Sadly, much of hip-hop’s media, fandom, and social media activity can’t help but feed into desires for a “catfight” or two. Moreover, femcees often deal with forces that put them against each other, whether that’s a misinterpreted competitive spirit, omissions, or constant comparisons. But a lot of the time, these accusations aren’t reflective of any real conflict or drama: just a chance to stir something up. For an example of this, look no further than the City Girls’ latest interview. While speaking to Cosmopolitan for their ironically named Cheap Shots show, many fans thought that they indirectly disregarded Cardi B, Doja Cat, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Specifically, this was during their answer to a question about going through eight female collaborators in their career’s history in as little time as possible. Yung Miami mentioned Kim Petras, Latto, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Muni Long, Ciara, and Lola Brooke in response. “That’s all… I don’t got no more. I think that’s all the female artists,” the podcast host remarked incorrectly due to a slip in memory in that 30-second timeframe. When a behind-the-scenes set worked pointed out Meg and Doja, the Florida duo laughed and moved on, as if to clown themselves for forgetting in the first place.

Yung Miami Responds To Fans Looking For A Fight

Still, this didn’t sit well with some fans online, who immediately assumed their omission of these artists was deliberate. But Yung Miami is tired of these constant black-and-white expectations to either always shout out artists or combat them. On Twitter, she blasted fans once again for taking her words out of context and aggrandizing them. “We literally had 30 seconds to remember the [people] we collaborated with in the spur of the moment lol,” Caresha expressed on Wednesday (November 15). “It was [supposed] to be fun. Y’all [people] really make up ANYTHING STFU!” If she’s dissing you, you will definitely know for sure.

Megan Thee Stallion is no stranger to working out in the gym, whether she wants to get stronger or just work on keeping her booty in top shape. Yet, in a new video on Instagram, she revealed that she’d started doing Pilates.

The video opens with Megan prepping her workout by drinking green juice, while hilariously having Family Guy playing in the background.

“Pilates is not for the muthaf*cking weak,” Megan said in her voiceover, as she is seen standing up and working on her muscles. “These little b*tches that be doing Pilates, they might kick your head off with one swift kick. B*tch, I don’t want to f*ck with no b*tch who do Pilates.”

While she continues narrating, she also details how she had to lift a ball with her feet, per the Pilates trainer’s request. “Look how my legs are shaking,” Meg points out, before commenting at another part of the video, “I’m whooping Pilates’ ass cuz I ain’t gonna let Pilates whoop me.”

Megan also has some footage of her throwing in cardio and some weighted sit-ups into her workout video — that way she is working all aspects of her body.

“You wanna do some lunges because that’s what makes the booty sit up,” she added, ending the video by working out on her butt, before relaxing with some salmon and a Topo Chico.

The backlash from Megan’s fans seemed to come pretty swiftly. Fontaine had to limit his Instagram comments to prevent even further fan backlash from making its way to him. One person who is standing by Fontaine though, is his current girlfriend Jada Kingdom. She shared a picture of some flowers Fontaine got for her on social media seeming to affirm her support for him. Easily her most personal song to date, Meg unleashes all of her demons that she has been doing battle with for quite some time. Many listeners, even Joe Budden, had nothing but praise for it.

Now, to build upon the hype of the song, Megan decided to bring an interesting twist. If you have heard it, you know that includes some guitar, including some killer shredding toward the backend. Billboard got some quotes from LaPlante and Stringer, as both thanked Megan for the opportunity. In the song, she seemingly made several allusions to the aftermath of Tory Lanez’s trial and perhaps even her presumed ex, Pardison “Pardi” Fontaine, cheating on her. Not to mention, weeks before releasing “Cobra,” Megan Thee Stallion settled her years-long lawsuit against 1501 Certified Entertainment and became an independent artist (as reported by Billboard). In other words, can’t nobody tell Hot Girl Meg nothin’ right now.

But she just told her Hotties what’s next on Instagram. On Wednesday night, November 8, Meg released “Cobra (Rock Remix)” featuring Spiritbox, a Canadian heavy metal band, alongside a brand-new visualizer.

“Cobra” already had rock-charged undertones, but the remix predictably amps up the guitar riffs and adds a verse from Spiritbox’s lead vocalist Courtney LaPlante, who ethereally sings, “I am shedding my skin / I need to harden my heart / To protect myself from the pain / Leave me alone in the dark / I am shedding my skin / I need to harden my heart / To protect myself, but the pains remains within.”
