Ice Spice Drops Questionable Bars In New Snippet, Fans Rip It To Shreds

It is very common for even the best and biggest rappers to lay down some horrific bars. Some of the worst kinds of lyrics are the ones when they say “I’m the s**t” and then make a disgusting comparison to bowel movements. Even the great J. Cole had a blunder like this once. According to HipHopDX, the North Carolina rapper’s track, “Dollar and a Dream III,” featured this bar. “I let you feel like you the s*** but boy, you can’t out-fart me.” There is speculation that Ice Spice references this song in a new snippet.

Not a lot of rappers had a bigger year than Ice Spice. The Bronx, New York product has become one of the names that everyone is talking about. It is going to be a challenge to top her 2023. However, she has the opportunity to do so by dropping a good debut album. For right now, that goal is not off to the best start. The snippet we mentioned is not going over well with fans.

Ice Spice Is “The S**t”

Ice Spice shared a preview of this song on her Twitter and the first lyric that came out of her mouth was, “You think you the s***? B****, you not even the fart.” Fans in the comments did not hold back one bit. One goes, “You think you the shi, you not even the fart” has to be the worst opening lyric of 2024 and we just started.” Another says, “Fast food processed music for a fast food processed generation.” While many feel that Ice is not the best writer to begin with, it looks like she has a lot of reconciling to do after teasing this.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand-new snippet from Ice Spice? After what you heard in the preview, how good or bad will this song be? What is your take on rappers using human waste bars in music? Should they stray away from them for good, or do they have their place? Will Ice Spice have a better 2024 compared to 2023? We would like to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your hottest takes in the comments section below. Latto References Ice Spice’s “Munch” On Offset’s New Album, Fans Speculate Beef

Latto’s new feature on Offset’s Set It Off cut “Fine As Can Be” has fans speculating about rap beef once more. Of course, this is all too common within hip-hop, especially femcees who are pitted against each other and whose alleged subliminals at their peers drive fanbases wild. While much of it is purely speculative and, at worst, creates tensions rather than interprets them, sometimes there can be some weight behind it. However, in the case of the Atlanta rapper’s mention of Ice Spice’s “Munch” on this song, this is probably nothing more than a harmless reference or a really bad diss if she was trying.

That n***a a munch, your booking fee, ate it for lunch,” Latto rapped on “Fine As Can Be.” “I don’t do backends, need it up front, I’m big dog, you b***hes is runts. Don’t pull wigs, don’t pull stunts, I pull triggers and I pull blunts.” As you can see, there isn’t really a direct or subliminal diss in sight on this record, at least these specific parts. Still, the very thought of an Ice Spice mention already sent fans into that zone, and they can find those hints in places they never existed in.

Furthermore, fan theories on Ice Spice and Latto’s beef because quite common this year. It first began with the latter seemingly refusing to remember lyrics by the former- at least, that’s how die-hards interpreted it. Regardless of instances of potential shade like these, the 777 artist denied any narratives that people created from these statements, posts, and the like. Since then, various other songs came out from both artists that seemingly contained subtle digs at each other. For example, on “Butterfly Ku,” the Bronx hitmaker raps “Where she at? On the floor, she getting money, but I’m getting more.”

Whether that’s a “Put It On Da Floor” reference or not, it’s clear that these rumors won’t stop anytime soon. It’s unfortunate that they’re mostly the result of fans pitting a Nicki Minaj collaborator against a Cardi B collaborator and not the result of actual direct grievances with each other. That’s not to say that they should have them, but it would at least be more genuine. Even the Nicki and Cardi cold war is mostly fueled by the fans, so we’ll see if they ever change their ways and let femcees be femcees without sparking animosity. Young Dro Drops Bars About Tory Lanez & Megan Thee Stallion Case In New Song

Young Dro was pretty cheeky and comical with his music, but he surprisingly kept that energy up while switching to a more serious topic. Moreover, he recently released a somewhat divisive comeback single that addresses the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion shooting case. Some people thought that this was a bit too bizarre for his big return, or that it’s a clear attempt to go viral. Regardless of whether he succeeded or not, it was still quite interesting to hear someone who seems quite neutral to the situation. Considering all the debate that the Internet fanned the flames of online over this, it’s a breath of fresh air.

Furthermore, that comes across because Young Dro takes a more playful approach that he balances with sharper lines. “Tory and Megan sitting in a tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G,” he raps, and then recalls how they were friendly on Instagram Live, then got drunk, and resulted in Tory shooting Meg. It’s the last bar, though, which sticks as the most poignant part of the whole ordeal. “One thing about life, it’ll teach yo’ a** a lesson: if you got a confession, n***a, tell it to the reverend.”

In other news surrounding that case, this track comes shortly after the court denied Tory Lanez bail amid his appeal. However, it seems like, according to reports, the Canadian artist is still holding out hope that he’ll be free. Still, none of this conversation came with any extra accountability, regret, or admission of guilt on his behalf. That’s what many want to see, but regardless of where you fall on that debate, many also opened up a wider conversation about the prison system and proper rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, the Houston MC is kicking her career off once again, with the release of the Cardi B collab single “Bongos.” It’s been a very tough road up until this point, what with social media haters harassing her and diminishing her experiences. Hopefully this track doesn’t open up the floodgates as much as it promotes a more nuanced conversation, as corny as some find the track to be. With that in mind, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Young Dro, Megan Thee Stallion, and Tory Lanez.

Fredo Bang Uses New Track To Shoot His Shot With GloRilla Again

Earlier this week, Fredo Bang dropped his new track “Bang Man”. In it, Fredo references several female artists in sexual capacities. “She dropping Latto, SZA’s on the floor, I tell her mop that this. I love my bitches. Still won’t fuck GloRilla cuz I’m toxic,” Fredo raps. The Baton Rogue rapper has been pretty vocal about his desire to get with the XXL Freshman. In March, Fredo tweeted “I wonder how GloRilla taste,” while tagging her in the tweet. He then followed that up by sliding into her Instagram Live comments.

“Lick your lips again I like dat shit,” Fredo could be seen saying. “I’ll be crazy about you. I’ll never hold you back,” he said in a pair of follow-up messages. IF GloRilla saw the messages, she did not directly respond. However, name-dropping GloRilla in a sexual manner has not proven to be an effective way to get her attention. GloRilla lashed out after Money Man dropped the line “Skinny bitch inside my DMs, she remind me of GloRilla,” during his track “Saweetie”. The up-and-comer said she straight-up hated the reference.

GloRilla Gets Lewd On Social Media

Of course, GloRilla may also be spoken for right now. The rapper made waves earlier this week with an NSFW post on social media. Posting up on a balcony, the rapper shared a picture of what appeared to be a man going down on her. The post stirred up a lot of divisive comments, with some people finding it “classless” while others supported the freedom of expression.

In fact, it’s become something of a regular occurrence for GloRilla’s tendency to speak her mind to get her in trouble. Earlier this year, she faced criticism for saying that young women should “stay toxic” while in their 20s. This was perceived as a bad lesson to teach children. Why GloRilla should have to worry about being a role model to children, we don’t know. But safe to say, given how outspoken and sexually liberated GloRilla is, we don’t think Fredo’s in with much of a chance.
