On March 28, the podcaster told his co-hosts that he believes Drake is secretly “getting paid to promote Sexyy Red.” Budden’s criticism didn’t stop there. He went on to say that he also doubts the fawned-over friendship presented by the entertainers online.
Although another member of the panel quickly agreed. Trevor “Queenzflip” Robinson pushed back. “Quick, real, quick, real quick, you said this ‘paid on somebody’s deal,’” he said. “Is this confirmed, or is this just some inside sh*t that you are saying?”

Naturally, “Get It Sexyy” deserved a music video and man does it deliver. The visuals might hit you in the nostalgia bone, as this is a clear callback to early 2000s visuals. The grainy shots, mixed in with massive crowds and choreographed dances, are a fun homage to that era of hip-hop.
What also makes this video a hit for Sexyy Red are the plethora of hilarious cameos. It would not be a 2000s-style video without Soulja Boy. He appears at the beginning to continue to the running joke that he was the first to do everything in the industry. Adin Ross also plays a nerd who is obsessed with Sexyy Red, getting off to her twerking on a chunky looking computer. It is both weird and hilarious as it makes light of their recent back-and-forth online about the two hooking up. “And I had to practice my breathing,” Sexyy Red continued. “Like, before I’d go on stage, I had to hold my stomach in and look at myself and be like, ‘Can they tell?’ Once I just was like, ‘Okay I can’t keep hiding it ’cause it hurt to just be on stage all day holding your stomach in.’ So I’m like, ‘Just forget about it.’ I was pregnant on the Drake tour and the Moneybagg tour but nobody knew. As if this summer’s music festival season wasn’t already stacked enough, Hot 97’s Summer Jam lineup has been announced.
The staple hip-hop festival will be held on June 2 at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. This year’s official headliners include Doja Cat, Offset, Sexyy Red, and Davido. But it doesn’t stop there: Method Man and Redman, Tee Grizzley, Sleepy Hallow, and 41 (consisting of Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, and Tata) are also slated to deliver bookend sets, according to the event’s flyer.
Offset has performed several times at Hot 97’s Summer Jam festival as a member of Migos (most notably 2019 and 2021). However, in June, this will be the “Worth It” rapper’s first time gracing the stage as a soloist. When asked about the possibility of bringing out special guests, he played coy. “I might do my Summer Jam set with just me,” he said. “‘Cause I deserve that.”
But he did reveal that his set will include several elements from his debut solo headline tour’s production and possibly even a moon walk tribute to the late Michael Jackson.
