Sexyy Red Recreated The Infamous Clinton–Lewinsky Scandal For Her Latest Video Teaser

Given the upcoming presidential election, politics are on the top of most Americans minds and the includes Sexyy Red. The “U My Everything” rapper has gone on the record to share her support for former President Donald Trump (then seemingly walked it back).

But it appears for her forthcoming music video, Sexyy Red pulled inspiration from another politician. Yesterday (June 21), she took her official X (formerly Twitter) page to post a Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky-inspired teaser for the next In Sexyy We Trust visual.

In the clip, Sexyy Red put her own spin on the infamous sexual contact scandal that rocked the 1990s. “I’m doin dis for our ancestors 😂,” she wrote.

Despite the mock Oval Office setup, the faux presidential seals plastered everywhere, and a framed photograph of Clinton on a nearby table, some users online weren’t able to catch the references.

“Who da hell is this,” wrote one user.

Others slammed Sexyy Red for claiming her actions in honor of Black suffrage. “You’re moving us backwards, Ms. Redd,” penned one user.

Monica Lewinsky hasn’t issued a response yet. However, this isn’t her first time being referenced by a musician—most notably on Beyoncé’s song “Partition.” Lewinsky responded then, and she likely will respond now.

Cardi B’s long-awaited sophomore album isn’t slated to be released until 2025. However, that hasn’t stopped the “WAP” rapper from dusting off the microphone for several notable collaborations. But just as she dropped off guest verses, Cardi has picked up a few rap beefs along the way.

Yesterday (June 21), during the 2024 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, Cardi addressed those dust ups and more as she accepted the night’s Inspiration Award.

“I just want to say thank Jason [Lee] so much for this award,” she said. “I’m really my biggest critic and I always say this, ‘Nobody has it harder than in the industry and in every genre than a female rapper, and I’m going to tell you why. You have to have the best verse. Not only that, you have to kill the charts. On top of that, your personal life has to be perfect, or then the opp b*tches are going to use that against you.”

Although Cardi didn’t outright name any of those foes, users online quickly took it as a jab at either BIA or Nicki Minaj (maybe even both).

Cardi went on to clap back at those who continue to use her husband and fellow rapper, Offset’s past infidelities, to hurt her.

“‘Your husband. Your husband.’ Shut up,” she said. “I make more money than all the n****s you’re f*cking. So you know sometimes it is hard to be yourself. It is hard to want to push yourself into the music because sometimes I don’t like showing weakness in my music because, ‘You can’t see the p*ssy in me b*tch.’”

Jonathan Majors was not the only celebrity to receive a special award at Hollywood Unlocked‘s Impact Awards ceremony last night (Friday, June 21) in Beverly Hills. Moreover, the one and only Cardi B went onstage to accept the “Inspiration” accolade, and delivered a heartfelt and relatively unfiltered speech to thank HU‘s Jason Lee and her supporters. However, she also included a dismissive message against those who would rather see her downfall than her success. At the end of the day, the Bronx femcee knows that she is her own biggest critic, and works that much harder so she can prioritize her own wishes and desired changes rather than those of her haters.

“‘Your husband. Your husband.’ Shut up,” Cardi B continued her speech, seemingly referencing how people use their relationship drama and cheating accusations to discredit them. “I make more money than all the n***as you’re f***ing. So you know, sometimes, it is hard to be yourself. It is hard to want to push yourself into the music because sometimes I don’t like showing weakness in my music because you can’t see the p***y in me, b***h.”

Meanwhile, Cardi B’s sophomore album remains in limbo, with opposing rumors indicating that it’s either still slated for this year or it will arrive in 2025 instead. Either way, we doubt that hype for it will ever get any easier to manage or more subdued until we get a concrete announcement. Hopefully it lands sooner rather than later, as it’s quite difficult to continue to justify a six-year wait in many fans’ eyes. But like these “opp b***hes,” maybe all we need is some patience and empathy.

Latto Shades Ice Spice With “Think U The Sh*t” Cake

It’s no secret that Ice Spice and Latto don’t get along, and based on one of the Georgia-born rapper’s latest posts, their feud doesn’t appear to be dying down anytime soon. Earlier today, Latto took to Twitter/X with what seems like a direct jab at her fellow femcee. She shared a photo of a poop-themed cake congratulating her for headlining this year’s Hot 107.9 Birthday Bash in Atlanta. The shade was thrown in her caption. “Think I’m the sh*t, b*tch ?????” it reads.

Obviously, this is a reference to Ice Spice’s track “Think U The Sh*t (Fart),” which many speculated to contain bars aimed at Latto. “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up,” she raps on the song, seemingly referencing Latto’s hit “Put It On Da Floor.”

Latto Reignites Ice Spice Feud With Direct Twitter Jab

Latto later clapped back with “Sunday Service,” which some thought was an Ice Spice diss track, prompting the Bronx MC to fire even more shots on “Gimmie A Light.” It’s unclear what led to this latest post, though it’s apparent that she’s not trying to dodge any smoke. At the time of writing, Ice Spice has yet to respond. She’s currently gearing up for her new album Y2K!, however, which is scheduled to drop on July 26 of this year. It’s unconfirmed whether or not she plans to shade anyone on the LP, though she’ll surely have plenty of opportunities.

As for Latto, she’s been teasing an upcoming track since early this month, but it seems to be more of a love song than a diss track. A release date for that has yet to be announced. Kendrick Lamar’s rumored upcoming music video, which might be for “Not Like Us,” is catching some apparent flack from Drake fans and general detractors. Moreover, reports recently indicated that he hired sheriff deputies for heightened security at the shoot, which some corners of social media thought was hypocritical, cowardly, unnecessary if his connects are as deep as he says, and other conspiratorially negative descriptors. However, many online were quick to retort with the loss of Nipsey Hussle years ago and plenty of other examples of violent escalations and situations when it comes to rappers out in public. All in all, the common Internet sentiment reflects an understanding that this is nothing special or condemnable, and that haters are missing the point.

Still, if that’s not an angle about this supposed Kendrick Lamar music video that you subscribe to, there are many others to consider. For example, new footage recently emerged of Bobbi Althoff in Compton with YG and others, which many took to mean that she’s either on set for this visual or will straight-up appear in it. Of course, if this ends up being for “Not Like Us,” it would seem like a very ironic cameo that could easily blow back in folks’ face. Speaking of security, though, Drake recently sent a celebratory message to his main bodyguard, OVO’s Chubbs, via his Instagram Story. While it didn’t outright reference the Kendrick Lamar beef or any associated topics, it is one of his first public statements after “The Pop Out.” As such, many folks took Drizzy’s acknowledgement of “that s**t coming back around” as a subliminal allusion to the feud. Whether or not that’s true is for the tinfoil hat crew to determine, because either way, it’s not the response many anticipate.

Meanwhile, considering that Kendrick Lamar’s Juneteenth concert included a tribute to Nipsey Hussle, it’s no surprise that he would be so cognizant of staying safe and up-keeping proper and necessary security protocol. Yesterday (June 21), Prince William and gang decided to celebrate his birthday by attending the “Fortnight” singer’s The Eras Tour stop at Wembley Stadium.

Today (June 22), photos of Prince William, Princes George, Princess Charlotte, and Swift backstage were shared online.

“Thank you, Taylor Swift, for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour,” wrote a representative of The Royal Family.

In Swift’s flick, she was sure to include her beau Travis Kelce, who was spotted singing along in the crowd by concertgoers.

“Happy Bday M8,” wrote Swift. “London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝”

Just like in Swift’s performance across the US, The Royal Family celebrated Swift’s arrival by having service people from the British Army and The Royal Corps of Army Music perform “Changing of the Guard (Taylor’s Version)” a cleverly named cover of Swift’s hit song “Shake It Off.”

1090 Jake Theorizes On Why Young Thug Might Not Have Paid For YSL Woody’s Lawyer

1090 Jake has a lot to say about Young Thug and YSL’s ongoing RICO trial, especially as some internal conflict seems to affect the case. Moreover, during a recent interview with DJ Vlad on VladTV, he theorized on why he thinks Thugger isn’t paying for YSL Woody’s lawyer. Vlad brought up his alleged conversation with Gunna’s lawyer, who is currently representing Donald Trump, concerning the difficulties of pleading the Fifth as a result of possible federal indictments. Jake claimed that Woody acted in an ill-informed and perhaps manipulated way in court, since he fired his public defense lawyer during proceedings.

Furthermore, 1090 Jake suggested that Young Thug might not have the authorization to pay for counsel for crucial codefendants like Woody, as they could possibly testify against him in court. Vlad chimed in to counter with defendants being able to choose their payment sources, but Jake maintained that it might not work out in Thug’s to fund a legal team that might eventually move against him. Both individuals, despite their different perspectives on this specific matter, called this case a “circus” and think that appeals and mistrial rulings will come soon. This specific question of Woody is due to the many narratives that emerged upon his testimony, including the arrest of Thugger’s lawyer Brian Steel and accusations of witness coercion against the case’s judge, Ural Glanville.

1090 Jake Speaks On Young Thug & YSL Woody

Elsewhere concerning this RICO trial, Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk recently offered a vague and confusing message for fans. “Should I set the record straight or let the world think what they wanna think?” he wrote on his IG Story, leaving many fans scratching their heads as to whether this has anything to do with the case. For those unaware, Unfoonk pleaded guilty to certain charges last year, resulting in a 12-year sentence with ten of those being on probation. This caused much controversy around potential snitching accusations, so fans want answers as quick and as clearly as they can get them.

Meanwhile, it looks like Judge Glanville is here to stay. He did not approve of motions to recuse him from the trial, and it seems like he’s committed to continuing the legal process and seeing it through himself. Diddy Gave Cassie’s Friend A Concussion With Hanger, Ex-Bodyguard Alleges

After disturbing footage of Diddy assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassie surfaced online last month, the Bad Boy Records founder has been hit with a slew of additional accusations. Aside from even more lawsuits, various former collaborators and peers have come forward to share their memories of the mogul, including Roger Bonds. Bonds worked as a bodyguard for Diddy for several years. He shared some shocking stories about it during a recent interview with VladTV.

One time, for example, he recalls reaching out to Cassie’s close friend Kerry Morgan after learning he was named in the songstress’s lawsuit against Diddy. At the time, Morgan told him she hadn’t spoken to Cassie since 2018. She alleged that Diddy had thrown a wooden hanger at her, giving her a concussion. She also claimed that at the time, Cassie didn’t back her up. For this reason, she told him she stopped talking to Cassie altogether.

Roger Bonds Recalls Alleged Conversation With Kerry Morgan

Bonds says that in the lawsuit, Cassie accuses Diddy of having put hands on one of her friends and giving her $50K to keep quiet. After speaking with Morgan, he came to the conclusion that she must have been the friend mentioned in the lawsuit. “I put two and two together and said ‘Okay, this is Kerry.’ Because Kerry said she didn’t say nothing, and I was wondering why she never said nothing.”

He went on to claim that Diddy hid a lot of his allegedly abusive behavior with NDAs, and that this situation was no exception. “They can’t mention it publicly… But somebody else can.
