Jay Rock Thinks That Kendrick Lamar’s Leaked Verse On “ELEMENT.” Is Real

Just a couple of weeks ago the music community was scrambling to hear a new leaked version of a song. But this was just any artist, though. This track belonged to arguably the greatest rapper of this generation and one of the best to ever do it, Kendrick Lamar. The song that had people in a frenzy was a hit from his 2017 record, DAMN. “ELEMENT.” is a fan favorite off of that tape and it is well-deserving of all of that praise. Some people were skeptical if it was real, due to the recent AI surge in music, but TDE signee, Jay Rock believes it is actually K Dot’s.

The leaked edition of the record was making waves on Twitter, with the audio having over 16 million plays. Unfortunately, you are not able to play it anymore due to copyright. The reason for all of the buzz around it was because the Compton artist took ruthless shots at his contemporaries. French Montana, Jay Electronica, and Big Sean. The Detroit rapper took the bulk of the disses with Lamar calling Sean out for being famous for who he is with, rather than his music. “You’re finally famous for who you date, not how you rhyme (boy).”

To settle the debate on whether or not the track was real, who better to ask than someone close to him? Jay Rock hopped on the Real 92.3 radio station and The Cruz Show for an interview. The host asked him if the leaked verse was indeed Kendrick and here is what he had to say. “I think it’s real man,” Rock repeatedly says. Hopefully, one day Lamar will officially release the original song, but only time will tell.

What are your initial thoughts on Jay Rock saying that the leaked version of Kendrick Lamar’s “ELEMENT.” verse was real? Did you believe that is was not AI, or did you think otherwise? Do you want that version to come out on streaming? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Burna Boy And 21 Savage Seen Filming Music Video After Song Leak

Burna Boy and 21 Savage were beaten to the release of “Sittin’ On Top Of the World” by an online leaker. On June 22, the vintage afrobeat track was put up by a third party and widely shared across social media.

On June 23, Burna Boy released the song’s official audio on his YouTube channel. Furthermore, the song has also been made available on Spotify. At the time of writing, it has been streamed a little over 7000 times.

It’s unclear whether the duo were planning to release the track, or had their hand forced after it was leaked. However, the official audio release and Spotify drop indicate that they may have simply had their premier stolen out from under them. More evidence to this theory has appeared online, with footage of the pair apparently filming a music video together.

“Sittin’ On Top Of The World” Music Video Coming?

Shared by 2Cool2Bl0g, the brief footage shows the pair performing on a soundstage surrounded by cameras. At this point, it feels safe to say that they had intend to release “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” with or without the leaker beating them to it.

For Burna Boy, it’s his second big collab of the last 12 months. In 2022, he released “For My Hand”, which featured Ed Sheeran. Elsewhere, he also served as the featured artist on Indian rapper Sidhu Moose Wala’s “Mera Na” earlier in 2023.

Meanwhile, it’s 21 Savage’s third time as a featured artist this year. First, he featured alongside DaBaby on Gucci Mane’s “06 Gucci”. Then he joined Young Nudy for “Peaches & Eggplants”, which peaked at #74 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Footage from inside the club was shared by Our Generation Music on Instagram. However, fans in the comments were not blown away by the song. Furthermore, others felt that Drake came off as “sassy.”

In other news surrounding Drake releases, the rapper appeared to confirm that he would be featuring on Business Is Business, the upcoming album from Young Thug. In fact, Drake appears twice on the album, featuring on “Parade On Cleveland” and “Oh U Went”.

More Drake Leaks Surface Including Lil Wayne Collaboration and Beyoncé

It appears more Drake leaks have hit the internet after the PARTYNEXTDOOR collab “Bricks” leaked late last night. Additionally, three more songs leaked online and have sent the internet ablaze. The first track is titled “Against The Wind,” with some lines eerily similar to Certified Lover Boy’s “The Remorse.” However, it’s a totally different instrumental that give it a completely new feel, plus the new bars help. The second song is called “Heated” in reference to Beyoncé’s latest album. Despite a snippet floating around the ‘net for awhile, this is the full version of the track and it doesn’t disappoint.

Furthermore, the last leaked track, the Lil Wayne collab is titled “Startrax.” Guessing from the lyrics and beat it was produced by the Neptunes as well. It’s a summertime jam that was possibly a cut for the original Tha Carter V. Moreover, this isn’t the first time The Boy has had his music leaked to the masses. A while back a song with Drake and Lil Uzi leaked called “At The Gates.” that had fans everywhere going crazy. It was the first time hearing Uzi on a track with the Toronto rapper. Check out the leaks below.

In other Drake news, the rap star recently shared his dad’s ancestry results on Instagram. The 6ix God revealed that the test results showed that he was mainly Nigerian with a few other nationalities as well. On Sunday night Drake shared the results saying, “This is my dad’s results, does this mean I’m a Naija man finally?” asking his followers. Henceforth, Denis Graham’s results show that he is 30% Nigerian. Not only that it also showed he had 28% for Cameroon, Congo, & Western Bantu Peoples, 11% for Ivory Coast & Ghana. He had another 8% for England & Northwestern Europe, along with other small percentages for Scotland, Mali, Benin & Togo, and Germanic Europe.

Lil Uzi Vert & Playboi Carti’s “Sauce Real Hard” Surfaces Online

Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti are two of the biggest artists in hip-hop right now. Firstly, you have Uzi who has been teasing fans with a whole new project. Secondly, you have the enigmatic Carti who dropped Whole Lotta Red at the end of 2020. Overall, these two artists are at the top of their respective games. Moreover, they have collaborated with one another in the past. They even teased a joint album, however, it never actually came to fruition. Although now, Uzi is trying to revive some of that hype.

In a recent social media post, Uzi teased a new collab with Carti, saying that the two were ready to take over. Of course, this sent fans into a complete frenzy. Any time Uzi teases some new tracks, you know that he is going to start a commotion. When you add Carti into the mix, that only becomes expounded. While nothing has been confirmed in regard to their work together, fans have now been blessed with some leaks online. In fact, social media has been buzzing today with a 96-second snippet from the unreleased track “Sauce Real Hard.”

Lil Uzi Vert x Playboi Carti

With this track, we get some pretty hard-sounding production. Moreover, it appears as though Uzi is the focal point of the track. Throughout the song, he gives a calculated yet repetitive flow that contains a lot of energy. Additionally, Playboi Carti’s contributions are actually quite unique as well. One could even say that the artist debuted a whole new flow on this track, which just adds to his mystique. It is simply too bad that we do not have an official mix or a longer version to consume.

For now, it is unknown where this leak came from. There is no indication if this came from a particular session, or if it is even new. That said, there is no doubt that Uzi and Carti have created quite a bit of buzz. Hopefully, they provide some clarity on their efforts, very soon. Let us know what you think of this snippet, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from around the music world.

Ice Spice Responds To Snippet Of New Song Leaking Online

Ice Spice is undeniably one of the hottest names in the game right now. Ever since the arrival of her viral single, “Munch (Feelin’ U)” last August, she’s demanded everyone’s attention through her catchy songs and charisma.

Unfortunately, she’s no stranger to her music leaking on the internet though.

On Tuesday (January 10), a snippet of one of her unreleased songs began circulating on social media. The track is allegedly a collaboration with fellow Bronx rapper, Lil Tjay.

However, the 23-year-old caught wind of the unauthorized leak. Taking to her own Twitter account, she expresses her feelings about it. “stop leaking my sh*t lmfaooo this a bop tho,” she says in a quote tweet of the since-deleted snippet.

Since the aforementioned “Munch (Feelin’ U),” the Bronx native has dropped two other highly successful singles. The first of which is yet another viral hit in “Bikini Bottom,” arriving in October last year. The SpongeBob-inspired track continues to be popular on TikTok. Her most recent and her first release of 2023, is “In Ha Mood.”

Additionally, she also appears on one of Maryland rapper B-Lovee‘s singles from last year, “One Time.” J.I the Prince of N.Y and Skillibeng feature on the posse cut as well.

Ice Spice has yet to release her debut project. However, it seems as though she’s gearing up to release a six-song EP sometime soon.

“I’m about to put out an EP. It’s about to be, like, six songs. Bikini Bottom’s on there, and then there’s some that people haven’t heard. It’s gonna be a vibe. Visuals coming with it too,” she says while appearing on the Rap Caviar podcast in November.

It will certainly be interesting to hear her first project. Hopefully it arrives in the near future.

Lil Yachty’s “Sonic Ranch” Album Leaks In Full: Report

Lil Yachty has one hell of a run in the final stretch of 2022. In October, he unleashed the viral internet smash “Poland,” and the wonky track landed a spot on HNHH’s SOTY ranking. Before the hype from “Poland” could even die down, Drake and 21 Savage released Her Loss. To many fans’ surprise, Yachty’s presence was all over the collaborative effort, from songwriting credits and adlibs to production. Unfortunately, Lil Yachty’s luck may have run out over the holidays. On Christmas Day, the innovative artist suffered a major leak.

Weeks after the massive Future, Young Thug, and Young Nudy leak, one of Yachty’s upcoming projects reportedly leaked in full online. Yachty tweeted a sad emoji in response to the unfortunate news, but he has since deleted it.

Fans react to Lil Yachty’s forthcoming album, Sonic Ranch, leaking in its entirety.

According to the person who claims to have leaked Yachty’s work, the album is called Sonic Ranch. It’s a 13-track project, and it was allegedly supposed to release alongside a Concrete Boys mixtape in January. The leaker claims to be one of the Quality Control rapper’s disgruntled engineers.

“By the way, I am doing this because Yachty does not pay me enough money for engineering his work when he is in my LA studio,” the leaker wrote online. “If you’re reading this Miles you know my cashapp.”

In contrast to the alleged engineer, countless Yachty fans have voiced their support for the Atlanta rapper on social media. Check out some of their responses below.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time this has happened to a prominent Quality Control Music artist. City Girls’ sophomore album, Girl Code, leaked online in its entirety on June 19, 200. Since a release date had not yet been announced, QC decided to drop it the following day. Despite the lack of promotion, Girl Code still debuted at 29 on the Billboard 200. The album spawned hits like “Pussy Talk” and “Jobs,” and for what it’s worth, it also faired pretty well critically.

Neither Coach K nor P have addressed the situation yet, so we’ll have to wait and see how they respond to Yachty’s Sonic Ranch leaks. Keep it locked to HNHH for more information, and sound off in the comments if you’re excited for the project.

Future, Young Thug, & More Are Victims Of Massive Leak

Songs and even full albums leaking have long been an issue in the music industry and will be for the foreseeable future. Specifically, within hip-hop, it seems as though leaks happen on a regular basis.

In fact, there’s an entire website, leakth.is, dedicated to updating the ever-growing list of leaked songs. Then there’s the side of SoundCloud and Twitter that’s fixated on the leaks of artists like Playboi Carti and Juice WRLD.

A common sentiment is that the leaked material is some of the best of the artist’s career. Especially with artists like Carti, who have a hardcore fanbase.

Future & Others Hacked

Hackers have recently gotten a hold of a huge collection of songs before they’ve been released yet again. Young Thug, Future, Gunna, 21 Savage and Young Nudy are among the targeted artists this time. The leaks began to circulate on the internet on Tuesday night (December 6).

The artist hit the hardest this time around was Atlanta spitter Young Nudy. A total of 172 of his songs have been accessed and exposed to the internet without his approval.

The 29-year old took to his Instagram Stories to express his frustration. “I don’t know if y’all know but I’m not like other rappers, bro. I’m 100% fitting to take my time out to find out 100% who exactly is leaking my music and I’m 100% gonna pull up to whatever studio it is and I’m 100% gon’ beat yo a**,” he said.

On the flip side, a leaked song can occasionally benefit an artist. A recent example of a leak working wonders for an artist is Lil Yachty and “Poland.”

Upon the leak of the clearly experimental track, it rapidly went viral on social media due to Boat’s wobbly, high-pitched hook on the track. The 25-year-old says the song wasn’t even finished.

The song currently has over 64,000 streams on Spotify, while the accompanying music video has 20 million views. It’s gone on to be one of the biggest hits of his career.
