One of Detroit’s quasi-underground legends, Danny Brown, is just days away from making a tremendously-fast follow-up. The quirky and semi-comical rapper dropped an album-of-the-year contender with JPEGMAFIA in SCARING THE H**S. The zany rapping and in-your-face production were the keys to success for it on top of the awesome cover art.

Now, Danny is gearing up for one tape before the end of 2023. This will be the first time he has ever put out multiple projects in the same year. But, we are happy he is finally breaking tradition this time around. His new project, Quaranta, will be out on November 17. Danny has put one single out already, “Tantor,” which saw him tap into his familiar experimental bag.

Tory Lanez Reveals The “Alone At Prom” Deluxe Artwork

Tory Lanez’s Alone At Prom album is now almost two years old. The album has quite a few memorable tracks on it, despite being a genre switch-up for the rapper and singer. He has done plenty of R&B cuts before. Some listeners even prefer it when Tory goes into his auto-tuned crooning bag. However, this tracklist saw him go back in time with 80’s pop-sounding throwbacks. Ironically, it came out a little bit before The Weeknd’s full switch-up into that same lane. A great deal of people even thought Tory executed it better than his counterpart did with Dawn FM.

This is the perfect album for those late-night drives, or when you are in your feelings. The biggest highlight here is easily “The Color Violet.” Its addicting beat and atmospheric tone made it an instant hit. Not too long ago, Tory announced that the project would be getting some new tracks tacked onto it. He tweeted on November 6, “I Think .. Ashton’s Back #AloneAtPromDeluxe :)” Sure enough, the same day he made the official announcement on his Instagram. In that same post, he announced the visuals for “The Color Violet.” Now, we have the official artwork for the deluxe.

It features the same woman who was in the music video. If you take a look at the comments section, the fans were saying she was on the cover because she tragically passed away. All the people know is that her first name is Alexa and she passed due to a rumored drug overdose. It is a touching tribute to her for sure, as she was heavily involved with the visual aspects surrounding the album. Tory’s heartfelt caption reads, “Alexa I Told You, Your Legacy Would Live On Forever .. ” The expanded version is due to release on November 17.

Conway the Machine and Wun Two are ramping things up once again after the release of their single, “Brick by Brick,” two weeks ago. What we have come to discover is that it is the lead song for the rapper and producer’s upcoming collaboration project, PALERMO. The prolific New York MC has worked with tons of talented producers in the past. These past two tracks have been their first works together.

Interestingly, Conway has not promoted the record at all, but Wun Two has. If you go to the producer’s Instagram, he has a pinned post about it from October 26. The caption for it reads, “Today I have the pleasure to announce a new project with @whoisconway. Together we have a record coming with 10 wonderful tracks. The record is called ‘PALERMO.’ And will be released on ‘DECEMBER 22.’” He continues with a hilarious list of equipment used to record the record.

Lil Uzi Vert is one of the more elusive artists we have going in modern hip-hop. Even though they usually promise projects that they announce, they take quite a while before they see the light of day. It does sound greedy to say that, though. We did just get the Pink Tape a few months ago. However, with in-demand artists, most want them to drop as much as possible. Uzi cut a deal with his fans that if they got his last album to number one, they would drop another project this year. While that has not come to fruition just yet, there is still a chance it will happen.

At a recent show, Uzi took a timeout to send their love and appreciation to their committed and patient fans. Uproxx, came across a Twitter video from the concert on which the Philadelphia rapper was extremely blessed to have great fans. “As long as I got respect from y’all, that’s all that matters. You know how many people in this s*** used me, disrespected me, that stole my whole style when I never gave a f***? As long as I got y’all, we gonna keep this s*** going.”

It is great to see when fans respect an artist’s craft and hard work and Uzi wanted to be sure that their supporters knew that. In addition to that heartfelt thank you, they also shared a big update. “So, I’mma keep rocking for now, and Luv Is Rage 3 is on the way.” While there is no release date, we do have some intel on the project. They put out a single for the album on YouTube a little bit ago, titled “NFL.” It may take some time, seeing as the rapper has repeatedly mentioned they have been going through a lot of personal issues. Some of these may include their romance with the City Girls’ JT. We continue to wish Uzi the best and we cannot wait to hear what they have in store for us with the next installment of this iconic series.

Kevin Gates is riding high as of late and he is getting ready to continue that. Not too long ago, the Lousiana rapper announced that a new project was in the works. We got the first taste of the album with the lead single, “God Slippers.” While Gates did not announce the release date for the tape, we now have that information at our disposal. However, this could be tentative, as a great deal of artists like to relentlessly push back the date.

According to Genius, we can expect The Ceremony on December 1. In addition to that tidbit, it seems we have a tracklist as well. 17 songs are listed with just two features. Perhaps, that could change too, but for now, that is what we know. Ironically, Kevin has just dropped the song with those guests today. He has grabbed Sexyy Red and B.G. for the second single, “Yonce Freestyle.” This track comes in the wake of Gates teasing it on TikTok a couple of days ago. Fans were chomping at the bit for this to come to fruition and now its here.

One of the most anticipated releases of 2023 is about to drop next week. On Friday, November 17, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne are going to be releasing their sequel to their 2016 collaborative record, COLLEGROVE. It is crazy to think that it has been seven years since that album came out. But, the wait is nearly over and we are absolutely stoked to see what these two legends have to offer. It is clear that they still have plenty left in the tank. Lil Wayne has especially been on a tear as of late. He has come out with a precursor project with Tha Fix Before The VI.

Additionally, his feature game has been insane as well. “Brand New,” “Big Dog,” and “Never Die,” are just a few terrific examples of Weezy going back to his roots with his clever one-liners. Now, he and 2 Chainz are looking to bring that same energy and wordplay to Welcome 2 Collegrove. We already got “Presha” not too long ago and now we have one more coming on Friday, November 10.

2 Chainz Teases A New Single

2 Chainz tweeted out just over an hour ago while writing this, sharing a snippet of another single. The title of the track, “Long Story Short,” will of course have both him and Wayne on it. However, there looks to be one more rapper on it. Genius says it features another trap legend, Juicy J. Of course, this trio has given us classics in the past like, “Bandz A Make Her Dance.” Tity Boi dropped a teaser trailer for the accompanying music video, including some of Wayne’s bars.

Titled THE FIRST TIME, we are not exactly sure what the overall message of this will be. At this point, we are sure most of LAROI’s fans are just eager to have a new full album on their hands.

For some music purists, they might be a little annoyed with the way he has decided to do his rollout. LAROI, since early 2023, specifically January 27, has gone on to tease the project with seven singles. That is nearly half of the tracklist, with Genius showing 20 songs. But, again the fans of his probably do not care as much about that.

Chris Brown Drops One More Track Ahead Of “11:11” With “Nightmares” Featuring Byron Messia

Chirs Brown is one of the most prolific R&B crooners of this generation, if not the most. He drops albums fairly regularly and when he does they are massive listens. For example, his most recent offering, Breezy, was 24 songs and lasted over an hour and 20 minutes. But, it did not stop there.

A deluxe version came out, adding nine more cuts, extending the runtime to almost two hours. Finally, Chris Brown added one more extended edition on November 18 near the holiday season called, BREEZY – It’s Giving Christmas. It brought the final total to 35 songs with a listening experience lasting one hour and 56 minutes. Because of this, fans were saddened by the fact that 11 tracks were originally making the cut.

However, Brown decided to add another 11 songs. We already have some singles out for the project, with “Nightmares” being the most recent. Brown could possibly be taking this tape in a different direction based on what we have heard so far.

Tory Lanez Drops “The Color Violet” Visuals, Reveals Release Date For “Alone At Prom” Deluxe

Tory Lanez is obviously in the midst of serving his 10-year prison sentence after the Megan Thee Stallion debacle. However, he is as eager as ever to push out new material. Just moments ago, we found out that the Canadian rapper and singer sent out a tweet expressing this urge to get more music to his fans. The message simply read, “I Think .. Ashton’s Back #AloneAtPromDeluxe :)” At the time we did not have anything else to go off of. However, that all changed not too long after. Not even an hour ago, Tory posted a clip from a music video and another revealing note on his Instagram.

The visuals were for the music video for the Alone At Prom smash hit, “The Color Violet.” It currently sits at nearly 550 million streams on Spotify. It is a late-night cruising anthem that was a part of the 80s transformation that we saw seem to dip into on the record. Clearly, it is still resonating with listeners that Tory decided to put out a video for it nearly two years later.

In that same Instagram post that you can see above, Tory also unveiled the release date for the deluxe version of the 2021 album. “ALONE AT PROM DELUXE …NOVEMBER 17 ” It will be interesting to see how many more songs get added. “Hurts Me” has a chance to land on it too, especially with the sound of it.
