Drake & Kendrick Lamar Can’t Stop Their Crews From Turning To Violence, Boosie Badazz Claims

It’s no secret that Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral lyrical battle went a bit further than most fans expected. Regardless, neither of them resorted to violence amid the feud, though some were concerned that they might. Boosie Badazz, for example, was vocal about his disapproval of the beef. In various Tweets and videos, he explained that things had the potential to turn ugly in a hurry, despite preconceived notions fans may have about Drake and Kendrick.

He echoed this same sentiment during a recent interview with VladTV, clarifying his statements in response to skepticism from followers. Boosie claimed that while the artists themselves aren’t likely to get violent, that doesn’t mean the same for their respective crews.

Boosie Badazz Weighs In On Drake Vs. Kendrick Lamar

“In my comments, they’re saying ‘Boosie calm down, it’s Drake and Kendrick.’ That’s what most people are telling me,” he began. “Is that same Drake and Kendrick the same 20 people around you in your entourage? That’s not the same person.” Boosie continued, speculating that the two rappers may not have as much say in their crews as one might expect. He said something similar following the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s album We Still Don’t Trust You, arguing that if people are willing to support rap beef, they should be willing to go support those who end up in court over it.

Boosie also described how tragic it would be if Drake or Kendrick were to get hurt over their feud in a video with Ari Fletcher last month, noting how drastically the tone would shift. “Cuz what if somebody shoot Drake up? The whole world gon be sad… Somebody shoot Kendrick Lamar a** up? Chop his a** up? The whole house gon be quiet,” he said. What do you think of Boosie Badazz claiming that Drake and Kendrick Lamar can’t control their respective crews amid their beef? Diddy’s “Crumbling” Charter School Reportedly Plagued By Violence And Dysfunction

Parents and students of Diddy’s East Harlem charter school were sold a dream of high-end facilities and a top-tier education. Unfortunately, however, it appears as though they’ve experienced nothing of the sort. A new report by The Cut details the obstacles Capital Prep is currently up against, and features real accounts from 14 parents, students, and former employees.

Aside from boasting “a rigorous college preparatory curriculum,” Capital Prep prides itself in producing “engaged citizens for social justice.” It serves roughly 500 students, grades 6-12, who are mostly Black and low-income. What parents thought would be an excellent opportunity for their children has turned into nothing short of a nightmare, as the school is reportedly plagued by violence and overall dysfunction.

“He was supposed to be an inspiration to those children, coming from what you might consider the hood—and he was not,” one disappointed parent says of Diddy. “I thought if Diddy is funding and attaching his name to something, it would be run very tightly, that he was going to give our kids what he didn’t have at that age,” another explains. Parents and students describe understaffing and high teacher turnover, which they claim often took a toll on learning time. They also say that frequent fights, lockdowns, and more are the norm at Capital Prep. Teachers even called the police on students for small behavioral issues like dress code violations.

Reportedly, things grew even worse when the pandemic hit, and students were sent home to attend classes online. “We came home in March and then everything crumbled and it just kept crumbling,” one parent recalls. What do you think of reports that the students of Diddy’s Capital Prep are facing various serious issues? Are you surprised? Kenneth Petty’s “Violent Past” Raises Issues In $724K Lawsuit, Nicki Minaj Faces “Provoking” Accusations

Nicki Minaj is one of the most well-respected rappers in the music industry today, and she’s been romantically involved with other lyricists in the past. Among her highest profile relationships were Meek Mill and Safaree, though the black-haired beauty ultimately opted to settle down with a man who knew her before fame – Kenneth Petty. The couple shares one son, known to the world as Papa Bear. While their focus remains on building their happy family, they can’t seem to avoid legal controversies.

According to RadarOnline, Minaj is facing accusations of “provoking” her man to attack security at a 2019 concert after they failed to prevent a fan from rushing the stage. Guards quickly escorted the over-enthused attendee away. Still, the alleged victim claims the Queen of Rap was so upset by what could’ve happened that she had Petty assault him. First, she was yelling at a female security member, demanding answers about the fan’s appearance. At the time, Minaj was allegedly recording the encounter and yelling obscenities. Thomas Weidenmuller then stepped in to defend his co-worker, only for the Trinidadian to lash out at him too.

Later that day, Weidenmuller met with the mother of one, Petty, and two of her personal guards. “[Minaj] repeatedly screamed obscenities at him. She shouted, “Who do you think you are?” and demanded to know why he interrupted her when she attempted to video record her confrontation with the female security guard. She once again referred to the female security guard as a “f**king b**ch” and falsely insisted that Weidenmüller must have a physical or romantic relationship with her,” court documents state. “While Minaj screamed obscenities at me, Petty repositioned himself out of my eyesight and without warning struck me in the fact, which stunned and disoriented me. Because of the surprise nature of the attack, I am not sure as to whether Petty hit me with his fist or with a weapon.”

After seeking medical attention and undergoing numerous surgeries, Weidenmuller is asking for $724K in damages. He pointed out that Petty has a known history of violence, and that his wife encouraged him regardless of this. On the bright side for Nicki Minaj, she’s no longer on her husband’s decades-old sexual assault lawsuit. She’ll still appear “prominently” in the case, though the couple’s attorneys are trying to have Jennifer Hough’s allegations thrown out. Read all about that situation at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Boosie Badazz Offers Words Of Wisdom To Young Rappers

Boosie Badazz recently stopped by the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, where he was asked to give fellow rappers some words of advice on how they can maintain their longevity. According to Boosie, the formula’s simple. The Louisiana-born performer says that the key to it all is just having talent, and staying alive.

“To maintain your longevity you can’t get killed,” he began. “So I would tell them to stay out them streets, don’t rap beef with dudes, and stay alive. As long as you got talent, as long as you stay alive it’s a chance. I wouldn’t tell ’em just keep making music and being ignorant and trying to be gangsters, you know. I would tell them try to stay alive and your talent’s gonna speak for itself. When you do right by people, everything’s gonna fall into place.” Boosie also adds, “You just can’t cheat.”

Boosie Tells Young Artists To “Stay Alive”

Boosie then described how he didn’t take any kind of shortcut to get to the point he’s at in his career, encouraging others to do the same. “I never rapped about people to get where I’m at,” he explained. “So I would tell them, you know, stay real.” Clearly, the 40-year-old has some good advice. He’s gotten wrapped up in his own fair share of beef in the past, so it’s safe to say he’s got some knowledge on the outcomes it can lead to.

This isn’t the only time Boosie’s tried to make an impact on the younger generation, however. Last month, the performer also reached out to Kamala Harris, claiming he wanted to meet to discuss gun violence. He explained that he thinks young people would be more likely to listen to what he has to say since they look up to him. What do you think of the words of advice Boosie had for young rappers? Casanova Reportedly Left Bloody After Brutal Prison Altercation

According to reports, Casanova was recently involved in a bloody prison altercation where another inmate “slashed” him in the face. The fight is said to have taken place yesterday (June 15), at the Essex County Correction Facility in Newark, where he awaits sentencing for his RICO case. Court documents say that the former Brooklyn rapper was assaulted with a weapon. Allegedly, his fellow inmate Ulysses Lugo carried out the brutal attack. The incident follows Casanova reportedly cutting ties with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang.

Reports say that several other inmates were also involved in the altercation. Casanova allegedly retaliated, chasing Lugo and “[cutting his] face several times.” An officer who responded to the incident spoke with WNBC, detailing the scene. “Inmate Lugo? You couldn’t see his face because it was saturated in blood… and his whole uniform was saturated in blood,” he says, “Inmate Senior was sitting there and blood was just coming out of his face.” Anthony Puglisi, a spokesperson for Essex County, says “This minor incident and whether weapons were employed is under investigation.”

Casanova Allegedly Slashed In The Face

In a recent letter to Judge Philip Halpern, Casanova reportedly renounced his ties to the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang ahead of his sentencing, which is set to take place later this month. “I am telling you and anyone that will listen that I wanted out before I was arrested and I am out,” he wrote, “I learned through my music career that people will listen and that I don’t need to associate myself with a gang to succeed.” He said, “I don’t need to associate with a gang even if I don’t succeed.”

“I thought I needed to stay in the life in name because it was a way to promote my career,” Casanova continued, “I don’t care what the government tells you.” He told the judge, “I am telling you the truth. I was not involved in the daily activities of this gang.”
