Traditionally, after giving birth, women take a few months away from work to bond with their new bundle of joy. But there’s nothing traditional about Sexyy Red.
The St. Louis rap phenomenon just can’t help but make her way to the booth. Throughout her pregnancy, she toured the world, snagging collaborations with Summer Walker, Nardo Wick, and more along the way. Her faux delivery was even the focus of Drake’s “Rich Baby Daddy” video. Now, she is temporarily back from maternity leave to share a booming new single, “Get It Sexyy,” produced by Tay Keith.
“Slim thick, chrome skin / 5’5″, this b*tch a ten / Hair done, bills paid / Catch me slidin’ in a Benz / I ain’t lookin’ for no man / I ain’t recruiting no new friends / Louis bag filled with bands / Go on, Sexyy, do your dance,” raps Sexyy.
Back in February, after announcing the arrival of her second child, she took to Instagram to share her post-pregnancy agenda. Though the list was short, there were pretty big demands, including getting back to partying just in time for summer. “Get It Sexyy” makes good on that personal goal for the rapper, and her fans are surely going to use this to get their outside activities going.
Abbott Elementary is having quite a star-studded third season. In the first six episodes alone, the Award-winning sitcom has had guest spots from Josh Segarra, Casey Frey, Sabrina Brier, Jalen Hurts, Jason Kelce, and most recently Bradley Cooper. It seems like everybody who’s anybody is vying for a spot on Abbott — including one St. Louis rapper.
Today (March 13), “Skee-Yee” hitmaker Sexyy Red expressed interest in appearing on the show.
“How I get on Abbott elementary?,” said the rapper in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Though she didn’t expand upon this, nor has the show’s creator Quinta Brunson responded, it wouldn’t be the first time a rapper has guest starred on Abbott Elementary. Last season, Vince Staples had a multi-episode arc.
Plus, this is all part of Sexyy’s plan to become a household name, as she previously revealed in an interview with Billboard.
I’m going to just be getting richer, bigger, more trendier. I’m going to be everywhere,” she says. “I’m going to be in it for the long haul, [but] not even on purpose, though. Even if I try to stop rapping, they’re going to take some sh*t, turn it into something, put me on the blogs, make it something it doesn’t even have to be, so Imma be here for a minute.”

Sexyy Red and Drake continue their strong collaborative bond by reuniting on one of their first link-ups. Moreover, months after she joined his It’s All A Blur trek with 21 Savage last year, she popped out as a special guest for his J. Cole assisted tour, Big As The What? This happened last night (Wednesday, March 6) for their New Orleans show, a second of which is happening tonight (Thursday, March 7) and should also feature the “SkeeYee” hitmaker. They both seemed to have a great time together onstage, and it continues their streak of meeting points and team-ups as two of the biggest hip-hop stars out right now.
Furthermore, this follows some other exciting news relating to this performance trio of Drake, Sexyy Red, and J. Cole. Moreover, the latter two were recently announced to perform at the Dreamville Festival this year, with other headliners including Nicki Minaj and SZA. Overall, it should be a very exciting and star-studded affair, and Drizzy knows this thanks to the amazing time he had at the festival last year. Fans hope that Sexyy and Cole will bring their same great energy to these sets.
Drake & Sexyy Red At New Orleans For The Big As The What? Tour: Watch
What’s more is that Sexyy Red probably has a lot to look forward to and promote for the rest of 2024. Whether it’s new music videos, new music previews, new social media snippets… or a new relationship, some fans think, there’s a lot she’s been building up to for the first two months of 2024. Hopefully there’s something big coming this summer, or perhaps around the time of the Dreamville Festival. Either way, fans on the Big As The What? tour can expect to see the 25-year-old again if they hit the Oklahoma City shows on March 18 and 19.
Meanwhile, what do you think about the Toronto superstar bringing out his “muse” for this New Orleans tour stop? What else do you want to see from these two and from other collaborators? However you may feel, drop your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sexyy Red, Drake, and J. Cole.
Sexyy Red and Summer Walker’s new music video for their track “I Might” vaguely tells the story of a woman choosing a new partner over her current baby daddy, and the conflict that this creates. However, some fans think there’s even more beneath. Moreover, the St. Louis MC recently posted a video on Twitter from the visual’s shoot, in which fellow rapper Hunxho acts as her new flame. Given the specificity of the clip, and the use of the line “I need a n***a that keep it real ’cause my last n***a was phony” in it, some fans speculated that the two are actually together, although this is completely just based on gossip and likely intentional connections.
After all, what better way to get some promo swirling around a new release than some rumors for the headlines? In addition to this, Sexyy Red also posted a couple of new snaps on Instagram whose caption is the aforementioned line above about getting a new man. Of course, she just gave birth to another child, so some fans might assume that she’s not really in the mood to start a new relationship because she’s so busy. Also, there could still be some healing left to do from the last fling, although we don’t want to speculate much on that.
Furthermore, it’s not like the “SkeeYee” hitmaker is any less provocative or sultry in her online presentation. Amid a lot of new music previews, she got social media to start a twerk thread on Twitter to hype up her next moves in 2024. Sexyy Red already came through with some new releases this year, and we’re sure that she has no plans of slowing down throughout it. It’s going to be a pretty competitive one, but not one that some club bangers and raunchy lyrics can’t participate in.
Meanwhile, she’s also inspiring others with her art, whether it’s collaborators, fans, or other industry peers. For example, Drake labeled the 25-year-old his “muse” on IG recently, and that probably goes both ways for the “Rich Baby Daddy” duo. But perhaps a stronger point of inspiration is a new boo, so we’ll see if we ever get confirmation or denial on this. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sexyy Red and Hunxho.
Sexyy Red isn’t slowing down in 2024, it seems, as not even childbirth could keep her down for a music video shoot. Moreover, her (and her baby bump) star alongside Lil Scrappy, Summer Walker, and more in the new visual for “I Might,” featuring the latter as a guest artist. For those unaware, this rap/R&B fusion appeared on the deluxe version of the St. Louis rapper’s breakout album Hood Hottest Princess. It’s a romantic tale about lust that still deals with the fallout of another relationship, and this new short film parallels that story quite well and invokes a lot of colorful settings, tropes, and narrative moments that make it a pretty engaging throwback vibe.
Of course, this is not Sexyy Red’s first music video of the year, with that fact attributed to “Rich Baby Daddy” with Drake and SZA. That cut ended up on the Canadian superstar’s 2023 album For All The Dogs, and was definitely among the most fun songs to release last year in the hip-hop mainstream. Fittingly, its visual treatment is also pretty cheeky, as it portrays the “Pound Town” hitmaker and the 6ix God as a couple with some comical interactions. However, this definitely doesn’t answer the question of whether we’ll get more long-form new music from her this year, but that’s a pretty easy code to crack.
Sexyy Red’s “I Might” With Summer Walker: Watch The Music Video
After all, Sexyy Red recently teased some new material on social media, and if you’re not already a fan, it won’t convert you. But it doesn’t have to, because it’s clear that she’s building her following and artistry based on some pretty simple but salient core ideas. Say what you will about the content matter within, but it’s a wild double standard to pretend like it’s much raunchier than most other mainstream rap right now. Maybe one day, we’ll get the genre diversion that some fans think is warranted, and we’ll see for sure whether it was the right call.
Meanwhile, what do you think about this new music video for “I Might” from the “Somethin’” spitter and Summer Walker? Are you looking forward to new music from them coming soon? However you may feel, drop your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, stay posted on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sexyy Red.
Sexyy Red is, for lack of a better term, an absolute menace for anyone in a relationship with her — at least judging by her musical output so far. While dating Red promises frequent trips to “Pound Town,” it apparently also comes with jailhouse drama, a “Rich Baby Daddy” she doesn’t seem too fond of, and other assorted mess that comes from dealing with an unabashed “Hood Rat” who truly doesn’t give a… you know.
Her new video for “I Might” with Summer Walker details her latest misadventures in romance, threatening to call up her side piece when her baby daddy starts acting up. She even takes sinister glee in pitting the two men against each other, which in the song means chuckling that her baby daddy “gon’ leavе you leakin’ in a alley” if he finds out about her infidelity. In the video, she takes the mischief a step further, cackling from the sidelines with her third option as her jilted boo thang confronts her number two, only to find himself swiftly outnumbered and surrounded by his rival’s fellow hooligans. Cinema, truly.
Summer Walker turns out to be a perfect pairing, as she’s always been with starting a fight on record, but brings the softness to the track that makes it deceptively catchy. Seriously, it’s a great song, but if I ever run into either in person, I’m running the other way.

In a landscape often associated with progressive ideologies and social activism, the alignment of rap music with hard-right conservatives can seem like a paradox. Yet, the diversity of thought within the hip hop community defies simplistic categorization. Despite the prevailing sentiment that former president Donald Trump is a purported abhorrent racist, there exists a cohort of rappers who openly express their support for him.
While some rappers support Donald Trump due to personal experience with his administration, some others do so out of a desire to engage with a controversial counter-culture movement. Whatever the reasoning, it is clear that hip hop’s political spectrum is far from monolithic, serving as a microcosm of the broader societal tapestry where divergent viewpoints coexist and collide. Here are seven prominent rappers who have expressed their support for the two-time popular vote loser.
7. Azealia Banks
Azealia Banks has remained one of the most controversial figures in hip hop for many years, frequently engaging in public feuds and beefs with other music industry veterans on social media and at private venues. Apparently, Banks is also a known Trump supporter, dating back to comments made during the 2016 election. The singer-songwriter is quoted as saying, “I think Trump is the only one who truly has the balls to bust up big business.”
The notable female rapper reaffirmed her support of Trump during a November 2023 interview, stating, “He’s just f*k*ing funnyyyy. He’s been through how many bankruptcies? How many wives? How many television shows? Seriously, nothing can take him down?”
Waka Flocka Flame is best known for making anthemic bangers like “Hard in da Paint” and “No Hands.” The rapper has also made a number of pro-Trump comments over the years, with many fans praying that the Atlanta native is joking. In 2020, Waka Flocka claimed Trump was a better commander-in-chief than Obama and has continued to tweet in support of the controversial 45th POTUS ever since. Waka Flocka Flame even received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Trump in 2021, solidifying their bizarre relationship.
Benny The Butcher recently came out in support of Donald Trump, although he offered very little reasoning as to why the twice-impeached former head of state would receive his blessing. In August 2023, Benny took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce, “I’m votin Trump 2024,” prompting a slurry of arguments from passionate Griselda fans in the replies. Benny The Butcher refused to provide any specific policy reasons why he has joined other rappers in support of Trump over the incumbent president Biden. However, he did disavow previous lyrics he rapped, which maligned Trump as a poor leader.
Further, Sexyy Red supports Trump and has even suggested that many people in her neighborhood do as well. Red provided some insight into why the former president has her support during a recent episode of comedian Theo Von’s This Past Weekend podcast. During her interview, she stated, “I like Trump. They support him in the hood. At first, I don’t think people was f**king with him. They thought he was racist, saying little s**t against women. But once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Awe, baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”
This sentiment echoes Trump’s recent rhetoric, as the former one-term president falsely suggested that his polling numbers were growing within the Black community as his arrests and indictments stacked up. The actual polling data fails to reflect the alleged support, but if Sexxy Red is correct, there may be a silent undercurrent of Trump supporters from the hood.
Lil Wayne was one of the many incarcerated individuals to receive eleventh-hour pardons from Donald Trump as the former commander-in-chief concluded his term in office. Once Wayne was freed from prison, he joined Trump on stage and offered the former president his loyalty, and has even gone on to shout him out in several tracks. While many other rappers on this list believe in Trump due to a poor understanding of politics, Wayne has a personal stake in the former president’s administration, as no other politician has offered the New Orleans native such clemency.
The Lil Wayne song “Tuxedo,” which dropped in September of 2023, offered lyrics such as “I ain’t Aaron Rodgers ’cause I’m still on that pack, n****. Still got twelve on my motherf****n’ back, n****. Came home from jail, they was tryna send me back, n****. I just called my n**** Donald Trump and that was that, n****.”
2. Kodak Black
Like Lil Wayne, Kodak Black was pardoned by Trump during the latter’s final days in the Oval Office. Since then, Kodak has supported the former president and even accused his political enemies of manufacturing turmoil to justify persecuting him. During an April 2023 Instagram Live, Kodak stated, “I feel like these people are on some other s**t. They are trying to get Trump out the way cause Trump a stand-up n***a… Trump is a real n***a. He’s a soldier… Y’all get off Trump, man.”
These comments from the rapper specifically followed Trump’s April arrest on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records, resulting in the now-infamous Trump mugshot. The image of Trump’s mugshot has been shared and utilized by both Trump supporters and Trump critics.
Lil Pump has supported Trump since the former president unsuccessfully sought reelection in 2020. During the campaign, the “Gucci Gang” rapper joined Trump on stage and hollered his signature catchphrase, “esskeetit,” to a crowd of very confused MAGA Republicans. Since then, Pump has continued to post pro-Trump messages and photos on his social media, including a recent image which shows that the rapper actually got Trump’s wrinkly visage tattooed on his upper thigh. Obviously, Pump’s support of the controversial politician goes significantly deeper than any other artist on this list, as the 23-year-old has branded himself for life.
Drake is always a cheerleader for the new generation, especially when it comes to one particular St. Louis native. Moreover, he recently called Sexyy Red his “muse” in the caption of his latest Instagram post. In it, the 6ix God shares some snaps from his Big As The What? tour with J. Cole, as well as a screenshot of a recent IG post from the “SkeeYee” hitmaker about a fight offer. “I’m fina b in stlouis for 1 week who wana fight me? Come get ponched on like yo mama usto,” she wrote on the social media platform. Considering their strong bond as collaborators and industry peers, this consistent showing of love should come as no surprise.
Furthermore, the two recently linked up for the music video to their sole collaboration at press time, “Rich Baby Daddy” with SZA off of Drake’s 2023 album For All The Dogs. It was a really cheeky and comical visual treatment, and one that seemed to resonate with die-hards across fanbases. Some on either side might find it odd that he has such a fixation with Sexyy Red, but at the end of the day, it’s two hard-working artists giving each other props. Given how huge each of them are right now, we’d bet on more collabs in the near future.
In fact, Sexyy Red opened certain shows for Drake during his It’s All A Blur trek with 21 Savage. What’s more is that she apparently took drastic measures to hide her pregnancy on this run of concerts before she officially shared it with the world. That made the “Rich Baby Daddy” video with Drake all the more notable and timely, which is a nice coincidence to hit. After all, timing a rollout and promo run in the industry is hard enough; imagine having to balance that with your maternity plans.
Meanwhile, we’re sure that this two-way praise from one party to another will continue. Would you be excited to see the 25-year-old bring the party to Drizzy’s current tour run? Let us know your thoughts on the trek down in the comments section below. Also, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sexyy Red and Drake.
Sexyy Red is letting fans know that can make money outside of rapping. The St. Louis rising star really burst onto the scene in 2023 and has been in the constant spotlight ever since. While some listeners love her raunchy and wild style, others are continuing to groan and complain about how she conveys herself. We probably will never see her apologize for what she does with her life which makes sense. However, at the same time, Red could hurt herself in the long run. Hopefully, that does not happen, but it is something to be aware of. That is especially a possibility after Sexyy Red posted some more thirst traps to her Instagram.
The “Bow Bow Bow” creator took to the platform to show off her post-pregnancy body in a small, matching, bright blue tracksuit. According to HipHopDX, many were very stunned and flat out disappointed. Sexyy captioned the photo, “I ain’t gotta rap.” One person wrote back, “We can’t open this app in public ” Another added, “Her kids gon get picked on bad in school ”
The picture out of this photo dump that is really catching people’s attention is the first one where Sexyy is pinching her genitals. It is a pretty shocking image and the caption got us thinking. What if she is thinking about creating an OnlyFans account? There are quite a few female rappers that have hopped on the bandwagon already. Especially with how she puts herself out there, it might be a real story down the line.
What are your thoughts on Sexyy red’s latest NSFW thirst trap? Do you think she is alluding to making an OnlyFans account? Are you starting to get annoyed with her actions online, why or why not? Do you think this is a bad look for her being a mother of two kids? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Sexyy Red. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on around the world of music.
