New Kendrick Lamar Leak Seemingly Makes Reference To Drake’s Mom

Kendrick Lamar has been quiet since he dropped “Like That.” The aftermath of his verse has been absolutely chaotic, with diss tracks popping up seemingly every day. Regardless of who tries to clown Drake on Instagram, though, the main event remains Lamar vs Drake. They are the big two, now that J. Cole has taken himself out of competition. Drake responded to “Like That” with “Push Ups,” and now fans are waiting for K. Dot to fire back. A new leak suggests he may already be loading up his weapon.

On April 18, a snippet of an untitled song surfaced on X (formerly Twitter). The snippet is 22 seconds long, and features Lamar (or what sounds like Lamar) crooning over a soul beat. The mood is silly, as people can be heard laughing in the background, but the lyrics give reason for pause. “Sweet p***y Sandra, please come home,” the rapper sings. “Sweet p***y Sandra, please don’t go, whoa whoa.” Lamar fans may not the similarities between the snippet and “untitled 04,” which appeared on the untitled, unmastered project. The big difference here, though, is that Lamar is singing the name of Drake’s mother, Sandra Graham.

Kendrick Lamar Sings About A Woman Named Sandra

Drake is famously close with his mother, and mentions her frequently in his music. She made a cameo in the music video for “Started from the Bottom,” and even had the song “Sandra’s Rose” named after her. It’s worth noting that very little information about the leak has been uncovered. Genius has made a lyrics page under the name “Sweet P***y Sandra” (what else), and the producer credited on the song is DJ Dahi. Lamar and Dahi have collaborated on “Money Trees” and “LOYALTY,” so it makes sense they’d reunite for such a monumental a diss.

The lack of information does force one to question the leak’s validity, however. Kendrick Lamar was just linked to a diss track titled “One Shot,” and days after its release, a TikTok producer admitted he made it with AI. It’s getting harder to tell the difference between what’s real and what’s not, so a healthy amount of skepticism is good with leaks like “Sweet P***y Sandra.” If it is real, though, the battle between Lamar and Drake is going to turn into an all out war.

Normani Previews Snippet From Long-Awaited Album, But Fans Aren’t Messing With It

Overall, Normani has been an artist who fans have been dying to hear from again. The former Fifth Harmony member has been dropping loosies and singles since 2018. However, none of them have landed on an album. Her fan’s anticipation for this debut solo project has been building since that year and it makes sense. She has proven to be a formidable vocalist and someone that can definitely pull in numbers for the R&B genre. However, with all of this time in between that promise of a solo effort, it appears that fans are growing tired of waiting and waiting. Case and point are the reactions that Normani has received for her new snippet.

The Neighborhood Talk reshared a clip from Normani previewing some music from Dopamine. The lyrics of, “Bling bling blaow,” along with the club-friendly beat are turning a lot of people off. One fan comments, “Bling bling who?!?!? Normani babe we trying but cmon.” Another chimes in, “This would’ve been fire in 2008.” Additionally, someone else goes, “At this age, I am not singing out bling bling blou… I’m just not doing it.”

It seems like the last time fans were truly excited about Dopamine was when she announced that title and its accompanying artwork. That happened back in February of this year on her Instagram. “Cryingg typing this rn. DOPAMINE THE ALBUM.” However, Normani never included the release date and still did not in March when fans were reaching out asking for some other news on the album.

What are your thoughts on this new snippet from Normani’s upcoming album? Do you disagree with the majority’s reaction to the song, why or why not? Has her new project lost all of its hype and potential? When do you see her dropping this? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Lil Nas X Continues To Tease Upcoming Mixtape

While listeners are certainly feeling Lil Nas X’s latest teaser, not all of his upcoming music has been well-received. Sexyy Red Previews New Song Alongside Soulja Boy Dancing Video

Sexyy Red was one of the biggest breakout stars in all of rap last year and she’s proving she won’t slow down any time soon. She’s already had a pretty big 2024 so far, giving birth to her second child. The story of her childbirth was spun into a fictionalized version for the visuals of her Drake and SZA collaboration “Rich Baby Daddy.” The song dropped last year on Drake’s For All The Dogs and has been a stable hit in the top 40 of the Hot 100 ever since. But now she’s shifting her focus back to releasing her own new music.

She got that train started with a teaser she shared to twitter. She shared a snippet of new music alongside a video that fit the vibe perfectly. The clip she chose is a throwback video of Soulja Boy in 2008. While he’s doing some choreography to a different song in the original video, it fits perfectly with the snippet Red shared. The video has already racked up more than 22k likes as fans build up hype for her next release. The track doesn’t have a release date yet but it seems to be on the way very soon. Check out the snippet she shared below.

Sexyy Red’s Danceable New Snippet

The music video for “Rich Baby Daddy” has spawned a full month of hilarious back and forth between Drake and Sexyy Red online. It started when Red joked that Drake should have to pay her child support. The jokes didn’t stop when Drizzy started buying her designer bags and leaning into the joke that their association was starting to get expensive. It’s probably paying off in the end though as the song has more than 260 million streams on Spotify.

Jay Rock Shares New Snippet Filled With 2pac References

Last month, Top Dawg Entertainment promised that it would be a big year for the label. They revealed that all of their major artists would be releasing new projects in 2024. That big year is already underway as ScHoolboy Q released his first new album in 5 years earlier this month to major critical acclaim. SiR has his third album for TDE dropping later this month while SZA just shared “Saturn” the lead single from her upcoming SOS deluxe edition LANA. At some point Jay Rock is expected to join that release schedule and he just shared snippet to prove that he’s hard at work.

The snippet he shared has a vintage hip-hop flavor and isn’t shy about who it’s inspired by. Across just a few bars that he shared there are numerous references to 2pac. “Why we gotta die a legend like 2Pac?/ .38 special like Bishop, get your crew shot,” the opening lyric reads. It features a reference to Bishop, Pac’s character from the movie Juice. “t’s been 30-something years and they still beefing?/ Hit different when that bad blood be the reason,” the snippet concludes. Check out the preview of new music he shared below.

Jay Rock Shares A Snippet Of New Music

Before the big Top Dawg Entertainment news dropped earlier this year, Jay Rock revealed an upcoming project fans are very excited about. He confirmed that there was a TDE compilation project in the works featuring most of Black Hippy. When the full announcement of everything the label was planning dropped earlier this year, that compilation was included among the scheduled releases.

Jay Rock’s last album “Redemption” dropped back in 2018. Since then he’s released a handful of singles and appeared on a number of remixes. But he hasn’t yet confirmed any details about a new album. What do you think of Jay Rock’s new snippet? Do you think he did a good job at channeling a similar energy and intensity to 2pac? Let us know in the comment section below.

Cardi B Breaks Silence With New Song Snippet After Fans Think She’s Gone “Missing”

Cardi B might be gearing up for her highly-anticipated second album, at least that’s what fans think. Over the weekend, the rapper left BardiGang startled after she was MIA for a few days, leading to the launch of the #WhereIsCardiB campaign. Thankfully, it seems as though all is well with the Bronx MC and new music could actually be on the way shortly. Although she hasn’t necessarily been active on socials as of late, she reposted a Reel from @cardiallaccess, a fan page on Instagram, who shared the snippet with the caption reading, “After the anonymous tip we believe we may have located Cardi B. Check in tomorrow for a special update,” along with the hashtag #CardiCountdown.

So far, there isn’t much information to go off of outside of the snippet. The brief teaser sounded rather promising, as she raps, “Only L I take comes after YS, oh man.” Sure, it’s not much to base it on but after songs like 2023’s “Bongos” and her appearance on Latto’s “Put It On The Floor,” it feels like 2024 deserves to have new music from Cardi B. After all, we’re slowly approaching the sixth anniversary of her debut album, Invasion Of Privacy

Cardi B Is Found!

Part of the reason her fans launched the #WhereIsCardi campaign. Over the weekend, images surfaced of missing posters of Cardi B after she blacked out all of her social media profile pictures. Naturally, some fans were concerned but many also took it as a sign that an album rollout might be on the way. While Cardi’s continued to keep fans updated on the status of the project over the past few years, she hasn’t shared any concrete details surrounding what we could expect from her. However, Offset recently urged her to drop her forthcoming album.

Speaking of Offset, we could imagine a new album provides an excellent opportunity for Cardi B to set the record straight, especially as it pertains to her family life. She and Offset have called it quits, though they’ve been spotted together since with the “WAP” MC even admitting that they slept together after breaking up. We’ll keep you posted on any more updates. Sexyy Red Teases New Music On Social Media

Sexyy Red is back in the game following her recent pregnancy and birth, for which many congratulations are in order. But if you thought she was coming into 2024 with any less energy than she had in her breakout 2023, it seems like you’d be sorely mistaken. Moreover, the St. Louis MC recently returned to social media to preview some new music, in which she plays with some faster flows -– at least, at first. Then, the full drum beat, dark keys, and heavy bass set in, and it sounds like another club-ready banger like the ones she dominated with last year.

Sure, this doesn’t reinvent the wheel when it comes to the Hood Hottest Princess, but it’s exactly the kind of music that fans loved and expected. Hopefully Sexyy Red takes her time to fully craft it before dropping, as she’s got a lot on her plate for this year. The 25-year-old is one of the performers slated for The Roots Picnic, which raised many fans’ eyebrows. After all, many probably didn’t expect Questlove to be a “Pound Town” resident, but a good festival lineup should always be diverse and timely, right?

Sexyy Red’s New Music Snippet: Listen

In addition, these new music teases follow her new music video with Drake and SZA, “Rich Baby Daddy” off of the Toronto superstar’s 2023 album, For All The Dogs. It resulted in a lot of memes and artist responses, such as Sexyy Red joking that she would put Drizzy on child support and people joking about their partnership in the visuals. It’s great to see that some of the later hits of last year still have some mileage, especially one as fun and bubbly as this one. Most importantly, it keeps momentum up for whatever she’s going to drop next.

Meanwhile, what do you think about this new music that the “SkeeYee” hitmaker is teasing for her fans? Does it match to the energy of her latest single with Nardo Wick, “Somethin’“? Whatever the case and however you may feel, drop your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, as always, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on Sexyy Red.
