Nicki Minaj is currently making her way across North America on her Pink Friday 2 world tour, and stopped in Chicago for a set of shows today (April 24) and tomorrow. She’s joined by her husband Kenneth Petty, as well as her young son Papa Bear. While in town, the femcee opted to visit the Shedd Aquarium, undoubtedly giving her little one an unforgettable experience. Of course, Nicki and her family got the VIP experience. They went behind the scenes to meet a penguin, watched a fun animal presentation, and more.

She shared a few clips from the outing on Instagram yesterday, thanking aquarium staff for making their experience special. “Thank you to the amazing employees at the Aquarium in Chicago today. #PapaBear had a great time ,” she wrote.

In one of the clips, Nicki, Petty, and their son are seen approaching a penguin, who’s being held by a staff member. Papa Bear looked thrilled to get an up-close look at the animal, though he only ventured to put a single finger on it. Either way, his mother and other family members commended him for his bravery, and his father gave him a high five. It looks like they had a blast, and are making the most of their tour around the world.

While Nicki’s tour has gone off mostly without a hitch so far, she did recently run into a bit of trouble on her way to Montreal earlier this month. Due to flight delays and cancellations, her show started late, though attendees can agree it was still impressive. Nicki Minaj’s Husband, Kenneth Petty, Receives Judge’s Decision On Joining Her Abroad For “Pink Friday 2 World Tour”

Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, has gotten a judge’s permission to join her on the international leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, which will kick off later this month. In a filing to the court, Petty argued he needed to accompany the family for “various purposes, including childcare.” The two share a 3-year-old son.

“Defendant Kenneth Petty (‘Mr. Petty’), by and through counsel, hereby applies to the Court for an Order allowing him to travel out of the country with his family for his wife’s tour and her professional purposes,” the filing reads, as shared by Meghann Cuniff. “Mr. Petty and Mrs. Petty believe Mr. Petty is necessary to accompany the family on the tour for various purposes, including childcare. The anticipated travel schedule begins on April 17, 2024, and continues periodically to July 14, 2024. The travel schedule calls for travel to several countries including Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Austria, Ireland, Switzerland, and Romania. The Government has been notified about this application and takes no position. Mr. Petty’s probation officer has been notified of this application and has no objection to the travel request.”

Los Angeles Judge Michael Fitzgerald approved the request on Tuesday. Petty will have to supply his probation officer with the exact details of his travel arrangements and return to Los Angeles as soon as the tour concludes in July. The drama stems from Petty being a registered sex offender for the 1994 rape of Jennifer Hough, who was 16 years old at the time. Additionally, he was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest in 2023 for threatening Offset.

Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Gets Travel Request Approved For “Pink Friday 2” Tour

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty asked a judge for permission to travel with her on her Pink Friday 2 world tour. Petty, who is a convicted sex offender, previously failed to register in Los Angeles after relocating to be near Nicki. As a result, he’s on probation, meaning that he can’t travel outside of the U.S. freely.

In his request, Petty claimed that he’d be accompanying Nicki on tour for “various purposes, including childcare.” Luckily for him, and he and Nicki’s son Papa Bear, it looks like things are looking up. Today, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald approved his request, meaning that he’ll be able to take part in all of the Pink Friday 2 fun with the rest of his family.

In his filing, Petty claimed that his probation officer “does not oppose” the Queens native traveling with Nicki. He previously asked that the filing be kept secret, but that request was rejected. Currently, Nicki is scheduled to perform in various cities across the U.S. and Canada before heading to Europe in May.

While Petty’s travel request is no longer an issue for the high-profile pair, it’s not the only obstacle they’re facing. Last month, it was reported that a judge had granted their alleged assault victim a default judgment, meaning that they owe the security guard roughly $500K. Nicki Minaj’s Husband Seeks Travel Permission From Federal Judge

Nicki Minaj wants to make the Pink Friday 2 tour a family affair. The “Super Freaky Girl” rapper will be traveling to different parts of the world to promote her new album, but the same cannot be currently said for her husband. Kenneth Petty’s failure to register as a sex offender in Los Angeles has led to him being placed on probation. As a result, he’s prohibited from traveling outside of the country. This prohibition is something Minaj and Petty hope to overturn.

According to Washington Post writer Meghann Cuniff, Petty is seeking permission to travel outside of the United States. Cuniff broke the news on X (formerly X), along with a photo of Petty’s documentation. This request comes less than a year after Petty’s last controversy. Parole violation paperwork stated that the registered sex offender was caught making “threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record.” The individual in question was Offset, and Petty was subsequently sentenced to 120 days house arrest.

Petty’s sex offender status has generated a lot of controversy for Nicki Minaj over the years. The rapper has had to defend her marriage to users online, and has made a point of keeping her personal life as private as possible. Minaj’s profile in Vogue is one of the only time she discusses Petty openly, and explains why they connected. “We make each other laugh. We’re silly,” she explained. “And we’re always reminiscing about some old story.” Minaj also revealed that Petty is one of the few people to call her by her legal name.

Cuniff reported that Petty’s probation officers are not opposed to the request. The prosecutors, meanwhile, are taking no position in the ruling either way. The proposed court order, which was written by Petty’s lawyer, states that Petty must be back in the U.S. by July 14, 2024. “At the conclusion of the travel, Mr. Petty must return to Los Angeles County and must check in with his probation officer upon returning,” the order reads. Nicki Minaj’s proposed travel schedule kicks off April 17, however, so the window for Petty to be cleared is relatively short. A ruling has not yet been by the judge.

Moreover, the two didn’t do much but stare into the camera and make some short comments here and there with each other in their arms. Of course, given Petty’s criminal history, many fans took to strong debate in the comments of the post below around how wholesome, awkward, happy, forced, or [insert reactionary adjective here] it was or wasn’t. Despite all the controversy, the Trinidadian MC’s yet to waver in her staunch support of, and constant online love for, her man.

Furthermore, more often than not, Kenneth Petty is by Nicki Minaj’s side during her many travels and escapades, including her current tour for Pink Friday 2, Instagram, etc. Most recently, they went to a New York Knicks game at which she gushed over meeting Ben Stiller there, sharing a clip of them together on the aforementioned social media platform. They also have Papa Bear, whose wholesome interactions and videos on the 41-year-old’s socials have captured fans’ hearts for years now. But as long as this keeps up with no change, and there’s no accountability or acknowledgement of aggression in how they’ve handled his legal reckoning, a sub-sect of fans will always be there to call them out.

Elsewhere, though, Nicki Minaj is having too good of a time these days to have to worry about this aspect as much as she did when the Megan Thee Stallion beef explosively kicked off earlier this year. Along with the PF2 tour, it seems like she has some cool releases slated for 2024, including a possible “FTCU” remix with Sexyy Red. There are no plans for the Barbz to slow down this year, and it’s at least nice to see that the Young Money alum has the time to spend time with her husband. After all, dealing with these criticisms and accusations is enough on one’s plate without being a superstar.

Meanwhile, we can’t help but wonder if she will address another one of her big headline topics: her supposed Cardi B beef, which GloRilla said they should call a truce over on her latest mixtape. Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Updates Sex Offender Registry Photo

Recently, Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty posed for a new photo for the sex offender registry, as his house arrest just ended. The updated photo, available on the sex offender site Megan’s Law, shows the 45-year-old wearing a denim button-up over a white t-shirt. As one would expect, he looks pretty serious in the photo, as his alleged crimes are certainly no laughing matter.

Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape of a 16-year-old girl in 1994. He served roughly four years behind bars for it. He was also 16 at the time of the alleged incident. Petty was later required to register as a sex offender. In 2020, he was indicted for failing to register after moving to California to be with Nicki. This was discovered when he was pulled over in November, arrested, and subsequently released on $20K bail.

Nicki has continued to defend Petty, who’s also the father of their son Papa Bear, over the years. In November, she insisted that he was wrongfully accused. The femcee even claimed that the alleged victim was looking to recant her claims. “When the alleged accuser wrote a letter to the judge asking to recant the statements she was told that she would go to jail for 90 days, allegedly, if she recants the statement,” she told Queen Radio listeners.

This isn’t the only legal drama Nicki and her man are involved in as of late, however. Last month, it was reported that a former security guard who accused the couple of assaulting them backstage at a concert was awarded a default judgment in his case. Nicki Minaj And Her Husband Kenneth Petty Were Reportedly Ordered To Pay $500,000 For An Alleged Assault Of A Security Guard

Nicki Minaj is currently earning millions of dollars on the road as part of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour, but it looks like she’s going to have to fork some over. The “Barbie Dangerous” rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, have reportedly received a hefty bill from the Los Angeles courts.

According to Rolling Stone, on Friday, March 22, the couple was ordered to pay $500,000 to a former security guard who worked one of Minaj’s concerts. The former venue staffer, Thomas Weidenmuller, alleged that while on staff for Minaj’s 2019 show in Frankfurt, Germany, he was viciously assaulted by Petty.

The supposed incident, which reportedly resulted in Weidenmuller’s broken jaw, took place backstage. In the original lawsuit’s documentation, Weidenmuller alleged Petty attacked him from behind, punching him in the face as retribution for Weidenmuller coming to the defense of his female colleague. Weidenmuller also claimed Minaj attempted to attack him by throwing a shoe but ultimately missed.

Weidenmuller initially sought $721,000 in restitution ($21,000 to cover medical bills and $700,000 for his ongoing injury and emotional pain and suffering). However, the presiding judge landed on $503,318. Minaj and Petty’s non-response to Weidenmuller’s suit led to the default judgment.

The catalyst for the incident allegedly stemmed from a fan breaching the stage as Minaj performed.

Former security guard Thomas Weidenmüller accuses Nicki Minaj and her husband Kenneth Petty of assaulting him backstage at a concert in 2019, and now, he’s in for a huge payday. According to the alleged victim, the incident took place in Germany after a fan breached security and got onstage where Nicki was performing. Weidenmüller says that after the show, he was confronted by both Nicki and Petty, and the run-in left him in need of multiple surgeries.

He alleged that after Nicki “screamed obscenities” and threw at him, Petty behind him and hit him in the face. “Petty repositioned himself out of my eyesight and without warning struck me in the face,” his lawsuit reads. “Which stunned and disoriented me. Because of the surprise nature of the attack, I am not sure as to whether Petty hit me with his fist or with a weapon.” Weidenmüller claims the blow broke his jaw. He went on to sue the pair in 2022 for his medical expenses, emotional distress, and more.

Nicki and Petty ignored the suit, and sought a default judgment of $750K. At the time, the judge shot him down, but he was later allowed to seek a new judgment. Now, the couple must pay up, $500K to be exact, as they failed to address the lawsuit once again. “The pain I felt in the moment was far more extreme than any pain I had ever experienced in my life, or have felt since that day,” Weidenmüller says of the attack in his suit. “I felt a blinding pain in my head, neck, and face.”

According to her, he claims to be her biggest supporter, so the task should be no problem.

“You say you the biggest Barb so now you gotta finish the lyric,” she said right before rolling into “Pink Birthday.” Petty was able to finish the line, but unfortunately, he was just a tad off. “Lowkey ‘cuz we just that ill now, ain’t never had a…” she rhymed, with him adding, “Bad b*tch ’til now.”

Without any trace of hesitation, he completed the lyrics, spitting “Like Jill now.” Nicki seemed pretty impressed by Petty’s ability to recite most of her lyrics, ultimately deciding that he “won Nicki trivia.” It looks like Papa Bear’s dad might be a huge Barb after all.
