s**t. And y’all keep trying to drag me to bring up bulls**t that y’all know that I’ve said. Why is y’all doing that? Leave me alone.”

What do you think of Lil Woody showing fans how he’s popping off on Instagram amid the YSL RICO trial? Are you surprised or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Boosie Badazz Continues To Blast Ralo For Insulting His Touring Schedule

Boosie Badazz effectively bodied Ralo on September 3. The latter decided to throw shots at Boosie for touring into his 40s. He claimed that he could never imagine doing that, and much preferred moving into a CEO/managerial position. To say Boosie Badazz didn’t like that is a gross understatement. He took Ralo to task in a lengthy Instagram post that criticized his loyalty and his musical talent. Well, not question so much as completely mock them. It seemed like the worst was over for Ralo, but Boosie Badazz decided to run it back hours later with another lengthy post.

To be fair, Ralo tempted fate a second time. The rapper decided to respond to Boosie Badazz’s tweet and call him “Auntie” while making fun of what he termed a “crash out.” In a turn of events that pretty much everybody saw coming, Boosie decided to respond yet again. He had plenty more to say about Ralo and the way he looks down upon older artists going on tour. “U could have named anybody who 41 n still rapping on stage,” the rapper noted. “U hatin lol.” Boosie proceeded to list out all the ways in which Ralo is not like him.

The desire to create distance stemmed from Ralo’s previous post, where he tried to find common ground in the fact that both him and Boosie served time in prison. It’s a tactic that somehow soured Boosie even more. “You not me, you don’t have music like me, u ain’t got paper like me,” the rapper wrote. He added that Ralo’s prison parallel did not reflect well on the rapper’s mindset. “Your mind has not elevated at all bro,” Boosie Badazz asserted. “We have two different mind sets.” He then dropped the most withering comment of all. “Going to jail don’t make us real,” he concluded. “It make us stupid.”

This is not the first time Boosie Badazz has tried to downplay his prison experience. The rapper admitted that he struggled to provide for his family while behind bars, and resorted to drug dealing as a result. “I still gotta feed my family on the outside so I basically was a drug dealer in prison,” he explained to Vlad TV. “Gotta keep it real. I was a drug dealer… had to feed my family.” Boosie’s critiques may be valid, but hopefully he and Ralo can squash their differences in the future.

Nipsey Hussle’s Son Looks Just Like Him And Fans Are Blown Away

Nipsey Hussle was known for his work ethic and his integrity. He was arguably more known for these aspects than his music, despite rising to fame as a rapper. Nipsey’s death in 2019 was tragic on many levels, but perhaps the most tragic was the fact that his only son would grow up without a father. Kross Ermias Asghedom turned eight years old on August 31. His mom, Lauren London, celebrated by posting a rare photo of him on Instagram. Fans were immediately struck by how much Kross looked like his late father.

It’s easy to see why. Kross looks like the spitting image of Nipsey Hussle, right down to the features and hairstyle. London posted the photo alongside a touching poem. “My little wise one,” she wrote. “You are the hope and promise. God shines through you. Happy 8th Birthday to my baby.” The comment section was flooded with support for the family, and glowing comparisons between Kross and his father. “Lil Nip,” one user wrote. “Watch what his father do through him,” another write. “His time is coming and we will see Kross rise high.”

Nipsey Hussle’s Son Celebrated His 8th Birthday

Nipsey Hussle talked about the joys of fatherhood several times during his lifetime. The rapper made a point of being a positive role model and consistent force in Kross’ life. “I think the definition of fatherhood is consistency,” he asserted. He also noted that a father needs to be thorough, and make sure that he’s laying the groundwork for his family to strive. He said something similar during a sit down with Steph Curry. “Every day when I take [my daughter] to school, we have a little convo that we have before she gets out of the car,” Nipsey told the NBA superstar. “[It goes] like ‘what is integrity?’ ‘Integrity is doing the right thing when nobody is looking.’”

This mindset is something that has lived on beyond Nipsey himself. In 2023, Kelly Rowland cited Nipsey Hussle’s words when discussing the way she raises her own sons. “I wanted my boys to have integrity and I got that from Nipsey Hussle,” Rowland told Parents Magazine. “I want them to be the kind of men who are proud of themselves. That’s really important to me — being good decision-makers.” Kross will no doubt make his father proud.

Tyrese “Officially Retires” From Social Media After Hot Take About Masculinity

Tyrese says he’s quitting social media for good after going on a lengthy rant about masculinity and men’s mental health on Instagram. To do so, he shared a video of himself breaking into tears on the red carpet for the premiere of his new film, 1992, in which he stars alongside the late Ray Liotta.

“I’m officially retired from social media,” he began. “I’m gonna go dark, I’m gonna pray, I’m gonna turn my comments off because I don’t want to be reminded of this very nasty and unbearable narrative that REAL MEN don’t cry. And if and when a man has a child on the way with that beautiful woman or fiancé or wife, and she ultimately has a miscarriage [I thank God I’ve never experienced this ] the only person who is depressed sad or even suicidal over that loss is NOT JUST the woman.”

From there, he continued: “REAL MEN these days are constantly being emasculated and someone has said lately even have the nerve to put the word TOXIC in front of MASCULINITY.. yes, the epic failure of trying to make me feel bad about literally being A MAN, an APLHA MALE, protective or OUTspoken FATHER or HEAD of my HOUSEHOLD.” He also brought up a relationship with an ex and the role men play in parenting. He ended the post by revealing that the soundtrack is available on streaming now and told fans to check out his latest project, Beautiful Pain.

Drake Accused Of Stealing “No Face” Bars From Indie Artist Sixpathsss

Everybody wants a piece of Drake. The rapper has tried to reframe his narrative in recent months, but the image of him as a “colonizer” has persisted in the minds of some. The reason why? Well, because he has been accused of stealing flows from other rappers. There’s much debate about Drake snatching the hashtag flow from Big Sean. There’s also the XXXTentacion story in 2017, in which the late rapper stated that Drake using his flow from “Look at Me.” Now, it’s an independent artist named Sixpathsss making the accusations.

Sixpathsss took to Instagram to claim that Drake stole his bars for and spit them on the song “No Face.” The artist posted the Drake song next to a file of his own, and the appearances do seem to be uncanny. “I don’t get sleepy off no melatonin/My therapist put in a thirty-day notice,” both Drizzy and Sixpathsss rap. “‘Cause I keep on talkin’ ’bout beefin’ and business and money and women, there’s no diagnosis.” It’s a pretty specific rhyme pattern and cadence. This supports the notion that Drake took some very obvious inspiration from a lesser-known rapper. The opinion among fans, though, has been mixed.

Drake Has Been Accused Of Stealing Flows For Years

Some fans were more than happy to pile on Drake for seemingly bolstering his culture vulture rep. The comment section on Instagram was flooded with remarks about Drake doing this his entire career. It’s worth noting, however, that Sixpathsss is not burgeoning star. He does not have a large following, and therefore stands to benefit greatly from accusing Drake of lyrical theft. It spurns outlets like this to start talking about him. “Man has 3000 followers,” one skeptical user wrote. “But Drake knows about him and steals his bars.”

The other element that makes the theft accusations fishy is the fact that Sixpathsss has done this sort of thing. He previously accused Trippie Redd of stealing bars, though nothing came of it from a cultural or legal standpoint. Past a certain point, it’s going to look like the rapper who cried wolf. It’s likely the Drake story will play out the same exact way. There’s much more focus on the absence of Playboi Carti on “No Face” than the off chance that Drake bit another rapper’s bars.

Duke Dennis Responds To Drake Posting The “Worst Picture” Of Him

Duke Dennis labeled the photo Drake posted of him on Instagram as the “worst picture of all time” while discussing the post on social media. The Toronto rapper originally uploaded a photo of the AMP member with the caption: “I’m not aware of my picture or mirror face. It’s a curse from birth and I’m influenced by what I see.” At first, Dennis hopped into the comments section to have a back-and-forth with Drake.

“Fendi head wrap having someone else take the pic in the mirror is wild, you a wild boy Duke,” Drake wrote, to which Dennis replied” “You got a few pictures that give off the same vibe.” Drake then added: “I accept my contributions to the mirror face members… We are akin to one another.” Dennis also addressed the photo while livestreaming. He explained that his phone was blowing up afterward. “I hate that picture so much… I go look at it, he used the worst picture of all time,” he joked.

Elsewhere in his post, Drake shared a picture of Joe Budden that has also served as an inspiration. The post comes after the Toronto rapper recently made headlines on social media for teasing a “Game 2,” which fans interpreted as referring to his battle with Kendrick Lamar. Budden had reacted to that post during a recent episode of his podcast. “I don’t think this has sat well with him. I think he’s doing a decent job now in post-battle recovery,” he claimed. “If you’re going to do it, I don’t want to hear, ‘We’re going to win game two.’ I don’t want to hear you promote s**t to [DJ Akademiks]. I just want you [to go] in your cave with your team and do it.”

Big Sean Clowns Drake By Recreating The Rapper’s Selfie Duck Face

Big Sean just had a big weight lifted off his shoulders. The rapper finally dropped his anticipated album Better Me Than You. Fans have waited years, and the general consensus so far is that it was worth the wait. Big Sean’s lyricism was on point, and the production was soulful and varied. But we’re not here to discuss the album. We’re here to discuss what Big Sean did in the aftermath of its release. The rapper was feeling good on Instagram Live, and he decided to mock Drake by recreating the 6 God’s infamous “duck face” for a selfie.

Big Sean knew what he was doing, and it was all in good fun. “I’m gonna do the Drake face,” he said during his IG Live. He tries to recreate the pouty expression that Drake has become known for, and he can’t hold it fore more than a few seconds without laughing. He tries one more time, and holds it for even less time. Sean probably saw the same Instagram post we all did on August 28. Drake decided to clown his own tendency for making duck faces by posting a few examples. He also, however, included pics of other guys doing it. Chiefly, YouTuber Duke Dennis and rapper-turned-podcaster Joe Budden.

Big Sean Responded To Drake’s Viral Instagram Post

Drake playfully credited Dennis and Budden for encouraging his duck face. “I’m not aware of my picture or mirror face,” the 6 God noted. “It’s a curse from birth and I’m influenced by what I see.” If the IG Live video came from another, some people would be calling shade. Big Sean, though, clears the allegations. The rapper is one of the agreeable people in the game. Well, as long as your name isn’t Kanye West or, for some reason, Kendrick Lamar. Sean and Drake have maintained a neutral relationship over the years.

The only times Big Sean has really talked about Drake has been the ways in which Drake has indirectly impacted his career. He told Drink Champs that he took offense to the fact that his ex label boss, West, often praised Drake over him. Big Sean also lamented the fact that his big comeback single, “Precision,” was drowned out by the Drake and Kendrick Lamar battle. On a person to person basis, however, Sean has never voiced issues with the Toronto superstar.

Cardi B Explains Her Controversial Joke About Atlantic Records Being A Prison

Cardi B ruffled a few feathers with her latest Instagram Story post for a couple of reasons. For those unaware, she posted a picture of her in the studio on Wednesday (August 28) that referred to it as the “Atlantic Records correctional facilities.” While a lot of people didn’t like how the Bronx femcee was seemingly unenthused about working on her long-awaited sophomore album, others took more direct issue with comparing this kind of career with a prison. Regardless of what side of these criticism she took the most issue with, she blasted the critics all the same in a new tweet on Thursday (August 29).

“The fact that I made a little joke about the studio because I been mixing and mastering about 40-50 songs and y’all turned that into I hate creating is crazy,” Cardi B shared with her followers. “This why artists don’t interact anymore cuz y’all will take one little joke and stretch it wider than y’all a**holes. God forbid I make a little sarcastic jokey jokey about motherhood y’all gonna claim I hate my kids and call cps…dweebs.” “HITS AND BEAUTIFUL A** KIDS,” she clapped back at a fan asking what she does create.

Cardi B Claps Back At Critics Of Her Atlantic Records Joke

In other news, amid Cardi B’s third pregnancy and Offset divorce, she revealed that she didn’t like the short time that she spent living in Atlanta. “I don’t live in Atlanta, I have a house in Atlanta,” she told social media. “I only go to Atlanta like three or four times a year. And probably I go for a week, maybe less. I tried to move to Atlanta in 2018 and I lived there for like six months. And I hated it. I don’t have not one friend in Atlanta, and I don’t have not even one family member in Atlanta. So I just don’t like Atlanta.”

More Responses

Meanwhile, it seems like Cardi B might have a new hip-hop suitor in the form of Pooh Shiesty, although Offset might have taken issue with that. Regardless, it’s going to be exciting to see what she has in store for the rest of the year. Some conflicting reports emerged over the past months as to whether or not this sophomore project will come out in 2024 or later. Hopefully, the Bardi Gang will have more reason to celebrate before we ring in the New Year.

Drake Playfully Cites Joe Budden And Duke Dennis As His Selfie “Influences”

Drake’s selfie face has become a renewable source of comedy for fans and haters alike. Everybody has seen a Drake photo and thought, “he’s doing too much.” The rapper knows this, and he decided to have some fun with his selfie reputation on Wednesday night. Drizzy hopped on his main Instagram profile for the first time in over a week to post some new selfies. What looked like a typical photo drop, though, was actually a means of poking fun at the men who “influenced” his style.

The first photo sees Drake doing another dramatic selfie face in a mirror. The second, though, is of Duke Dennis. Yes, the gaming YouTuber. The third photo is of Joe Budden. Yes, the rapper-turned-podcaster who has been beefing with Drake for the better part of a decade and a half. Drizzy made sure to choose photos in which Dennis and Budden are giving the camera their most “seductive” face. The photos are made all the more hilarious by the fact that Drake follows them up with two photos of himself looking, well, ridiculous with similar facial expression.

Drake Made Fun Of His Own Mirror Selfies

The caption that the 6 God attaches to these photos says it all. “I’m not aware of my picture or mirror face,” he writes. “It’s a curse from birth and I’m influenced by what I see.” It’s safe to say that nobody was expecting Drake to post photos of Duke Dennis and Joe Budden of all people. Not really the guys who come to mind when thinking of the rapper’s influences (Budden musically, but still). Duke Dennis has reacted to a lot of Drake songs, like most YouTubers, but the two have never publicly interacted. It just goes to show that the 6 God really likes to spend time online when he’s not recording or dropping 100 Gigs on our headtops.

Drake’s decision to post Joe Budden is intriguing, given the podcaster’s recent comments. The two men have never seen eye to eye, but Budden praised Drake during a recent pod. He felt like Drake was doing a good job of recovering after losing the Kendrick Lamar battle. He went as far as to say that he liked the last batch of songs Drizzy dropped on his 100 Gigs site. Drake has been charitable with another former enemy, Kanye West, by giving him a recent Instagram follow. Maybe the same thing is happening with Budden. It’s probably just a troll, though.
