2 Chainz is getting ready to release his new album Welcome 2 Collegrove alongside Lil Wayne and revealed one of the guest features, Usher. Speaking with Apple Music 1, 2 Chainz couldn’t contain his excitement, revealing Usher was a feature while speaking on the excitement for the ATLien’s forthcoming Super Bowl performance.

“I’m excited for Usher, man,” 2 Chainz said to Zane Lowe. “He’s a great entertainer. I was able to catch his show out in Vegas with my wife. I was highly entertained. I suggest anybody who had a chance to see it and check it out, because I know the Super Bowl won’t be, they won’t give him as much time as his show out in Vegas to see the whole show. But, he’s a great entertainer.

“I think it’s well deserved. He’s actually an artist that’s featured on the project with me and Wayne, so I’m excited for people to hear that. And it’s just divine timing.”

50 Cent And Rémy Martin Reached A Settlement In Their Bottle Design Dispute

50 Cent‘s Sire Spirits brand and E. Rémy Martin & Co. have reached a settlement in Rémy Martin’s lawsuit over a copied bottled design. According to Billboard, the two companies reached a “confidential” settlement agreement on June 1 to drop the suit; details about payments or rebranding requirements have not been made public.

E. Rémy Martin & Co. sued Sire Spirits in 2021, claiming that the bottle design for the Sire cognac brand Branson had illegally imitated Rémy’s XO bottle, infringing on patent and trade dress rights. Sire’s response was to call the case “meritless” and accuse the legacy brand of trying to “destroy a competitor.” The Branson bottle was accused of being a deliberate effort to confuse consumers with its similar design.

However, US District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein denied Sire’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit, saying, “This is not a case in which the claimed and accused designs are so plainly dissimilar that it is implausible that an ordinary observer would confuse them.”

A Rémy spokesperson told Billboard, “Rémy appreciates and respects Mr. Jackson’s entry into the Cognac market and the parties share a common vision for the future of this exceptional and precious spirit. The parties are gratified that this matter could be resolved amicably.”

Although a settlement might not be the outcome 50 Cent hoped for, he’s already been on a bit of a winning streak in court and probably didn’t want to push his luck — or pay out more legal fees. In February, he reached a settlement in his defamation lawsuit against The Shade Room, while in March, he won a lawsuit against a former employee who allegedly embezzled millions from Sire Spirits.

50 Cent’s Branson Cognac Finally Reaches Settlement In Remy Martin Lawsuit: Report

50 Cent and Remy Martin’s feud has finally come to an end. The famed alcohol brand filed a lawsuit against 50 Cent’s cognac brand Branson in 2021 over the design of its bottle. Apparently, Remy Martin felt as though the 50 Cent-branded cognac stole the design of their bottle from them. The jewel-shaped glass bottle became a point of contention, leading the two brands to duke it out in court. However, per Billboard, they’ve finally put their issues behind them.

On June 1st, 50 Cent’s company and Remy Martin reached an agreement. However, both parties asked the court to keep the details of their settlement under seal. Reps for Remy Martin said that they were happy they were able to resolve the trademark dispute. Although Branson cognac might be direct competition to Remy Martin, the legendary brand said that they have respect for 50 Cent’s efforts in the alcohol market. Surprisingly, 50 Cent hasn’t chimed in on the matter publicly.

The issues between Fif and Remy Martin began in 2021 when the alcohol brand filed a suit against Fif’s Sire Spirits. They claimed that the design of Branson Cognac, which shares similarities to Remy Martin, could cause confusion in the market, especially since the distinct design has been associated with their brand. “Defendants have willfully and blatantly designed their bottle to unfairly capitalize on the goodwill and reputation that Plaintiff’s bottle has achieved and to unabashedly profit from its bad faith infringement,” they said in the suit.

In response, 50 Cent and his attorneys attempted to convince the judge to dismiss the case. They accused Remy Martin of trying to monopolize the market and “eliminate” competition. “This is a naked effort to use meritless litigation to financially destroy a competitor,” the attorneys for Sire Spirits wrote. “Remy Martin must be stopped and the claims against Sire Spirits should not be allowed to survive.” Despite the pleas, U.S. District Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein denied the attempt to dismiss the case, claiming, “this is not a case in which the claimed and accused designs are so plainly dissimilar that it is implausible that an ordinary observer would confuse them.”
