Jim Nantz and Tony Romo are two of the best in the business when it comes to football broadcasting, which is why they were tasked with calling Super Bowl LVIII for CBS this weekend. So, all due respect to them and everybody else involved in the CBS broadcast, but Nickelodeon’s Super Bowl coverage was so clearly the most fun way to watch the big game.
Need proof? Take a look at the celebrities who were in attendance on the Nick broadcast. Offering some shots of CGI fish characters made to look like famous folks, Nick showed off aquatic music stars like Billie Eelish, Doja Catfish, and Herring Styles in the Bikini Bottom stands, along with other celebs like LePrawn James, Clamuel L. Jackson, and Fin Diesel.
Nick had a ton of fun beyond that, too. “Sweet Victory” finally made its first appearance at the big game. On top of that, SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Star were on hand to provide in-game commentary, alongside Noah Eagle and Nate Burleson. At one point during the game, the camera cut to Leonardi DiCaprio in attendance, and Tom Kenny (voicing SpongeBob as he has since 1999) had a great quip: “Leonardo DiCaprio, 25. That was about his dating history,” a perfect reference to this classic SpongeBob scene.

Ever since Puff Daddy employed child actors to portray The Notorious B.I.G. and himself in Biggie’s “Sky’s The Limit” video, it’s become one of rap’s favorite video formats. It’s been utilized by Danny Brown, Macklemore (twice!), and Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, and Pharrell to enormous success. Add DJ Khaled to that list, as the new video for his ‘Til Next Time single “Supposed To Be Loved” presents pint-sized versions of the producer and his guests Future, Lil Baby, and Lil Uzi Vert.
Created in partnership with Nickelodeon — where Khaled is an eternal fixture thanks to his past participation in the Kids’ Choice Awards and willingness to get slimed for a good cause — the kid-friendly video sees TikTok star Julian Shapiro-Barnum interviewing the actors about love in the style of his popular “Recess Therapy” videos. Their answers are typically innocent yet astute and hilarious and their performances are likewise adorable (its pretty obvious they only barely know the words, but they make up for it in enthusiasm). The Lil Uzi stand-in even has a little costume gem glued to his forehead. The video also premiered on Nickelodeon,l ikely giving Khaled a little more cachet with his own two kids.
Nickelodeon played a pretty big part in the spread and popularity of hip-hop with millennials thanks to shows like All That and Kenan And Kel embracing the culture with their theme songs and musical performances, so it’s nice to see them carry on tradition.

Madisyn Shipman is someone who gained prominence on the television show Game Shakers. For those who may not know, this was a show on Nickelodeon that was quite popular. Shipman was one of the show’s stars, and overall, fans loved her. However, Shipman has made a bit of a career pivot that has come as a huge surprise to many. Over the weekend, she decided to pose for Playboy as part of their new creator platform. In an interview, Shipman revealed exactly why she did it.
“I have always felt a sense of repression in terms of my sexuality and showing my body,” Shipman explained to Fox News Digital. “And I think a lot of that is because I grew up on a Nickelodeon show. You’re taught that you can’t wear crop tops, you can’t show too much skin [and] you’ve got to be presented as a little girl constantly. And whenever that ends, I had a little bit of an identity crisis because I didn’t know who I was.”
With many fans taking to social media to voice their opinions, Shipman decided to address everyone. In the Instagram post below, she thanked the supporters, while noting that she is all about “personal development.” “Thank y’all for the love and support y’all have shown me over the last couple of days with the media response to me learning to love myself and grow as a person. If you don’t know I’m a huge advocate for personal development,” Shipman said. “I’m working on myself everyday to become a better version of myself. I encourage each of you to do the same. You should be your #1 priority. As for the naysayers. We all encounter them in life. Hurt people hurt people.

After news broke of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce, apparently a lot of skeletons started to emerge out of the former’s closet. Moreover, there’s been a lot of speculation about why they split, all of which are purely rumors about cheating or just different lifestyles. However, this also made many celebrities look back on their experiences with them, and some even spoke out about it. Most scandalously as of late, Alexa Nikolas of “Zoey 101” claimed that she and the Jonas brother met when they were teens. Allegedly, he still made certain advances on her despite his public-facing abstention of sexual activity he had at the time.
“I met Joe Jonas when we were teens and let’s just say he’s the guy who wore a purity ring but asked for nudes,” Alexa Nikolas tweeted. They’re now both in their 30s, and it’s unclear exactly when this supposed request happened. Still, it contrasts with the public image Joe Jonas and his brothers had, as they all wore purity rings when they blew up until 2013. It’s an aspect of the band that was a big talking point for fans and spectators, even though Joe later admitted that he lost his virginity before they publicly put the rings away.
“We decided to take the rings off a few years ago,” the 34-year-old told New York Magazine. “I lost my virginity when I was 20. I did other stuff before then, but I was sexually active at 20. I’m glad I waited for the right person because you look back and you go, ‘That girl was bats**t cr*zy. I’m glad I didn’t go there.’” Even Sophie Turner herself joked about his “abstention” back during the “Jonas Brothers Family Roast” in 2021. In fact, Jay-Zreferenced it on The Blueprint 3, which Joe Jonas found quite funny even if he had already ditched his party ring before the song came out.
Meanwhile, with all this context in mind, it’s unclear what nature he made this alleged advance in, although it’s not a good look either way. Regardless, the drama and gossip behind his divorce will most likely fuel a lot more discussions and allegations like these. Hopefully this is the last we hear of his lewd leanings, especially when his and Alexa Nikolas’ careers were just starting out. Kodak Black is best known for his rapper and his music. He has five studio albums, which date back to 2017. His best-performing album was 2018’s Dying To Live, which was the year-end #1 album. His most recent album, Pistols & Pearlz, peaked at #19 after being released in April 2023.
Now we know that Black wanted to be a rapper from a young age. He began rapper in elementary school and recording at a local trap house. Furthermore, he would read the thesaurus to increase his vocabulary. However, new footage that is being circulated online shows that at one time, Black had another passion – acting.
In a video that has done the rounds in recent days, a young Kodak Black, or at least someone who has been claimed to be a young Kodak Black, reveals that he is coming home from a Nickelodeon audition. “Yeah, auditioning with Nickelodeon ’cause you know a new show coming out, feel me. Just, just stay tuned. I’m gon’ be on there. I know how to act.” It’s unknown when the video was shot. However, we can make some educated guesses. Black appears to be around 8-10 years old in the video. That would put the video around 2007-2009. This is a pretty lucrative era for Nickelodeon. Here is a list of every Nickelodeon show that was in development between 2007 and 2009:
Just For Kicks (However, this was a show about a girl’s soccer team so maybe not)
The Naked Brothers Band
True Jackson, VP
Big Time Rush
None of these shows feel perfect for the video. However, if dated right now, the video also came out at a time when Nickelodeon wasn’t great about casting Black actors or having prominent Black characters in their shows. However, if Black is 8-10 in that video, those are the “new shows” on Nickelodeon around that time. Obviously, Black’s audition was unsuccessful and he focused on rapping from a young age. However, it’s a previously unknown insight into the young rapper’s life.
