Last year, Diddy faced a series of damning lawsuits alleging a wide range of sexual misconduct. While it began with accusations leveled by Cassie, that suit was settled very quickly and in following proceedings very few other notable names were implicated alongside Diddy. That hasn’t been true of the most recent series of allegations which has already roped in names like Stevie J, Yung Miami, and Nicki Minaj. But the newest lawsuit features some more direct allegations. While Meek Mill and Usher aren’t mentioned by name, it didn’t take fans long to find out that they were being discussed.
Investigations into the accusations made in the newest suit feature some descriptions that don’t do a great job of hiding who they’re talking about. It alleges that Diddy spoke on having sexual relations with two other notable figures in addition to Stevie J. The lawsuit mentions “Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj” and “who performed at the Super Bowl and had a successful Vegas residency.” Fans pretty easily deciphered that it was talking about Meek Mill and Usher. In the wake of the revelation, some have brought up a Kanye West interview from back in 2022. In this particular clip he mentions them both. Check out what he has to say below.
Fans might remember the clip from when it went viral just a few years ago. West goes from angry shouting to hysterical laughing across just a few minutes. He begins by calling out various rap figures that he believes were sent after him as part of some kind of contract. The rant connects to a conversation about his daughter allegedly being hidden from him. The situation wasn’t resolved until Travis Scott gave him the address she was at.
But by the end of the recording West is laughing hysterically. He’s seemingly very amused by the idea that Meek Mill was “sent after him” by someone. What do you think of the old audio of Kanye West talking about Meek Mill and Diddy? Do you think he was trying to tell fans that something was going on behind the scenes? Let us know in the comment section below.
It was revealed a few days ago that Diddy (real name Sean Combs) is facing a sexual harassment and assault lawsuit filed against him by former collaborator Rodney “Lil Rod Madeit” Jones. Since then, some have made note that Meek Mill and Usher appear to be referenced in the lawsuit.
Why Was Meek Mill Mentioned In A New Diddy Lawsuit?
Mill is not directly mentioned in the lawsuit. However, one excerpt from it reads, “Mr. Combs informed Mr. Jones that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with rapper[5] (REDACTED), R&B singer[6] (REDACTED), and Stevie J.” This is according to a report from XXL, which obtained a copy of the lawsuit, and also according to a video of internet personality DJ Akademiks looking over the actual lawsuit. The footnote for 5 reads, “He is a Philadelphia Rapper who dated Nicki Minaj,” and the footnote for 6 says, “He performed at the Superbowl and had a successful Vegas residency.”
Some people connected the dots and came to the conclusion that the notes seem to identify Meek and Usher as the redacted names.
In a statement shared with XXL, Diddy’s attorney Shawn Holley responded to the suit, saying, “Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday. His reckless name-dropping about events that are pure fiction and simply did not happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to garner headlines. We have overwhelming, indisputable proof that his claims are complete lies. Our attempts to share this proof with Mr. Jones’ attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, have been ignored, as Mr. Blackburn refuses to return our calls. We will address these outlandish allegations in court and take all appropriate action against those who make them.”
While speaking on publishing issues in music, Hitmaka revealed that he has an issue with DJ Mustard.
Appearing on Way Up with Angela Yee, Hitmaka revealed he was working under Mustard on a song, that ended up being “Whatever You Need.”
“I was working under DJ Mustard early in my career and did a record and I gave it to Mustard,” Hitmaka said. “We ended up not working together anymore and he went and reproduced the record and hook because it was a sample. That turned into ‘Whatever You Need,’ Meek Mill, Chris Brown, and Ty Dolla $ign.”
Hitmaka revealed he was able to recover his publishing once he got leverage and advised everyone to have a lawyer on retainer.
Druski emerged as the ultimate winner Super Bowl Sunday, clinching $1 million on PrizePicks during the game. His victory came after competing against fellow celebrities like Meek Mill, Cam Newton, Josh Hart, and Suga Sean in the PrizePicks Super Sweat contest.
Meek Mill and Rick Ross finished their 2023 on a strong note with their Too Good To Be True album, boasting 17 songs with guest appearances from the likes of Teyana Taylor, DJ Khaled, French Montana, Vory, Fabolous, and more. We’re curious to see what the Philly native will bring to the table in the new year, besides his work with Fivio Foreign on their joint “Same 24” single earlier this month. Even if Meek only delivers features, it sounds like he’ll still be making major money moves. According to a recent tweet from the recording artist, he makes a minimum of a quarter of a million dollars for each of the verses he gives out.
“Every time I do a verse I charge $250K and up,” Meek bragged via Twitter/X on Tuesday (January 23). “If you got $150K on sight and I like the song we can swap it out,” the 36-year-old added, raising some doubts among social media users. “Every time rappers post their feature prices like this publicly I be feeling like they just saying the one price they were able to get a label to pay for one time,” one person speculated beneath the original post.
Of course, putting his monetary achievements on blast isn’t the only post on Meek’s Twitter that’s been stirring up attention. After inquiring about how fans in countries like South Africa and Nigeria are able to listen to his music, he was heavily clowned. “I was asking how they listen to music in Africa because I wanna handle my business none of my contracts say they have rights to distribute me in Africa… basically looking for the money trail? [I don’t know] what platforms [are] used in South Africa lol,” he wrote when addressing his haters.
If you’re curious what Meek Mill spends his growing fortune on, we know that at least part of it goes toward taking care of his loved ones. Earlier this week it was reported that the “Uptown Vibes” hitmaker purchased his mother a third house, which she couldn’t be more grateful for. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.
On January 20, the “Ima Boss” rapper prompted his followers on X (formerly Twitter) to submit questions, and he’d answer them truthfully. One of the questions posed to Meek surrounded his relationship with former Maybach Music Group collaborator Wale. Meek immediately shut it down when asked if the pair had any issues.
“Hell no,” he wrote. “We had our arguments before… years back. But I came in this game getting money with him. I’m not holding any grudges against my people. And for what?”
Hellllllllllllll no… we had our arguments b4 years back but I came in this game getting money with him …I’m not holding no grudges against my peoples.. and for what??? https://t.co/mwwJn9kyDL
Similarly, during a sit-down with Drink Champs in October 2021, Wale also dismissed the fable. As host Nore asked him about reports that Rick Ross and Meek Mill had him barred from entering their private section at a nightclub, Wale laughed off the story.
“I don’t know sh*t about that,” he said. “That sh*t don’t even sound real to me. I talked to both of them n****s all the time. I ain’t hear nothing like that. If I ain’t hear nothing like that, I can’t say.”
Not that this has been cleared up; maybe the two will finally give supporters a new track.
Meek Mill is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.
Brooklyn’s multiplatinum rapper Fivio Foreign has kicked off the year with a bang, teaming up with Meek Mill in their latest track, “Same 24.” Departing from his usual lighthearted style, Fivio takes on a more serious tone, offering a candid reflection on his journey. Meek Mill joins in, sharing his perspective emerging from a similar environment in Philadelphia.
The accompanying official video, directed by Kid Art, unfolds in Fivio’s hometown of NYC and features the two rap heavyweights. “Same 24” captures a raw and honest narrative, shedding light on the challenges and growth each artist has experienced to reach their current status. This collaboration marks a significant moment in Fivio Foreign’s career as he continues to expand his artistic range and connect with audiences on a deeper level.
In a highly anticipated collaboration, Fivio Foreign and Meek Mill have joined forces once again to drop their latest single, “Same 24.” The track, following their energetic 2020 drill collaboration “Demons & Goblins,” marks a distinctive departure in both sound and approach, offering fans a fresh perspective on the musical synergy between these two dynamic artists. The inception of this collaboration gained momentum following a viral Twitter discussion that posited Fivio Foreign and Meek Mill as each other’s equivalents in their respective cities. The theory not only fueled fan speculation but also set the stage for what would become an impactful studio session between the two artists.
“Same 24” delves into uncharted territory, weaving a narrative that transcends conventional soundscapes. Fivio Foreign’s signature drill style takes a backseat to a more introspective and contemplative approach, while Meek Mill injects his trademark intensity into the verses. The result is a track that resonates with authenticity and versatility, showcasing the multifaceted talent that both artists bring to the table.
Moreover, Fivio Foreign’s lyrics, including poignant lines like “If everybody demons, I’ma call this Hell,” provide a glimpse into the raw and unfiltered storytelling that defines the track. The verses touch on themes of struggle, success, and the resilience that accompanies the journey from adversity to triumph. Meek Mill, a seasoned rap veteran, complements Fivio Foreign’s narrative with his own brand. His verses embody the spirit of Philadelphia, adding depth and authenticity to “Same 24.” The collaboration not only bridges generational gaps but also serves as a testament to the ever-evolving nature of hip-hop.
As fans immerse themselves in “Same 24,” they are treated to more than just a collaboration; it’s a narrative that unfolds with every lyric and beat. Fivio Foreign and Meek Mill have not only solidified their musical partnership but have also offered listeners a vivid portrait of urban life, expressed through their shared experiences in the same city. In conclusion, “Same 24” is not just a song; it’s a testament to the chemistry between Fivio Foreign and Meek Mill, as well as a celebration of their shared roots and journeys.
Quoteable Lyrics:
If everybody demons, I’ma call this Hell How I get rich off of a skill that I taught myself? I remember when I couldn’t even afford this belt I ain’t had the best drip, but I wore it well Yeah, I brought that pain with me I’d rather sleep alone than have the wrong bitch layin’ with me Different walks of life, but niggas is from the same city I take him out the game for good, that nigga keep on playin’ with me
Former Dreamchasers member Dean has come forward to publicly accuseMeek Mill of attempting to blackball him.
Dean Speaks Out
After Meek Mill recently announced a DreamChasers compilation album, an Instagram live dated Jan. 7 of Dean, a former associate, resurfaced where he vents his frustrations. He expressed disappointment that Meek Mill failed to include him in the upcoming compilation album.
Dean stated:
“I don’t want what he got. I told him everything you got, I want that sh*t for you.”
He also added that he has no plans to release more music with the “House Party” rapper as their beef continues. Dean also added that Meek Mill was a “selfish nut” and a cornball.” He also said that he can’t listen to his music due to him “lying on his name.”
‘Did I Rob Your House?’
During the live video, Dean also mentioned the Philadelphia rapper accused him of robbing his home in the past, adding that Meek lied in many of his lyrics and lived vicariously through him. Dean said:
“Did I rob your house? Say it. Say it wasn’t me. B*tch ass n*gga, I ain’t robbed your f*cking house.”
Dean would later reveal that friends and associates of Meek Mill have distanced themselves and excluded him from various social circles.
“Nobody likes me no more. Everybody looks at me like I’m some crazy ass dude. I aint nothing but a good dude.”
Meek Mill responded in the comment section, saying, “Why you aint say this when you seen me?” and “the mushrooms crazy,” suggesting that Dean was under the influence.

Dean Brings Up Nicki Minaj
Additionally, Dean recounted an alleged physical altercation between Meek Mill and his former girlfriend, Nicki Minaj. According to Dean, Meek Mill drove Nicki into the woods and left her there, causing her to cry.
“That n*gga a put her out in the woods. We were out in Jersey somewhere in the woods. That n*gga put her out the house, it’s dark and shit. She cried right here (taps shoulder) am I lying Nicki?”
In 2020, the Queen of Rap accused Meek Mill of abuse, which was three years after their breakup. As of now, Meek Mill has not responded to Dean’s Instagram live on any of his social media platforms.
