Beyonce Clears Up Misconceptions About Her Natural Hair & Shows It Off

Beyonce’s hair care brand Cécred has gotten some flack online for her use of extensions and for allegedly ripping off a package design. Still, in the face of all that, she still stands by the idea that people who wear wigs or style their hair in an additive way can still have healthy and gorgeous natural hair. Moreover, the Houston superstar recently shared a video in which she shows off her hair and speaks about what processes and routines she likes to indulge in. No matter where you fall on the Cécred debate, that’s no reason to belittle or over-exaggerate her relationship with her locks.

“The stigma and misconception is that people that wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair,” Beyoncé expressed in the voice-over of the clip below. “That’s some bulls**t, ’cause it ain’t nobody business. I’ll get back to my hair. I like to blow-dry my hair on medium heat, ’cause I try to stay away from as much heat as possible, and using an old-school pressing comb. I’ve chosen color over perms or relaxers. I’ve been using these products, and my hair has never grown so long, never been so moisturized.

“And I’m very grateful for those who have allowed the products to speak for themselves,” Beyoncé continued concerning Cécred. “We are building the community that I’ve dreamt about. I’m proud of the ingredients, I’m proud of the way that it’s making people feel, I’m proud that it’s not one-dimensional, and that it’s for multiple textures. I’m very, very grateful for all of the support, and I’m very thankful to you guys. And I just ask that you continue to share your experiences with this brand.”

Meanwhile, with an upcoming documentary inspired in part by her new album COWBOY CARTER, it seems like we will be getting a lot more from this era. What are some other questions, praises, or concerns you have for Cécred? However you may feel, drop them in the comments section down below. Chance The Rapper Posts New Snippet & Video With Lil Wayne, T-Pain & More

With so much hip-hop happening in 2024 so far, it’s ironic how the growth of competition only seems to yield more and more MCs chiming in for a huge year. Among the most anticipated comebacks for the next eight months or so is that of Chance The Rapper, who’s been teasing a lot of new music for his upcoming Star Line Gallery album. Moreover, he just shared a new clip on social media on Sunday (April 21), in which he’s taped in the studio with Lil Wayne, T-Pain, JD, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri, and many others while he sings a tender unreleased track amid a lot of other footage. Overall, the Chicago rapper seems to be gearing up for something truly special soon.

Furthermore, this follows a lot of other short teases on platforms like Instagram and Twitter, one recent example of which actually calls for a revolution as opposed to the typical democratic process. He’s never been shy about his sociopolitical views, but it seems like there’s another kind of fire that’s building within him as opposed to what we’ve seen earlier in his discography. Either way, it looks like Chance The Rapper will still be able to emote in various ways and bring his powerful versatility to the table. No matter what this next era or project shows up as, it’s been long enough since 2019’s The Big Day to where there’s always the element of surprise to consider now.

Chance The Rapper’s Latest Snippet & Short Vlog: Watch

For example, he dedicated his latest song “I Will Be Your” to the Black Star Line Festival that he hosted in Ghana alongside Vic Mensa. The only things to be expected about that song were the beat and performance themselves, but the subject matter ranged all over the place. Also, with that event touching down on a lot of plights and hot topics relating to the Black experience, Star Line Gallery might be a deeper exploration of what Chance The Rapper’s learned over the years. These are all just theories, but we’ll likely see if they manifest soon.

Meanwhile, the “Paranoia” spitter also recently expressed his support for Young Thug during his and YSL’s RICO trial. It’s been a very hard and arduous process that has raised many more eyebrows since the initial arrest almost two years ago. It’s yet another factor that makes us think he’s teaming up with all these artists to make something grand, compelling, and meaningful. For more news and the latest updates on Chance The Rapper, stay posted on HNHH.

ScHoolboy Q Delivers The “Verse Of The Year” With Kenny Beats On “The Cave”

ScHoolboy Q admittedly hasn’t spent much time in the studio lately, as he continues to revel in the success of his latest album Blue Lips. Regardless, he recently linked up with Kenny Beats for a new episode of The Cave. While he revealed early on in the episode that he didn’t even plan on rapping at all, he was quick to go back on that, perhaps even a bit too quickly.

He got in the booth without Kenny noticing and started to freestyle before he was even finished with the beat. Kenny seemed like he was pushing for another go with a finished beat, but ScHoolboy Q wasn’t interested. According to him, he’s been rapping a lot lately and didn’t think he had much left in him. Fortunately, he felt confident that he had “aced that motherf*cker,” dubbing it the “verse of the year.” The duo then chatted for a bit about how they met, Q refusing to share his weed, Kendrick Lamar, and more. Check out the full episode below.

ScHoolboy Q Freestyles On The Cave

While ScHoolboy Q has seen quite a bit of success with his own music, he remains critical of the industry at large, recently chiming into a debate about streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music. THey bout to fire all deez cats at tHese streaming sites next.. radio bye .. sum How sum way tHo US RAPPERS gone f*ck it up and give sumbody else power once again,” he wrote, amassing thousands of views and comments.

Latto Drives Fans Wild With New Workout Vid Showing Off Her Figure

Latto is as lauded for her bars as she is for her beauty, and she’s made it very clear that she’s putting in work to hold herself up to high standards on all cylinders. Moreover, she recently delighted fans with a video of her working out, showing off her figure and dismissing BBL-addressing allegers in the process. Sure, that debate is neither here not there, and your thoughts on that surgery are your own to maintain. But do cosmetic procedures mean that you can’t hit the gym again, as some commenters under the post below would have you believe? Odds are that most people would call that a bit of an exaggeration.

Furthermore, as for Latto’s other endeavors and level-ups, she’s had a pretty big 2024 so far that will likely become even grander in the near future. For example, she recently made history as the first female artist to headline HOT 107.9‘s Birthday Bash, which should be a pretty electric performance. In addition to some singles and features, it seems like the Clayton County MC will continue to build a lot of hype and momentum this year. With that comes higher standards and more lofty expectations, so fans and naysayers alike are curious to see how she continues to define her name in the hip-hop world.

Latto’s New Workout Vid: Watch

What’s more is that the 25-year-old might have to play into the gossip and headlines as well thanks to some new hot rumors. When Drake and her sister Brooklyn Nikole went out together, folks immediately assumed relationship rumors. In fact, it got so speculative and ardent that folks thought Latto’s repost of Drizzy on Instagram confirmed this fling. But that’s just part of the rumor mill, and there are more reasonable explanations for why she chose to shout him out.

Meanwhile, with the Ice Spice feud still in the background, many fans wonder whether this will turn into a more direct battle. Their spat still remains mostly rumored and subliminal, albeit not very thinly veiled if fan interpretations are at all right. We’ll see how they choose to proceed, because there’s a lot of smoke floating around the game right now. For more news and the latest updates on Latto, stay logged into HNHH.

Beyonce’s Ice Spice & Coco Jones Greeting Has Fans Noticing A Stark Difference In Demeanor

More people were lined up to meet Beyonce at the 2024 Grammy Awards than there were in line to actually win an award. It seemed like every celebrity at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday (February 4) wanted to get a picture with her and hear her voice if only for a fleeting moment. One of these stars was 2023’s breakout hitmaker Ice Spice, who greeted the Houston icon in a clip that surfaced online. Their interaction was quick and respectful, with Queen Bey also greeting the Bronx native’s producer RIOTUSA. However, many fans noticed that she was much more excited when Coco Jones came into her sightline, extending a hug to her fellow R&B artist as Spice seemed to bask in the moment with Blue Ivy and Jay-Z beside her.

But if you see a longer version of the first clip below, you’ll see that this wasn’t really the case. Moreover, Coco Jones basically got in line after hugging Beyonce, and she went back to her conversation with Ice Spice. They spoke for a while longer, posed for a picture, and exchanged a hug, as well. As such, folks are likely exaggerating when they say that the RENAISSANCE artist cast Spice aside dismissively. Regardless, it was a big night for both rising titans, with a couple of nominations for both Beyhive members and a win for Coco in the Best R&B Performance category.

Unfortunately, Ice Spice didn’t win for her nominations, including Best Rap Song with the Nicki Minaj collab “Barbie World.” Her team-up with Taylor Swift on “Karma” remix also missed out on the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category. At least the 24-year-old shares something with Coco Jones beyond great artistry and Beyonce fandom: respect and love for Victoria Monét. She beat out both of them in the Best New Artist field (plus other awards), and all three of them were worthy of the praise.

Meanwhile, the “PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA” titan had a pretty notable night, too. Not only was she the center of attention amid a crowd filled with centers of attention, but her husband Jay-Z stood up for her against the Grammys’ failure to give her Album Of The Year despite having more awards than anyone in their history. What did you think about his speech? Let us know in the comments below and come back to HNHH for more on Beyonce, Ice Spice, and Coco Jones.

Ciara & Russell Wilson Share Adorable Clip Of How They Prep Newborn For Date Night

Ciara’s now able to go outside more following the birth of her third child with Russell Wilson, Amora, back in December of last year. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s any easier to take care of the newborn, or that the couple doesn’t have to think of their kids in every waking moment. Fortunately, though, they’ve found fun ways to show love to their family and take care of them before going on their duo adventures. Moreover, the R&B singer recently posted a video on Instagram of the two dancing to the rhythm of how the football player rocked Amora to sleep, which was just so wholesome to see.

Furthermore, this adds to the adorable content that the couple has been keeping admirers up to speed with on social media. Even though it’s a parasocial relationship at the end of the day, this is exactly what a lot of people want to brighten their days. Russell Wilson and Ciara are one of the most admired couples on the Internet, and they are individually bright stars in their own right. If nothing else, it’s at least something that music fans and sports fans can bond over that doesn’t involve an argument about Taylor Swift on NFL broadcasts.

However, it hasn’t all been peaches and cream in The Evolution hitmaker’s life in particular as of late, although most folks aware of this are on her side. Stunna Girl recently blasted her after her song “Stand Up,” which uses an unauthorized sample of Ciara’s “Goodies,” was taken down from YouTube. Of course, a lot of fans understand that, if someone doesn’t clear a sample, it’s in their right to take according action. Still, it opened up an interesting conversation around alleged double standards in sampling and the proper way to handle situations like these.

Meanwhile, we’re sure that the 38-year-old will keep stunning with her post-pregnancy glow, and that she’ll find a good balance between parenthood and free time. After all, as a superstar, that balance is key to staying grounded and responsible in both aspects. Whatever happens, and whatever they decide to share, we’re here for it. With that in mind, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Ciara and Russell Wilson.

Drake Calls Dancers On FaceTime To Give Them Money

Drake is quite the generous soul, a quality that’s very easy but remarkable to have when you have so much money to send around. Moreover, a new clip emerged on social media of him FaceTiming some dancers to make sure they knew that he was the one who sent them oodles of cash. Given the vague and quick nature of this video, though, exactly what the Toronto superstar did here is a bit unclear. Was he really just calling to make sure his money went to the right people or did he do this big reveal where he called so he could see their reactions? Whether from a distance or right in your face, The Boy definitely lives up to that cringe feminist bar on Her Loss.

Furthermore, Drake has plenty of reasons to celebrate these days, so it’s natural for him to spread that joy. At press time, the Grammy Awards are in just a couple of hours, and he’s among the most nominated artists in the rap field. Of course, this is curious because of the 37-year-old’s reluctance to submit his material for Recording Academy consideration in the past, and also because of a particularly fitting matchup. The aforementioned 21 S*vage collab album will face off against Travis Scott’s UTOPIA in the Best Rap Album category, and fans shared a throwback pic of the two at the 2019 ceremony to reflect on this camaraderie and competition.

Drake Gives Out Cash Via FaceTime: Watch

If you want to see our predictions for the hip-hop and R&B categories for this year’s Grammys, you can find those here. Overall, we’re not sure whether Drake’s past Grammys history will work in his favor or if it will dissuade voters from seeing the quality of tracks like “Rich Flex” and “Spin Bout U,” which are specifically nominated from Her Loss along with the whole album. There’s also steep competition in the form of Killer Mike’s star-studded “SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS,” Nas’ excellent LP King’s Disease III, and more. We’ll see very soon whether there are any surprises in store or if the Recording Academy plays it safe.

Meanwhile, the “Wick Man” MC’s affinity for FaceTime calls extends to his collaborators, too. For example, he recently hit up Yeat via the video call feature, which got fans riled up for another team-up. “IDGAF” stunned many, so hopefully they can recapture and expand on that magic. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Takeoff Wax Figure’s Creation Detailed In New Video: Watch

Artist mr.officials.llc recently uploaded a video on how they crafted the first-ever Takeoff wax figure and the emotive context behind it. For those unaware, Takeoff is a former member of the Migos, one of the most influential and impactful Southern rap groups of all time, alongside his uncle Quavo and Offset. Tragically, he passed away in November of 2022 following a shootout which caught him in the crossfire. This tragedy, in addition to the Georgia native’s musical legacy, makes him a much-missed and much-beloved figure in the culture for generations to come. Through the clip’s narration, his wax figure’s creator spoke on what the process means to him.

“I haven’t posted in a while and here’s why,” they began their narration of the Takeoff video. “I’m grieving and I’m mourning and I didn’t even know it. Some of you may or may not notice that I’m closing my business after three years. I’m losing my car, it’s on its last wheel. I’m driving a 14-year-old car and I soon won’t have that. I’ll be homeless if all goes well. Now before you begin to feel sorry for me, I’m okay. My gift will make room for me because it always has, and even with all my losses I still believe that this is my year.

Takeoff Wax Figure

“I’ve heard God say over and over, ‘Finish what you started,’” they said of the Takeoff piece. “So I thought well maybe I could finish some sculptures. I could finish working on some projects that I started on, but it’s way too expensive and like I said, I need a new car. He kept saying to me, ‘This is not about you. Your gift is to inspire. Finish what you started.’ So, as I continue to finish working on projects, I begin to grieve and mourn the individuals that I was working on. Crying while creating, this young man I’ve been working on is deceased, and yet I still feel a sense to pray for him.

“Praying for his soul, praying for his family, friends and band members,” they concluded. “That’s when it hit me. This will be the year that I take off. God was using me in the life and legacy of the late rapper Takeoff to let me know that he has not forgotten about me. And what’s funny is this isn’t even my prayer. My prayer is not to have a new house or a new car or a new business. My prayer is for this to be your year of Takeoff. Your job will go to another level. Your marriage will go to another level. Even your finances and health will increase. I believe that this will be the year to Takeoff.”

Drake Parties With Cash Cobain & Fivio Foreign During Weekend In New York: Watch

Drake is a polarizing figure in the hip-hop community, that goes without saying. That is especially true when it comes to some of his peers. He and Yasiin Bey, formerly Mos Def, were going at it recently after an interview went viral. The legendary New York MC said that Drizzy does not make rap music, but rather stuff you would hear while shopping. In addition, Megan Thee Stallion also sent some strays in her recent mega viral diss track, “HISS,” aimed at his Young Money teammate, Nicki Minaj. Even with all of that hate, plenty still respect him for what he has done for the genre over his decorated career.

One of those who gave him his kudos was New York drill rapper Fivio Foreign. In one of his latest tweets, he said, “Deff gotta give Drake his flowers 💐 He took me viral early fr 💪🏽” Fivio is harkening back to the time they collaborated on Drake’s Dark Lane Demo Tapes record back in 2019. They did so on “Demons” along with Sosa Geek. It turns out that message was sent around the same time that he and The Boy were hanging out in NYC.

Cash Cobain, one of the hottest up-and-comers from the area also popped out with them. They can be seen in the video above chopping it up and having a chill night. Moreover, Drake most likely took an extended visit this past weekend. He and his son Adonis were courtside at the Knicks versus Heat game. Lil Yachty was also clubbing with his close friend.

Ja Rule & Hitmaka Join Forces For Studio Session

Ja Rule and Hitmaka recently linked up for a studio session, which means there could be some new heat coming from them in the near future. Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t have any sound, so we don’t really know for sure what style or approach they vibed to in the booth. However, we do know that the producer is very versatile and amassed a lot of hits (it’s in the name, folks…), so we’re sure that there could be some great chemistry with the New York rapper. In fact, considering that Ja has another album on the way, hopefully this ends up being one of many beatsmith links that he partook in for its creation.

Furthermore, Hitmaka’s still keeping busy with his career, even if some potential beef with King Harris, T.I., and Tiny might get in the way of a possible collab. Regardless, we can only guess as to what this new work with Ja Rule could sound like, especially considering their storied artistry. Will they tackle flashy, old-school 2000s beats to evoke the previous era or will we see the MC ride more contemporary production? Either way, these career revitalizations are always a treat to see in hip-hop, even if the results can sometimes make this hype vanish. Fingers crossed for this one!

Hitmaka & Ja Rule Cooking Up

Of course, we know that Ja Rule is very confident in his skills and success, as he thinks no top 50 rappers list is complete without him. “I’m not a hater,” he said of Billboard and VIBE‘s top 50 MCs list, which left him off, during a recent appearance on The Tamron Hall Show. “Congrats to everyone on the list. [But] these lists, they’re meaningless because music is subjective. You like who you want to like, you know everybody has their favorite artist… But my thing was: this is a list comprised by Billboard. They do numbers and statistics, if I’m not mistaken. Okay so, that list is impossible to make without Ja Rule being on it -–statistically impossible.

“There are artists that don’t have number one records, don’t have number one albums,” the “Always On Time” spitter continued. “I’m not knocking anybody on the list because, like I said, music is subjective… And when it comes to some of the older artists, you kind of got to go by different metrics because they didn’t have the sales. So I get that, but I said what I said.” For more news and the latest updates on Hitmaka and Ja Rule, stay posted on HNHH.
