A few days ago, Chrisean Rock shared a moving post to Instagram. In it she essentially tells her fans that she’s looking to do better for herself and for her son. How is she doing this you ask? The all-powerful spirit above. “Embracing a new life and walking in purity is a beautiful journey, one that reflects the transformative power of God’s love and grace. As you continue to shine brightly in your purity, remember that it’s a reflection of God’s work within you, drawing you closer to Him and to the life He has envisioned for you”. Furthering her commitment to Him, Rock sat down with Pastor Bryant for an enlightening conversation, according to The Shade Room.

During their interview, she talked about her incarceration, getting rid of bad habits, and this new path she’s on. Furthermore, the baby momma to Blueface also mentioned how she’s looking to make what she calls “hood gospel”. She even previewed a song she has been working on, giving Pastor Bryant some raw vocals mid-interview. People have been ridiculing her still, even though she’s looking to make life-altering changes for the better. However, there are some who were inspired by her revelation, including hitmaking producer, Timbaland.

He loved what he heard from Rock so much –especially the snippet– so he turned those lyrics and some talking points and turned it into a powerful song of his own. Fans underneath The Shade Room‘s repost of this Timbo clip were loving it, saying, “Now THATS FIRE I’m ready to stream ASAP”. “YAHWEH YAHWEH, there’s only one way and it’s God’s way love this”. Chrisean also came across the snippet and replied with a brief but appropriate reaction, “Gods Plan”. While we absolutely need this song, we are also happy to see Rock for moving in this way. We hope she will continue to move down this path of betterment.

Ice Spice Fans Are Asking Her For More Variety Amid Lukewarm Reception To New Song Snippet

Ice Spice has a couple of big hits and a signature sound all her own, but it’s starting to tire out a lot of her core fanbase. Moreover, she recently shared a new song snippet with her die-hards on social media, and as you can see in the comments section of the Instagram post below, they aren’t super impressed. This is because it sounds very similar to these other tracks. Sure, every single Jersey/drill beat can’t always sound unique, but the Bronx femcee has a lot of potential to experiment with more flows and fittingly attack other styles of production.

In fact, Ice Spice fans prompted a lot of viral discussions around her as of late, one of these being her sudden weight loss. While some fans claim that she uses Ozempic, her recent post of her intense workout routine seems to discredit that or at least make it a less likely possibility. Either way, the 24-year-old faces more pressure than most in every aspect of her career. We can’t say that demands for her to switch up her sound aren’t invalid, but rarely before did young careers like these have so many backseat drivers clamoring to design its path forward.

Elsewhere, the supposed beef between Ice Spice and Latto continues to be a big part of their narratives on social media. “Um, is it true you got beef with Ice Spice?” 2 Chainz’s son hilariously asked the Atlanta femcee during their podcast episode. “Oh my God, here we go,” she answered. “Let me tell you something, Halo. I don’t got a problem with nobody ’cause beef is a different thing, you feel me? That’s a whole different type of conversation. I ain’t got no beef with nobody, I don’t got a problem with nobody for real. *laughs* I ain’t got no problem with nobody for real, for real, it ain’t like that.”

Meanwhile, other supposed feuds, such as falling out with Nicki Minaj, still define Ice Spice’s current proliferation online among fans. It’s a bit unfair and certainly unnecessary, but a reality nonetheless. We’ll see how she chooses to move forward and what her next moves will be after Y2K. Maybe this is the marker that will precede a new era with a new sound.

Future, Atlanta rap icon, is still commanding a lot of listeners attention in the 2020’s decade. To some that probably isn’t a surprise, but just staying relevant in music is a tremendous feat, especially for how long he’s been in the game. On top of being in the mainstream still, he is almost always at the top of the charts, which just further solidifies his status. It’s why both of his collaborative efforts with his close producing pal Metro Boomin, WE DON’T TRUST YOU and WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, are two of the biggest records of the year. That’s the other thing that is impressive about Pluto. No matter how often he drops, fans are constantly wanting more from him.

That is currently true at this moment in time as well, as ever since the release of WSDTY, he has been teasing the crap out his return to the mixtape format. There was a point in May where Future had a lot of people thinking that project would be coming. Instead, it turned out to be a guest placement on a Tee Grizzley single, “Swear to God”. That seemingly started a mini feature run and not much has been said about this return to Future’s mixtape era.

However, things are seemingly ramping back up, as a new song snippet was just previewed. With streaming becoming such a major market right now due to names like Kai Cenat, Jynxzi, and Sketch, for example, rappers especially are using it as a tool to spread the word on their upcoming material. That is exactly what Future decided to do, using Adin Ross’ platform to tease a potential track from Mixtape Pluto. There aren’t a lot of lyrics in the snippet, but the instrumental sounds extremely ominous and intoxicating. Ross seemed to like what he heard, and possible credit could go to Southside for the beat. He has been quoted talking about assisting Future, which is great considering their track record together.

Her story goes that she’s always been a foodie, and when her success and fame led to her going out to eat at expensive restaurants, weight gain and fan comments on her body led to self-consciousness and confidence issues. With so much hip-hop happening in 2024 so far, it’s ironic how the growth of competition only seems to yield more and more MCs chiming in for a huge year. Among the most anticipated comebacks for the next eight months or so is that of Chance The Rapper, who’s been teasing a lot of new music for his upcoming Star Line Gallery album. Moreover, he just shared a new clip on social media on Sunday (April 21), in which he’s taped in the studio with Lil Wayne, T-Pain, JD, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri, and many others while he sings a tender unreleased track amid a lot of other footage. Overall, the Chicago rapper seems to be gearing up for something truly special soon.

Furthermore, this follows a lot of other short teases on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, one recent example of which actually calls for a revolution as opposed to the typical democratic process. He’s never been shy about his sociopolitical views, but it seems like there’s another kind of fire that’s building within him as opposed to what we’ve seen earlier in his discography. Either way, it looks like Chance The Rapper will still be able to emote in various ways and bring his powerful versatility to the table. If this is the kind of quality rapping, impactful production, and charismatically energetic performance that we can expect from this LP, then we’re likely going to get one of the best hip-hop full-lengths of the whole year.

YK Osiris caught himself in a lot of hot water for forcibly kissing Sukihana, and debate ensued as to whether he deserves the onslaught of backlash that came. Since video of the interaction went viral, she said that she accepts his apology as some fans completely cut him off or saw this as the end of the story. However, it seems like the Jacksonville native wants to share a more elaborate testimony when it comes to the hate he received. Moreover, he recently shared a snippet on Instagram of an upcoming new song titled “Dear Fans.” In it, the lyrics reflect feeling lonely, like people are preying on his downfall too much, and that he found himself very caught up emotionally in all that’s happened.

To be fair, these are emotions that he’s often expressed on social media for reactions unrelated to the Sukihana drama. Still, the context of that hangs over this song like a cloud. What’s important in that situation is YK Osiris’ own accountability, not how he may react to fans afterwards. That being said, it’s all about execution, and response to wrongdoing is just as telling as the act itself.

Gunna Says He’ll “Fight It Out” In New Song Snippet As YSL Trial Continues

As YSL’s trial looms larger and longer over the Atlanta collective, its most highly publicized plea-taker is continuing his career. A new snippet recently surfaced of an unreleased Gunna song where the rapper talks about “fighting it out.” Moreover, this likely refers to his rocky and uncertain relationship with Young Thug and the rest of his rap crew after accusations of snitching. Furthermore, the snippet appeared on Brittany Reshaun’s Instagram story, model and friend to the 29-year-old. While he’s been lying low since taking plea, fans and detractors alike are wondering what his personal and career future will look like.

“Heard the rumors said I’m packing up and flying out,” he raps on the unreleased track. “We ain’t going nowhere I’m staying here, gone fight it out / I meant like f**k it / Let’s just give these n***as dark clouds / Been gone for months and I just keep seeing these dark clouds.” Of course, these bars could refer to anything in theory, especially considering Wunna’s free-flowing rap style. However, it lines up too perfectly for comfort, and there’s truth even in context alone despite possibly different intentions.

New Gunna Song Snippet Reveals Musings On YSL

As YSL’s RICO case unfolds, rumors swirled of Gunna leaving the camp and signing with a major label. Considering how much longer the trial is expected to last, perhaps it’ll be a long time before fans see how (or if) a reconciliation plays out. Currently, the process of jury selection is in a months-long process, one that is moving as quickly as possible, but still is facing delays and extensions. According to 11Alive.com, the trial itself will expectedly last take nine months, and opening arguments may not begin until the fall. As such, the timeframe in between those dates will likely consist of further jury selection.

Meanwhile, this snippet comes weeks after DJ Akademiks alleged that Gunna wants out of YSL and has a whole album ready to drop. People’s reactions to the news ranged from excited to outraged, mocking to sympathetic, and from appraisals to cancellations. Clearly he still has a strong fanbase that will look past his issues with YSL. Still, many wonder for how long they will stick around, and how he will sidestep these accusations in the industry.
