$uicideboy$ Tease Forthcoming LP With “Are You Going To See The Rose In The Vase, Or The Dust On The Table”

The $uicideboy$ have garnered quite the following over the years. The duo of Anthony Mars and Norman Atomic has been going strong since 2014 with a copious number of records and smash tracks to boot. For the Louisiana emo/horrorcore collective, they have not dropped an album since December 16, 2022. That was a collaboration project with Germ. But the $uicideboy$ will be making a solo return soon and they getting ready for it with “Are You Going to See the Rose in the Vase, or the Dust on the Table.”

This is now the second single for their 19th overall project. The first offering, “Us Vs. Them,” dropped back on March 29. The $uicideboy$ went for a grimy boom-bap vibe that sounded like something The Alchemist would craft in the studio. It has become an overnight sensation, already racking up nearly 16.5 million streams at the time of writing.

As for “Are You Going to See the Rose in the Vase, or the Dust on the Table,” it takes on more of a trap aesthetic. The cowbells and heavy bass have been combo that we have seen used more and more often. It works well here, as the $uicideboy$ rap about drugs, feeling lonely, and wondering if anyone is going to offer support. Their new album New World Depression is due on June 14 and will feature 13 tracks.

Russ Leaves Off Two Pack “That’s My Girl & Tired”

When it comes to new music Fridays, there is an artist that you can almost always count on to drop every week. That would be Secaucus, New Jersey rapper and singer, Russ. The polarizing veteran just continues to churn out song after song and beat after beat. For this latest offering, Russ is actually giving us a two-pack called “That’s My Girl & Tired.”

If you have been keeping your ears to the ground about his recent output, you know that he has been going for more personal tracks. Some have talked about messed up relationships, other have seen Russ speak passionately about not folding and letting the devil take over your life. This time around, the themes are quite different, while also sticking to the formula as of late. “That’s My Girl” is an obvious deviation from what we have heard, as he goes for a raunchy pop rap/R&B crossover.

On this cut he is loving the intimacy he is sharing with this woman and it does give us some pretty outlandish bars. “P***y got lips so of course I’m gonna kiss it (Mwah)… Is it shallow if I say I love the way you deepthroat me? (Haha) / We can use toys (Yeah), we on some grown s***” Then, on “Tired,” Russ is venting on the mic about things in life he is sick of dealing with or seeing in society. Every bar begins with “Tired of” before going into what he does not like. With this two-pack you are getting tongue in cheek and serious, so each side of Russ’ fan base should be happy with at least one of the two tracks.

03 Greedo Drops Off Two-Pack “Rico” With Maxo Kream Feature

Los Angeles, California rapper 03 Greedo is one of the grittier rappers from the West Coast as he thrives on dropping street bangers. Additionally, he is extremely hardworking, pumping single after single, and project after project. 2024 proves that point, as the veteran MC has already put out a handful of collaborations with artists like evilgiane for example. The amount of solo material has also been impressive, as he has dropped a project exclusively on Soundcloud called F*** EVERYBODY. Now, he is gearing up perhaps for another tape sometime in the near future. Not too long ago, 03 Greedo dropped a new single called “Rico” with a feature from Texas rapper Maxo Kream.

These two have a past work relationship that dates back to 2018. 03 and Maxo first teamed up for the former’s album Punken on “ATW.” Then, in 2019, they reunited for 03 and Kenny Beats collab tape Netflix & Deal for the song “Beg Your Pardon.” Their most recent output came just last year with “Buss Me A Script.”

Now, they are back with maybe their most entertaining effort yet with “Rico (R.I.C.O.).” The beat starts out in more slow-mo fashion before drastically picking up in the pace in its second leg. Both rappers bring some witty bars to the table and it goes over well. Additionally, this track is a part of a two-pack for 03, with “Bless Your Soul” being the second.

ScHoolboy Q At Peace On “Cooties” & “Love Birds” With Devin Malik & Lance Skiiiwalker

It hard to believe we only have 10 more days until ScHoolboy Q drops what looks to be an album of the year contender, BLUE LIPS. If you have not been paying attention, the rollout for this album has been nothing short of incredible. From the album artwork to the trailers, the merchandise, and of course, the music, he really has fans on the edge of their seats. Now, ScHoolboy Q is back with another two pack of “Cooties” and “Love Birds.”

These are now the fourth and fifth songs to be released ahead of the LP. Now, for three consecutive weeks, ScHoolBoy has impressed us with the material. “Blueslides” and “Back n Love” were different sonically but offered a lot of great writing and production. Then, last week, “Yeern 101” took us back to the Oxymoron days where he was dropping head-knocking trap bangers. His blistering flows complemented the up-tempo beat from Cardo to a tee.

This leads us to “Cooties” and “Love Birds.” Both are more vibey and have more of an interlude-like feeling to them. The structures of both songs are mainly a verse and a short chorus on the first of the two. “Cooties” is exclusively handled by Q both rapping and producing wise. He seems at peace on this one. The Cali artist talks about how his kids are finding meaningful interests and how much he has succeeded after removing himself from the people who were bad for him. On “Love Birds,” Q takes a back seat to the singing talents of frequent collaborator Lance Skiiiwalker, while Devin Malik once again takes the reigns on the beat. This one is more about the challenges in relationships with women.

BbyMutha Continues To Express Herself & Impress Others On New Single “Go!”, Announces Album & Tour

Over the past few years, it seems that female rappers are getting more and more eccentric. Some of those newest players include people like Sexyy Red and GloRilla just to name a handful. However, one female MC who has been doing this for longer than they have is BbyMutha. She hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee and always has a lot to say. Her production choices are also interesting and quite pleasing to the ears as well. Today, the 34-year-old is back with a new single to promote something big. BbyMutha’s “go!” is the second single from her forthcoming record, sleep paralysis. Stereogum and a host of other publications are really excited about what she has in store and so are we.

This soon-to-be eighth project in BbyMutha’s discography will follow up her 2023 LP, Muthaleficent 3. The first of the two tracks, “gun kontrol,” got the rollout for sleep paralysis going back in October 2023. However, if all of this information was not exciting enough for you, there is more! On top of the single and LP announcement, Bbymutha is hitting the road on April 17 to kick of her North American tour.

D4vd’s growth as an artist has been nothing short of incredible. The Darkroom signee is still just 18 years old and has a copius amount of hits already. His debut EP Petals to Thorns holds five of the 10 most popular song spots on his Spotify. The highest-streamed track from that tape, “Here With Me,” is over 900 million plays.

However, that still is not even close to his most played song. “Romantic Homicide” posseses that title with 68 million more listens. His alternative, rock, emo style has captivated so many fans, 24 million plus to be exact. Since 2021, d4vd has not put out a full-length record. Hopefully, that happens this year, especially after dropping two new tracks today.

ScHoolboy Q Gives Us Contrasting Sounds On “Blueslides” & “Back In Love”

TDE and ScHoolboy Q fans can start to rejoice again! The gritty German-born MC is coming back with a new purpose in 2024. Q is back to provide his supporters with two tracks from his upcoming album BLUE LIPS. It will be the 37-year-old’s sixth project and his first since 2019’s CrasH Talk. That LP was more of a commercially-sounding release with more trap/pop rap-inspired cuts. That was especially the case with mainstream features such as Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Kid Cudi, and 21 Savage, among others.

However, “Blueslides” and “Back In Love” seem to hearken back to the days of the Blank Face LP. The first of the two brings a classical/jazzy sample into the fold where ScHoolboy raps in a thought-provoking manner. Besides being able to get introspective, Q can also dip into his banger bag. It is what makes him such an intriguing rapper and why fans are so amped for this tape.

“Back In Love” features production from TDE beatmaker Devin Malik and some mean-mugging rapping from Q. The beat on this one is stank-face-inducing. The feedback for both songs is already extremely positive and for good reason. He is cooking up something truly special and we cannot wait for March 1.
