Usher’s Las Vegas residency has been a hot ticket all year. That became even more true when one of the biggest public dramas of this summer took place during one of his shows. The Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson dress drama caught first online and received responses from dozens of fellow celebs. The singer himself seems very much over it though and is fully ready to move on to other things. In more wholesome news, the city honored him recently for his contributions to the town. Las Vegas awarded him the key to the city while also naming October 17 Usher Raymond Day in the city.

Now yet another fellow celeb is proving that Usher’s show is exciting for everyone. Summer Walker recently stopped by the show and shared an adorable video. In the clip the two singers are sharing the mic taking on one of the R&B superstars classic songs. Fans zeroed in on just how excited and star-struck Summer looks in the clip. “She would’ve ate that song up if she wanted to,” one of the top comments on the post reads. Summer Walker is also revisiting some old beloved material. She has three new remixes of her song “Girls Need Love” coming soon. Usher has truly taken over Las Vegas. The superstar singer now reigns over Sin City every Oct. 17 as Mayor Carolyn G. Goodman proclaimed the date as Usher Raymond Day. In addition to the day, Usher received the key to the city.

“We honored @usher by giving him the key to the city and proclaiming Oct. 17 as Usher Raymond Day!” the Vegas Instagram post reads. The Grammy-award-winning global superstar will headline the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in Las Vegas on Feb. 11, 2024. #USHER first started his Las Vegas residency in 2021.”

After receiving the key to the city, Usher responded: “I just want to continue to be an amazing contribution to your amazing city. I do see opportunity here, and the belief that everything that’s in my mind and that I’ve dreamed of is coming to life as a result of the city.”

Usher celebrated his 45th birthday in style with Rémy Martin. The star-studded event included special guests like Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Bryan Michael Cox, LA Reid, and many more.

In honor of Usher’s birthday, Rémy Martin presented him with a one-of-a-kind Jacquie Aiche custom Rémy Martin diamond-encrusted toothpick. The toothpick is inspired by Rémy Martin’s centaur symbol, signifying the enduring partnership between Usher and the brand. Throughout the night, Usher was spotted sporting this unique gift.

Guests at the celebration enjoyed a carefully curated selection of Rémy Martin XO and 1738 cocktails. Among the offerings was “The 1738 Halftime Spritz,” a delightful cocktail paying tribute to Usher and his upcoming game day performance. He is now also one of the 400 wealthiest people in America after the sale of the Charlotte Hornets franchise. Many celebrities also idolize the man and one of those is Usher. According to TMZ Sports, Jordan made an appearance at one of the R&B superstar’s recent Las Vegas shows that is a part of his residency. “We love you, Mike,” Usher shouted to him from the stage. To further cement how close these two are, the singer even wore the Jordan 3s he designed which are all gold.

Libra season seems to be a particularly busy time for celebrity birthdays. Stars like Cardi B, Doja Cat, Kim Kardashian, and Amber Rose are all turning another year older in the span of just a few days. Another name on the list of October-born creatives is Usher, who turns 45 today, the 14th. While he’s likely got big plans to turn up with his loved ones all weekend long, we’re commemorating the occasion by revisiting some of the R&B icon’s earliest hits.

Specifically, we’re spotlighting 1997’s “Nice & Slow,” which was produced by Jermaine Dupri and Manuel Seal. The song’s sensual lyrics find a young Usher crooning about getting intimate with the object of his affection. “Now here we are, driving round town / Contemplating where I’m gonna lay you down,” his voice shines on the second verse. Usher Returns to Top 10 of Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart for First Time in Seven Years

Usher is back in the spotlight, securing a top 10 position on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for the first time in seven years with his hit “Good Good,” featuring Summer Walker and 21 Savage.

According to Billboard, in the most recent tracking week (Sept. 29 – Oct. 5), “Good Good” saw 5.4 million official U.S. streams, marking a 1% increase from the previous week. The song also recorded 2,000 sales downloads, a notable 45% surge, propelling it to a new peak at No. 3 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. Furthermore, “Good Good” garnered 38.7 million total audience impressions in radio airplay, reflecting a significant 9% improvement from the previous frame.

“Good Good” retains its position at No. 1 on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for a second consecutive week, solidifying its status as the most-played song on U.S. monitored R&B/hip-hop radio stations, even with a minor 2% drop in plays.

Usher is getting ready to close an epic 2023 and get ready for a more grand 2024. With plans for the Super Bowl underway, Usher’s catalog is receiving a big boost.

According to Billboard, Usher’s music is rising in streams, with increases headed into the millions. Between Sunday’s announcement and Monday, Usher saw a 16% increase. His staple “Yeah!” also got 962,000 streams, while “My Boo” moved 527,000 streams. On Tidal, “You Make Me Wanna…” had a 55% jump.

With a Super Bowl performance on the way and an album loaded, Usher‘s 2024 is about to get crazy. The next announcement is reportedly a world tour.

According to Billboard, Usher is scheming on a global tour, his first in a decade. Usher’s team is reportedly working to secure locations worldwide to bring his live show.

Usher recently enjoyed a playful moment with Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union as he took his residency globally for a stay in France. His current set of dates is as the La Seine Musicale in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, and the power couple was in attendance.

As Usher reaches the point of his set where he serenades a woman, he approaches Union to sing but then hits a pause. “This is Dwyane Wade, I ain’t crazy! That man will knock my whole head off and then dunk it.”

The two laugh it off before Usher says, “So happy to see you.”

Right after performing “Ni**as In Paris” as a witty reference to that iconic Jay-Z and Kanye West track, he brought a Southern legend. “Bad and Boujee” began to play and out came Offset. In the video above from Usher’s Instagram, he is dancing and having a blast with him in front of the rabid fans.
