Though she’s been known to get involved with Twitter drama in the past, Cardi B’s energy has mostly been focused elsewhere as of late. However, to end her weekend, the mother of two found herself in the midst of some online beef with popular TikToker Raymonte, who took a tweet she shared on Sunday (April 2) a little too personally. “I’m humble, but I’m quick to call somebody a pest,” she wrote yesterday. “Like please, you could never sit next to me. GERM.” A few hours after the rap diva vented her thoughts, the online entertainer quoted it with some words of his own.
“I didn’t think this was about me ’til the DM,” Raymonte speculated. “You got more money [than] me so I really don’t got no jokes. I DM’d you back tho .” Upon seeing the message, Cardi came through with some receipts, providing followers tuning in with a screenshot of a message sent to her via Instagram from the social media star. “Wtf are you talking about?” the Grammy Award-winner pressed Ray. “Idk why you unsent your message,” appears to be the first thing he said to her in the accompanying photos. “I like you, it wasn’t even shade to you. I didn’t know yo ass wasn’t Mexican, my bad [for real], I apologize.” Afterward, he tried to lighten the mood by sharing some of CB’s most popular lyrics as of late, “Fake bitch, that’s why my friend f*ck on yo’ n*gga.”
Cardi B and Raymonte’s Social Media Spat
Of course, Raymonte just as quickly came through with receipts of his own. In one image, he shows that Cardi B recently watched an IG Story of his, as well as a screenshot of a DM she allegedly sent to him first. “You literally unsent your message????? This isn’t you?” he wrote. The New Yorker’s fighting spirit found her sharing yet another photo to disprove Ray, this one giving us a preview into her undeniably busy private messages. “I never [sent] you a message,” Cardi refuted his claims. “And I looked at your story because your MESSAGE popped up on my primary. I was trying to see who it was before I opened the DM, is this like a skit or some shit?” she went on to ask.
Rather than keep the drama going, Raymonte opted to end the conversation there. He informed his Twitter followers that he’s offered Cardi B an apology, though his post makes it sound as though he didn’t fully mean it. “I said sorry to the girl, I’m not into [it] with her ass. She overly sensitive!!!!!!! I said my bad, THE F*CK?” Elsewhere online this past weekend, the 30-year-old hopped on IG Live to call out other women claiming that they’re having sex with their man multiple times a day, every day. Fans have all but given up on Saweetie’s debut studio album, but the rapper has been hard at work. Saweetie has been promising Pretty B*tch Music for years, and with each teased release date comes a disappointment. Her debut’s delay has been explained away at each step, but that hasn’t stopped Saweetie from dropping singles. To placate her fans, the rapper delivered The Single Life, an EP she shared in November 2022. One of the project’s tracks, “Bo$$ Chick,” has received viral attention. This has caused some to hear the song for the first time; not everyone is a fan.
Hip Hop’s Icy Girl is used to facing off against critics. Artists regularly find their social media comments overtaken by naysayers, and Saweetie has dismissed the fuss. On TikTok, she uploaded a clip of herself lipsyncing a portion of “Bo$$ Chick” along with a dance, but a user wasn’t impressed. “I’m sorry I don’t like the song [crying loudly emojis].” Much of the time, artists ignore these remarks, but Saweetie had a minute to spare.
Saweetie Claps Back
The TikToker wasn’t the only one with criticism, but Saweetie only addressed her. “Wellllll I don’t expect everyone to have good taste [shrug emoji],” the “My Type” rapper replied. Soon, dozens of her fans jumped in to cosign. Meanwhile, in April 2021, Saweetie hinted that her Pretty B*tch Music album faced delays because she was working on her craft. She revealed she was enduring a boot camp of sorts to sharpen her skills.
“Well for me, I’m gonna focus on what I struggle with — I struggle with breathing control,” she told Apple Music. “I’m gonna work on my dance moves, my details, all that good stuff, my body, my stamina, everything.” Meanwhile, the rapper more recently revealed that her debut would “definitely” arrive before the end of the year. When asked who she hoped to collaborate with one day, she gave a common answer: Rihanna. If the pair ever did link up for a record, Saweetie hopes it would be a dance track that gets fans’ bodies moving. We’ll have to wait to see if that ever materializes, but in the meantime, check out her brief exchange with the TikToker above.
Social media users will do anything to get quick clicks, even if that means pretending to commit a crime for the sake of views. Fans recently expressed concern after a TikTok of a man claiming to have stolen Ice Spice’s chain went viral on Wednesday (March 29), but it seems like that video is reportedly just a hoax and a way to stir up fake engagement. Moreover, the video consists of two men, one of which holds up a chain of the word “Queen” and claims it’s the “Munch” hitmaker’s.
While many slammed the alleged perpetrators in the comments, a lot of people also said that it was clearly a joke. Apparently, some took it a little more seriously than others. Still, as one of the biggest artists right now, it’s understandable that so many came to her defense swiftly. At the end of the day, it seemed like two guys making a targeted video in jest, as much as people blasted them for stealing a woman’s jewelry. After all, they laugh while imitating her “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” flow at the end, so hopefully they mean this more in jest than to get a reaction from her.
Stolen Ice Spice Chain On TikTok Is Fake
Speaking of which, the iHeart Radio Awards presenter hasn’t reacted or posted about the fake chain snatching as of writing this article. However, it’s fair to say she was pretty unfazed by it in the first place. According to TMZ, a source close to Ice Spice claimed that she never owned the allegedly stolen “Queen” chain in the first place. That’s more of a Nicki Minaj term, and the 23-year-old’s signature chain she wore during her rise actually reads “Isis,” her birth name.
Meanwhile, Ice Spice also dominates TikTok to begin with. No matter how hard people might try to take advantage of her name, nothing will be as big as her own creations and influence on the platform. Whether it’s her music playing everywhere or clips of her hanging out with North West and Kim Kardashian, she’s there for a good time, not a fake one. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest viral TikTok moments surrounding Ice Spice and for more updates on the superstar.
Chris Brown has always been known as something of a ladies’ man, but his latest on-stage antics took things too far for one boyfriend in the crowd. During a recent performance in the UK, the R&B artist brought a female fan out to join him. He performed an ultra-steamy lap dance to 2007’s “Take You Down” that had the crowd going wild. Breezy’s dance moves were obviously wowing his audience. At the same time, the receiving patron’s partner caught their intimate moment on camera. He subsequently posted it on TikTok to vent to the world about what he’d just witnessed.
“POV: Buying my girlfriend front row tickets to see Chris Brown … I want my £500 [$615 USD] and my girlfriend back,” @dashthelith wrote in the caption of his since-deleted post. As The New York Post reports, the OP’s comment section quickly flooded with other users insisting that he end his relationship due to the disrespect. “Girls with celeb crushes are red flags,” one person wrote. “They would leave [you] in a heartbeat for that celeb crush.” Another chimed in with, “As a man, I was like, ‘That’s Chris Brown.’ But when she kissed him I would’ve dumped her too.”
Chris Brown’s Ultra Steamy Lap Dances Land Him in Trouble
In an also-deleted update video, @dashthelith confirmed that he allegedly ended things with his girlfriend following the salacious display. “Just to update everyone regarding the Chris Brown concert, I’m no longer with my girlfriend. She said she doesn’t think what she did was wrong,” he wrote in response to a question on his original video. Seeing as the TikToks were removed earlier this weekend, there’s been speculation floating around that the entire stunt was simply for clout. Regardless, this certainly isn’t the first time the Virginia native has been so up close and personal with fans.
While giving yet another lap dance, the 33-year-old was previously enraged by the woman recording him. Brown was so angry, in fact, that he threw his fan’s phone while pulling off one of his signature moves. “F*CK DAT PHONE,” Brown wrote on Instagram after the show. Thankfully for the embarrassed attendee, others made sure she and her cell were reunited at the end of the night. Read more about that here, and let us know if you would break up with your partner in this situation below.
If you have been on TikTok lately, you have probably heard of a rapper named Yeat. Noah Olivier Smith, or Yeat, is a rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer.
Born on February 26, 2000, Yeat has gained popularity in such a short time. Born from a Romanian descent mom and a Mexican dad, Yeat has been making music since 2016.
Yeat’s Inspiration
Yeat’s dad was also a musician; when he was, it was said that there were guitars and pianos all around the house. However, he didn’t take a passion for playing instruments but later developed a love for making his own music.
As he grew up, Yeat started to gain some musical influence, which included some huge artists. Those artists were Young Thug and Future, but there was one more that Yeat’s mother actually put him on. His most significant influence was T-Pain.
In an interview with Our Generation Music, Yeat said, “I feel like that’s why I be singing and shit. I don’t be singing, but I feel like that’s where I got that inspiration from.” “He’s really the GOAT of Auto-Tune.”
The Beginning Of His Music
Since the late 2016s and early 2017s, it was revealed that Yeat has been putting out music since those times. However, most of them consisted of singles and a few Eps.
He has attributed that his early drug use was the reason that helped him get into music. It was also the factor that made him think of his stage name. But then, he did LSD, which stimulated his mind to think differently, and he made up his name while he was high.
“I really think it helped open my mind and think about shit differently. It didn’t make me rap, but it kind of gave me the idea, like, I could just do whatever I put my mind to.”
“I’m not going to lie, it was really like some high shit,” he said during an interview with Our Generation Music. “I just wanted to do something like one word, and just make it simple and kind of relatable. People hear my name, they feel like they already heard of me.” For a while, he was known as Lil Yeat, but he eventually dropped the “Lil.”
His Style
As Yeat progressed in his music career, he wanted to find something that was unique to him. That’s why he started to make up his own language in his raps. He briefly explains its origins, saying, “It started when I was out in New York.”
In his songs, you can hear many different words that no one can recognize, but they all have a meaning that Yeat has created. Some of these words are “Twizzy,” “luh geeky,” “SHMUNKIT,” etc. Afterward, he explains how he took this after his dad said, “I think I got it from my dad because he be making up words for shit all the time,” he said. “So I just do that.”
Furthermore, he explained how he doesn’t think his style fits into a class or box. Instead, it is all about adaptability, and that’s why Young Thug and Future inspired him because of them experimenting with different sounds.
“I feel like my style isn’t really set on one thing,” he explains. “I be having mad different vibes, mad different styles. The way I even my voice on different songs, I feel like I got that from listening to a lot of Thug shit.”
TikTok
As stated earlier, a lot of people discovered Yeat through TikTok. A couple of his songs became huge on the platform and were the sound everyone used in their video. Another significant aspect of his music is the famous bell that can be heard in the instrumental.
His song “Sorry Bout That” and “Talk” were Yeat’s two most used sounds. In addition, “Sorry Bout That” was his breakout song for him. The 2021 single was from his “4L” project and is currently his most viral song to date.
This is what he had to say about that single “spur-of-the-moment.” “I really just be living my raps, and be talking about whatever I’m going through at the moment. All my music is like that. It’s just about whatever is on my mind. I don’t be writing or none of that.”
YouTube
Music director Cole Bennett became involved as his popularity grew and helped Yeat skyrocket his career by producing a music video for him. If you know anything about Lyrical Lemonade, then you know they always help out growing musicians.
Currently, with “Out thë way,” “Poppin,” and “Still Countin” on the Lyrical Lemonade channel, they all accumulate to 47.7 million views.
Cole Bennett spoke briefly about Yeat and said, “Yeat is the breakout artist of the year” back in 2022.
Now
Yeat, in the past couple of years, has dropped seven albums since 2021, which was the start of his popularity. These albums include, “Aftërlyfe,” “Lyfë,” “2 Alivë (Gëëk Pack)“, “2 Alivë“, “Up 2 Më“, “4L“, and “Alivë.”
He has also been meant with a lot of praise from the generational artist. These include Drake, the Weeknd, Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, Gunna, Young Thug, and more.
Yeat continues to push out music as he just released his most recent album, “Aftërlyfe,” on February 24, 2023. Be on the lookout for more of Yeat, as his label boss Zack Bia had this to say about him on Complex,
“Yeat is an all-around “visionary artist.” “in terms of creating a whole lingo, having a very unique style of music, and building a whole world around it.” “He’s created something so unique that people can really buy into, so I don’t want to take credit for any of it. It’s all Yeat, and I’m just here to plug in the plays behind the scenes, and help facilitate all the relationships. I’m here to make sure the music is packaged right and handle all the things that a label executive should.”
Julia Fox is no stranger to creating controversy in the online world. Surprisingly, the most recent backlash she’s facing has more to do with a relative than her. Earlier this month, the actresses’ brother, Christopher Fox, was arrested along with their father Thomas, during an NYPD raid. At the time, authorities reportedly uncovered ghost guns and evidence of narcotics manufacturing inside their shared apartment. According to Page Six, items found include fentanyl, chloroform, heroin, crack, cocaine, pressure cookers, and other drug paraphernalia.
The mother of one was reportedly out of town when the raid took place at her family member’s house. She was apparently unaware of Christopher’s alleged crimes. Still, she gave support to him by co-signing a $450K bond with Thomas (who was previously let go from jail) to get her brother out of Rikers Island on Monday. As the news made rounds online, some users began criticizing Fox for standing by her sibling. She markedly addressed this in a TikTok on Thursday (March 16).
Julia Fox Spills Tea on TikTok
“I know my brother. I’ve always known him to be like — I’m not kidding, you guys — the sweetest, most gentle, kind, soft-spoken. Loves animals, loves to plant flowers, has a green thumb, loves nature,” the Italian starlet explained to viewers yesterday. However, she did note that Christopher and her “have a lot of trauma.” Julia describes herself as “scrappy” and “a fighter” who was able to throw her aggression and “release that rage.” On the other hand, she says her brother had a tendency to “internalize” his own anger.
While it’s certainly been a scary experience, Fox is grateful she’ll be able to get Christopher “the help [she’s] been trying to get him for so long.” The Uncut Gems star added, “I wish I could say more but I don’t want to damage his case or anything like that but I will say that I’m just embarrassed.” Thankfully, she’s got other, more positive things to help occupy her mind through this troubling time, such as the highly anticipated return of her Forbidden Fruits podcast.
Forbidden Fruits’ Return
Julia Fox co-hosts the Spotify Original series with her friend Niki Takesh, and they’ve had some interesting guests in the past, to say the least. To kick off their latest season, the girls shared not one, but two episodes – the first a catch-up between the Forbidden Fruits creators, and the second an interview with Fyre Festival scammer Billy MacFarland. Check out both shows below, and tap back in later for more pop culture news updates.
However you feel about Eminem, odds are that you at least appreciate “Mockingbird,” which many people on TikTok clearly do. The Detroit rapper’s 2004 cut from his album Encore just gained over 1 billion streams on Spotify. For context, the track had half as many streams less than a year ago. Of course, this newfound appreciation for the song can be traced back to one social media giant: TikTok. The platform’s already revived past hits on the charts and shown them to a new audience, whether it’s their original version or a remixed rendition.
In this specific example, some videos with the hashtag #mockingbird received over 1.5 billion plays on the platform. Also, other videos with #mockingbirdeminem gained over 375 million plays. Moreover, the song appears in many ways: a sped-up version (used in over 150,000 videos), covers, the base track, one of the verses, the chorus, and the list goes on. Not only that, but this week (March 17), “Mockingbird” is No. 42 on Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart. It’s four spots ahead of Drake and 21 Savage’s “Rich Flex” and 200,000 streams behind Lil Uzi Vert’s “Just Wanna Rock.” While this track was already a hit, peaking at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, this rediscovery certainly brings a new weight to the song dedicated to Em’s daughter Hailie and niece Alaina.
Eminem’s “Mockingbird” Is A TikTok Favorite
However, Encore as a whole album did not receive the kind of praise that “Mockingbird” got from fans and critics alike. Granted, it still sold very well, going five times platinum in the U.S. alone. Still, “Mockingbird” was a standout track regardless of how its album turned out for many. It’s the seventh song in Eminem’s discography to reach over a billion streams on the platform, along with hits like “Without Me” and “The Real Slim Shady.” Last year, during his XXL 25th Anniversary cover story, Marshall Mathers remarked that Encore‘s reception left him frustrated with himself for some time.
“It became a misstep and I struggled to get over the fact that I didn’t do my best,” the 50-year-old expressed. “My best would’ve been good enough if the leaks hadn’t happened. But I released what I had at that point in time, and I feel that put a kind of a mark on my catalog. Encore did some decent numbers, but I was never that concerned with numbers. I was more so worried about what people think about the album. Critics and fans were important to me, and they were always at me about that project.” Despite that disappointment, “Mockingbird” stands as one of his best songs, and it’s great to see TikTok show some love to an almost nineteen-year-old album. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest on Eminem.
