Hip-Hop has always been a powerful force in music, but recently, there has been a growing concern about its impact on the youth. A viral video of a young boy named Lil RT rapping provocative lyrics and mentioning acts of violence has sparked a debate about whether hip-hop has gone too far. Has Hip-Hop Gone […]
Overnight Drake released his highly-anticipated new album For All The Dogs. The project seems to have delivered everything fans could want. It has plenty of intrigue with both listed features and behind-the-scenes contributors. 21 Savage, SZA, Bad Bunny, Lil Yachty, Chief Keef, Yeat, Teezo Touchdown, PARTYNEXTDOOR, and Sexyy Red all make appearances on the album. Even more big names find themselves being called out to varying degrees of disses.
Another artist who appears on the project is J Cole. He makes an appearance on the track “First Person Shooter” which is already emerging as a fan favorite. It’s the third time the pair have teamed up on record following Cole’s song “In The Morning” and Drake’s single “Jodeci Freestyle.” Earlier today, Cole’s manager made a tweet about the new track. “I would tweet a link to promote the new tuneee by Drizzy & Cole but I’m assuming by this point you already know it’s out. Enjoy this moment because it’s rare to see two people who’s been so great for so long still be this good. Also enjoy this album cause that boy Drake special,” his post reads.
Last week, Cole teamed up with Lil Yachty for a new track called “The Secret Recipe.” On the song he delivers some lyrics that many interpreted as shots at NBA Youngboy. Even though Cole’s manager denied that they were about Youngboy, Cole had even more to say about the rapper on “First Person Shooter.”
On the new song, Cole addresses the rumors of beef. He clarifies that despite the public impression, he still wanted to make a song with Youngboy. Judging by how the rapper has responded to Cole’s repeated mentions, that doesn’t seem like it’ll happen any time soon. Youngboy quickly responded to both the times he was mentioned. What do you think of J. Cole and Drake’s new collaboration “First Person Shooter”? Let us know in the comment section below.
Louisiana rapper NBA Youngboy is probably the most prolific artist in the game right now. Just a couple of days ago, he put out “Testimony,” including a YouTube video for it. The track was popping off in just a few short hours with it in the top five on the music trending page. YB’s fans are extremely loyal and extreme in general. The man can do wrong in their eyes. But, at least he knows that he will always have people wanting more from him.
In “Testimony” he appears to diss YouTuber Trap Lore Ross with this bar. “Real gangster or a fake killer? tell em “f*** with us.” A lot of rappers include a lyric like this in some way, but it has fans guessing it is a diss because of Ross’ video. He covers a lot of rappers’ alleged affiliations with gangs and did on YB called YoungBoy: Real Killer or Fake Gangster? Now, he might be sending more strays toward someone else on “Heard Of Me.” HipHopNMore has some extra details on the song below.
Some of Youngboy’s Instagram followers are making loose connections that he is sending shots back at J. Cole. Cole and Lil Yachty dropped a song called “The Secret Recipe.” Listeners were claiming that parts of Cole’s verse were in response to an NBA track “F**k The Industry, Pt. 2.” One YB fan commented under his IG post announcing “Heard Of Me,” saying, “Yb better than j col way better.” Another says, “N**** responded super quick.” However, Cole’s manager claims there were shots fired, but that is not quelling any speculations.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand new song, “Heard Of Me,” from NBA Youngboy? Is this the better song over “Testimony?” Do you think this was a response to J. Cole’s “diss” towards him? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. NLE Choppa’s resume is quite impressive even though he has only been in the rap game since 2019. Most rappers have a hard time carving out a niche and fanbase for others to grasp onto. That has not been the case for Choppa. The Memphis MC has just under 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has serious hits to his name. “SLUT ME OUT,” “Walk Em Down,” “Shotta Flow,” and countless others have millions upon millions of streams. On top of that, he has also scored some big features like Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Latto, Chief Keef, Kevin Gates, and plenty more.
Now, he wants to join NBA Youngboy in the studio for another smash hit. However, it might not be the easiest thing to do. A little while ago, NBA Youngboy was beefing with Lil Durk and dissing the deceased King Von on his album, Colors. Lil Reese then said he feels that NBA is rapping like every other rapper, in a response to DJ Akademiks’ tweet. DJ went after NBA a bit saying he was on demon time. Choppa replied to Reese saying he stamps that. However, he was siding with the Reese tweet and that Von was not there to defend himself. In an article from Complex, he says, “It wasn’t ever with me picking a side. Honestly, bruh, I barely read what Lil Reese said. I just know what he was saying was siding with my boy [King] Von.”
NLE Choppa Says He Wants To Work With NBA Youngboy
In another recent radio interview with 99 Jamz (second Via below), he shut down the “beef” between him and Youngboy. The interviewer asked him if they were cool and he said yeah. She then inquired about the two collaborating and he said, “If he up for it I’m down.” The Baton Rouge artist has yet to reply on NLE’s wishes, but hopefully the two can come to an agreement.
What are your initial thoughts on NLE Choppa saying he wants to work with NBA Youngboy? Do you think this collaboration will ever happen? Would that song do massive numbers? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. YoungBoy Never Broke Again is back with his latest song, “Testimony,” and a music video directed by Karltin Bankz. Released via Never Broke Again and Motown Records, the track follows the May 2023 mixtape Richest Opp, which debuted in the top five of the Billboard 200 chart.
With the release of Richest Opp, YoungBoy Never Broke Again cemented his status as the third-most successful rap artist concerning top-10 releases. “Testimony” and its accompanying video continue YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s trend of delivering chart-topping music and captivating visuals, reaffirming his position as one of the industry’s most influential and prolific artists.
The aforementioned Richest Opp project comes on the heels of Youngboy dropping his 33-track Don’t Try This at Home album. In addition, YoungBoy released the video for “Bitch Let’s Do It.”
Richest Opp is a 17-track album largely delivered by the rapper solo. Included in the album is “Fuck the Industry Pt. 2,” where Youngboy throws shots at Drake, Durk, J. Cole, Lil Yachty, and more. You can hear all of the album below.

Blueface recently went live with his son Javaughn, and was left disappointed when the young boy made a revelation. According to Javaughn, he doesn’t know any of his father’s music, which the rapper finds “crazy.” He grabbed the boy upon hearing the unfortunate news, noting that his son knows more NBA YoungBoy music than Blueface music. “You don’t know one song?” he asked him, to which the boy responded, “no.”
“So when you sleeping you sing NBA YoungBoy’s song, but you don’t know your daddy’s song,” he asks Javaughn. “No,” the boy replied, again. Unfortunately, it looks like Blueface’s son isn’t a huge fan of his music. With that being said, he could have another opportunity at bringing up a Blueface fan, as Chrisean Rock just had his child. Unfortunately, there’s been some drama since the birth, so it’s unclear what kind of role the rapper will play in Chrisean Jr.’s life. He was noticeably absent at the time of his son’s birth, which managed to raise a lot of eyebrows.
It looks like Chrisean didn’t want him at the delivery, and opted instead to be surrounded by “real love.” He later seemingly addressed the backlash, claiming that he’s moved on with another woman. The rapper has been “all about” Jaidyn Alexis in recent months. Things always appear to be up in the air as far as his relationship with Chrisean, however. He’s been airing his grievances about his Crazy in Love costar since she gave birth, even recently revealing that he’s not pleased with his son’s name.
Earlier this week, he also took to social media to diss the reality star for hitting the gym so soon after her pregnancy, threatening to file for custody of the child if she doesn’t pay adequate attention to him. Chrisean eventually responded to his claims, showcasing how she was actually working out in a home gym. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Blueface.
The first of September just so happens to fall on a New Music Friday, so we’re kicking the month off on a high note. Some of the biggest names in hip-hop are racking up streams on their latest singles, including Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne. We unfortunately still haven’t heard anything from Drake’s For All The Dogs album, but Queen Naija and NBA YoungBoy’s “No Fake Love” is another noteworthy track worth checking out.
Naija has been hinting at dropping a song with the Louisana native for a while now, and the pair certainly didn’t disappoint. While the 27-year-old’s stunning vocals carry us through the first half of “No Fake Love,” YB comes in with a well-crafted verse to remind us why C-Murder gave him such high praise recently. “I know you got your own, I just wanna hold you down / For me, you’d do the same, I’m who to blame, I kept fake love around,” the young star’s romantic rap begins.
“No Fake Love” from Queen Naija and NBA YoungBoy is Here
This is the third single Naija has delivered so far in 2023. Just days into January she unleashed “Let’s Talk About It,” and in mid-spring, we heard her stunning “Words of Affirmation.” Though she often ends up in the middle of internet drama that has nothing to do with her, the vocalist has been in her own lane and thriving recently, and we can’t wait to see who she’ll connect with next.
Watch the brand new visual for Queen Naija and NBA YoungBoy’s “No Fake Love” single above, and add the track to your playlist on Spotify/Apple Music. The R&B diva has put out plenty of impressive collaborations throughout her career so far, and this one only adds to her list. Read our round-up of other noteworthy releases at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
Talk s**t, but they ain’t gon’ ever say it to me Mad, because they know ain’t no replacin’ me I been there and done that, it ain’t no fazin’ me I don’t need no fake love
Multi-platinum powerhouse Queen Naija remains on a hot streak, teaming up with hitmaking rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again for the empowering “No Fake Love,” out today. Accompanied by a feel-good, VHS-inspired video, the sizzling single, which samples Amerie’s seminal 2002 hit “Why Don’t We Fall In Love” comes on the heels of two other slow-burning stunners this year in “Let’s Talk About It” and “Words of Affirmation.”
Co-written by Queen and NBA YoungBoy, “No Fake Love” kicks off with a warning: “You betta be careful,” the R&B songstress belts out before rumbling beats drop in. Over glimmering production, she continues to make her case. “I got the power to make ‘em wait for me,” she declares on the commanding hook. When YoungBoy slips in, he’s just as self-possessed—if not a little on guard. “I ain’t watchu like, then coach me,” he lets loose in his nimble flow. “I love you, but this I don’t need.” As the song slides back into the hypnotic hook, Queen gets the final word, unleashing a powerful mantra: “I’m a force by myself; every time, IMMA bet on me.”
Two Southern rappers meet for a follow-up of a song all about two crazy people trying to make it work. Atlanta, Georgia rapper and crooner Bktherula joins up with workhorse NBA Youngboy for “CRAZY GIRL P2.” This is a remake of her song “CRAZY GIRL,” which is track five off of her 2023 album LVL5 P1. It was her first album in two years where she brought on Destroy Lonely and fellow rising female star Rico Nasty.
What put her on the map were a couple of songs on Soundcloud, right around the time when the platform was putting a lot of new artists on to music fans. She began getting traction on the streaming platform in 2018 with the release of her singles “Faygo” and “Left Right”. Two years later in 2020, Bktherula’s song “Tweakin’ Together” went viral on TikTok. “LEFT RIGHT” is racking up streams with over 37.2 million on Spotify. “Tweakin’ Together” is also popular amongst the fans with 23 million plus plays.
Fans Of YoungBoy And Bktherula Like What They Hear
Both versions of “CRAZY GIRL” are about a toxic relationship and both do not even know each other’s crazy tendencies. This version remains the same but adds a melodic verse from NBA YoungBoy that matches the themes. Fans are currently in favor of the duo coming together again, “They’re perfect for each other frfr.” Another comment reads, “Yall should work together again. Yall energy and voices went so well together.” We will wait and see what happens, but we could see another collaboration sooner than later.
What are your initial thoughts on this brand new version of “CRAZY GIRL P2” with Bktherula and NBA YoungBoy? Which version do you think is better? Should these two collaborate again? We want to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.
