Moreover, fans had plenty to say about this new style, whether it was remarking on folks who have done this before or on how ridiculous or cool some people think it looks. “Why would anyone want to wear that many chains,” one fan wrote under a Twitter post covering the look, whereas another added, “Can’t front, it’s kinda dope.” “Nah that ain’t it,” another posited with crying-laughing emojis, and other comments took a more practical stance. “Gonna be easier to get that s**t snatched that’s forsure,” a user theorized.

Furthermore, we’re sure that the Baton Rouge rapper will be quick to speak on this reception if it bothers or entices him at all. He’s never been shy about explaining or defending his controversial or notable choices, such as his practice of semen retention. “You gon’ release every now and then,” Kevin Gates remarked on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast with Gillie and Wallo. “You gon’ have a wet dream here and there. YBN Nahmir Breaks His Silence After Alleged Chain-Snatching

Earlier this week, one man hopped online to allege that he snatched YBN Nahmir’s custom chain in Compton. According to the Alabama-born MC, however, there’s absolutely zero truth to his claims. Yesterday (April 10), Nahmir took to social media to address the rumors, appearing confused and confirming the jewelry was still in his possession.

“I’m literally just getting up. What the f*ck do you n***as be talking about?” he says in a clip, laughing and lifting his chain to show viewers. “What the f*ck? All this sh*t be fake as hell. The internet be fake as hell.” While some fans believed the self-proclaimed chain-snatcher had really gotten ahold of Nahmir’s iconic piece, others were never fully convinced.

The man, who goes by @jointkofflaurel on Instagram, posted several photos of what he said was Nahmir’s chain on his Story this week, taunting the performer in his caption. “@ybnnahmir I got yo sh*t yung n***a tap n,” he wrote. He went on to share an old clip of the 24-year-old bragging about the YBN pendant, and noting how difficult it was to get his hands on. In a subsequent video, the alleged chain-snatcher boasted about how “easy” it actually was to steal. Plenty of fans had doubts from the get-go and sounded off in No Jumper‘s IG comments section.

“You can tell the chain the other guys got is fake don’t even look real,” one user argued. “That ain’t even the same chain why a rapper gunna put white gold on yellow that’s where it got me,” another said. Raekwon Shows Off His Stunning New Wu-Tang Clan Chain

The story of rappers and elaborate chains goes as far back as the idea of hip-hop itself. In the arms race of getting the flashiest and most elaborate chain rapper’s have spent millions on luxury pieces. One of those is Raekwon, who is no stranger to elaborate chains. He took to Instagram earlier this year to show fans the newest piece in his collection. As you’d expect, it’s made in the image of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan logo.

“We been cooking up something special with the chef @raekwon @wutangclan very own! A Legendary moment creating this masterpiece Wu-Tang pendant.welcome to the Mazza Family Chef. Stay tuned for what’s coming!” Mazza New York, the jewelers responsible for the piece posted to Instagram. It came attached to a video of the rapper seeing the chain for the very first time. He also pulled up in the comments to expand on his feelings. “you one of the gr8’s waterfall Mazza !!!! stay shined up ! love. gracias” his comment reads. Last year, Raekwon became the most recent rapper to start his own cannabis business. The business is called Hashtoria and it opened up in Newark, New Jersey. In recent years as laws have shifted more and more rappers have gotten involved in the business.

While the Wu-Tang rapper hasn’t released any new music so far this year he was busy delivering feature performances in 2023. Most notably was a Statik Selektah track that dropped in March of last year. He assembled a full on Wu-Tang reunion for the song. It contained features from Raekwon, Method Man, and Ghostface Killah. B.G. Rat Chain Proves His Disdain For Snitches

For those locked up in prison, coming back home after serving a sentence can feel even better than Christmas Day. Cash Money artist B.G. has been living his best life following his 11 years in prison for firearm possession and conspiracy to obstruct justice, though Wack 100 was raising eyebrows earlier this week with allegations of snitching. “At first, I was feeling some type of way,” B.G. shared in an interview after hearing the allegations. “But, you know, the n***as who opinion matters reached out to me. Because I’ve been paying attention to this internet and this internet a fool. This s**t a beast, you heard me?”

After that conversation, the embattled artist had more to say while streaming on Instagram. On Thursday (December 29), B.G. markedly showed off his new chain, which showcases a rat resting peacefully in a coffin. “This my new little ice that I had to pull out. Snitches’ lives don’t matter,” he said to those tuning in. “You want to how this — open casket. That’s the rat in the casket. Casket closed.”

After a relatively quiet first half of the year musically, Megan Thee Stallion has been dropping material pretty consistently across the past few months. While she’s contributed to various soundtracks and appeared as a feature on her long-awaited second crossover with Cardi B “Bongos,” she’s only released one song of her own. That track is “Cobra” which sees Megan digging into her feelings and getting personal on some issues she’s had recently while still delivering her trademark intensity.

Now, she’s leaning into the reptilian themes on the track. She shared a video to her Instagram story showing off her new chain. It’s a take on the ouroboros imagery of a snake eating itself but done with a Cobra in reference to her recent release. She also shared a follow-up picture preempting fan comments about her birthmark. “And you not a real hottie if you didn’t know my birthmark is on my neck! not a dang hickey,” she captioned the second picture. Just today another new song with Megan involved dropped. The track is called “Not My Fault” and sees the rapper teaming up with breakout singer and actress Renee Rapp. The track is due to appear on the soundtrack for the upcoming film Mean Girls. The film also stars Rapp in the lead role. It’s the second soundtrack cut Megan has dropped this year. She also contributed to the Dicks: The Musical soundtrack while also playing a role in the film itself.

Megan is also, somehow, still dealing with the fallout from the notorious shooting incident between her and Tory Lanez. Tory’s driver recently released a statement claiming that one of Megan’s friends, Kelsey Harris, was holding the gun that eventually shot her in the foot later that night. Megan fervently denied the implication that it was actually Harris who shot her. Devin Haney Flexes New Chain To Celebrate Latest Win

Devin Haney is repping some new drip after his latest win in the ring. The undefeated boxer showed off a new iced-out chain bearing a “Devin” pendant to celebrate his win over Regis Prograis last weekend. The piece was reportedly designed by Benny the Jeweler. However, there is no word to what the piece cost.

Haney’s win over Prograis was a clinical masterpiece. “I did everything that I said I was gonna do. Went in there and I handicapped him. We knew that he was gonna come in with a big left hand. We capitalized on his habit of leaning in. I hit him with big shots. I knew that I was hurting him,” Haney said after the fight. Prograis landed just 36 punches in the entire fight, a conversion rate of just 10%. By comparison, Haney hit his opponent 129 times.

Haney is now a two-division champion, although he did recently vacate his undisputed belt last month. However, Haney now needs to capitalize on his success and start booking the biggest fights he can find. Gervonta Davis, who fights at both 135 and 140, feels like the obvious option. However, Haney is skeptical that it’s a fight that could come together. “Tank don’t want to fight because if he really wanted to fight, then he would be trying to build up the fight instead of trying to knock it down. If he really wanted to fight me, he would be making it that. It’s a big fight and it’s the best fight for boxing. But he only talked down on the fight. Like I said many times, they say everything but ‘let’s fight,’” Haney told ESPN.

The other superstar option if Haney remains at 140 is Ryan Garcia. “For years and years we chased a Ryan Garcia fight. No one wanted to fight Devin Haney and everyone used the excuse: ‘It’s not a big enough fight. No one knows who he is.’ When you’re too good, the only way you can entice people is to get paid to get beat. He sold out in a city that hasn’t had boxing in two decades,” Haney’s promoter said of a potential Garcia fight.

Recently, Birdman took to social media to show off a chain that he just recently came into. The hefty Coulda Been Records chain belonged to none other than Druski, the record executive’s known rival. He flexed the jewelry in an Instagram Story, alongside a shady caption. “SURPRISE PARTY B*TCH,” he wrote. “SLIPPIN IN STUDIO RICHG^NG.”

It’s no secret that Druski and Birdman have beef, however, it appears as though the situation only continues to escalate. New security footage obtained by TMZ shows the Cash Money founder and his crew hassling the comedian for the chain, resulting in a high-speed pursuit. In the clip, Birdman is seen standing by as members of his posse urge Druski to remove the jewlery.

Druski refuses, leading one member of the pack to snatch it off of his neck. “No!” the comedian shouts before nearly rolling down a nearby staircase. He and his own associates then make a run for it, as the men begin to chase them. Birdman doesn’t appear to break a sweat, calmly lingering behind the others. In the past, Druski’s made it clear that he feels threatened by Birdman and his crew, and this latest developments is a good example of why. It’s unclear whether or not Druski will ever get his hands back on his Coulda Been Records chain. Clearly, Birdman has sent a message with this recent gesture, letting him know that he needs to back off of his artists and stay in his own lane.

“I seen Hov 0ne day — I’m bold as a m*thaf*cka too. He had that Roc chain on one day. I was thinking about it all day. Should I ask him?” Meek recalls during a discussion with Complex. Surprisingly, it worked perfectly for him. “I was like, ‘Yo man, can I get that Roc chain right there? I said I could buy one but it ain’t the same if I buy that sh*t, I need this actual artifact from you. Meek Mill has a new album coming later this week. It’s a full length collaboration with Rick Ross called Too Good To Be True. They’ve already dropped two singles from the album. First came “Shaq & Kobe” back in September and then last month they released the second single “Lyrical Eazy.” Doubling down on the NBA theme of their songs they recruited both Shaq and Damian Lillard to provide guest verses for a remix of “Shaq & Kobe” last week.

They’ve also been teasing potential features on the project, including a MMG reunion. That would mean that Wale was involved, which is seeming increasingly likely the more times they bring it up as a tease. Despite that tease and Meek promising an upcoming Drake collab, they haven’t officially shared the tracklist or features from their new album yet.
