Mase Recalls Being Trapped By Bloods After The Notorious B.I.G.’s Death

Mase says that a crew of about 70 Bloods pinned him down in a hotel in Los Angeles following the killing of The Notorious B.I.G. During the latest episode of his sports talk show with Cam’ron, It Is What It Is, Mase recalled the scary incident. He began by joking that it sounded like a Keefe D topic.

“I was in a hotel, I was actually in a hotel with a young lady,” he began, before elaborating, “I was trapped in the hotel. It was about, probably like, 70 or so Bloods in the hallway. I couldn’t even leave my room. After Big got killed, they were probably looking for more Bad Boy artists. And I couldn’t even leave the room ’til Gene Deal [Diddy’s former bodyguard] had to come get me.”

Casanova Reportedly Left Bloody After Brutal Prison Altercation

According to reports, Casanova was recently involved in a bloody prison altercation where another inmate “slashed” him in the face. The fight is said to have taken place yesterday (June 15), at the Essex County Correction Facility in Newark, where he awaits sentencing for his RICO case. Court documents say that the former Brooklyn rapper was assaulted with a weapon. Allegedly, his fellow inmate Ulysses Lugo carried out the brutal attack. The incident follows Casanova reportedly cutting ties with the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang.

Reports say that several other inmates were also involved in the altercation. Casanova allegedly retaliated, chasing Lugo and “[cutting his] face several times.” An officer who responded to the incident spoke with WNBC, detailing the scene. “Inmate Lugo? You couldn’t see his face because it was saturated in blood… and his whole uniform was saturated in blood,” he says, “Inmate Senior was sitting there and blood was just coming out of his face.” Anthony Puglisi, a spokesperson for Essex County, says “This minor incident and whether weapons were employed is under investigation.”

Casanova Allegedly Slashed In The Face

In a recent letter to Judge Philip Halpern, Casanova reportedly renounced his ties to the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang ahead of his sentencing, which is set to take place later this month. “I am telling you and anyone that will listen that I wanted out before I was arrested and I am out,” he wrote, “I learned through my music career that people will listen and that I don’t need to associate myself with a gang to succeed.” He said, “I don’t need to associate with a gang even if I don’t succeed.”

“I thought I needed to stay in the life in name because it was a way to promote my career,” Casanova continued, “I don’t care what the government tells you.” He told the judge, “I am telling you the truth. I was not involved in the daily activities of this gang.”

Snoop Dogg’s Storefront Vandalized With Anti-Crip Graffiti

Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg recently had his Funko Pop! store, “Tha Dogg House,” vandalized. The Inglewood, CA location was vandalized sometime at the end of last week, and has links to the rapper’s affiliation with SoCal street gang the Crips. The vandalism included anti-Crip messaging in red paint, likely a reference to Crips’ rival gang, the Bloods. One message included “CK,” or “Crips killer.” Snoop’s mural posted in front of the store was also covered with red paint. The storefront has already been cleaned up.

Snoop Dogg’s store opened in January of this year, selling Funko Pop! and GOLD figurines based on the rapper and his life. “Tha Dogg House” was created shortly after a partnership between Funko Pop! and Snoop was announced. Prior to opening day, Snoop Dogg shared about the venture, “This new store stays true to who I am as an entrepreneur and rapper.” He added, “I can’t wait for my fans to experience, touch, and feel it. Once you see it, it’s like no other thing in the world. ‘Tha Dogg House’ will blow your mind.”

CEO of Funko Pop! Andrew Perlmutter also said about the venture, “Snoop Dogg is an entertainment powerhouse and remains one of the most innovative and versatile figures in the entertainment industry.” He added, “We look forward to the debut of our newest retail experience and our partnership with Snoop whose expertise and impact on pop culture further elevates the brand’s opportunity to connect with fandoms within music and sports.”

Last week, Snoop Dogg teamed up with up-and-coming rapper Scar Lip to share a remix of one of her tracks. The remix of “This Is New York” is called “This Is Cali,” and came shortly after Scar Lip shared the DMs of her asking Snoop to collaborate. Her message read, “Hey Snoop, I’m a big fan & love your music. I have a song called ‘This is New York,’ and wanted to know if you’d get on the remix.” Snoop replied, saying, “F*ck yes.” She later shared a screenshot of the two rappers FaceTiming, revealing that fans could expect to see the remix soon.

Mendeecess Harris Put Mother Up For Collateral During Drug Dealing Days

Anyone who watched Love & Hip Hop New York is familiar with Mendeecees and his wife Yandy Smith-Harris’s story. The pair became reality television icons when they first appeared in the franchise, albeit then, they were just dating. Their ups and downs were well-documented, but things took a turn when Mendeecees was sentenced to prison. Amid his fame on VH1, federal authorities locked in on Harris, charging him with drug trafficking. Later, Harris pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine and heroin.

He began his eight-year sentence at the top of 2016, and by 2020, he was once again a free man. Mendeecees visited Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay, where he reflected on engaging in street life. He also made a shocking admission when he shared that he once put his mother, Judy, “up for collateral.” Sharpe couldn’t believe it, but Mendeecees explained what happened.

Mendeecees Harris Didn’t Weigh The Seriousness Of His Decision

Judy Harris also starred in Love & Hip Hop alongside her son and daughter-in-law. She was known as a dedicated, yet often meddling mother who wanted the best for her son. “I was getting a bunch of keys, and they was like, ‘Well, you gotta show me where your mom live at, because if you run off on this, we can’t afford for you to run off,’” Harris recalled. “I had no intention of running off, so I was like, ‘I’ll show you.’”

Harris further stated that Judy didn’t know that occurred, and he never told anyone the story. He also informed Sharpe that because he never thought of scamming anyone, he wasn’t concerned about anything happening to his loved ones. Understandably, reactions to this revelation are still pouring in. The clip of the interview has been shared far and wide, and in each comment section, people are questioning how someone could add their mother’s name to their criminal activities.

A Better Life

Additionally, Mendeecees Harris declared he’s finished with that life, and is making better decisions for his family. “When I look back at the decisions I made now, I be like, “I can’t believe I’m still here.” The Club Shay Shay conversation is quite insightful, so watch more of the interview above.
