Charlamagne Tha God Explains How Diddy Raids Were Sad To Watch

Charlamagne Tha God has been commenting on matters involving music and pop culture for decades. Overall, he is the most popular host on The Breakfast Club, and fans are always interested in what he has to say about a given topic. These days, the topic that is at the top of everyone’s mind just so happens to involve Diddy. Last week, he had his homes in Miami and Los Angeles raided. This was a massive story, although at this time, Diddy is not being charged with anything, and he has not been arrested. Regardless, fans are curious about what is going to happen.

During the most recent episode of The Brilliant Idiots podcast with Charlamagne and Andrew Schulz, the topic of Diddy was brought up almost immediately. As Charlamagne Tha God explained, the entire situation makes him very sad. Even just watching the raid, the radio host was upset by the visuals on his screen. “This is a fucking raid,” Charlamagne noted. “I don’t know, man, I just don’t like it. I don’t like it because it’s sad. How many peoples’ legacies have we watched burn to the ground? From Russell Simmons, Diddy …”

Charlamagne Tha God Talks Diddy

In his eyes, it hurts to see people you’ve connected with culturally, have their legacies torn down. He felt the same way about Ye, and he also feels that way about Bill Cosby. “It’s just one emotion? Y’all all lying to yourselves if you say, ‘Yeah good for them, fuck them!’ These guys fucking provided the soundtrack to our lives. They contributed to the culture in real ways before we knew any of this shit … You have feelings, you have mixed emotions,” Charlamagne explained.

Let us know what you think of Charlamagne Tha God and his take on Diddy, in the comments section below. Do you agree that the whole situation is sad? Do you think Diddy will be able to survive this entire situation? Is his legacy ruined? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Busta Rhymes Wants A Truce With Charlamagne Tha God

In a surprising turn of events, Busta Rhymes made a pitstop at The Breakfast Club for an appearance on the iconic hip-hop morning show. He came ready to call a truce with none other than Charlamagne Tha God. While DJ Envy took the reins in moderating the conversation, Charlamagne was MIA, reportedly grounded due to a missed flight. “Charlamagne, you gon’ make this up to me, now,” Busta said during the interview. He was clearly disappointed at the missed opportunity for an on-air truce. “I’ve waited a long time to sit up here with Charlamagne. I love Charlamagne, but I needed to sit down with him up here.”

Undeterred by the absence of his co-host, Busta Rhymes emphasized the completion of the moment. He asserted that the beauty of the encounter transcended Charlamagne’s physical presence. “It should’ve been complete, but y’know the beautiful thing is it is complete, even without Charlamagne,” Busta reflected.

He extended a message directly to Charlamagne, a challenge and an olive branch. “You gon’ pull your a** up, Charlamagne, and we gon’ get into this building session. I’ma make sure that we are both available when you get back so we can do our building session, Charlamagne…and you travel back safely, king.” In a similar sentiment, as HNHH previously reported, Charlamagne Tha God also expressed remorse over disparaging remarks he made a decade ago. He acknowledged the regrettable comments that ignited a feud with Busta Rhymes. This signals a potential shift in their dynamic, hinting at the possibility of reconciliation and a more mature understanding between these two titans of hip-hop.

This unexpected visit left fans eagerly anticipating the much-anticipated dialogue between Busta Rhymes and Charlamagne Tha God. It was a conversation that had the potential to transcend the airwaves and resonate throughout the hip-hop community. One can’t help but wonder what revelations, reconciliations, and wisdom these two legends will exchange when they finally come face-to-face. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on HNHH!

Usher “Terrorist” Comments Continue As Charlamagne Calls R&B Star Out For Flirting With Multiple Women

Usher has a woman in his life – Jennifer Goicoechea – who he loves very much, but that hasn’t stopped from the “Yeah!” singer letting his playboy antics run the show during his Las Vegas residency. When Keke Palmer sat in the audience, she and the R&B icon broke the internet as he sultrily serenaded her, much to the starlet’s baby daddy’s dismay. Thankfully, she and Darius Jackson managed to navigate their issues and continue raising their young son, Leodis, together. Usher, however, hasn’t stopped singing to other people’s partners while on stage, causing him to be put on blast by Charlamagne Tha God during a recent episode of The Breakfast Club.

“Let me tell you how much of a terrorist Usher is,” the Brilliant Idiots host told listeners. “He went from my wife to Doja Cat, who was clearly there with a guy,” Charlamagne explained. Seeing as the Scarlet artist has been dating J. Cyrus on the low for some time now, our bet is that she attended the concert with him. “He didn’t care,” the radio host noted of Usher’s nonchalance towards the men in the room. “Then, Jessica Alba was sitting behind me. He went and started singing to her, she’s married!”

Usher Put on Blast by Charlamagne Tha God

Where the Texas-born recording artist drew the line, it seems, was with Jennifer Lopez. “Then he had the nerve to look at her and say, ‘I don’t want no smoke with Ben Affleck.’ Well what you want smoke with me for Usher?!” Tha God openly pondered. “He think you soft,” co-host DJ Envy suggested to his friend.

Interestingly, Charlamagne Tha God putting Usher on blast comes not so long after another media personality dragged his name through the mud. Earlier this week, Funk Flex seemingly implicated The Breakfast Club host in DJ Envy’s real estate fraud scandal. Yung Miami has responded to Charlamagne’s criticism of the BET Hip Hop Awards for honoring Caresha Please in the Best Hip-Hop Platform category. It’s her second year in a row taking home the award. Charlamagne complained about the decision on his own nominated show, The Breakfast Club, the next morning. “We gotta stop. Salute to Caresha. I love Yung Miami to death, but come on now. Two years in a row?” Charlamagne said. “I got mad love for Caresha but you’ve got platforms that come out daily, and you’ve got platforms that come out weekly.” In response to the complaint making it to The Neighborhood Talk’s Instagram page, Miami wrote back: “YALL LEAVE ME TF ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

On a separate Neighborhood Talk post after Tuesday, Miami wrote: “Damn y’all hate me bad but God keep blessing me.” In addition to numerous fans speaking out as well as Charlamagne, Drink Champs host N.O.R.E. questioned the decision as well. “So nobody gonna say nothing bout the podcast /media award? Charlamagne Tha God Defends Drake Amid “For All The Dogs” Backlash

Charlamagne Tha God came to Drake’s defense during the latest episode of The Breakfast Club amid backlash to his new album, For All The Dogs. Charlamagne says the project is on the same level as all of Drake’s other work in recent years, leaving him confused as to the negative response.

“I do think the criticism is slightly unfair though because this is the same Drake music that he’s been putting out for at least the last five, six years” he began. “What’s the difference between this album and the album with 21 that he dropped last year.” From there, DJ Envy argued that it’s a difference of opinion by generations with younger fans liking the project.

Afterward, Charlamagne continued: “By the way, he’s not going through anything that no artist of his stature has not gone through. Not even an artist of his stature, anybody who’s been in the position that he’s been in consistently winning for so long, there’s always a point in time where people get tired of seeing you win. So they take any opportunity because this album is not as bad as y’all making it out to be.”

Perhaps the most vocal voice to criticize Drake’s newest album is Joe Budden. After Budden accused him of “rapping for the children,” Drake fired back in a fiery Instagram post calling him a failed rapper. He wrote: “@joebudden you have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success… a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…”

Charlamagne Tha God Weighs In On Drake’s Feud With Joe Budden

Charlamagne Tha God says that fans hold Drake to a higher standard than other artists and compared him to LeBron James. The radio host spoke about the expectations for Drake’s new album, For All The Dogs, while discussing his feud with Joe Budden on Monday morning.

“I was watching some of the criticism of Drake’s album this weekend,” Charlamange began. “I don’t know if it’s the fairest, but he is held to a different standard because of the high levels– I mean, the reality of the high levels of criticism that he gets is it comes with the territory of the rare air that he’s in. It feels very reminiscent of LeBron critique. Like, I think folks want Drake to be JAY-Z just like they want Bron to be Jordan and we’ll never truly appreciate either one of them if we keep comparing them to those individuals. So, it’s the ultimate compliment to be mentioned and compared to those icons but it’s an impossible hurdle to overcome.”

The feud between Drake and Budden began while Budden was sharing his negative feelings on For All The Dogs, last week. “He rappin’ for the children. Yo dog, I had to look up how old this n—a was when I finished listening to the album,” Budden complained. “You are 36. Your birthday is in 20 days. I Googled that, too. You’re going to be 37 years old. Get the f— away from some of these younger n—as. And stop f—ing these 25-year-olds.” Check out Charlamagne’s comments on the feud below.

Charlamagne Tha God Trashes Colin Kaepernick’s Letter To The Jets

Charlamagne Tha God didn’t hold back while discussing the letter Colin Kaepernick recently sent to the New York Jets. “I wish that letter was never written. That letter was tragically sad and downright pathetic. Colin Kaepernick has let his setback become his identity, and I hate that for him. It pains to see that man still begging to be in a league that he called racist and he compared to a plantation. And I hate that he can never speak for himself. He always got somebody else speaking for him or putting out his message for him. That’s so wack to me. I wish Colin the best in all his endeavors but just begging these same people you called racist for an opportunity is pitiful,” Charlamagne said on The Breakfast Club.

Kaepernick wrote a letter to the front office of the Jets following the season-ending injury suffered by Aaron Rodgers. The Jets ultimately chose to sign Trevor Siemian and Kaepernick’s letter was published by J. Cole on Instagram. Kaepernick has not played a snap in the NFL since he left the 49ers following the 2016 season. Despite being one of the league’s most electric QBs, Kaepernick was iced out of the league for taking a stand against systemic and institutional racism.

Charlamagne Feuds With Drake

However, Kaepernick isn’t the only one who has been the target of Charlamagne’s ire lately. Drake also found himself in the firing line as the radio host took aim at the rapper’s latest single. “Drake put out a song last Friday and nobody cared,” he says in a clip from the show. “It came out last Friday and people just started talking about the lyrics. That’s not Drake-like. He’s gonna be fine, regardless. I think we was looking for something a little more harder, a little more aggressive than this slow joint with SZA,” Charlamagne said of “Slime You Out”.

Drake hit back, finally breaking his silence after years of shots from Charlamagne. “Are you ok Leonard?? You kinda weirding me out g. Like you really obsessed with me or something for years like you look in the mirror and wish you saw my reflection type shit. Whatever you gotta do to let it out I’m sure your 435 loyal fans will stand by you ya fucking goof.” However, Charlamagne was unperturbed. He went on to claim he was “part of the album rollout” and joked that the beef was staged after “Slime You Out” hit #1.

Charlamagne Tha God Clarifies That K. Michelle Isn’t Banned From “Breakfast Club”

During a recent appearance on The Shade Room, singer K. Michelle claimed that she was banned from The Breakfast Club and the Sony building entirely. As a part of her statement she also included details about how Michael Jackson and DMX had also reportedly been banned from the building. That revelation left fans pouring through various appearances she had made on the show in the past looking for an explanation. Subsequently in a new episode, Charlamagne Tha God is responding.

One thing he does agree with is that Michael Jackson did have unrelated issues with Sony. But he denies pretty much everything else, both the allegations that DMX was banned during his life and that K. Michelle wasn’t allowed. Charlamagne clarifies that Michelle is “Welcomed on the breakfast club anytime.” Significantly, one thing he doesn’t mention is the reported issues between Michelle and co-host Angela Yee. Consequently their beef dates all the way back to a 2016 appearance on the show where Michelle confronted Angela. Check out Charlamagne Tha God’s response below.

K. Michelle Is Welcome On “The Breakfast Club”

Fans in the comments has strong reactions to the whole situation, many of which took issue with Angela Yee’s role in everything. “NEVER been an Angela Yee fan” reads one of the top comments. “She was banned because of Yee messy ass,” another agrees. But not all of the comments took the same tone. “I love Yee, that wasn’t Yee fault. Plus Yee is truly for her peoples,” an entirely different comment expresses.

Charlamagne Tha God is often dealing in controversy. Earlier this month fans rolled their eyes when he asked Yo Gotti exactly how far he was from the streets. The clip went viral even though there didn’t seem to be any bad blood between them in the moment. What do you think of Charlamagne Tha God’s response to K. Michelle claiming she was banned from The Breakfast Club? Let us know in the comment section below.

Charlamagne Tha God Wants To Know How Far Yo Gotti Is From The Streets

In a new interview on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne and Yo Gotti are discussing inspiring those that follow them. Last month, Gotti met the 1st lady on the White House front lawn and that interaction was core to the conversation. Gotti explains how seeing artists like Jay-Z start on the streets and go on to achieve great things and become impactful people inspired him to do the same thing. He also mentions that he aims to set others up with the same inspiration after watching the things he does. But it’s at the end of this conversation that Charlamagne Tha God asks a question that has gotten fans’ attention.

“How far removed are you from the streets” Charlamagne asks Yo Gotti. Gotti himself doesn’t seem to have much of a problem with the question and answers quickly. “All the way. Nah I’m all the way removed from the street 1000%.” Despite Gotti’s lack of issue with the question, many fans did raise their eyebrows at Charlamagne for asking it. “We need Charlemagne badge number. Asap,” reads one of the top comments on a repost of the interview. Elsewhere in the comments dozens of fans point out similar issues they have with asking someone that question.

Charlamagne Asks Yo Gotti Something Questionable

Just last night Yo Gotti dropped in on a new song. He and EST Gee linked up for a new track called “A MOMENT WITH GOTTI” which is serving as the second single for EST Gee’s new album. Just last week Gotti released his new Gangsta Grillz tape I Showed U So. The album featured guest verses from Moneybagg Yo and Rich Homie Quan.

Earlier this year Yo Gotti put up millions to help 42 Dugg get freed. After his release Dugg explained the harsh conditions that he faced behind bars adding even more meaning to Gotti’s drive for his release. Gotti is often making generous moves to various other rappers. What do you think of Charlamagne asking Yo Gotti how far he is from the streets? Let us know in the comment section below.

Ab-Soul Details Suicide Attempt: “I Got A Lot Of Work To Do Still”

One of the most prolific voices in Hip Hop, Ab-Soul, is opening up in a new interview with Charlamagne Tha God. Today (December 16), the Top Dawg Entertainment standout delivered Herbert, his first studio album in six years. The rollout to the project’s arrival has been fierce as Ab, a quiet figure in the industry, hopped from one outlet to the next to share more of his journey.

This week, he teased his intimate interview with Charlamagne. Deservingly, Ab boasted about his skills, but it wasn’t all about his lyrical abilities. It was suggested earlier this week that he may have endured a suicide attempt, and now, Ab is sharing more about the harrowing experience.

The Carson native said he was lost during this time, but the experience did help him rid himself of unhealthy habits.

“I did not get any brain damage, I jumped off a freeway overpass, man, it was about 50 feet.” He also added, “I think a car broke my fall. No brain damage. It’s God. That was, ‘Alright bro, now sit down and shut up. Take it all in. Relax. You blessed, man.’”

“I pretty much finished the album before I did what I did,” he said elsewhere. “How I’m choosing to take it is—and I’m not giving it credit—but it brought me down to a place where I needed to be as vulnerable as possible. And as soon as I said everything I needed to say, I jumped.”

Ab-Soul also recalled waking up on the ground and thinking, “F*cking idiot.” He added, “I woke up on the floor, bro. Yanked me up, I passed back out and woke up in the hospital.”

“I literally walked from my mom’s house. It was kinda cinematic, too. [I was] on Del Amo Boulevard, my street. The subconscious me was trying to make this cinematic. ‘Oh, he died in Del Amo! He was the king of Carson, oh my god!’ It was cinematic, you know what I’m saying?”

He also shared the effects of the attempt. Ab revealed he lost his teeth and is wearing a flipper.

“I ain’t even got my implants yet. My jaw’s fucked up, I got a lot of work to do still. My foot is completely reconstructed, all the way to my pelvis. Everything but my knee. It doesn’t even make sense that my knee wasn’t affected. My femur, everything was affected except my knee.”

Additionally, if his knee would have been injured, the rapper believes he wouldn’t be able to walk.

Herbert has already received rave reviews as fans and critics dissect the rapper’s ability to turn inward and express his truth as a wordsmith. We’re glad to see Ab is on the mend and in a better place. Stream Herbert by Ab-Soul above.
