Lil Uzi Vert Said They Are Qutting Music After ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ For A Surprising Career Change

Lil Uzi Vert’s latest Luv Is Rage 3 update offered fans some potentially disappointing, but possibly exciting news. After confirming that the album is on the way in early November, Uzi now says that the album will be the rapper’s last, with an eyebrow-raising career change planned for the future.

In an interview with TMZ, Uzi explained why Luv Is Rage 3 will be their final album, saying, “I want to make music. I love making music but I don’t really wanna make music like that no more… I want to make women’s clothes. I’ve been working in my office in my house.”

Uzi’s interest in fashion is no surprise; in June, their album Pink Tape even featured a song with Nicki Minaj called “Endless Fashion.” Uzi teamed up with Nicki again on her album Pink Friday 2 for “Everybody,” reaffirming their chemistry is at its peak.

However, it’s been equally clear that the Philadelphia rapper has been feeling disillusioned with the music business, even going so far as disputing their inclusion on the Rolling Loud California 2024 lineup. They’ve since been replaced by Future and Metro Boomin.

Lil Uzi Vert Previews New Song With Drake Interpolation

Ever since they dropped Pink Tape earlier this year, Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing a follow-up. They’ve been working on two separate projects, though which one is coming first has shifted back and forth. For a while, it seemed like Barter 16 would be the first follow-up. Uzi began working on the Young Thug-tributing album earlier this year. The admiration for Thugger clearly goes deep as Uzi worked with some of his frequent collaborators like London On Da Track and even recreated a famous Thug album cover for the project. Despite claims that the album has already been turned in to Uzi’s label, news on it has dried up.

Now fans are expecting LUV Is Rage 3 to be released first. That’s because Uzi has upped the teases in recent weeks as they’re clearly working on the project. They’ve previewed a few different songs recently on their Instagram story and Live. Recently, they shared a new song that had fans really excited because of what it interpolates. The new song features snippets of “7969 Santa” from Drake’s new album For All The Dogs. The specific portion sampled comes from Teezo Touchdown and features Uzi singing over it. Listen to the full clip of the new song below.

Lil Uzi Vert’s Newest Snippet

Even though they haven’t released much material recently, it’s still been a busy time for Lil Uzi Vert. Earlier this week they made a surprise appearance in their hometown of Philadelphia alongside Travis Scott. Scott is currently on his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour in support of his new album UTOPIA which has featured a few notable guest appearances.

Uzi also may have another hit on their hands alongside Nicki Minaj. The pair teamed up for a new song called “Everybody” from Nicki’s new album Pink Friday 2 over the weekend. The track has caught on immediately with videos of fellow celebs like North West, Lizzo, and Fivio Foreign who all shared videos of themselves dancing to it on social media. The track is also pulling off impressive streaming numbers ahead of almost every other deep cut. What do you think of Lil Uzi Vert sampling Drake on a snippet of new music for LUV Is Rage 3? Lil Uzi Vert Promises New Album Is A Throwback To Their “Original” Style

Earlier this year Lil Uzi Vert dropped one of the biggest rap albums of 2023. Pink Tape saw Uzi teaming up with rappers like Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, and Don Toliver. The album also saw Uzi trying their hand at making music with a more rock-oriented style. Other tracks on the album feature metal bands Bring Me The Horizon and BABYMETAL as well as a cover of a song by legendary nu-metal band System Of A Down.

Ever since that album dropped, thought, Uzi has been teasing other projects coming soon. They spent months teasing a Young Thug-tributing project called Barter 16. Promotional tactics for the project included Lil Uzi showing up at public events dressed up as Young Thug and also working with frequent Thugger collaborators like London On Da Track. London was actually the executive producer of the album and tweeted months ago that the project had been turned in, though there hasn’t been a follow-up on it yet. During a recent show, Uzi tried to give fans another peek behind the curtain at their new music.

Lil Uzi Vert Returning To An Old Sound

Lil Uzi Vert has also been teasing another new album. In this case, it’s the third project in their LUV Is Rage series. The mixtapes date back to very early in their career and during a recent show, they told fans that the project will return to that sonic style. Specifically, they said that the album will be a return to their “original” sound.

Recently, Lil Uzi Vert found themselves embroiled in a speculative beef with Lil Yachty. Fans thought the two were sending each other bad vibes after a leaked Yachty song features lyrics about Uzi. But when Uzi took the chance to explicitly praise Yachty in an interview earlier this month it put the beef speculations to rest. What do you think of Lil Uzi Vert’s promising a return to a familiar sound on LUV Is Rage 3? Let us know in the comment section below.

During a recent stop on Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape Tour, they took some time to address the crowd — with a sweet speech, and an even more exciting announcement: that their next album, Luv Is Rage 3, is coming soon.

“As long as I got respect from y’all, that’s all that matters,” Lil Uzi Vert said. “You know how many people in this sh*t used me, disrespected me, that stole my whole style when I never gave a f*ck? As long as I got y’all, we gonna keep this sh*t going.”

“All I ever wanted was respect,” they added. “I never wanted to be the richest person in the world. I never wanted to have the biggest diamonds. None of that. I just wanted all respect. So, I’mma keep rocking for now, and Luv Is Rage 3 is on the way.”

Just this summer, Uzi dropped their album, Pink Tape — but is keeping very busy to have even more new music scheduled. “You know I only drop Luv Is Rage when my heart is hurting. It’s about that time. But you know, right now,” they previously teased during a September festival set.

Lil Uzi Vert Expresses His Frustration With Music: “I Just Wanna Breathe”

In a candid Instagram story, rap sensation Lil Uzi Vert shared how he really feels. He recently opened up about his ongoing battle with the pressures of the music industry and the toll it has taken on his personal life. The 27-year-old artist declared that he’s in “album mode.” He said he has one more project to turn in before he can genuinely smile. This message provides a glimpse into the inner struggles and ambitions of the talented rapper. Fans have gotten an insight into the emotional turmoil he’s endured lately. “I’ve Been Distant From Everyone Lately Even If They Are Standing Right Next To Me,” he wrote in the IG story.

Lil Uzi Vert has achieved remarkable success in his music career, but his journey has been far from smooth. His post hints at the weight of expectations, the constant scrutiny, and the demanding nature of the music business that have left him feeling distant from those around him, even when they are physically present. “I’ve been getting judged from day 1,” he writes, “I never respond to negativity.” This showcases his unwavering commitment to his artistry and his fans, despite the challenges he faces. His next album, Luv Is Rage 3 is the next highly anticipated body of work from the rapper. It also marks his last. However, it seems he can’t wait to turn it in. “Why not stop now? Because business doesn’t work like that,” he continued. “I have one more album 2 turn in, after that I finally can genuinely smile.”

Uzi Says He’s Retiring After “Luv Is Rage 3”

While Lil Uzi Vert acknowledges his exceptional talent and the perks that come with his success, he also reveals a longing for a simpler, more fulfilling life. “The most attention I could get is by dropping music … I understand y’all don’t believe me but it starts with me to show you that i’m actually serious and i’m very stressed out. And done with so many voices controlling my life. Like I never lived for me,” he said. “I would give up all the money and perks that this comes with to live a perfectly normal life, I’m okay with it. Im not as close to my family as I should be. My relationship isn’t in the best shape. I JUST WANNA BREATHE.”

Moreover, his words reflect the relatable struggle of many artists who find it challenging to balance their personal lives with the demands of their craft. “This time, I won’t let anybody stop my journey to happiness or being one of the greatest musicians ever,” Lil Uzi Vert vows. He believes that his final album will help fans remember who he truly is, both as an artist and as a person. The rapper’s post is a raw and sincere expression of his vulnerability. This dispells any misconceptions that fame and fortune have made his life stress-free. In an era when the music industry can be relentless and unforgiving, Lil Uzi Vert’s candid message is a reminder that even the most successful artists have their own battles to fight.

Here’s Why Lil Uzi Vert Is Retiring

Lil Uzi Vert is currently on the road sharing their long-awaited album, Pink Tape, with supporters around the country. Although the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper is having a blast touring, Uzi’s latest onstage confession revealed that they are planning to step away from music sooner than fans would like. Yesterday (October 23), during the Pink Tape Tour stop in Chicago, Illinois, Uzi announced his retirement plans to the sold-out crowd. So, here’s why Uzi is retiring from rap.

“I came to this conclusion not too long ago,” Uzi said in a video captured by a concertgoer. “I was gonna wait ’til later to say it, but, you know, I’m dropping Luv Is Rage 3. And Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album.”

After the crowd began to moan in disapproval, they interjected, “Relax. It’s okay.”

Uzi continued, “After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.” The crowd erupted in applause to support the entertainer’s desire for normalcy.

Uzi began making music in 2010 and found commercial success five years later at the age of 20. Since then, they haven’t been able to space the limelight. So, Uzi’s wish to renounce their fame makes sense. Uzi didn’t reveal when this fade from glory will begin.

Lil Uzi Vert Reveals Retirement Plans

Lil Uzi Vert is an artist who has been known to make fans rip their hair out. Overall, this is because Uzi frequently promises new music and does not deliver. For instance, they recently said an album called Barter 16 was on the horizon. This was supposed to be a tribute album to Young Thug. However, all of these weeks later, the album has yet to be released. In the eyes of many fans, this is a project that will never come out. Instead, they have set their sights on Luv Is Rage 3, which seems to be more viable.

As it stands, Uzi is currently on the Pink Tape Tour where they have been performing in front of sell-out crowds. It has been a truly amazing tour thus far, and fans have been enjoying themselves. However, the latest piece of news to come out of the tour is not going to impress people. Below, you can see that Uzi is detailing their retirement plans. Essentially, once Luv Is Rage 3 drops, they will go on tour and will never be seen again after that.

Lil Uzi Vert Has It Figured Out

Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album,” Uzi explained. “No, relax. It’s okay […] After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.” This may not be the most ideal news, however, it is easy to understand why the artist would want to go in this direction. After all, touring and making albums can be incredibly difficult. Moreover, when you are as famous as Uzi, sometimes, you can get extremely tired of the daily grind.

Lil Uzi Vert Says They’re “Sick And Sad” While Previewing New Music

After it seemed for weeks like Lil Uzi Vert was gearing up to drop a new album, they’ve been pretty quiet in recent weeks. After releasing Pink Tape earlier this year Uzi turned around and began teasing a follow-up pretty much immediately. Firstly that took the form of a third album in their Luv Is Rage series. But after a few weeks of teasing that they shifted into building up hype for the Young Thug inspired Barter 16 project.

Now, it appears both albums could still be on the way. In the past few weeks, Uzi has teased both projects. Firstly, they shared a behind-the-scenes clip from a music video that was meant for Barter 16. Just a few days later during a concert, Uzi promised fans that Luv Is Rage 3 is still on the way soon. Lil Uzi Vert Is Living The Rockstar Life In Their New Video For ‘NFL’

Lil Uzi Vert has had an eventful year. This summer, they dropped their highly anticipated Pink Tape album, which boasted hits like the Jersey Club banger “Just Wanna Rock” and the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Endless Fashion.” But it looks like only months after Pink Tape dropped will a new era of Uzi will soon be upon us. Last night (September 29), the rapper dropped a new song called “NFL,” which stands for “Never Fall In Luv.”

On “NFL,” Uzi keeps their heart on lock, coping with pain and doing their best to avoid future heartache.

“Big body, I feel no pain, I just spiked my soda like I’m in NFL / B*tch don’t call my phone, you heard I’m doin’ well / I don’t give two Fs, like a Fendi belt,” they rap on the song’s chorus.

The song’s accompanying visual features Uzi living the rockstar life, as he goes on shopping sprees, performs for fans, and runs through an emotional minefield, rife with trippy special CGI effects.
