Meek Mill Reveals His Criminal Record Is Officially Clean

Meek Mill’s criminal history is a complicated and infamous one, and one that dogged him for much more of his career than he deserved. Moreover, he became a face for prison reform in hip-hop and has done his part to contribute to more social change within governance, communities, and more. However, the Philly MC hadn’t fully escaped these experiences when it came to his everyday life… until very recently. During an appearance on The Morning Hustle show that will air on Friday (October 27), he revealed that authorities officially, fully, and finally cleared his criminal record for good. Rick Ross was also there to celebrate this, as they were promoting their upcoming collab album, Too Good To Be True.

“My record was still showing up as if I was a [person with felony charges], if I tried to do anything, like, normal,” Meek Mill remarked. “And the system- it took a few months to go by, but I got the letter yesterday telling me that my record is officially clean.” Of course, Rozay was also very excited, and essentially acted as his hype man for this monumental moment in his life and career. “You already know that boy Meek Mill record clean!” Rick Ross expressed.

Meek Mill Announces His Clean Criminal Record: Watch

Furthermore, this is fitting, considering that back in January of 2023, Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf issued the DC4 MC an official pardon. “The Board of Pardons, after full hearing, upon due public notice, and in open session, have recommended to me, in writing, with the reason therefor, the pardon of the said Robert R. Williams,” Meek Mill’s certificate of pardon reads. “[This] recommendation and reasons have been filed in the office of the Lieutenant Governor. Given under my hand and the Great Seal of the State, at the City of Harrisburg, this 12th day of January in the year of our Lord 2023. By the governor, Tom Wolf.”

“I have taken this process very seriously,” Wolf shared in a statement. “Reviewing and giving careful thought to each and every one of these 2,540 pardons and the lives they will impact. Every single one of the Pennsylvanians who made it through the process truly deserves their second chance, and it’s been my honor to grant it. A record prevents positive forward motion in a person’s life, and can spark a repetitive cycle of defeat. I firmly believe that with restored rights, pardoned Pennsylvanians prove themselves by stepping up and giving back to our communities.” Congratulations to Meek Mill, and for more news and the latest updates on him, keep checking in with HNHH.

NLE Choppa Is Open To Working With NBA Youngboy On A Track

NLE Choppa’s resume is quite impressive even though he has only been in the rap game since 2019. Most rappers have a hard time carving out a niche and fanbase for others to grasp onto. That has not been the case for Choppa. The Memphis MC has just under 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify and has serious hits to his name. “SLUT ME OUT,” “Walk Em Down,” “Shotta Flow,” and countless others have millions upon millions of streams. On top of that, he has also scored some big features like Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby, Latto, Chief Keef, Kevin Gates, and plenty more.

Now, he wants to join NBA Youngboy in the studio for another smash hit. However, it might not be the easiest thing to do. A little while ago, NBA Youngboy was beefing with Lil Durk and dissing the deceased King Von on his album, Colors. Lil Reese then said he feels that NBA is rapping like every other rapper, in a response to DJ Akademiks’ tweet. DJ went after NBA a bit saying he was on demon time. Choppa replied to Reese saying he stamps that. However, he was siding with the Reese tweet and that Von was not there to defend himself. In an article from Complex, he says, “It wasn’t ever with me picking a side. Honestly, bruh, I barely read what Lil Reese said. I just know what he was saying was siding with my boy [King] Von.”

In another recent radio interview with 99 Jamz (second Via below), he shut down the “beef” between him and Youngboy. The interviewer asked him if they were cool and he said yeah. She then inquired about the two collaborating and he said, “If he up for it I’m down.” The Baton Rouge artist has yet to reply on NLE’s wishes, but hopefully the two can come to an agreement.

What are your initial thoughts on NLE Choppa saying he wants to work with NBA Youngboy? Do you think this collaboration will ever happen? Would that song do massive numbers? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Jay Rock Thinks That Kendrick Lamar’s Leaked Verse On “ELEMENT.” Is Real

Just a couple of weeks ago the music community was scrambling to hear a new leaked version of a song. But this was just any artist, though. This track belonged to arguably the greatest rapper of this generation and one of the best to ever do it, Kendrick Lamar. The song that had people in a frenzy was a hit from his 2017 record, DAMN. “ELEMENT.” is a fan favorite off of that tape and it is well-deserving of all of that praise. Some people were skeptical if it was real, due to the recent AI surge in music, but TDE signee, Jay Rock believes it is actually K Dot’s.

The leaked edition of the record was making waves on Twitter, with the audio having over 16 million plays. Unfortunately, you are not able to play it anymore due to copyright. The reason for all of the buzz around it was because the Compton artist took ruthless shots at his contemporaries. French Montana, Jay Electronica, and Big Sean. The Detroit rapper took the bulk of the disses with Lamar calling Sean out for being famous for who he is with, rather than his music. “You’re finally famous for who you date, not how you rhyme (boy).”

To settle the debate on whether or not the track was real, who better to ask than someone close to him? Jay Rock hopped on the Real 92.3 radio station and The Cruz Show for an interview. The host asked him if the leaked verse was indeed Kendrick and here is what he had to say. “I think it’s real man,” Rock repeatedly says. Hopefully, one day Lamar will officially release the original song, but only time will tell.

What are your initial thoughts on Jay Rock saying that the leaked version of Kendrick Lamar’s “ELEMENT.” verse was real? Did you believe that is was not AI, or did you think otherwise? Do you want that version to come out on streaming? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Usher Names, In His Opinion, The Greatest Rappers Of All Time

Usher’s in full rollout mode these days, and a new single starring Keke Palmer in its music video means more media appearances. Moreover, the R&B superstar recently stopped by the Capital Xtra radio show with Robert Bruce and Shayna Marie to talk about “Boyfriend” and what he’s been up to as an artist and individual. Of course, the hosts had to tip their caps to the year-long celebration of hip-hop’s 50th anniversary. Furthermore, they asked the Texas native to list off some of the greatest MCs of all time, in his opinion. While his picks were valid and by no means surprising, he only provided three, hinting at a staggeringly high standard for rappers.

The Notorious B.I.G., I would also say Eminem,” Usher stated. “In terms of rapport and in terms of just swag. You put on Biggie’s versus and ‘till this day they still hit as if they were just created today. His pocket, his metaphors, his story-telling, just so vivid, and just understanding what the culture is.” That assessment certainly rings true, as few voices resonate as deeply and vividly as Big’s to this day.

Usher’s “Boyfriend” Music Video

“They haven’t really moved much more from what he was talking about back then, that lets you know that he was way ahead,” he continued. “In terms of one of the fastest and most credible rappers, I’d say Busta Rhymes.” Sure, your top three list probably looks a little different, but kudos for Usher for showing massive respect to Busta. In terms of commendation from others in the game and idiosyncrasy, he definitely belongs in that upper echelon of rap. All we can hope for is that the 44-year-old works with him or Em, or flips a Biggie sample, because it could make fireworks.

Maybe matching R&B and their fast rapping wouldn’t be the best idea, but wouldn’t it be amazing to see them try? Regardless, with the Confessions artist’s track record of rap collabs in mind, crossovers certainly work in his favor. For example, he just recently had 21 hop on his other recent single “Good Good,” which also features Summer Walker. Pick up a mic and get to writing, Mr. Raymond: you just opened up the floodgates for some great link-ups in the future. For more news and the latest updates on Usher, keep checking in with HNHH.

Offset Thought Migos Should Be Higher On Billboard’s Rap Group Rankings

Offset has been making waves for a number of things he said in a new interview on Way Up with Angela Yee. He spoke extensively about his relationship with Cardi B in the wake of their new song “JEALOUSY.” He spoke about the pair’s personal life in a way that fans weren’t anticipating. The NSFW confessions left fans divided about what is important in a relationship. He also discussed his past accusations of cheating on Cardi. He blamed their lack of communication on him being “young and on drugs,” and assured everyone he’s grown a lot since then.

Another topic Offset discussed on the show is Billboard‘s ranking of the all-time best rap groups. While he had some critiques for the list he led off with one thing he agreed with, the top spot. Both he and Billboard believe that Atlanta legends Outkast, made up of Andre 3000 and Big Boi, are the greatest rap group of all time. That’s no surprise given that Offset himself is from Atlanta and has frequently cited the duo as an influence. Where he took issue with the list was the tanking of his own group, Migos. “I just feel like we could’ve got top five” he explains before going into some more details about why he thinks so.

Offset Feels Migos Are Underrated

Fans in the comments debated Offset’s claim and whether or not he was right. “The migos is not even top 10. What is this list based on ? Record sales because we cannot be talking lyrical skills and take the migos seriously,” reads one comment. “I’m definitely more of UGK / three 6 typa guy .. but he def has a point ..when migos hit the scene it felt/ sounded like almost 95% rappers started to emulate their flow / style,” concludes another comment.

Billboard dropped their list of the best rap groups of all time back in June and it immediately sparked massive debate. Clearly, even many of the artists themselves have their own thoughts on what the rankings should be. What do you think of Offset’s claims that Migos were underrated on Billboard’s all-time rap groups ranking? Let us know in the comment section below.

Peter Rosenberg Defends Method Man After Racist Caller Labels Him A “Thug”

Peter Rosenberg got into a heated exchange with a radio caller who had complained about Rosenberg being a Method Man fan. The caller, who identified himself as Greg, labeled the Wu-Tang Clan rapper a “thug.” The argument went down during an episode of the Michael Kay Show, earlier this week.

“I see this picture of Method Man in the background,” the caller said, referencing a poster of the rapper behind Rosenberg. “What’s that got to do with sports radio?” When Rosenberg asked what the caller’s issue was, he answered, “It just bothers me,” before calling Method Man a “thug.” He added: “You know his arrest record? I’m here for sports information.”

In response, Rosenberg got heated: “Greg, shut your mouth. Shut your st*pid, ignorant mouth. You know nothing about Method Man. He’s a thug? Shut your st*pid, racist mouth, Greg. How about that? Shut up. No more for you, Greg. Anyone who would look at a picture of Method Man and be offended, when you look up what he’s contributed to the world and you wanna call him a thug, you’re a racist piece of garbage.” Check out the clip below.

Peter Rosenberg Gets Into IT With A Caller

Later in the day, Rosenberg shared a clip of the incident on Twitter, asking fans whether he went hard enough. While discussing it with his followers, he further wrote: “He was offended so much by Method Man being my background that he could not talk about anything else…then he brought up a criminal record and called him a thug … im done playing games with these people … thats a racist .. lets accept it and move on.” One fan had complained about Rosenberg labeling the caller a “racist.”

Hit-Boy & Hitmaka Continue Their Beef On IG

This week brought the hip-hop world a surprising but fascinating beef between two all-star producers. Hit-Boy and Hitmaka continued their beef, which all started when the latter said that the former can’t compete with him in a radio market. Then, Hit-Boy teased some lyrics from a song with The Alchemist where he disses Hitmaka and his merits. After that, Hitmaka responded by saying that Hit-Boy is a terrible solo artist and should focus on his production. In subsequent attacks online, both producers clarified and doubled down on their stances.

First, Hitmaka published an edited video of ILOVEMAKONNEN’s clowned Tim Westwood freestyle with Hit-Boy’s face on it. Also, he included an alleged DM screenshot where the King’s Disease producer complimented his production success. “CHAUNCEYYYYYYYYYYYY CHAUNCEYYYYYYYYYY,” he captioned the post, calling Hit-Boy by his government name. “Quit f***ing playing kid YOU know I got the hit factory Now Swipe Right 2 SEE YA IDOLS EVERY TIME U RAP SALUTE TO THE WORST PRODUCER RAPPER OF ALL-TIME.” For what it’s worth, Hit-Boy responded simply with three laughing emojis in his comments.

Hitmaka Continues Beef On Instagram

On his end, Hit-Boy posted an edited picture of Muhammad Ali (with Hit-Boy’s face) knocking out Sonny Liston (with the Chicago producer’s face). “I only meant to Diss 1 person on slipping into darkness,” he captioned the post with a laughing emoji. In the comments, he continued his clarification. “I got respect for mustard metro and southside,” he wrote. Regardless, Metro Boomin allegedly responded to the shots, so maybe that wasn’t clear to everyone or he intended his jabs to be friendlier competitiveness. Also in the comments, Hitmaka clapped back.

“Pls send beats so I can help u,” he clapped back. “N***A U DID 3 ALBUMS WIT @nas & he ain’t give u one verse. Everyone knows u terrible at rapping don’t make me go rap I actually have plaques from being a rapper.” In addition, this beef couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. As Hitmaka dropped his Jim Jones collab album on Friday (March 10), Hit-Boy dropped an album of his own with Musiq Soulchild. However you feel about that debate, let us know in the comments down below and check out Hit-Boy’s post as well. Also, as always, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Hitmaka and Hit-Boy.

Blueface And Chrisean Talk Lil Baby & Pregnancy With Bootleg Kev

Alt-rap reality couple Chrisean Rock and Blueface have appeared in the news almost every day since their relationship began. The two have gone on to star in their own television series, a step up from the public shows we’ve witnessed from them for free on social media. Crazy In Love—which premiered late last year on Zeus—chronicles their turbulent lives together throughout the seven-episode production. Rock is now pregnant again after three miscarriages, and this one she intends to keep. The rappers touch base on this and more during their talk with Real 92.3’s Bootleg Kev.

The expecting mother gets defensive on the podcast as Kev questions whether motherhood will change her lifestyle. “Change what? Like what the f**k…I’m fine,” Chrisean stutters as Blueface smiles and replies “I hope so.” The 22-year-old is known for her alcohol-induced rants and violent behavior both on and off of Baddies West, even while pregnant. Though Rock denies her latest fight with two women was regarding the father-of-almost-two, spectators bashed Chrisean for partaking in the physical altercation while with child.

Blue Doubles Down On Lil Baby Comments In New Interview With Chrisean Rock

Elsewhere in the episode, Blueface formally responds to Chrisean’s text exchange with Lil Baby. Though Bootleg Kev reasons it would benefit the “It’s a Vibe” artist to network with the hip-hop heavyweight, Blue says “she knows” he’s in it for sexual favors. “That was the throw-off,” he states in response to Baby calling himself her “big bro.” “That’s not what he was telling her while he was in front of her.” He also accuses Rock of trying to “water down” what was actually said by the Atlanta superstar.

Further along, Kev asks Chrisean Rock about her seven Blueface tattoos. She currently has two neck portraits of Blue, and his government name, Johnathan Porter, inked five times from her eyebrow down to her nether region. Kev jokingly mentioned he hopes the “Dear Rock” stars will marry each other due to her permanent displays of affection. The two have disagreed over marital status in the past, which they continue to double down on in the interview. Stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from the music world.
