Consequence & Chuck D Drop Off Thought-Provoking “What Has America Done”

Consequence and Chuck D are speaking out following the reelection of President Donald Trump with a conscious single, “What Has America Done.” According to The Source, both hip-hop greats gave a State of the Union address not too long ago, so they are making sure they are making their voices heard. The Queens native spoke about how the Black community needs to stick together and level up as much as possible. While instilling inspiration, he also kept it real that could lead to issues with one another. “The results of the 2024 Presidential Election are a reflection of who and where we are as a nation. Like it or not, especially if you’re African American, we must continue to pursue our equalities and make sure we do everything in our power to level the playing field as best we can. In doing so, we can forget where we’ve been and what it took to get where we are.”

Public Enemy’s Chuck D didn’t mince words either, adding, “Avatars like they’re the new Klan hoodies. The more things change, the more they stay the same!” “What Has America Done” isn’t an easy listen by any means. However, it sure sounds beautiful with its dramatic and thematic piano-led instrumental. Consequence dominates the verses, talking about how Black people constantly get the short end of the stick while other groups truly get to live the American dream. This single will land on Consequence’s deluxe of his most recent LP Nice Doing Business With You, which is out on November 22.

Erick The Architect Previews Deluxe Of Debut Solo Album Again With “Ca$hmere Tear$”

“CA$HMERE TEAR$” is a song dear to me,” Erick the Architect said in a statement (via Shore Fire Media). “It talks about New York City at a very specific time period during the late 90s and early 2000s. Way before my city was heavily gentrified, New York had a cadence and rhythm that really personified the city as one of the most influential places in the world. Growing up, I learned to rap because of my surroundings, which then led me to becoming a musician. New York City is entirely responsible for all of the success I’ve received over these years, and I couldn’t be more grateful.” This is the Flatbush Zombies rapper’s feelings and explanation about his new single, and the second preview of an upcoming extended version of his solo debut album.

In February, Erick the Architect would go on to drop one of the now most under-appreciated records of 2024 in I’ve Never Been Here Before. It’s a tremendous mixture of sounds, textures, and performances from the versatile talent and it gave any doubters proof of what he could do away from his Flatbush brethren. There are lots of tracks that we keep in our rotations, including “Ezekiel’s Wheel,” “2-3 Zone,” and “Shook Up.” Erick has clearly seen the positive reception because he’s going to be adding to on November 15. I’ve Never Been Here Before: The Director’s Cut will have five new cuts with his love letter to New York in “CA$HMERE TEAR$,” as well as the equally excellent “Beverly Drive” included in that mix. Eminem Announces An Expanded Edition Of “The Death Of Slim Shady” With Comedic Trailer

Eminem is not done feeding his Stans in 2024. In a new Instagram post just moments ago, the Detroit legend has just announced an expanded edition of The Death of Slim Shady. Like with the rest of the album’s roll out, the “Houdini” MC is revealing this news via a trailer. It kicks off with the 51-year-old walking calmly and confidently into a lonely beer and wine convenient store. While strolling past the cashier, played by The Alchemist, he heads directly to the refrigerated section in the back. He takes out a half gallon of whole milk, slices it open, and leaves it to leak all over the floor.

The camera zooms in on the carton to reveal a missing poster with Slim Shady being the man on the run. In it, he’s wearing the exact same Jason Voorhees-inspired hockey mask he donned in the music video for “Tobey”. Eminem then exits the store and while leaving, Uncle Al jumps over the counter to yell at him. “Get the f*** out of here! Don’t come back!”. Then, the camera locks onto a surveillance monitor and you can hear the producer hilariously mumble, “They don’t pay me enough for this s***”.

After that, the feed cuts out to show the title of Eminem’s recent album, followed by “EXPANDED MOURNER’S EDITION”. So, yes, after some speculation and hints along the way, we are officially receiving a deluxe of this project. Fans won’t have to wait too long for it either. Playing into the whole murderer theme, it’s coming out on Friday the 13th, which in this case is this Friday, September 13. “MISSING: SLIM SHADY Have you seen him? #TheDeathOfSlimShady Expanded Mourner’s Edition drops this Friday the 13th…”, Em captioned the post. No details are known about tracks or features, but this weekend just got a whole lot more eventful.

Victoria Monet & USHER Are Ready For Action On “SOS (Sex On Sight)”

Victoria Monet and USHER are really laying it down in a hot and heavy manner on their new single, “SOS (Sex on Sight)”. This track belongs to the former of the two artists and it’s one she’s been teasing for a little over a week. On the 20th, the Atlanta Georgia native would go on to announce the release date and title of the track on her Instagram in a brief video in which she also teased the beginning of the audio, too. Then, on August 22, Monet was creating quite a lot of buzz within her fan base, hinting that a feature would be on “SOS”.

““SOS” = SEX ON SIGHT!!! Who do you think the feature is? tag them”. Finally, a day later, USHER would go to be revealed as the guest artist, which marks their first collaboration together now. This song sees one of the current R&B stars work alongside a true legend of the genre in a cool mixture of eras. “SOS” shows that in the production department, especially, thanks to the slow-mo/sensual vibe. It feels like something from the early 2000s, but it has more modern touches, too. That can be attributed to the groovy and funky bass lines, shimmering synth passages, and celebratory horn sections. Monet has been in this sonic fixation on her past two projects, but it’s been working, and it is here on “SOS (Sex on Sight)”.

About seven days ago, Nicki Minaj decided to drop a bombshell on X. “PF2 #GagCityReloaded – the album”. That simple announcement was enough to rile up the entire legion of Barbz, as this sort of came out of nowhere. Apparently, her revealing the Gag City Reloaded tour was step one of the plans because now we are getting new music to accompany this new leg of her massive Pink Friday 2 trek. Then, phase three would occur in the evening of the aforementioned tweet. Nicki Minaj hopped on a 45-minute Instagram Live to talk about this new deluxe edition, and tease some collaborations in the process.

However, at the time, she was not able to give any sort of concrete details about this third bonus version. “I will be doing a deluxe version of Pink Friday 2. It will be called Pink Friday 2 Gag City Reloaded. It’s going to be out soon. Do I have the exact dates for you? No. Is it coming out this week? No. But it’s coming”. Then, yesterday, part four of the rollout would see Nicki Minaj hype up a track that she claims will be the Barbz “favorite song on the deluxe”.

Yesterday, August 20, Nicki Minaj sent out a tweet that had the Barbz truly elated. “PF2 #GagCityReloaded – the album”. Yes, if two expanded editions of Pink Friday 2 weren’t enough for you, a third alternate version is on its way. However, we are currently being left in the dark about when it will release. That remains true today as well, according to AllHipHop. Nicki Minaj hopped on Instagram Live for about 45 minutes late last night with over 4,700 fans tuning in, presumably to hear any sort of extra news.

If that’s true, then the Queens, New York MC certainly fulfilled their wishes. As we said, she wasn’t able to give a drop date, but here are the words straight from the source. “I will be doing a deluxe version of Pink Friday 2. It will be called Pink Friday 2 Gag City Reloaded. It’s going to be out soon. Do I have the exact dates for you? No. Is it coming out this week? No. But it’s coming”. However, that was about the only disappointing part of the whole Live because she would go on to preview several tracks that could be on this deluxe.

However, it seems like the former won’t be on Gag City Reloaded as she was playing a version of Camila Cabello’s “HOT UPTOWN” with her on it that didn’t see the light of day. “I’m not on it but the song is out”. Later, Nicki would go on to play two, “Anxiety” and “Mamita”, with the latter having potentially multiple guests. Fans were enjoying the former and it turns out to be one of her favorites as well. “Isn’t that so beautiful”? Finally, for Juice WRLD, she’s really hoping she can get him on it. “It would be incredible for me I think to have Juice WRLD on this album. Because before he passed that’s what we were talking about. He recorded a bunch of stuff when he was in my studio, but I don’t like to exploit people, and people’s deaths and stuff like that”.

That’s where we stand.” Dust settling aside, this Doja Cat track was announced to promote Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo, the deluxe of her last record.

According to HipHopDX, fans were treated to this pleasant news by way of a trailer and sneak peek of “Masc.” The teaser features Doja Cat in silhouette, complemented with smooth videography, and a white backdrop with a shadow of the spider from the Scarlet cover. However, for a brief moment, there is another figure shown to us. The person appears for just long enough for us to decipher that it is almost certainly Teezo Touchdown.

Just yesterday, it was reported that she had some choice words for a ballet instructor. The teacher went viral on TikTok for voicing her frustrations about her students who have been blatantly disrespecting her. The 22-year-old also called out Sexyy Red for her poor influence on the five-year-old kids.

The St. Louis rapper told her f*** off, essentially and urged her to continue to play her music. It was not the best look for someone who clearly has an impression on a lot of the younger generation of girls.
