Matthew Perry Was Sober Ahead Of His Death, Late Actor’s Friend Claims

Matthew Perry, American-Canadian actor celebrated for his work on Friends, passed away unexpectedly at his LA home last week. He was found unresponsive in his hot tub at the age of 54 after an apparent drowning. The beloved actor’s untimely death sparked quite a bit of speculation, with rumors floating around that he could have been under the influence ahead of the incident. He’d been open about struggling with substance abuse in the past, later detailing his journey to recovery in his 2022 memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.

Now, a friend of Perry’s who had seen him just one day before his passing has spoken out in his defense, shutting down rumors that he had relapsed. During a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Athenna Crosby recounted her final moments with the Friends star, claiming that he was “100 percent sober when he passed.”

“I mean, I can’t know what exactly he was thinking or feeling. I can only share my experience. And, of course, he was his own person that maybe he had said, done or thought of things the day that he passed that I might never come to know,” she explained. “I am now recalling all of the details about it just because the situation has been so tragic. And I’ve been kind of thinking like, ‘OK, was there anything that I, I guess, should have noticed or was there anything that stuck out to me?’ And honestly, no, there wasn’t,” she described. “He was so normal. He ordered a cheeseburger and had a Diet Coke and really just a normal day like any other day.”

In a subsequent Instagram post, Crosby revealed that she didn’t want to speak out initially, but chose to once it came out that they had grabbed lunch together right before the incident. “Know that man was on a comeback and truly deserved more time on this earth,” she added. “Our entertainment industry has truly lost a legend. Kid Cudi, Pharrell, And Travis Scott Detail What Went Down ‘At The Party’ On Their Thumping New Single

Kid Cudi’s rollout for Insano takes a big leap forward with “At The Party,” featuring both Pharrell and Travis Scott. In September, the Cleveland rapper pushed the album back, advising fans that it wouldn’t arrive until January, but in terms of the sort of tracks that’ll hold them over ’til then, you could do way worse than “At The Party.”

A loopy, bass-heavy beat backs rap verses from all three participants, who each perform with a buzzy filter and a droning delivery. The effects are cool and help make the three verses more lively, considering none of the three has ever really been anyone’s idea of a showstopping rapper. The features are also fitting since you can usually hear a lot of Pharrell’s influence in Kid Cudi’s music and even more of Kid Cudi’s influence in Travis Scott’s music.

They’re just two of the planned features for Insano, which Cudi teased would also include contributions from fellow genre-benders like ASAP Rocky, Lil Yachty, and Young Thug. Cudi also recently collaborated with Lil Durk on the song “Guitar In My Room” but it remains to be seen whose project it’ll show up on, if any.

Yung Miami And Stunna Girl Clarify That There’s No Beef

Yesterday, Stunna Girl took to Twitter to express her thoughts on people stealing her catchphrases. “I got btchs stealing “Haaaan” like btchs took City Girls “Periodt” & ran witted,” her tweet read. While her intentions seem pretty clear up front, plenty of fans interpreted the tweet as her taking shots at Yung Miami. That was because Miami had just recently shared a selfie using her “haaan” catchphrase as a caption.

Thankfully, the beef didn’t last long as the pair took to Instagram comments about the post to clear things up. “I was SUPPORTING the song lol I pray it’s not that deep!” Miami said in a comment. It clearly caught Stunna’s attention as the also took the chance to clarify. “I ain’t even seen yo picture I literally just gave y’all props about how they stole “Periodt” like they did my sh*t I wasn’t talmbout you boo,” she responded. In the comments, fans mostly agree that there’s no covert beef. “She did give them props I doubt she talking about them,” one of the top comments read. Yung Miami And Stunna Girl Clear The Air

Yung Miami is fresh off of a new album as part of the rap duo City Girls. The pair released RAW, their first new album since 2020’s City On Lock. While fans seemed to enjoy the record a lot, it ultimately delivered pretty underwhelming sales numbers.

For her part, Miami doesn’t seem bothered by the underperformance of RAW. “That’s good for a b**ch who voice y’all hate and can’t rap😏,” she responded to the news on Twitter. That comment plays into some of the common critiques that fans have of Miami. Ashanti Throws Nelly A Surprise Birthday Party

Nelly turned 49 yesterday, and Ashanti has been going all out for her man’s birthday. Earlier this week, we saw the songstress surprise him with a custom convertible, which he says he’s wanted since he was a kid. He shared a variety of photos of his new whip on Instagram, alongside a sweet message to Ashanti. “Sometimes all you can say is ‘Thank You,’” he wrote. “Best gift I ever received besides my kids!!!! You showed out shawty!!! Love you @ashanti.” 

In a new clip, she surprises him once again, this time with a group of their friends and family. In the clip, Ashanti’s seen guiding Nelly into a room filled with people waiting to surprise him, covering his eyes. He, of course, was fittingly rocking a birthday crown and sash for the occasion.

It appears as though the duo had a blast at the sweet surprise party, and Nelly was sure to thank fans and loved ones who celebrated with him. “Truly thankful for all the love and bday wishes from everyone that showed up for my Halloween/Bday celebrations,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a series of heart emojis.

Ashanti also shared a fun clip from the night, hyping Nelly up as he performed for guests at his party. We’re used to seeing 6ix9ine land himself in hot water on American soil. For the most part, 2023 has found the New Yorker travelling around the world to engage in his usual antics. Months after falling victim to a brutal beatdown at his gym, 6ix decided to turn the tables during a trip to the Dominican Republic. This proved to his opps that he doesn’t lose every fight he’s involved in. At the time, the “GOOBA” hitmaker and his goons allegedly jumped a group of producers who spent time in the studio with his girl – a move that got him arrested last month.

“First I want to thank God that I am fine,” 6ix shared in a statement at the time. “Thanks to everyone who has me in prayer… I feel so happy seeing you in full support.” The embattled entertainer also promised he would be returning, though yesterday (November 2) we received an update that suggests otherwise. “6ix9ine reveals he’s not allowed to leave the Dominican Republic for six months after he allegedly jumped two producers in the studio for his girlfriend,” a tweet from @mymixtapez alleges.

“He’s currently not in jail. [He] isn’t allowed to leave the country and go back to the US,” they also noted. Not only will he avoid the blistering cold back home, but 6ix will also be clear of any American enemies plotting against him until next spring.

Being forced to spend six months in another country may sound like hell for an average person.
