Did Lil Yachty Diss Lil Uzi Vert? Alleged Uncensored Leak Says Yes

For the most part, Lil Yachty manages to stay out of the drama surrounding him in the music industry. Like any famous person, though, he can’t totally avoid controversy. Earlier this month, the Georgia-born lyricist was accused of throwing shade at fellow rapper Lil Uzi Vert. The rumours began after Yachty debuted a new song on Drake’s Table For One Sirius XM radio show. It included some eyebrow-raising bars that were censored to shield the target’s name from listening ears.

“No matter how bad they want the collab, I ain’t friends with U–,” the version that was played on air goes. When hip-hop heads took to Twitter to insinuate that Lil Boat could be shading the “Just Wanna Rock” hitmaker, he defensively shot back at them. “[You] guys are delusional,” Yachty told internet sleuths at the time. “[You] ni**as go around living your life acting like [you] know us,” he further ranted. “S**t is od weird, y’all be grown men too… On here tryna piece s**t together, don’t be knowin’ nothing. Get a job.”

Lil Yachty’s Alleged LUV Diss Surfaces Online

However, on Tuesday (October 17) afternoon, an alleged snippet of the same song – without the name censoring – began circulating. In the video above, Yachty clearly sings Uzi’s name before the 10-second mark (if the leak if legit, that is). “And he was fighting for his life saying he didn’t diss [them] 😂😂,” one Twitter user laughed while pointing out the irony. “This could be AI, right?” another person speculated. We don’t have clear answers just yet, but it likely won’t be long until the “Act Up” writer speaks on the situation.

The rumours of beef between Lil Yachty and LUV from earlier this month were quickly overshadowed that same weekend by gossip about a potential marriage between the Philadelphia native and City Girl JT. We still don’t know the exact status of their relationship, but a noteworthy change to her IG profile gave us an interesting hint. Read more about that at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Lil Uzi Vert Shares Vague Message For Fans, Possibly Teasing Music: “The Substance Is Finally Back”

One of the more elusive artists in modern rap is none other than Lil Uzi Vert. They have been known to constantly tease new music over the course of their career. Even though they have tons of material released, the past six years have been a little different. Die-hard Lil Uzi Vert fans had to wait three painstakingly long years for Eternal Atake. However, quickly after that, they and Future teamed up for their collaboration project, Pluto x Baby Pluto. Then, Uzi went into hibernation for another three-year hiatus.

They delivered their genre-pushing record the Pink Tape to many mixed reviews. Since the release, Lil Uzi Vert promised that if their latest record went number one on the Billboard chart, a new project would come out. Well, the fans responded, as it reached that mark. Now, we are anxiously waiting yet again for either Barter 16 or Luv Is Rage 3. Uzi has already put out a possible track for the latter of the two with “NFL” a few weeks ago on YouTube.

A post shared by The Shade Room (@theshaderoom)

The Philadelphia rapper could be following a similar pattern from 2020. In an Instagram post from theshaderoom shows them sending an indistinct message to the fans. Uzi says, “Was having 2 much fun these recent years and didn’t experience the feeling once felt even tho having fun is a great thing.” They continue, “My life just been put on a reset mentally and emotionally… the substance is finally back [broken heart emoji] it’s a gift and a curse.” Their supporters are expectedly confused. One sums it up, saying, “I’m . . . . Confused 😭 this is too vague to even TRY to assume if he’s referring to music or relationship and it’s to late to even care .. goodnight.”

What are your initial thoughts on Lil Uzi Vert’s unclear message on social media? Do you think they are hinting at one of their upcoming projects, a new single, or something else? DJ Khaled’s Nickelodeon-Approved ‘Supposed To Be Loved’ Video Stars Child Versions Of Future, Lil Baby, And Lil Uzi Vert

Ever since Puff Daddy employed child actors to portray The Notorious B.I.G. and himself in Biggie’s “Sky’s The Limit” video, it’s become one of rap’s favorite video formats. It’s been utilized by Danny Brown, Macklemore (twice!), and Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Pharrell to enormous success. Add DJ Khaled to that list, as the new video for his ‘Til Next Time single “Supposed To Be Loved” presents pint-sized versions of the producer and his guests Future, Lil Baby, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Created in partnership with Nickelodeon — where Khaled is an eternal fixture thanks to his past participation in the Kids’ Choice Awards and willingness to get slimed for a good cause — the kid-friendly video sees TikTok star Julian Shapiro-Barnum interviewing the actors about love in the style of his popular “Recess Therapy” videos. Their answers are typically innocent yet astute and hilarious and their performances are likewise adorable (its pretty obvious they only barely know the words, but they make up for it in enthusiasm). The Lil Uzi stand-in even has a little costume gem glued to his forehead. The video also premiered on Nickelodeon,l ikely giving Khaled a little more cachet with his own two kids.

Nickelodeon played a pretty big part in the spread and popularity of hip-hop with millennials thanks to shows like All That and Kenan And Kel embracing the culture with their theme songs and musical performances, so it’s nice to see them carry on tradition.

Lil Uzi Vert Is Living The Rockstar Life In Their New Video For ‘NFL’

Lil Uzi Vert has had an eventful year. This summer, they dropped their highly anticipated Pink Tape album, which boasted hits like the Jersey Club banger “Just Wanna Rock” and the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Endless Fashion.” But it looks like only months after Pink Tape dropped will a new era of Uzi will soon be upon us. Last night (September 29), the rapper dropped a new song called “NFL,” which stands for “Never Fall In Luv.”

On “NFL,” Uzi keeps their heart on lock, coping with pain and doing their best to avoid future heartache.

“Big body, I feel no pain, I just spiked my soda like I’m in NFL / B*tch don’t call my phone, you heard I’m doin’ well / I don’t give two Fs, like a Fendi belt,” they rap on the song’s chorus.

The song’s accompanying visual features Uzi living the rockstar life, as he goes on shopping sprees, performs for fans, and runs through an emotional minefield, rife with trippy special CGI effects.

It’s likely that the song will appear on Uzi’s upcoming album, which is thought to be the third installment in their Luv Is Rage album series. Uzi teased Luv Is Rage 3 during their set at Listen Out Melbourne 2023 when asked about the album by a fan.

“You know I only drop Luv Is Rage when my heart is hurting,” they said. “It’s about that time. But you know, right now.”

In the meantime, you can see the “NFL” video above.

Lil Uzi Vert Gives Fans First Taste Of “Luv Is Rage 3” With NFL

Eclectic Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert is already on their way to dropping more projects. It has only been three months since they put out their first project in three years with Pink Tape. Although quite a decent audience was not really feeling Uzi’s blends of rage, trap, and metal, fans are still chomping at the bit. So much so, that two more are expected to be hitting streaming, hopefully, in the coming months.

Uzi has teased the Barter 16 and third installment in the Luv Is Rage relentlessly. Whether it be at concerts or on social media, they are promising it will be soon. In the meantime, we have a new single, which according to Genius, is expected to land on Luv Is Rage 3. “NFL,” which stands for “Never Fall In Luv,” gives us a good idea of how a fair amount of the project will sound. HipHopNMore caught wind of the song dropping.

Listen To “NFL” From Lil Uzi Vert

In addition to the song, they have also put together some visuals for it. On YouTube, it is already number 10 on trending in music, with over 585,000 views. Uzi is using an interesting flow and video game-esque beat, which they are no stranger to. They first gave fans notice that a song would be dropping a couple of days ago on their Instagram. “NFL vid30 0N Th3 W@Y [goat emoji] (never fall in luv) [broken heart emoji.” Fans are already digging the song and you can check it out for yourself above.

What are your initial thoughts on this brand new single, “NFL,” from Lil Uzi Vert? Based on how this sounds, will Luv Is Rage 3 be a better listen than Pink Tape? When do you think Uzi will put out this sequel? Is Barter 16 much farther away from coming out? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. With that in mind, be sure to leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments section below. Big body, I feel no pain, I just spiked my soda like I’m in NFL
B**** don’t call my phone, you heard I’m doin’ well (Well)
I don’t give two Fs, like a Fendi belt
Whippin’ up these babies, I mean, can I change your b****?
That’s yo’ b****, not my concern, b**** (Not my concern, b****, ‘cern)
