Quavo Cares Foundation Launches Inaugural Huncho Farms Event in Atlanta

Last night, rap sensation and philanthropist Quavo, through his Quavo Cares Foundation, introduced the inaugural Huncho Farms event in Atlanta, expanding on his annual turkey giveaways. This transformative initiative converted a conventional farmers market into an inclusive space for families in need, providing access to fresh produce, locally sourced ingredients, meats, dry foods, essential non-food items, and turkeys.

The event saw the distribution of an impressive 21,535 pounds of food, equivalent to $82,008 worth of meals, reaching 51 Georgia zip codes. Over 740 attendees from 300 families across Atlanta benefited from this initiative, addressing food insecurity in counties like Dekalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett.

Quavo Cares, in collaboration with Urban Recipe, took a holistic approach by offering a live cooking demonstration, access to community resources, and information on food stamps, cooking demonstrations, and community services. Participants received a Huncho Farms cookbook, featuring cooking tips and Quavo’s family recipes, and former Atlanta Hawks player Josh Smith contributed to the home goods stand.

The event showcased collaborative efforts with volunteers representing HandsOn Atlanta, Urban Recipe, Team Huncho Basketball, and Quavo Cares, emphasizing the power of community and collaboration. Quavo’s commitment to making a meaningful impact during the holiday season was evident, reflecting in his ongoing efforts to address food insecurity and uplift the Atlanta community.

Over the past two years, Quavo Cares has hosted drive-thru Thanksgiving turkey giveaways, partnering with GoPuff (2021), Walmart (2022), Feeding America, New Bethel Ministries, and the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The community giveback event concluded with a generous $150K grant from the Tender Foundation, supporting single black moms in Atlanta through the organization’s guaranteed income program.

In May this year, the man accused of shooting and killing Takeoff was formally charged with murder. Meanwhile, Quavo and Offset reunited at the BET Awards after spending the past two years throwing veiled insults at each other. Quavo also insinuated that a posthumous Takeoff album is in the works.

Usher Serenaded Doja Cat During His Latest Las Vegas Residency Show As An Early Birthday Gift To The Rapper

When Usher urged men not to leave their ladies around him, he wasn’t joking. His Usher: My Way Las Vegas residency has shown that he remains one of R&B’s most notorious ladies’ men. During his shows, he selects a special lady from the crowd as he sings his 2010 song “There Goes My Baby.” In the past, Keke Palmer, Saweetie, Winnie Harlow, Kimora Lee Simmons, Kim Kardashian, and Issa Rae were chosen to share that intimate movement.

On Friday, October 20, Doja Cat became the latest celebrity to be serenaded by Usher. As an early birthday gift to her, Usher spotted her out of the crowd and made a beeline straight towards her. In video shared by a concertgoer, it appears that even though Doja was seated next to her rumored boyfriend, J. Cyrus, she didn’t hold back.

At first, Doja played coy to Usher’s advances, but as the crowd cheered her on, she went full-in. She eventually stood up to dance along with Usher as she sang the lyrics to the song.

Usher’s residency is slated to end soon, surely there will be more celebrity serenades.

Offset Said His Relationship With Quavo Is ‘Good’ And Thinks A Collab Will Happen In The Future

Quavo and Offset haven’t collaborated since Migos split up in 2021/2022, but a collaboration could be in the future according to Offset. In a new interview with The Breakfast Club, Offset said his and Quavo’s relationship is “good” and that the two have made an effort to keep disagreements out of the public eye.

“That’s my brother at the end of the day,” he said. “We good though. We just spoke in Paris.” He asserted that “it’s all love” between the two, even if they won’t be “crying on Instagram,” as Charlamagne put it, anytime soon. As far as a potential collaboration, he said, “I think so,” but added that he has his own business and family issues to handle, so the timing would be key, as always.

Certainly, the two rappers are in a much better place than they once were. By last August, it appeared that their relationship was totally severed as Quavo and Takeoff promoted their album Only Built For Infinity Links. Meanwhile, after Takeoff’s death, it was rumored that Quavo had blocked Offset from participating in the Grammys’ tribute to their fallen brother, prompting a backstage brawl.

Still, the two seem to have hashed out most of their differences — at least, enough to perform their Takeoff tribute at the BET Awards without the previous fighting. While they aren’t the type to put their personal issues on the timeline (or in their music, much), if they’re back on speaking terms then new music is always a possibility, even if Migos as a group is officially defunct.
