21 Savage Confirms Release Date And Reveals Cover Art For “American Dream” Album

21 Savage is finally making a full return to music. The 31-year-old rapper hailing from the UK will be delivering his third solo album, American Dream, this Friday, January 12. On January 8 reports came out that the project would be out this week, but now we have confirmation direct from the source. 21 was thrilled to announce this on his social media accounts just moments ago. “My 3rd Solo Album AMERICAN DREAM This Friday !!!!🇬🇧🇺🇸” This will be his first release since his arguably his best LP to date, i am > i was.

That was a little over five years ago and plenty of standout tracks such as “a lot” with J. Cole. In addition to the release date, we also have our hands on the cover art. You can see below that it has a vintage look to it. It shares some similarities to the Without Warning cover, with its wrinkles and hazy filter.

Of course, this project will assumedly have ties to 21 Savage’s upcoming film American Dream: The 21 Savage Story. It will be a biopic that details the life of one of the biggest rappers in the past 10 years. The highlights of the cast include Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino) and Stranger Things Caleb McLaughlin. A trailer dropped yesterday for the movie which revealed it will be out on July 4.

What are your initial thoughts on this confirmation announcement from 21 Savage about his new album American Dream? How much will this coincide with his upcoming biopic, American Dream: The 21 Savage Story? Could this be his best album to date? Who would you like to see featured on the record? What is getting your first listen, this or Kid Cudi’s INSANO? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. The Weeknd Vaguely Teases New Album

The Weeknd needs no introduction at this point in his storied career. Canada’s own has done it all and he is a true global icon. A lot of music die-hards saw the potential in him after he came through with his debut project House of Balloons, in 2011. He then turned it into a trilogy with Thursday and Echoes Of Silence. Nine years later, The Weeknd would begin his second series with After Hours. The dark R&B tracks paired with the 80s pop hits, saw him hint at the direction he would eventually take a full dive into with Dawn FM.

While it did not feature global hits, it was The Weeknd’s most consistent project to date. There are just solid tracks throughout like “Gasoline,” “Sacrifice,” “Take My Breath,” “Out of Time,” and so many others. That 2022 release just turned two yesterday, January 7. That would also be the day that Abel decided to announce the third album in this series.

He did so on his social media accounts with the caption, “3️⃣.” The Weeknd shared the After Hours and Dawn FM covers, with the third image showing only a question mark. Of course, this got his world-wide fanbase juiced. One person says, “I’m sobbing.” Another goes, “Crying and screaming!! Drop it babyyy XO.” So far, this is all we know about the tape, but let us just say we are just as excited as everyone else.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new announcement from The Weeknd about his new album? When do you think he will complete this trilogy? Do you think he will continue to stay within the 80’s pop lane? Or, will he revert to his contemporary R&B sound? What direction do you want to see him go? Out of the two albums in this series, which one do you like more? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Kid Cudi Voices His Frustrations With Juice WRLD’s Team After “INSANO” Collaboration Falls Through

In just about a week, Cleveland, Ohio rapper and singer Kid Cudi, will be dropping his 10th project, INSANO. Over the past couple of weeks, we have received some exciting updates on the details of the project. We have come to learn the feature list, producing credits, as well as the release date. Fans can expect the album to hit all streaming platforms on Friday, January 12, presumably at midnight. So far, quite a few singles have been rolled out.

Cudi put out a two-pack on Soundcloud, “ILL WHAT I BLEED/MOST AIN’T DENNIS.” We also got “PORSCHE TOPLESS,” as well as “AT THE PARTY” with two of several guests Travis Scott and Pharrell Williams. The hitmaker is also including Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Yachty, and ASAP Rocky. Juice WRLD was going to make the cut too. But, according to HipHopDX, it looks like that fell through.

Kid Cudi Calls Out Juice WRLD’s Estate, But Things Seem To Be OK?

Cudster put out a tweet that read, “Hey gang, so I never heard back from Juice team, they said we could use it on my album and they would use it on his, but his team went ghost when we reached out and its been months so it wont be on the deluxe. I tried but u know, whatever [shrugging emoji] not me.” However, the master hummer posted an Instagram story screenshot from Peter Jideonwo. He is Juice’s former manager but is still involved with his team.

Peter replied to Cudi, saying, “Song is cleared for @kidcudi but since it’s on the party never ends [Juice’s next album] it can’t come out till the release. It can be added to [Cudi’s] album after that happens since his album has to come out now.” He goes on, “No one is ignoring or not responding to him. He knows this information and that’s the deal.” The rapper was made aware of this by a random Twitter user and it seems all things are good now. Cudi writes back, “First me hearin this. Never was told it cant come out til his album does. Thats cool tho. We have answers. Power of a tweet.” So, maybe we will get it after all? We will have to wait and see.

Kid Cudi Unveils “INSANO” Producers: Pharrell, BNYX, Clams Casino & Many More

Kid Cudi’s next album INSANO is right around the corner, and we just got a whole lot more reasons to be very excited for it. Moreover, he decided to unveil the stacked list of producers he enlisted for this equally lengthy project on Twitter on Thursday (January 4). Set for a January 12 release date (in other words, about a week), this should be one of the biggest albums to kick off 2024 and one of the Cleveland native’s most highly teased and anticipated. Not everyone’s been a fan of the teased material, but you can’t deny that his closeness and dedication to his fanbase brings a genuine sincerity to his craft.

Nevertheless, let’s get into Kid Cudi’s wild producer list for INSANO, which hints at a variety of sounds. Some standouts: BNYX, Pharrell, WondaGurl, Clams Casino, Cubeatz, Take A Daytrip, Da Honorable C.N.O.T.E., sadpony, Dot Da Genius, Plain Pat, John Cunningham, Keyon Christ, and so many more. The “Show Out” creative, as such, will probably offer fans a wealth of styles and appeals when it comes to this record’s tracklist. Many of these producers feel pretty comfortable in a trap lane, but they will surely branch out and add their own special flair.

Kid Cudi’s Stacked INSANO Producer Lineup: Take A Look

“This talented group of individuals helped me execute something next level,” Kid Cudi further expressed on the social media platform. “I am so thankful to have worked w some really awesome folks, and next week u will all hear the magic we all created.” Fortunately, this once again steered his page into a more positive direction following a quick clap-back at a troll. Furthermore, they suggested that the 39-year-old wore a dress on Saturday Night Live because he’s a part of the Illuminati.

“Dear Issac u silly lil person and all people under this post,” he replied. “I got time for muthaf***as like u today. This post is mad f***in l*me of u and sad. A black man cant express himself and be confident AND successful with out it being some conspiracy. My success was givin to me by God with the help of my many angels. Lil Dicky Shoots His Shot With Rachel McAdams On “Mr. McAdams”

It was during late June of 2023 that Lil Dicky provided his fans with a massive update on his music career. Of course, the Pennsylvania native has been very busy with his hit television show on FX, Dave. It basically describes his life and how he wants to become one of the most successful rappers of all time. Because of the music industry elements, there are going to be some songs woven into the show.

However, Lil Dicky feels that the material is good enough to release as a full project’s worth. “It’s a really strong body of work that I’m super proud of. I was surprised when I took a step back and looked at the inventory of stuff that [has] made it into the show — ‘Oh, my God, there’s like a great album here of work that can live on its own.’” That is slowly becoming a reality because the soundtrack for Dave is on its way. It is going to be called Penith (The DAVE Soundtrack) and will be out on January 19.

Listen To “Mr. McAdams” By Lil Dicky

The lead single is out now for it is called “Mr. McAdams.” The music video includes scenes from some episodes of the show in which Rachel McAdams makes some guest appearances. Over time they develop some feelings for each other, hence the name of the song. The lyrics make quirky references to The Notebook in classic Lil Dicky fashion. Brad Pitt also makes a funny cameo in the video when he raps, “Maybe I’m your Brad Pitt / F*** Brad Pitt, don’t think about him.” This soundtrack will be Dicky’s first album in eight years.

What are your initial thoughts on this new single, “Mr. McAdams,” by Lil Dicky? Do you think he is a genuinely funny comedian/rapper? Or, does he come off corny in your opinion? After hearing the lead track for the soundtrack, will it be his best project? What Lil Dicky songs are still in your rotation? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. Playboi Carti New Album: What We Know So Far

It’s truly an exciting time to be a Playboi Carti fan, as it looks like a full-scale return is nigh. The widely successful Atlanta rapper and singer is due to release his long-awaited third studio album sometime in early 2024. The rapper has been mainly on the low since 2020. This came after the release of his last album, Whole Lotta Red. The stellar project included appearances from Kanye West, Kid Cudi, and Future.

In 2023, Playboi Carti appeared on Travis Scott’s “FE!N,” from the latter’s impressive album, Utopia. This week, Scott returned the favor by joining Carti on the promotional single, “Backr00ms” on New Year’s Day. Nonetheless, with the recent anticipation that some new Carti is on the way, here’s what we know about the upcoming project.

I AM MUSIC: The Return Of Playboi Carti

On December 7, the account @Opium_00puim, an affiliate of Playboy Carti sent out a post that caused a raucous. With a graphic display that read “I AM MUSIC,” and a caption that read “PREPARE,” fans were elated with the news. The punk-rap scene has since been on fire in the past few weeks. Playboi Carter released the new joint, “Different Day” a few days later. He soon followed that up by releasing the overnight sensation, “2024” on December 15.

On the 19th, we got another taste in the form of “H00DBYAIR,” his third new song of the month. “H00DBYAIR,” like its predecessors “2024” and “Different Day,” was released solely as a music video on the same account. Toward the end of the song, Playboi Carti announces the birth of his daughter, Yves. “I was 24 when I had lil’ Onyx (then I had a daughter; I got a daughter too), 27 when I had Yves/ Now I can finally sleep.

What To Expect: Tracklist And Features

Some of the rumors surrounding the project indicate that it will include punk and metal elements, though the extent of these influences remains unclear. However, in usual Playboi Carti fashion, the sound he’s helped to push into the mainstream will remain present in his upcoming work. Due to his absence for some time,  many fans are also, understandably looking forward to hearing his evolution. Furthermore, Carti’s recent festival performances have also been a highlight. Specifically, the inclusion of a live guitarist on the studio album will give an interesting twist to the entire project. His incredible Rolling Loud set in 2023 was one of Hip Hop’s most popular highlights of the year. Fans have jeered at the overall releases and excerpts, believing that fantastic things are on the way.

Besides “Backr00ms,” the following titles have been heavily speculated by fans and the media to be seen on the project:

  • “Rockstar”
  • “Pop Out”
  • “Killers”
  • Problem Child” (featuring Travis Scott)
  • “I’m Not Playing”
  • “Different Day”
  • “H00dByAir”
  • “2024″

As far as features go, Playboi Carti sure knows how to pick them. He posted a video on his Instagram Story over the Christmas weekend with former Fifth Harmony singer Camila Cabello. In the photo,  the pair were in the studio together. Carti captioned the photo “Baby Girl,” evidently drawing some attention as to whether the singer will be a featured act on the project.  Additionally, he sent an Opium chain to NBA Youngboy in June 2023, leading to speculation surrounding a potential collaboration.

The rapper also uploaded a picture of his chat with Vince Staples on social media. “Never forget what I told you way back when you were the one outta the youth just keep being yourself, they will catch up,” he wrote. Naturally, this has fueled the speculation that Staples might also be a featured act on the upcoming album. Other speculated artists are Jaden Smith, Travis Scott, Ye, and Opium artists, Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang.

When To Expect The New Playboi Carti Album?

Overall, no one knows when the upcoming album will be released. Some predict that the album might come sooner than later, and as early as January.  However, so far, all the fans can hold on hope to is speculation. After all, Playboi Carti, in his usual fashion, has always taken delight in his enigmatic nature. He usually keeps to himself and then surprises everyone with a release. The same thing happened with Die Lit, and then with A Whole Lotta Red. DJ Akademiks has further boosted the anticipation with an announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter. On December 7, he tweeted: “Playboi Carti’s album coming JANUARY! will be the greatest thing you ever heard.”

Boldy James & Nicholas Craven Announce Release Date For New Album

Boldy James and Nicholas Craven are kicking 2024 off with a bang with their new album, Penalty of Leadership. After many teases and a couple of singles, namely “Brand New Chanel Kicks” and “No Pun Intended,” producer Craven announced that the project will come out on Friday, January 12. As such, many die-hards and hip-hop heads in general think that this will be among the first amazing albums this year. It sounds magnificent up to this point, if the singles are any solid indication, which is unsurprising to witness from this duo. All we can hope for is that the material they’re saving for next week is even better than what they offered as appetizers.

Of course, a big reason behind this hype is the established collaborative chemistry between Boldy James and Nicholas Craven. Their 2022 full-length, Fair Exchange No Robbery, was one of the year’s most acclaimed releases, and holds a special place in both artists’ catalogs. In addition, they had previously linked up on the beatmaker’s Craven N 3 record, and are building on how well they fit each other’s styles. However, an important narrative part of Penalty of Leadership seems to be the Detroit MC’s car crash in early 2023, which this album’s recording, promotional artwork, and lyrical content seems to tackle.

Nicholas Craven Unveils Penalty Of Leadership Release Date With Boldy James

For example, Nicholas Craven had said on Twitter that “No Pun Intended” was the last song they recorded after Boldy James almost fully recovered from the accident, whereas “Brand New Chanel Kicks” was recorded shortly after the crash. The Montreal sonic wizard’s output without him was still great in 2023, including the Ransom collab EP Deleted Scenes 2. On the other hand, the “Disco Fever” spitter kicked the year off– much like he will in 2024– with the album Indiana Jones with RichGains, plus other EPs, singles, and features throughout. As such, we know that they’re by no means out of practice, and that they worked just as hard, if not harder, on Penalty of Leadership.

Meanwhile, we already know that this won’t be Bo’s only album this year. He just released the project 1LB (One Lucky Bastard) with Your Boy Posca, available exclusively via physical vinyl and cassette copies. Looks like it’s going to be another fantastic year for all the concreatures out there. For more news and the latest updates on Boldy James and Nicholas Craven, stay up to date on HNHH.

JPEGMAFIA Updates New Music Plans For 2024 With Fans

JPEGMAFIA started off the new year with a message to his loyal fans, who couldn’t be happier with his output in 2023. Moreover, his Danny Brown collab project SCARING THE H*ES is, for our money, the best rap album of last year, and they even dropped an expansion pack to add even more amazing songs to it. However, some fans expressed disappointment throughout the year when it appeared the Baltimore creative wouldn’t drop his other album that he promised fans in 2023. On Monday (January 1), he took to Twitter to explain to fans what happened, and to thank them for their patience that he looks forward to rewarding soon.

“Took a break for the holidays,” JPEGMAFIA’s Notes app message to fans began, which the “black enuff” lyricist apparently started writing half an hour before the clock struck midnight into 2024. “I’m finishing the album I was supposed to release this year. My plan actual plan for this album was to release it on January 1st. I was going to say nothing, and then do a fake apology on the 31st, and then surprise drop on the 1st today. But I always rush to finish things.

JPEGMAFIA Promises His New Album Is Coming In 2024

“I apologize to my fans i promised an album to this year, the album will be out 2024,” JPEGMAFIA continued. “I just have to keep working, to make it as best as possible for you. Happy holidays. To all the people in my life I love and that love me. & happy new year to all, even my enemies and their ugly a** kids and families. I will see you all next year.” What’s more is that the Black Ben Carson also reflected on his career history this year. For example, he re-released his 2013 mixtape The Ghost Pop Tape in its original version, plus a remastered edition.

Meanwhile, with the 34-year-old producing for various amazing artists, such as a recent credit on Armand Hammer’s new album, hopefully he keeps collaborating with other artists. He basically turns any song into his own whether he’s on the mic or behind the board, and seeing these fusions is always a thrill. Here’s to another top-tier and boundary-pushing album from Barrington Hendricks in 2024. For more news and the latest updates on JPEGMAFIA, stay posted on HNHH.

Playboi Carti & Travis Scott Dropping New Music Tonight

Playboi Carti’s Music is almost here, with an early January drop in the cards and various singles coming out on non-streaming social media platforms. Moreover, it seems like he didn’t want to waste any time in 2024, and is acting quite fast to get fans even more excited. To do so, the Atlanta native tapped one of the biggest artists working today, someone with whom he crafted one of the biggest songs of 2023. The “FE!N,” “Love Hurts,” and “Green & Purple” duo is back, as he and Travis Scott are apparently dropping new music tonight (Monday, January 1) at 9:30PM (time zone unclear). In a clip used to announce this, presumably one of the Whole Lotta Red stars onstage goons shouts out the good news.

Furthermore, this falls in line with previous hints of new music coming very soon from Playboi Carti’s producer, F1lthy. It seems like this confirms that was the case, even if the timeline that he set out wasn’t exactly how things ended up panning out. Still, there’s a lot of excitement for the rage pioneer to come through with another defining body of work, and it’s unclear what styles or sounds he will champion on this. Teases like “UR THE MOON,” “2024,” and “H00DBYAIR” sound less rage-heavy and more ethereal or rooted in typical trap.

Travis Scott & Playboi Carti Are Dropping Tonight

Of course, this isn’t all that’s contributing to this album cycle; after all, even Playboi Carti has to play the extracurricular game. In this case, it relates to relationship rumors, which are a bit concerning given his history with romantic trouble and alleged abuse and neglect in the past. Regardless, when the 28-year-old and Camila Cabello were spotted on a FaceTime call, people still went straight to the rumor mill to speculate. It’s certainly a very different headline that we’re not used to seeing with his rollouts.

Meanwhile, the “King Vamp” MC’s ex, Iggy Azalea, recently accused him of being an absent father again after he posted a clip of him with their son Onyx. A lot of drama surfaced around this in 2023, and hopefully 2024 brings better news regarding it. But what fans know for sure is that this year is finally going to end the drought for new Playboi Carti. For more news on him and the latest updates on Travis Scott, keep checking in with HNHH.

Lil Uzi Vert Seamlessly Blends Happiness And Heartache On “Red Moon”

Philly’s eclectic artist Lil Uzi Vert is ramping up the Luv Is Rage 3 rollout once again. Rumblings around the third installment of Uzi’s coveted series began with the initial YouTube release of “NFL” or “Never Fall in Luv back in late September. They have been riding out the rest of 2023 mainly on the release of Pink Tape. However, for a considerable amount of people, that project has fallen out of rotation for some of its big missteps.

With “Red Moon” though, this might be the one to get some people back in their camp moving forward. We covered the news of it dropping out of nowhere on Christmas (if you celebrate) on YouTube. It seems listeners are going crazy for it so far, as it is number 11 on trending for music. The view count is steadily climbing and within its first 18 hours, the video sits at over 650,000 views.

Listen To “Red Moon” By Lil Uzi Vert

Uzi is known to mix feelings of glee and sadness in their music and “Red Moon” is no different. The beat from a stacked list that includes TM88 and FNZ is progressive and dreamy. Uzi is rapping and singing about relationships that have been tearing them down. At the end of the video, they leave some thought-provoking messages. “If someone can be away from you, let them be. Its better to be alone than losing yourself for approval. Love isn’t real, but with my imagination, I can make anything real. LIR3.” The last bit means that this is most likely to find its way to Uzi’s rumored last album.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new single, “Red Moon,” by Lil Uzi Vert? Is this the best track that is presumably going to land on Luv Is Rage 3, why or why not? Do you think this is their best song they have put out all year? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest breaking news around Lil Uzi Vert.
